[[folder: From Animals to Diverse Humans]]
* Why did they get rid of Dora's animal friends and give her a group of friends that has unusual diversity for Mexico? It's unfathomable where they thought it was a good thing.
** Mexico is actually a very diverse country.
** They wanted her to be like Strawberry Shortcake, Barbie and other slice of life girl shows. It made sense but to have the explorer element for education was weird since that threw that kind of genre off.

[[folder: Why Not Fly?]]
* On the episode where they had to get to the South Pole, hey apparently took a magical airplane from South America (presumably that's where they live), to the ice pack. They had to get over water filled with icebergs, then a huge snowy mountain. Why the fuck didn't they just fly the plane the whole way?
** It's ''Dora''. This is the girl who can't see a mountain three feet in front of her.

[[folder: Dora's Accent]]
* If Dora is supposed to be Mexican or Mexican/American, why does she have an English accent when she speaks Spanish but no Spanish accent when she speaks English? Other Hispanic characters in the show, like Tico, have a correct Mexican accent when they speak Spanish, but Dora herself has a clear English accent, and when she tries to sound more Spanish, overdoes it with an exaggerated strong "r" sound ("Grrrasias"). They couldn't hire a real Hispanic voice actress for the role?
** For some people who were born and raised Hispanic, and raised in America, they will completely lose their accent over time and it will be replaced by American ones, like Californian, which can heavily seep into their Spanish.
** And note that some other characters don't understand English and Dora [[BreakingTheFourthWall exhorts the audience]] to call out to them in Spanish. Dora speaks both English and Spanish, but with an English accent. This does seem to mean she is of a Hispanic background, raised in the English speaking world, now living in Mexico.

[[folder: Sleeping Boots-y]]
* During the Fairytale Dora special thingy, Dora must wake Boots up before all the leaves fall off this wall. What happens when that happens? They never say. Assuming Boots will be put in a permanent sleep.
** Maybe ''that's'' why Dora lost her animal friends and grew up...
[[/folder]]

[[folder: Random Rainbows]]
* They never get rainbows right. ''Never.'' Most of the time, they only have four or five bands of color, and the order is completely random - red-green-orange-blue-yellow or the like. Not the sort of thing one wants to see in an educational show.
** Well, magic exists in this universe, but you do have a point about the "educational show" part.
** The colors of the rainbow (not counting indigo) also make up the LGBT flag. They probably mixed up the colors and stuff so as to avoid directly looking like said flag, and then getting attacked by homophobic parent groups for supposedly promoting "the gay agenda". Remember, the show premiered around the time before ''[=SpongeBob=]'' got attacked for allegedly promoting homosexuality.

[[folder: Boots's Age]]
* Dora has gotten older and in "Dora's Christmas Carol Adventure" when she appeared older, Boots appeared older too (mostly just a outfit change and maybe a few inches taller but it was something. Reason on bring this up is because they aired the special of "Dora's Explorer Girls" and Boots DOES INDEED show up but he hasn't aged a day even though Dora looks older... of course he only showed up at the very end but still, what exactly happened?
** The older Dora and Boots from the Christmas special were from an alternate future. Dora stopped that future when she reformed Swiper, so that future never happened. The Dora and Boots from Explorer girls are from a different future, so look different.
** Boots time travels to that future. Obviously they can go to the future/past to reform Swiper, so surely Boots can time travel to when Dora is older.

[[folder: Why Can't Swiper Block His Ears?]]
* Why can't Swiper just put in earmuffs, or earplugs to stop himself from hearing the words "Swiper no Swiping"?
** Because he's an idiot? Also, it wouldn't be a fun show to watch if Swiper was either: a. able to swipe Dora and Boots' belongings all the time or b. failed in swiping Boots and Dora's belongings.
** He could, but then he'd be cheating -- and, aside from the BadFuture version in ''Dora's Christmas Carol Adventure'', Swiper isn't a thief. This is literally just a game he plays with the other characters, and "Swiper, no swiping!" is how he gives you a chance to win.
[[/folder]]

[[folder: Why Does Swiper Freeze?]]
* Why does Swiper seem to freeze whenever Dora and Boots say, "Swiper, no swiping"? Like, really? He's a frickin' FOX! A fox against a human girl and her pet monkey? Oh gee, wonder who is gonna win that one?
** It's the mask. He's shocked that they managed to recognize him despite the disguise and his mind is screaming "Abort! Abort!"
** Also, RuleOfFunny.
** He doesn't always. If he's too far away to grab the item, and not currently doing something else, he'll freeze. Otherwise, fair game.
** Just because he swipes things doesn't mean he WouldHurtAChild or a monkey.
** As mentioned, he considers what he's doing to be a game. Freezing is how he gives the others an advantage.

[[folder: Why is Everything Sentient?]]
* Why is everything in ''Dora the Explorer'' sentient?
** [[StockEpilepticTrees Due to horrible scientific experiments]], no doubt.
** Or maybe it's because [[{{Doylist}} Dora is a kids show]] and kids LIKE talking animals.
** Magic has been explicitly stated to exist in this universe and things like the stars and the backpack and stuff are explicitly stated to be magic. Granted, we don't know how the magic ''works'', but its existence would explain why some objects are sentient.
** The weird thing is not everything is sentient. Like the items that's in backpack and many places they go to show that some objects don't move or are not alive.
[[/folder]]

[[folder: Dora's shirt]]
* How does Dora put on her shirt without the neck being stretched into uselessness?
** Maybe it's also magic like the explorer stars, or maybe it's made of a fabric that can easily snap back after being stretched.
[[/folder]]

[[folder: Why Does Swiper Keep Swiping?]]
* You'd think he'd get the hint that Dora and Boots don't want him snatching their items, so why is he trying? And why isn't Dora and Boots contacting a pest control center on Swiper?
** Again, ''Dora'' is a children's show. If they called a pest control center that would ruin it for the kids that don't realize how dumb Dora actually is.
** It'll make the show less fun to watch if there were no antagonists.
** The {{Watsonian}} answer might be that calling a pest control centre on a sapient creature is unethical. Also, maybe he keeps trying because [[TheGadfly he wants to annoy them]].

[[folder: Where are the Explorer Stars Now?]]
* Whatever happened to the Explorer Stars? They pretty much disappeared after season 4.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Perrito's Name]]
* Will he be renamed Perro when he grows up?
