* If Vash can heal from damn near any injury, why does his torso look all chewed up like he's been fed through a wood chipper?
** Damn ''near'' any. He may very well have gotten eviscerated a few times.
** In the manga, it turns out that while Vash can heal from his wounds, it uses his life force. Whenever a plant uses their energy, their hair slowly turns black, and whenever it becomes completely black, they die. Thus, Vash doesn't heal because he'd rather live with his scars than outright die.
*** Except that he never knew about the black hair thing until decades after he had the scars. It's likely he didn't even know he could heal, or if he did, simply chose to keep the scars as a reminder of the price of not taking a life.
* Is it just me or is the anime ending complete and utter nonsense? Vash spends the entire show going to great lengths not to do a thing... and then does that thing. It'd make sense if it was expanded further about WHY he decided to kill Knives in the final fight but... it just happens and then it immediately ends. No "I've realized that I can't let him live and continue killing others" or anything, not even Vash having any kind of emotional ramifications from finally killing his brother. It confused the hell out of me cos Vash jumps up and goes "I know how to save Knives!" like he has a plan, and then he just shoots him stone cold dead and goes home smiling with the corpse over his shoulder.
Bear in mind that I haven't read the manga yet.. I hope it makes more sense there. Heck, I was so confused I wasn't sure if Knives was even dead or not despite him being riddled with bullets...
