* Neto's two mechanics arguing endlessly about whether one of the police cars has a carburetor or not, while an exasperated Neto is just trying to finish a list of car pieces.
* There is something darkly humourous about the way the cops' moving bodies over precinct borders to shirk responsibility is described as musical chairs.
* When Mathias falls asleep during a BOPE class, his captain gives him a ''live'' grenade and tells him to hold on to it, then goes back to the lesson.
-->"[[DissonantSerenity We are all counting on you.]] I will resume the lecture. The concept of strategy, in greek ''strateegia'', in latin ''strategi'', in french..."
* The sheer amount of crap that Fabio goes through during the BOPE training: first, he is forced to eat food from the grown after Nascimento notices he hasn't had any. A while after that, Nascimento ascends him to new team leader and orders him to line up all of his partners; Fabio manages to do it somewhat decently...only to get beat up by his superiors because his shoe lace was untied. After being given a ReasonYouSuckSpeech about his corruption and weakness, Fabio finally gives up, and, as a final humilliation, is forced to dig up a grave (while his fungus-infected foot still hasn't healed) and bury his hat as a way of saying goodbye.
** To top it all off, when Fabio deserts, Nascimento assigns another recruit as team leader, who ''inmediatly'' gives up too.
* Nascimento's tendency of using "buffoon" as an insult can be rather jarring considering the otherwise extremely graphic language the films otherwise portrays.
** Not a tendency though: He says it once to Neto. And it's justified since it wasn't said with hostile intentions, but rather meant to tease and make fun of him.
