* The opening scene at the Baltimore Symphony. We meet Benjamin Raspail, who plays the flute. Badly. What makes it funny is that we see Dr. Lecter's reactions every time the player screws up. By the end of the scene, Lecter's expression basically says "That's it, you're on my grocery list".
* Hannibal Lector folding all his psychiatric tests into origami, much to the annoyance of Dr. Chilton.
* The dinner and a show segment. Lecter proving to be the same ManipulativeBastard we loved in Silence, gets Graham to arrange a fancy dinner with some music. [[EvilIsPetty All for the sole purpose of pissing off Dr. Chilton,]] who is watching on the cameras. Barney and another orderly are the only ones that get a [[ActuallyPrettyFunny laugh from it.]]
** During this dinner, one of the chefs is passing the soup portion through the tray to Lecter's cell when suddenly [[JumpScare Lecter's face suddenly appears on the other side, startling him]]. [[NiceToTheWaiter Lecter merely smiles at him through the plexiglass wall and mouths "Thank you" before taking it to eat]]. The chef sighs in relief.
* This exchange between Lecter and Dr. Chilton:
-->'''Hannibal Lecter:''' Beneath the yellow folder, you'll find your latest rejection slip from the archives. It was brought to me by mistake with some of my archives mail. I'm afraid I opened it without looking. Sorry.\\
'''Dr. Frederick Chilton:''' I think we'll remove Dr. Lecter's toilet seat as well.
* Graham is expecting a call from his wife Molly, and when the phone rings he answers with "Hello, Hotlips"...but it's Byron Metcalf, the Jacobis' lawyer, who calls him a silver-tongued devil and tells him they found the home movies he requested. A couple chapters later Graham has just had his EurekaMoment from watching the footage, and calls Metcalf back.
-->'''Will Graham:''' Okay, I want to know where they got a movie film developed. Probably a store sent it off for them...Will you do that? Great. What? [[BrickJoke No, I will not introduce you to Hotlips]].
* Despite the tension of the moment, when Dolarhyde has Josh at the point of a shard of glass, Will launches into a series of insults against his son for peeing himself, mirroring the insults that Dolarhyde's own grandmother used against him when he was younger, to push his {{Berserk Button}} and save his son. However, it just comes up so suddenly that it's borderline hilarious.
-->'''Will''': Say 'I'm sorry, daddy, I'm a dirty little beast'! SAY IT!
** Both Awesome and funny, but it actually works, enough so that instead of holding Josh hostage, Dolarhyde then holds Josh in an almost protective manner, as though instead of hurting the kid, he's now going to protect him from his father. Yes, you heard that right, Will Graham succeeded in a {{Reverse Psychology}} on a killer!
