* When the Daily Telegraph celebrated 150 years of publication by re-issuing a facsimile of its first issue from the [=1850s=], the Eye came up with their own version that consisted of putting the Telegraph's modern image in contemporary terms. It had a cartoon by 'Matthias' rather than Matt, a daring picture of "Miss Eliza Hurley's ankle", [[RunningGag young cub reporter Bill Deedes reporting on the Crimean War]], and [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lord_Lucan Lord Lucan]] having been found and turning out to be [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Bingham,_3rd_Earl_of_Lucan a commander in the war]]. Best of all was the opening editorial, in which the editor says the newspaper will [[BlatantLies not show partisan bias and will consider each issue in a balanced way]], before concluding that the Tory Party is always the best choice to run a happy, prosperous Britain, "at peace with itself, and at war with everyone else."
