Being a Creator/CBeebies show, Postman Pat has seen some fairly funny moments including;

!!From the original series:
* A hen stealing Pat's sandwich in "Postman Pat and the Magpie Hen".
* Jess tripping up Pat in "Postman Pat's Difficult Day". Pat's hat even lands on Jess's head; for this, Pat nicknames him Postman Jess.
* Pat hitting Alf Thompson with a snowball in "Postman Pat Goes Sledging".
* Pat has an accident in the post office after putting on Mrs Goggins' spare glasses in "Postman Pat in a Muddle".
* Pat getting stuck in the clay when it starts to run in "Postman Pat Misses the Show".
** Again in the same episode, the gust of wind covers Miss Hubbard's blouse in paint, with Pat remarking "I think the wind's trying to paint you!".
* Granny Dryden forgetting her hat in "Postman Pat Takes the Bus".

!!From the 2004 series:
* Ted overfilling a massive balloon (which exploded in front of Pat and Jess) in ''Postman Pat's Flying Post''.
* In "Postman Pat and the Green Rabbit", Pat has to climb a fence to retrieve Green Rabbit from the sheep pen, which results in a WardrobeMalfunction as the seat of his trousers get torn. Even better is that he never bothers to put new trousers on for the entirety of the episode!

!!From the movie:
* While the movie is infamously more dark and actionized than nearly anything in the original show, it at least seems to be frequently self-aware of it.
** Nearly everything Edwin Carbunkle says and does lampoons the cosiness of the franchise:
-->'''Carbunkle:''' The days of loveable friendly mailmen helping quaint country characters with their stupid little problems is over!
** When Carbunkle has the Pat-Bot and Jess-Bot [[TheUnsmile demonstrate how friendly they are]], Pat says what [[NightmareFuel pretty much everyone watching is thinking]]:
-->'''Pat:''' Er... that's a ''lot'' of teeth...!
** Early test runs for the core robot show they had clear problems making a customer friendly design for the robot postman. A documented video shows a subject being scared witless by numerous failed prototypes delivering post to her door, among them are [[Series/LostInSpace Class M-3 Robot]] and [[Series/DoctorWho a Dalek with a fruit basket]].
* In a darkly humorous sense, Pat's initial introduction to the Pat-Bot 3000:
-->'''Pat:''' Well then, good luck. And remember, the most important thing for a postman is...
-->'''Pat-Bot 3000:''' SPEED. EFFICIENCY. [[BreadEggsMilkSquick RULING THE WORLD]].
-->'''Pat:''' Well, I was going to say "being friendly". You know, [[ComicallyMissingThePoint the human touch!]]
