* The very designs of the Gundams found in this show, which are seen as so utterly ridiculous and improbable for the various series in the granddaddy of the RealRobotGenre. Let's see here:
** To start, the Nobel Gundam, which got stripped straight from ''Franchise/SailorMoon'' and made into a Gundam.
** The Tequila Gundam. They had to put a sombrero on it, didn't they?
** ''Mermaid'' Gundam.
** ''Zebra'' Gundam.
** ''Hurricane'' Gundam full stop! Holland's Gundam is literally a walking windmill! Only thing missing is a [[Theatre/ManOfLaMancha Gundam Quixote]] to fight and the ridiculousness is complete!
** The Gundam Maxter, Neo-America's Gundam. How American is it? Its armor resembles American football gear (complete with helmet), it wears boxing gloves, a shield shaped like a surfboard, and handguns that resemble old Western six-shooters. Is it even possible to add on anymore stereotypes? And did we mention that Gundam Maxter abs in boxer mode?
*** Then there’s Chibodee, Maxter’s pilot. Just how American is he? He dresses like he’s from the Wild West, he likes to carry pieces of straw in his mouth like a farmer, he’s incredibly patriotic, and when he’s terrified in his match against Jester Gundam, his girls snap him out of it by singing the national anthem.
* One of the [=OSTs=] comes with an audio play that sees the characters attending the premiere of a movie based off of their adventures. The entire story is one long CMOF, with notable moments including the movie swapping Rain and Sai Saici's roles (making Rain part of TheTeam and Sai the DamselInDistress, to the real Sai's annoyance) and a scene where the heroes stand at the base of Tokyo Tower and shout up at Master Asia, with the conversation [[GossipEvolution rapidly becoming distorted and confused due to the distance]].
* While breaking out of the Russian prison, Domon runs into an enormous, muscular man blocking his path. Domon immediately starts [[PunchPunchPunchUhOh punching him in the stomach]], [[NoSell but the man's stern facial expression doesn't change an iota]]. Then he knocks out Domon by smacking him on the head. And thus Domon met Argo Gulskii.
* From episode: 10, we get five words that sums up the series pretty well, in gleefully LargeHam fashion: ''[[https://youtu.be/bPeb8mU8kI4?t=3m7s BUT THAT'S JUST PLAIN NUTS!]]''
* While training, Sai Saici drops in to cause some mischief, even lifting up Rain's skirt [[PantyShot and showing her white panties]]. After he runs off into the distance, Rain asks Domon if he saw. [[{{Tsundere}} His]] answer? He turns beet red and falls underwater.
* Later, Sai Saici comes across the camp where the Neo-Russia team is staying and swipes some of their food undetected. While eating he spots Nastasha skinny dipping and can't help but stare at the [[{{Fanservice}} beautiful sight.]] Unfortunately he is so busy enjoying the show that he drops his spoon giving away his position and Nastasha hears the noise. She goes straight for her gun and tries to fill Sai Saici full of holes! Not one moment later and the young martial-artist runs [[{{CrashIntoHello}} head-first]] into the unflinching wall that is Argo. It's almost like a callback to when Domon first met Argo!
* Sai Saici drops in on Domon at the place he's staying during the finals. He arrives speeding on a bike with a few bags of groceries and a wok, only to trip and lose control as everything goes flying, but manages to regain his balance, catch the bike and the bags perfectly without spilling a thing. Then the wok hits him on his head and he falls over and spills everything.
* The announcer contrasts Chibodee's HotBlooded and [[LargeHam hammy]], American entrance to the Finals match with Domon's steady walk, reflecting the Japanese traditions of "calm and simplicity." Yes, [[HotBlooded Domon]] [[HairTriggerTemper Kasshu]] is being described as embodying the virtue of ''calm'' without any trace of irony.
* Allenby's complete lack of acknowledgement for rules and national protocol. She sees zero problems in giving proprietary Swedish upgrades to God Gundam, and when Chairman Karato protests her actually getting onto Neo-Japan's control platform to advise Domon she just says "shut up, old-timer!"
* After everyone is flipping out over the impossibility of the "God Shadow" technique, where Domon somehow ''duplicates his Gundam'' enough times to catch every strike from Chibodee's Bursting Machine-Gun Punch, Allenby's only comment is a thumbs-up and a "Yeah! The training helped!"
* When Sai Saici is being threatened by three guys in construction robots, Domon steps in using Burning Gundam (which in the dub he calls "Shining Gundam"). The guys run around Domon at high speed (they call it a jetstream attack, a ShoutOut to the Black Tri-Stars of the [[Anime/MobileSuitGundam original Gundam]]) kicking up so strong wind, only for Domon to stick his foot out to trip one, causing the others to slam into their buddy and fall over a rail into the water. Just for kicks, Burning Gundam's hands and doing a "job well done" gesture.
* Can any of us appreciate the fact that this future is really screwed up, [[FridgeLogic yet they had money]] [[GallowsHumor to design space colonies shaped like giant sombreros and a ship in a bottle]]...
* The original manga adaptation gave us a backup feature, ''Go For It, Domon!'' - a {{Yonkoma}} featuring the ''G Gundam'' characters taken out of canonical events and played off of each other for laughs.
** The entire strip runs on RuleOfFunny, and one RunningGag has Fuunsaiki (Master Asia's ''[[CoolHorse horse]]'') outranking Domon as Master Asia's first (and favorite) student!
** And then the series continues into the ''[[Anime/MobileSuitGundamWing Gundam Wing]]'' adaptation, only with ''Wing'' characters added and creating new rivalries with the Gundam Fighters.
** Ultimately crowning in the ''G-Unit/The Last Outpost'' manga, in which they included characters from the two above series, ''G-Unit'', and ''[[Anime/AfterWarGundamX Gundam X]]'', ''and'' featured a block of strips that included characters from [[Anime/MobileSuitGundam the original series]], ''[[Anime/MobileSuitGundam0080WarInThePocket Gundam 0080]]'', and ''[[Anime/MobileSuitGundam0083StardustMemory Gundam 0083]]''.
* Want to send your MS into space? Just ride on the outside of an ordinary rocket and hold on tight until you break out of Earth's gravity well! [[[https://www.reddit.com/r/Gundam/comments/l5c838/g_gundam_obviously_the_best_possible_way_to/ Best plan ever!]]]
* One blink-and-you-miss-it moment is during Domon's fight with India's Cobra Gundam. Domon, after [[DramaticDislocation dislocating his own shoulder]] to escape the Cobra's coil, begins his typical God Finger spiel, and lifts up his hand... the one on the arm he had just taken out of socket. He notices, and quickly switches to his other hand, complete with a pained "oww"-face.
* When one of the kids try to hijack the Burning Gundam, as if to make fun of the series as a whole, Domon shouts that "a kid in a Gundam is just asking for trouble". As a reminder, one of the strongest fighters in this show is Sai Saichi, another "kid in a Gundam".
