Despite being a DarkerAndEdgier offshoot, there are still some good funny moments in the ''VideoGame/MegaManX'' series.

* There are a lot of enemies that are based off of animals, including the Mavericks (read: Robot Masters). It can often get to ridiculous levels. One of the biggest examples is Sting Chameleon's stage in ''X1'', that had robot woodpeckers pick out robot caterpillars out of robot trees to attack our [[OverlyLongGag robot protagonist]]...
* Layer is so ''obviously'' in love with Zero, but the entire thing just flies over his head at Mach 1. He's so clueless it's almost adorable. [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zS0lEU4CL8w The music]] especially helps.
* The [[http://www.drneko.com/scanlation/rmseries/rmx/koma/x7/index.php?Result_Set=27 4Koma]] strips, while non-canon, are nothing but a string of hilarity. Highlights include X's {{Cloudcuckoolander}} moments and Alia being a mildly abusive TeamMom.
** Other highlights include:
--->'''Axl:''' But the real reason I left was my copy ability.\\
'''Zero:''' ''[stares]''\\
'''Axl:''' Uh, just promise me you won't ask me to [[PowerPerversionPotential change into Alia]] or anything...\\
'''Zero:''' ''[rapidly turns away]'' Like I'd do that.
** And then they made a fanart showing Axl doing ''exactly'' that.
** It is worth noting that roughly 75% of these consist of {{Take That}}s towards ''X7''.
* Hitting bosses with certain attacks in X1-4 causes some funny things to happen.
** Like hitting Split Mushroom with the [[ShockAndAwe Lighting Web or Zero's Raijingeki]].
** Use Twin Slasher to cut the web that Web Spider's hanging from and he'll fall to the ground with a splat and a hilarious yelp of pain.
** Hit Flame Mammoth with the Boomerang Cutter enough times and you'll chop off his trunk, not only disabling one of his attacks but making him look silly as well.
* The [[LocomotiveLevel Military Train]] stage in ''VideoGame/MegaManX4'' has the Repliforce mooks attempt to stop X or Zero by throwing grenades at the train couplings, destroying them and creating a BottomlessPit that the player quickly needs to dash-jump across. All three mooks who do this comically struggle to keep their balance after throwing the grenades, with the first one actually ''[[HoistByHisOwnPetard falling into the pit he created]]''.
* The boss Mavericks being named after members of Music/GunsNRoses in the US version of ''Mega Man X5''.
** The Skiver's name is [[AtrociousAlias doubly hilarious]] since the definition of a skiver can mean TheSlacker.
** Duff [=McWhalen's=] name takes the cake (or is it takes the beer?), especially given the popularity of Franchise/TheSimpsons in the Western world. All that was missing was to recolor the underwater effect to resemble beer for that famous in-universe brand in the latter.
* ''VideoGame/MegaManX4'': X goes in to fight [[MesACrowd Split Mushroom]], who says he's under orders to destroy him. When X demands to know whose orders it is, Mushroom replies "[[HijackedByGanon Take a wild guess]]." ''Then'' the boss health bar with a [[{{Foreshadowing}} Sigma logo]] appears.
* Getting the {{Shoryuken}} in ''VideoGame/MegaManX2''.
-->'''Dr. Light''': "Wow! You're so cool! I'm not worthy! I'm not worthy!"
* If you manage to get to the end of ''X6'' without ever unlocking Zero, he just suddenly shows up at the end without any context to compliment X for saving the day and disappears to leave the work to him for now, which understandably makes X and Alia flip out in confusion when they "feel" his presence. If you somehow got this as your first ending by ignoring at least one of the blatant secret paths shoved in your face, the player's likely going to be just as confused that he just pulled a [[VideoGame/MegaManClassic Proto Man]] without the game even hinting he's ''alive'' beyond the InterfaceSpoiler.
* In ''X8'', when Vile shows up for the first time since ''X3'', X and Zero immediately ready their weapons, while Axl gives them an utterly confused look as if begging for an {{Infodump}}.
* Running into a searchlight in Dark Mantis' stage in ''X8'' will lock you in a room with guard Reploids, who [[AttackAttackAttack spawn endlessly]]. Kill their leader, however, and any Reploids left alive will [[ScrewThisImOuttaHere charge off the platform to get away from you.]]
** In the same stage, Axl can trick a sleeping guard Reploid into opening the way to an electrical generator. After that, the Reploid will go right back to sleep no matter what you do, up to and including setting him on fire.
* Flame Hyenard's "BURN! BURN! BURN TO THE GROUND!" may be incredibly irritating, but it is also pretty hilarious.
* In Soldier Stonekong's level, you get the feet parts for the Glide Armor. The funny part is that Dr. Light apparently thought that someone could use a glide for evil.
* The brain-breaking implication that Bit or Byte on their ''own'' can still form a combined form of '''both of them''' if you managed to kill one of them in ''X3'' before reaching the Doppler stage where they fuse together into Godkarmachine. Whaaaa???
* When you reach the Light Capsule containing the [[Franchise/StreetFighter Hadoken]] ability in ''X1'', you can see the Dr. Light hologram dressed up as Ryu.
** Even better, every time X launches one, he uses Ryu's voice clip [[HeliumSpeech pitched and sped up,]] making it sound like a midget firing off Hadokens.
* In the challenge mode, finishing off the enemy units at the right time can lead to some amusing imagery. For instance, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nN3lpc0qPGM&t=219s here Iris looks like she's engaged in team-killing]].
* The official Mega Man twitter account had a little fun with the "nature is healing" meme which resulted from the 2020 COVID-19 Pandemic with [[https://twitter.com/MegaMan/status/1261385969045037059 this tweet]] stating that the wild Mavericks were finally returning to their natural habitats. After showing things like Sting Chameleon in the jungle, the final image is a picture of [[TakeThatScrappy Tornado Tonion in a dumpster.]]
* Some of the Achievement names in the legacy collections warrant a chuckle; the series lampshades it's HijackedByGanon Status with every final boss achievements being some variation of the same phrase. "It's Over". (X1) "It's Really Over" (X2), "It's Over.. Right?" (X3), "It's Defiantly Over" (X4), "Alright It's Over" (X5), "I'm Sure It's Over This Time" (X6), "It Has to be Over Now" (X7) and finally "It's Over, Once and For All" (X8).
* The ''Irregular Hunter Rockman X'' manga has a scene that feature Flame Mammoth [[https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/flame_mammoth_and_his_ride_armor.png piloting a Ride Armor]]. The sight of a giant, built-like-a-sumo, reploid manning a model ''meant'' for an average-sized reploid (or human) is incredibly silly to behold. It makes one wonder how Flame Mammoth is able to operate it properly, given that his body can barely fit by the mech's frame (his lower body is partially visible).
* In X2 the lead-up to Overdrive Ostrich's fight is simultaneously awesome and hilarious as X jumps on his missile and shoots it down, landing on the ground. Let's just say the big guy wasn't so happy about his missile being destroyed as right before enacting the fight he sprints angrily in the background, leaps on screen and proceeds to screech in an utterly frustrated manner right in X's face, making for a rather hilarious moment for such a serious and badass looking antagonist.
