* When Harold tells Maude that the hearse she just stole and uses to drive him home is his car. Her reaction: If that's his car, he shall drive her home.
* The act that gets Harold out of being drafted. Up until this point, Uncle Victor is hilarious in general. Just the fact that he has rigged the sleeve for his missing arm to still be able to give salutes is priceless.
* When Sunshine reveals her forename to be Dorée — and explains seconds later that it's actually just Dor.
* Sunshine seeing right through Harold's "suicide" and joining the act.
** Harold's mother's reaction. "Harold! That was your last date!"
** Sunshine pausing her monologue to check that the knife actually retracts before continuing.
* After Harold's mother tells him to "Eat your beets", we see Harold suddenly become very animated and stuff them into his mouth, unchewed. The next scene shows his mother entering a 'blood' spattered bathroom, complete with 'dead' Harold in bathtub.
* Harold's priest's reaction to his romance with a 79-year-old woman is an incredibly long, pause-heavy lecture. Props to the actor for genuinely looking like he's about to Squick lose his lunch.
** Also funny in an icky way is that he seems to be turned on by the thought of naked Harold.
* When Harold's mother is swimming laps in the pool, she is briefly interrupted by the realisation that Harold is floating face down in the pool next to her. She briefly breaks her stroke, but it's her eye-roll that really sells it.
