* You start the Facility stage by recreating the scene from [[Film/GoldenEye the movie]] dropping in on a guard in a toilet stall doing his business. However, in the game, the guards in the bathroom stalls are standing at attention, fully clothed, facing away from the toilet.
* On the second trip to the Severnaya Bunker, the player is tasked with retrieving CCTV footage showing their capture at the end of the previous mission. What does the VHS tape containing the footage look like in-game and in the player's inventory? A copy of the movie!
* [[OneHitPointWonder License To Kill]] + [[CherryTapping Slappers Only]].
** Or License to Kill + [[StuffBlowingUp explosive weapons only]]. Because of the way explosive weapons are implemented in this game, players will end up frequently dying from the "fumes" of the explosion and not the explosion itself.
* Any time you're in an elevator, the music is overridden with [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TFiP7Ddg0Ns elevator]] [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6fJ8JNtxw8w music]]. It's even more entertaining when it plays during multiplayer battles!
** The January 2023 rerelease trailer for Nintendo Switch Online even shows Bond in an elevator with the first music.
* Turning on the floating mine cheat can lead to some of the best fun in the whole game. Walking around leaving a hovering trail of remote mines behind you just to watch the pretty explosions afterwards can make it all worthwhile. This can be taken even further when combined with the All Weapons and Infinite Ammo cheats, which let you place ''floating tank shells'' throughout the level.
* If you complete Cradle with the Slow Motion cheat, the helicopter (not affected by the cheat[[note]]do note, in this case, how it subtly shakes; that would be the point when Bond jumps and grabs on to the skid[[/note]]) will just fly off without you. Conversely, if you complete the level with the Fast Motion cheat, then ''Bond'' will fly off without the helicopter.
* If you enable the Enemy Rockets cheat in the Frigate level, the enemy soldiers will execute their hostages by just prodding them with their rocket launchers.
* The second level in the mission briefing gives M this gem.
--> There are no women or casinos for a thousand miles 007, so even you will be able to concentrate on the mission.
* The All Weapons cheat grants you access to every weapon in the game. And yes, the ''tank cannon'' counts as one of those weapons. Now imagine Bond running around with a detached turret in a cramped facility blowing mooks into pieces. This can also be done without cheats via a glitch on the Streets level.
* The Paintball cheat turns bullet holes into paintball splatters. Turn on the [[BottomlessMagazines Infinite Ammo]] cheat or use the Laser (which naturally has unlimited ammo) and let your imagination run wild. Or pretend to be in elementary school all over again and [[VideoGamePerversityPotential paint phalluses all over the place]].
* Completing the Depot mission with Fast Animation turned on will affect how the cutscene plays out. Enter the train before killing the guards inside while holding a pistol? Bond will kill one of the guards by [[HitBoxDissonance shooting into open space]].
* The ending has Bond and Natalia share TheBigDamnKiss... for the ''entire duration of the credits''. It's extra funny with knowledge of the film, as they are meant to be surrounded by Jack Wade and a whole detachment of camouflaged CIA agents who are apparently just sitting there and watching.
* If one does the controller trick on the Egyptian stage, they can shoot Baron Samedi while he's laughing during the ending cutscene. Watching him flop down after being shot is both hilarious and satisfying. With the same glitch, you can shoot Natalya during several end of chapter cutscenes. One of the most hilarious examples is the Archives, allowing you to watch Bond posing dramatically, completely unconcerned as Natalya dies right behind him.
* Throwing knives avert TheBladeAlwaysLandsPointyEndIn in the most entertaining way possible by comically bouncing off enemies whenever they strike. It makes it seem as though Bond is either going out of his way to knock enemies out by hitting them with the hilt, or he just utterly ''sucks'' at knife-throwing.
** Even the way that Bond holds the throwing knives, ''like a pistol grip with the cutting edge into his fingers'', is humorous for being both silly and obviously unsafe.
* [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jAw9G6lLhm4 An extensive model and text mod]] by [=StupidMarioBros1Fan=] was released and showcased in Jan 2018 where all of the Goldeneye characters were replaced with Mario characters.
* Following on the heels of the Mario Mod is [=CrashOveride=] with his very own [[http://n64vault.com/ge-for-fun:goldeneye-with-sonic-characters Sonic Mod]] that was released on December 25th 2018.
* Playing the Silo mission with Invincibility cheat on. Throw a C4 and shoot it. Now, run through the level and you can walkthrough the level without shooting a single bullet because the building will continuously explode. Granted, you would fail the mission upon completion for also killing the scientists.
* A meta example as discussed in [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FKkhzioZVD0 this video]], which talks about John Kaleta's discovery that the game ran faster if you looked at the ground, allowing for faster times, which he attributed to a guide for ''VideoGame/PerfectDark'' that advised him to "put your nose down to the grindstone & haul ass" - or in other words, ''[=GoldenEye=]'' speedruns got faster because an old man read a turn of phrase in a walkthrough and [[LiteralMinded took it literally]].
* Multiplayer mode has a few hilarious sights to see thanks to the limited animation on character models of player characters from the viewpoint of the other player(s). Famously, crouching and moving around results in characters sliding around in their kneeling pose. There's also no third-person animation for unarmed combat, so when you are accosted by enemies this way, they'll just be somewhat shuffling around in front of you, arms at their sides (or again, not animating at all if they're crouched). Holding down the aim button and strafing left and right (the "peek" mechanic) results in the character just sliding rapidly back and forth across the ground in a very snappy, unnatural way. Finally, for whatever reason, looking straight up and strafing left and right quickly over and over again (without holding down the aim button) will cause your character to rapidly contort their entire upper body in bizarre ways from the viewpoint of the other player(s).
