* The Count has a moment of dark humor in Episode 2 when he not so casually tosses a bag full of coins - Albert's ransom fee - at the smug douchebag working for Luigi Vampa. The bag hits the guy in the face, and judging by how he fell over, the Count didn't just toss the bag - he threw it! The fact that it's THE COUNT - a man who rarely loses his cool - is pretty funny since it shows that even he has a silly side.
* It is probably an accident of dubbing it from the original Japanese, but the overly melodramatic english dub that never uses one word when they can use five is hysterical. ”That's Valentine's mother. Though they're not related by blood. That's Edouard, her younger brother. He and Valentine have different mothers.” You do know there are better words to use to get that information across, Albert?
* The Count whispering something into Albert's ear after he admits that he has a rendezvous with "someone" (Peppo), and Albert's clear shock and embarrassment: "She's a boy?!"
** Cue a shot of Peppo grinning and winking mischievously.
* Peppo teasingly suggests Albert try dressing more flamboyantly to impress the Count. Albert thinks dressing flamboyantly means dressing in a pirate captain's outfit.
* Maximilian's rather...loud declaration of love for Valentine.
