* The opening of the game is fairly standard for an RPG of its type, but has its funny moments peppered in there (such as a Ninja trying to rob the Weapon Shop, only for Hans to [[ShopliftAndDie punch his lights out]] before he can even take anything). Of note is the ending, where the Warrior goes to fight the dragon. Sword and shield drawn, he gets ready for a fight, only to see that right behind him are the Alchemist hiding behind him, the Thief getting ready to KillSteal, and the Magician [[ArsonMurderAndJaywalking playing a videogame]]. How does it all end? The [[EpicFail fighter gets roasted by the dragon]], The Alchemist cowers, then is punted aside by The Thief, who proceeds to get the kill, only to be electrocuted by the Magician. The kicker is that said Magician's overall value skyrockets, [[BrokeTheRatingScale breaking the others' rating lines]] which advertises that screwing over everybody else is perfectly acceptable in this game.
* The thief's ability to steal random items from the players they pass and their ensuing frustration is par for the course. However, that ability also activates when they land on the same space. The thief has enough guts not only to pickpocket the person they are standing right next to, but to stay there and watch as their victim only stomps in frustration.
** The ability also activates each time they pass the same player. For the best results, use a 5 Spinner when another player is in a loop of spaces to get a lot of items (and ''really'' upset said player as well).
* You can actually eat the food items from towns, including ones that Leane gives you. Most of the time a message appears saying that it's delicious without doing anything, but sometimes you can actually get your stats boosted or HP recovered.
* Rico Jr. screams "So STRONG!" when he is defeated in the English version (while in the Japanese version he doesn't scream as loud).
* If you succeed in robbing a town without taxes, the mayor will instead laugh at you.
* If you finish the chapter main quest in Story Mode with no towns occupied, the king will be surprised, and informs you that the castle he's giving you would be worth nothing, and encourages you to occupy more towns.
* So since the passport to the Heck requires a sacrifice of 1/4 of your towns, what would happen if you don't own a town at all? The gate will mock you and won't agree to give you the passport.
--> '''Underworld Gate''': You're not getting in that easily. Begone, mortal.
* During the final chapter, if a player has transformed into a Darkling, [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9tPZUuTuBUs their Clonus would also be a Darkling]].
* If you give the king something he doesn't like in person, he'll be angry and say that he is speechless and he understands that "this is how you feel about him". Then he'll just return to normal like nothing had happened.
* If the winner at the end of the game is a female character, the king is shocked, showing that he never planned for the possibility that a girl might succeed at the quest. He then offers to marry the player himself while dressing like a ''bride''!
