* The series had an episode about faking sick to stay home from school, mentioning several "sick day legends" including a student who faked his own death. To a kid that might seem pretty amusing but try watching it as an adult, realizing how his family would've reacted to an apparent suicide... goes a bit beyond the standard quirkiness and surrealism of the show.
* In the episode "Allnighter" Monica claims that she has excellent hearing due to the fact that one of her ancestors married a bloodhound. This would go over the heads of most younger viewers, but anyone with basic understanding of reproduction would have to have a fridge horror moment realizing what this implied.
