* FridgeBrilliance:
** When [[spoiler: [=LeChuck=] gets his voodoo form back]], he goes back to having his original voice actor, [[spoiler: Earl Boen,]] and, from then on, starts to make smarter and more dangerous moves. Basically, [[spoiler: the ''true'' [=LeChuck=] is back]].
** In Chapter 1, when you ask Nipperkin about Morgan [=LeFlay=], he will tell you that none of the stories he heard add up, each pirate describing a different man, leading him to believe that someone's trying to hide something. Cue the reveal that [[spoiler:[=Morgan LeFlay=] is actually a woman, and suddenly all the different stories make sense : none of the pirates would admit to have been beaten and captured by a woman, so each one made up a different description of the dreaded pirate hunter!]]
** Guybrush's [[MajorInjuryUnderreaction relatively unconcerned]] reaction to having [[spoiler:his hand lopped off by Morgan's sword]] makes sense if you notice that it's not [[OrganAutonomy flailing around uncontrollably]], meaning he was able to anesthetize it with grog like he said he would.
** Throughout the series, treasure is always buried under a visible X. At first, [[spoiler: [=LeChuck's=] spell]] in chapter 5 seems like an exception to this, but in fact, [[spoiler: it's at the center of the biggest X there is, the Crossroads themselves]].
* FridgeHorror:
** The first time you knock on De Singe's door, you can hear a man screaming, [[MadDoctor "OHHH HO HO HO! MY NOSE!"]] There is a nose-shaped pot next to the door.
** In the Chapter 2 intro, the Voodoo Lady is seen reading Guybrush's future [[spoiler: and predicting his death]]. In Chapter 3, you use these tarot cards to curse De Singe. She wasn't reading Guybrush's future - she was cursing him!
** She also sends him to find [[GratuitousSpanish La Esponja Grande]], which [[spoiler: gave [=LeChuck=] the power and caused Guybrush's death]].
* FridgeLogic: [[spoiler:Guybrush thinks he can’t exit the bar as a ghost because he can’t turn the knob. Why not just walk through it? Perhaps a character-appropriate excuse for an InsurmountableWaistHeightFence.]]
** More importantly (sort of), [[spoiler:Guybrush gets his hand back as a ghost, yet he meets three other ghosts whose critical wounds are still visible]].
