* FridgeBrilliance: Boos with blindfolds.
** Peach is the only one capable of controlling her emotions, hence why she's the heroine.
** Bowser loves Peach, correct? So he wouldn't want her to be destroyed, hence why the game is so much easier: They're going easy on her because Bowser loves her.
** Princess Peach is the most vapid, undeveloped-yet-recognized character in Nintendo's cast. She is not only the DistressedDamsel in almost every game, but she's also the signature NeutralFemale. She's so NeutralFemale that until this point, other than being mindlessly perky, her only other emotion was "Help me I've been kidnapped!". Screw UnfortunateImplications, violent mood swings are CharacterDevelopment for her! The idea of Princess Peach using weaponized PMS is hilarious and fitting, given her character history. It only applies to her, though -- if it were Zelda (Nintendo's other signature DistressedDamsel) it'd be another situation entirely. But for someone as flat and air-headed as Peach, it works.
*** YMMV on that -- Peach's characterization varies from game to game. In the [=RPGs=], including the ''PaperMario'' series, she tends to get characterized as either so pure-hearted it's practically a superpower (for instance, in ''VideoGame/MarioAndLuigiSuperstarSaga'', ''VideoGame/PaperMarioTheThousandYearDoor'', and ''VideoGame/MarioAndLuigiBowsersInsideStory'' -- note that in each of those three games, Peach's pure-heartedness made her essential to the BigBad's plans) and/or strong-willed and perfectly willing to accompany Mario on an adventure if given half a chance (examples including ''VideoGame/SuperMarioRPG'' and ''VideoGame/SuperPaperMario''). Virtually all of the [=RPGs=] depict Peach as being [[TheHighQueen a wise ruler]], and she even tends to [[ContemplateOurNavels wax philosophic]] on occasion (such as at the end of ''[[VideoGame/PaperMario64 Paper Mario]]'' and ''VideoGame/PaperMarioStickerStar''), not to mention that she was the only one who knew what was ''actually'' up with the Cobalt Star in ''VideoGame/MarioAndLuigiPartnersInTime''. It's only in the main platforming series that Peach tends to be TheDitz, and even then, it's not so much that she's TheDitz as she's, well, [[NeutralFemale just the princess who needs to be rescued]].
* FridgeHorror: She's got a carnivorous umbrella and violent mood swings. Imagine the mayhem she could get up to if she was less inherently nice.
** Also of note is that the {{idle animation}} is Perry ''trying to eat her''. Imagine what mayhem Perry could get up to if he was being wielded by, say, Bowser.
