''Mom's Got a Date With a Vampire'' is a 2000 made for TV ''Creator/DisneyChannel'' movie.

The Hansen kids are in a jam. Adam and his best friend have gotten their hands on some tickets for the Headless Horseman concert, and his sister Chelsea has a date with her dreamy boyfriend Peter.

The only problem is they're both grounded. Chelsea and Adam will do whatever it takes to get their mom Lynette out of the house, even if it includes a chance meeting with a very mysterious man. Everything seems to go according to plan until their little brother Taylor realizes that this stranger might be... a vampire.
----
!!The movie exhibits the following tropes:

* AdultsAreUseless: [[spoiler:Subverted with Lynette, who saves everyone. Played straight with Malachi, who can't seem to hunt vampires very well.]]
* AffablyEvil: Dimitri seems like a perfect gentleman and it very nice to Lynnette's children upon meeting them. However, he's a vampire and towards the end, he begins to [[FauxAffablyEvil unravel]] a little.
* AllGirlsWantBadBoys: Subverted with Lynette and [[spoiler:Dimitri, she preferred somebody sophisticated instead. Subverted again with Malachi.]]
* AntiClimax: In the end, [[spoiler: no stake is put through Dimitri's heart (It's a Disney movie, whatcha expect). He's simply trapped inside his own coffin until such time he can be taken to a place with "a lot of sun".]]
* BadassAdorable: In this case, adult Lynnette. A beautiful, sweet, kind-hearted mother, [[spoiler:who can kick some serious vampire ass.]]
* BerserkButton: Going after [[MamaBear Lynette's kids]].
* CharmPerson: [[spoiler:Dimitri Wolfsbane]], a vampire who possesses the more common types of hypnotic powers, and HypnoticEyes of course.
* CobwebOfDisuse: Played with; much of [[spoiler:Dimitri's]] home is in fair condition. Little of it is actually swathed in cobwebs.
* ConspicuousTrenchcoat: Malachi Van Helsing wears one, along with a fancy hat. Which Taylor accidentally sits on at one point.
* DisneyDeath: [[spoiler:Dimitri doesn't actually get killed during the movie, but it's implied to be his eventual fate]].
* FateWorseThanDeath: Dimitri pretty much boasted that [[spoiler:he'd turn the whole family into his vampire slaves just for the fun of it.]]
* FriendlyNeighborhoodVampires: [[SubvertedTrope Subverted]], he lives in the neighborhood, but he's not so friendly.
* HeroicWillpower: [[spoiler: Lynette, at the last minute is able to [[CurbstompBattle curbstomp]] Dimitri before he can hurt her kids.]]
* KidsPlayMatchmaker: The film begins when the elder Hansen kids set up their mom on a date so they can sneak out of the house despite being grounded.
* ManOfWealthAndTaste: Dimitri, understandable considering his {{Dracula}} like style.
* OurVampiresAreDifferent: The writers do stick with traditional vampire ideals, to be fair, but this one isn't as violent or bloodthirsty as other famous vampires.
* WallCrawl: Or Wall Walk in this case as Dimitri does this to get back into a club he was thrown out of.
