''Don't Go Near the Park!'' is a 1979 horror fantasy film directed by Lawrence David Foldes and written by Linwood Chase.

The film follows the story of Bondi, an adolescent American girl who runs away from home and lives with two other runaway children, all sharing an abandoned ranch property with an elderly lady. Unbeknownst to the children, the elderly lady and Bondi's biological father are a brother and sister pair of cannibals who retain youth by eating the internal organs of young people. A local newspaper journalist notices the growing epidemic of illegal [[OrganTheft organs harvested]] and the dead bodies of victims arising, and joins Bondi and her friends to stop the killers.

Considered one of the prominent "Video Nasties" of its era and often referenced in connection with similar "Don't Go In the..." horror film titles such as ''Film/DontGoInTheHouse'', ''Don't Go Near the Park!'' was banned in the United Kingdom upon its original release date for its graphic depictions of gore and violence.

!This film provides examples of:

* AbusiveParents:
** Bondi's mother comes to resent her daughter, often verbally abusing her.
** Nick's mother kicks him out of the family vehicle and abandons him completely.
* ArchnemesisDad: Bondi's father becomes the primary antagonist of the film and is raising his daughter as a human sacrifice. Bondi and her friends [[spoiler:defeat him after he reverts to a supernatural being with lasers shooting out of his eyes.]]
* CoolOldLady: Patty allows the runaway children to live on the abandoned ranch property she has taken over, and she presents herself as kind and caring. Trope subverted when it is revealed that Patty is a [[spoiler:cannibal who disembowels children]].
* DirtyOldMan: Bondi's father appears to be a loving, caring parent for most of her childhood but later plans to [[spoiler:sacrifice her as a virgin by disembowelling her]]. He orders her to remove her clothing, kneel on all fours and "assume [her] natural position".
* EvilMentor: Bondi's father serves as this for Bondi herself, who learns from him a lot about the natural world and picks up some of his views. His teachings lead her to, at the end of the film, attempt to [[spoiler:rip open Nick's stomach and remove his organs]], but he screams and she stops, looking up at the viewer with an ambiguously creepy smile.
* {{Gorn}}: The film features copious scenes of victims having their stomach ripped open; blood and internal organs are seen. The goriest scene features a teenage hippie getting her foot caught in a bear trap; incapacitated, she is pushed to the ground, her blouse is torn open, and a cannibal squeezes her stomach open to expose her liver while she screams in agony.
* GuttedLikeAFish: The film features 3 scenes in total where a person has their stomach ripped open and their internal organs removed. One of the victims is conscious when this occurs, and she screams as her stomach is squeezed and crushed, fainting after Patty tears her stomach open completely.
* ImAHumanitarian: Patty and Mark are both cannibals who survive by eating the organs of their victims.
* MonstrousCannibalism: Patty and Mark are caught eating the innards of children from their own tribe, to the point where their tribal leader curses them as a result. Neither of the antagonistic siblings seem to have any issue with eating other human beings, even Mark's own daughter being up for sacrifice.
* OrganTheft: Patty and Mark are cannibals who retain their youth by murdering young people and feasting on their internal organs.
* TheRunaway: Bondi, Nick and Cowboy are all adolescent children who have run away from home due to abuse and neglect. They reside on an abandoned ranch property.
* SpoiledSweet: Bondi is spoiled by her father and treated like a little princess, but despite her good fortune, she never acts like a brat and never misbehaves.
