The Age of Gargoyles
* Recommended by Tropers/GoblinVenom
* A group of four fanfic authors that used to roleplay on Formspring and then came together to create a new series of canon-compliant fanfiction. They follow the first two seasons of Gargoyles and the SLG comic books (and they've hinted that some of the Radio Plays are canon to an extent) and have tackled Gargoyles, Bad Guys, Pendragon, TimeDancer, Heroes of Ulster, and more. They do a fantastic job of keeping the characters in-character (No Demona In Leather Pants here!), and their love for the series and Weisman's mythology shines through. Very well plotted, and the stories mostly stand on their own while being built upon for a larger continuity. It looks like it will be going great places and I cannot wait to read more of it.

The Gargoyles Saga
* Recommended by Tropers/kchishol
* An organized VirtualSeason fan continuation of the franchise that not only includes the main series, but also delves into the various SpinOff series Greg Weisman wanted to produce as well - though he had NOTHING to do with this Saga. Warning: Demona In Leather Pants is all over this saga.
** That last bit isn't quite true: Demona's past isn't whitewashed over, and she certainly doesn't regret the things she did. The Manhattan Clan takes a very long time to accept that she isn't a threat to them anymore. And it's implied in the last season that she's eventually going back to her old ways.
*** But the whole notion of the Manhattan Clan accepting her shouldn't have happened, because she shouldn't have been neutered in the first place. She was eating Christmas dinner with them less than two months after she almost destroyed all life on Earth.
*** In addition, what people also seem to forget is that Demona was willing to risk the life of her daughter by tossing the deadly vial into the air (Hunter's Moon, Part 3) just to cover up her escape with no way to know that Goliath would catch it. The same daughter would apparently can make Demona forsake her genocidal tendencies. As others have stated, The Sandman from Spider-Man might endanger a share of civilians to put Spider-Man at his mercy, but Demona had no other plan beyond killing every single human on the Earth.

Christine Morgan
* Recommended by Tropers/Jen176
* Voted the Most Influential Person in Gargoyles fanfiction. Well thought out plots, in characterization of canon characters (as well as expanding on them), well rounded original characters, and just plain well written. This troper could list a lot of examples to hold these claims, that they would be giving away a lot of the plots to the fics.

Merlin Missy
* Recommended by Tropers/Gargfan
* Merlin Missy is a brilliant writer and truly brings the characters to life. Be sure to read her seven part saga Consequences starting with Fortune and Men's Eyes. And speaking of sure to read All through the Night. It crosses Gargoyles with several shows, including Series/TheXFiles, WesternAnimation/BatmanTheAnimatedSeries, and Series/1987.

Christi Smith Hayden
* Recommended by Tropers/Kchishol
* A rich series of romantic and action fanfics about the Xanatos' new nanny who has a special secret that gives her a powerful link to the Manhattan Clan. The series was written a decade ago, so some old assumptions like Lex being straight stand.

Vathara
* Original reccomendation unknown, seconded by Tropers/BBRain
* Anything by Vathara, especially the crossover Urban Legends Universe.

Kimberly T
* Recommended by Marcus S Lazarus
* Tragically abandoned now due to various personal reasons, including the project's greater focus on OCs, but she created a fascinating series, exploring such storylines as Goliath and Elisa's wedding, Matt's relationship with the Xanatos' new nanny and her part-Fey daughter, Broadway sustaining a serious injury, the Manhattan Clan meeting the gargoyles of New Orleans... existing characters are well-written, new characters are easy to admire and enjoy, and the overall storylines are excellent.

[[WMG:General Fics]]
Stories focused on the family and the friendly relationships of the cast. Plot-focused stories or light day-in-the-life stories. Pretty much anything that isn't focused on romance.

Hawaiki by Masterdramon
* Recommended by Tropers/Algernon1984
* Status: Ongoing
* Synopsis: The year is 1790, and a TimeDancing Brooklyn and his companions find themselves in Hawai'i, where the expansionist campaign of Kamehameha I threatens to push the local clan into extinction. But their civil war also risks unleashing something far worse - an evil not seen since the darkest days of Mab.

Understanding by Vanillasiren
* Recommended by Tropers/CMRRosa
* Status: Complete
* Synopsis: Set sometime after the Gargoyles and Xanatos make peace. When the Phoenix Gate mysteriously returns to him, Goliath is transported back into the past, and gains some insight into what drives his enemy-turned-ally. One-shot.

When You Hurt by Vanillasiren
* Recommended by Tropers/CMRRosa
* Status: Complete
* Synopsis: Set pre-series. Macbeth and Demona were not always enemies. There was a time when they actually cared for each other. Macbeth/Demona friendship romance, if you squint. One-shot.

In Vino Veritas by Vanillasiren
* Recommended by Tropers/CMRRosa
* Status: Complete
* Synopsis: Set pre-series. Demona/Macbeth friendship with maybe a hint of romance. Vaguely related to my "When You Hurt" story, although it's not necessary to read that one to understand this one. Another, more humorous glimpse into a time when they weren't enemies.

Symphony of Angels by Silver Spider
* Recommended by Tropers/CMRRosa
* Status: Dead
* Synopsis: Demona does not betray Macbeth in 1057 A.D., but things go south anyway. How does this change the journeys of the two immortals through the centuries?

Rhapsody, by Greg Bishansky
* Recommended by DemonaFanX
* Status: Complete
* Synopsis: In the year 2056, the UsefulNotes/UnitedNations debates the fate of the gargoyle species. Meanwhile, Demona reclaims the regenerated Praying Gargoyle. Tonight is the Hunter's Moon, and regardless of the outcome, the clan's lives will be forever changed.
* Comments: Written by an author who, obviously, spent a lot of time studying both the canon and Greg Weisman's plans, Bishansky's story manages to keep everyone in character while taking place decades in the future. You can see this as a natural bridge between Gargoyles and the unmade Gargoyles: 2198 spin-off. Also, Demona manages to be the well rounded villain she is in the series; no DracoInLeatherPants or cackling CardCarryingVillain here.

More Things in Heaven and Earth, by Constance Cochran (crossover with WesternAnimation/TheRealGhostbusters)
* Recommended by Tropers/MarkLungo
* Status: Complete
* Synopsis: The WesternAnimation/Gargoyles meet WesternAnimation/TheRealGhostbusters when both groups are threatened by the spirit of Hakon, the evil Viking.
* Comments: While several fanfics have Crossover crossed over these two particular series, Cochran's story is easily the best of the lot. Everyone's in character, every member of the large cast gets a moment in the limelight, and most of the minor changes Cochran makes to the existing series are actually improvements, particularly making Janine a full-time Ghostbuster. If only all Crossover fics could be this good...

Black Wings Passed Over by WarlordFil
* Recommended by dbz77
* Status: Complete
* Synopsis: Origin story of Richard S. Wagner. An Illuminati assassin comes face-to-face with a horror so overwhelming that it forces him to question everything he believes in. Rated "M" for themes of the Holocaust. Complete.
* Comments: Interesting premise about a gargoyle who was surgically altered to look human.

False Future by The Sylver Lining
* Recommended by cygnavamp
* Status: Complete
* Synopsis: What happens when Lexington overhears a conversation between Goliath and Elisa concerning the events of "Future Tense"?
* Comments: For those who ever wondered how Lex would react to learning about what Goliath saw in the Puck's illusion/prophesy. Hint: not well. Ends with a massive CMOH.

[[WMG:Shipping Shipping Fics]]
Stories focused on the romantic relationships between the cast.

Puck Meets a Girl
* recommended by Kereea
* Status: Complete
* Vanished from the internet. Please post a link if found.
* Synopsis: ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin. A PuckOC romance and so much more
* Pairings: Puck/OC, Xanatos/Fox
* Comments: Really good. The OC isn't a Mary-Sue (at least by the standards of Gargoyles characters) and the characterizations of Owen/Puck are awesome. We get so see how Puck thinks when he's Owen (which he is for ninety percent of the fic), Fox and Xanatos' marriage, and a bunch of fun with King Arthur. While it doesn't end on a cliffhanger, it feels like there should be a sequel (5 years later, there isn't).
