* Recommended by MuchAdoAboutNonny
* ''Comments'': Mainly Merida/Young MacGuffin shipping fics. She knows her characterization, though, and she's probably the only author in the fandom to perfectly execute MacGuffin's [[TheUnintelligible Doric]]. A great read, no matter which fic you're looking at.

* Recommended by MuchAdoAboutNonny and Enjoydamoment
* ''Synopsis'': Young Macintosh/ OFC. Rosalyn Brolchain was raised to be mindful of her temper and reserved with her emotions. Winter winds, ice and snow rise when her temper flairs. Hers is a cold fury. Out of her four sisters Rosalyn is the most in control. Unless Dougal Macintosh is concerned, then she is as raw as the winds she conjures.

* ''Comments'': HOLD THAT THOUGHT! I know what the summary looks like, but this is most certainly NOT an annoying Mary-Sue latching onto the most physically attractive male in the movie. This author has talent; Rosalyn is a wonderfully rounded-out OC, and you really want her and Macintosh to get their happy ending. Aside from the shipping aspects of this fic - well, be warned, it does borrow heavily from Shakespeare's MuchAdoAboutNothing and Austen's PrideAndPrejudice, especially in earlier chapters. You'll either be charmed or annoyed to see some lines copied almost word-for-word. But that's the only bone to pick with this fic, as far as I can see. Also, the later chapters deal with a SERIOUS SPOILER...[[spoiler: potential ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE]]. Hell yeah.
* Seconded hard. The characterization of both the new and old characters is beautiful, and there is a loving attention to setting that really adds to the atmosphere of the fic.

[[http://www.fanfiction.net/s/8281900/1/Brave-Drabbles Brave Drabbles]], by gabthebomb.
* Recommended by Rookiez78
* ''Synopsis'': A series of drabbles/one-shots/vignettes; each chapter stems from a prompt submitted by various people. The name of each chapter is the prompt requested.
[[reviews:Brave Drabbles]]
* ''Comments'': Each short story captures the characters and setting to a T, with a good handful of them focusing on Elinor and Fergus's relationship in particular. While some are just the author's adaptation of certain promotional videos and scenes from the movie, the series' pros far outweigh its cons, and all the stories are nonetheless fun, sweet, and well-written.
