A Series/{{Glee}} AU series written by Bellinaball, set in a world where some children grow wings, and those who do, called angels, are sold as sex slaves.

The series consists of:

''The Weight Of The World'': What happens after Kurt grows wings, his time spent as Blaine's angel, and the way Blaine treats him (hint- it's not well).

''Weightless'': Kurt's life after returning to Lima, and the long journey back to being happy. Also has an epilogue which goes into detail about how the laws eventually changed so angels could be people again, and the Hudmel's running a refuge for them.

''Light On The Shadows Of Your Face'': Set between the main part of Weightless and the epilogue, Finn and Kurt work through their inevitable UnresolvedSexualTension. Even more inevitably, it doesn't work out.

''A Walled Garden'': Set shortly after Light On The Shadows Of Your Face, some people outside the refuge find out that Kurt's an angel and attempt to kidnap him, using his younger sister Grace as a bribe.

''Instinct'': Set shortly after the epilogue of Weightless, the paparazzi have infiltrated the refuge, and people are starting to move back towards viewing angels as obects. Kurt enlists a now-elderly Puck as security, but ends up turning him into a teenager again when he ''vastly'' underestimates his own healing powers.

And several shorter stories/oneshots taking place at various points between Weightless and Instinct.

!!Tropes in this series include:
* AbusiveParents: Jennifer's ''willingly'' sell her as an angel. Given that they must have known what would happen to her...
* AlternateUniverse
** And now we have an AU of the AU featuring angel!Finn.
* AlphaBitch: Quinn; Santana is one with a HiddenHeartOfGold.
* AttemptedRape: In ''Weightless'', some students from [=McKinley=] try this on angel!Kurt.
* BrattyTeenageDaughter: Ann.
* BrokenBird: Basically all the angels at the refuge, including Kurt's LoveInterest, Jae. Also including Finn's eventual-wife Jennifer and, to an extent, Kurt himself.
** BrokenAngel: Quite literally.
* BrutalHonesty: Santana, so much.
* TheDitz: Brittany, Jennifer.
* EvenEvilHasStandards: Even back when Rachel wanted an angel of her own, she said that whilst she ''would'' have sex with it, the idea of [[RapeAsDrama forcing]] it to do so visibly squicked her out.
* FreakinessShame: Finn to Kurt (who starts off hating the things which make him and the other angels different from normal humans), practically verbatim.
* TheFundamentalist: Quinn, which is the reason why she's so anti-angel ("Well, ''God'' clearly didn't make them"). Admittedly, it's mostly driven by her own insecurity rather than genuine belief.
* GenkiGirl: Jennifer
* HealingFactor: All angels, but Kurt makes the best use of it, since he ''knows'' nothing will damage him permanently, from simply threatening to chop off his finger to get Finn to do what he wants to ''actually'' stabbing himself to save Grace in ''A walled garden''.
* HealingHands: Angels, again. Kurt uses his to save Finn at one point, as well as to keep his family (and Puck) young.
* IDidntMeanToTurnYouOn: An angel's wings are an erogenous zone. You do the math.
* ImmortalityHurts: Does it ''ever''.
* ImmortalLifeIsCheap: Angels don't die permanently. This effectively means the owners can do things to them no human could ever survive without having to worry about the consequences.
* InnocentBigot: Brittany refers to Kurt as "it", but she still views him as a person- she was just raised to believe that was how angels should be referred to and doesn't understand that its dehumanizing.
* ItIsDehumanizing: Angels are 'it' for precisely this reason.
* LetsWaitAWhile: Kurt's slightly over the top about not pushing things with Jae. However, this is more than justified since Jae is a former sex slave who still has a ''lot'' of issues to work through and apparently has flashbacks to the way his owners treated him.
* LossOfIdentity: All the angels except Kurt (returned to his family) and Jennifer (who remembers hers ''selling'' her). Most heartbreaking of all, Jae, who remembers his first name but literally ''nothing'' else about his life before being collared.
* MustMakeAmends: Both Rachel and Kurt used to want angels of their own, before...''stuff'' happened. They're also the two who do the most for angel liberation, and both mention that they hate the person they used to be several times.
* NotBloodSiblings: Finn/Kurt. The author makes it clear that this is still not exactly ''okay'', and that it's merely that being at the refuge gives Kurt no real other option, so perspectives tend to slip.
* OriginalCharacter: Jennifer, Jae, Ann and Grace.
* TheQuietOne: Jae.
* RapeAsDrama: In ''The Weight of the World'', Blaine to Kurt.
* RapeAsBackstory: Effectively ''every'' angel; Kurt, Jennifer, Jae, Lolita, and literally hundreds of others at the refuge.
* SexSlave: Angels.
* StepfordSmiler: Jennifer, though she appears to become more ''genuinely'' happy as the story goes on.
* WellIntentionedExtremist: Some of Tina's earlier actions are borderline this, since she tries so hard to get Kurt to be some kind of angel spokesperson that she doesn't realize he's not ready to talk and that doing so would just traumatize him more.
* WingedHumanoid: Angels.
