''[[http://www.frodis.net/nyazian/index.html The Nyazian Prophecies]]'' is a virtual series spinoff of ''Series/BuffyTheVampireSlayer'' and ''Series/{{Angel}}'' written by Emcee. The series takes place after ''Angel'' and follows Connor as he becomes a Slayer (of sorts) with the help of his Watcher, Andrew.

The series consists of two seasons and a crossover movie. A movie trilogy was planned for the series' conclusion, but ScheduleSlip set in. Emcee eventually posted a [[http://www.frodis.net/nyazian/wrapup.html summary of how the series was supposed to end]] in order to wrap things up.

----
!!Provides examples of:

* AlternateUniverseFic: Became one retroactively with the release of the official ''Buffy'' and ''Angel'' continuation comics.
* ArcWelding: The Glory arc of Buffy is connected to Connor's trip to Quortoth, which forms much of the second season.
* TheArtOfBraRemoval: It is lucky Connor struggles, as it turns out Angel and Spike have just walked in.
* AscendedExtra: Sophie and Mistress Meerna-- oneshot characters on ''Buffy'' and ''Angel'' respectively--are reoccurring characters here.
* BackForTheDead: [[spoiler:Rona the Vampire Slayer]] in "The Vampire Slayer" and [[spoiler:Harmony]] in ''Battle of the Champions''.
* BackFromTheDead: [[spoiler:Glory]] is resurrected to fight her sister.
* BattleCouple: Connor and Salome.
* CharacterBlog: [[http://con-demned.livejournal.com/ Connor's LiveJournal]].
* {{Continuation}}
* ClosetKey: Matty Moon finally takes care of Andrew's TransparentCloset.
* {{Crossover}}: ''Battle of the Champions'' is a crossover with ''Buffy'' and ''Angel''.
* TheCameo: Aside from ''Battle of the Champions'', Buffy only appears briefly as the Spirit of the Slayer during Mandy's spirit quest.
* CasualKink: It's suggested that Connor and Salome have chained each other up.
* CombatByChampion: Rather than fighting the Knights of Byzantium as Buffy did, Connor challenges their leader to combat and in winning takes control of their number.
* ContinuityNod: Lots to the past of ''Buffy'' and ''Angel''.
** Connor is a big fan of [[Recap/BuffyTheVampireSlayerS6E12DoublemeatPalace Doublemeat Medleys]].
** Lorne uses the same cloaking spell Lindsay did in ''Angel'' season five.
** After the Hellmouth is created, [[Recap/BuffyTheVampireSlayerS4E11Doomed Vahrall Demons]] and [[Recap/BuffyTheVampireSlayerS3E13TheZeppo The Sisterhood of Jhe]] appear in town.
** [[Recap/BuffyTheVampireSlayerS4E22Restless The Cheese Man]] appears during Wesley's nightmare.
** Salome and Chico used to be [[Recap/AngelS04E15Orpheus Orpheus dealers]].
** Andrew enjoys drawing on [[Recap/BuffyTheVampireSlayerS7E16Storyteller white boards]].
* ContinuityPorn: ''Battle of the Champions'' is pretty well made of this, featuring every single still-living regular character and reoccurring ones like Lilah, Eve, Groosalugg and Kennedy. Several fights are revisited (Connor vs the Beast, Faith vs Caleb) and several plot threads such as Connor's identity as Angel's son and the Angel-Buffy-Spike love triangle are revisited.
* CoolSword: The Nyazian Fang is a jeweled long sword literally forged out of the tooth of an Old One (Illyria) in the fires of the Hellmouth.
* CunningLinguist: Andrew and Oni, mostly with demon languages.
* DeadGuyJunior: Connor's full name is revealed to be Connor Francis Angel, after Alan Francis Doyle, Angel's original [[TheLancer lancer]].
* DeathBySex: Unsurprising, considering it's a Buffy spinoff. Every time one of the main characters sleeps with their love interest for the first time, something horrible happens to one of them. There is some LampshadeHanging with Andrew and Oni believing it is a literal curse.
* DenouementEpisode: After defeating Cyvus Vail in the previous episode, "Coda" introduces the Slayer's Council properly and deals with Connor's relationship with Angel.
* DestroyTheEvidence: The good guys destroy evidence that was manufactured to implicate Connor in holding people hostage in a sporting good's store. Only, the evidence was manufactured to [[Recap/AngelS04E22Home replace evidence previously destroyed]].
* DeusExMachina: Connor is trapped in Quortoth and the fissures have been closed without possibility of being reopened. But the Gatekeeper, who can manipulate time and space, has [[KidFromTheFuture personal interest]] in getting him back to Earth.
* DiedInYourArmsTonight: [[spoiler:Crawford]] expires in Oni's arms.
* DuelingShows: With ''The Destroyer'', another Connor-based virtual series. The rivalry was friendly, with Emcee and Masquerade both avoiding elements the other had used out of respect.
* DVDCommentary: After the seasons were done "airing," they were released in a virtual DVD set, including several episodes with DVD commentary-style running notes in the margins.
* FakeGuestStar: Oni, for most of the first season. (She's added to the opening credits in the second.)
** [[spoiler:Wesley]] could also count, appearing in 18 out of 22 episodes in the first season.
* FirstEpisodeSpoiler: [[spoiler:Wesley]] is alive.
* FiveManBand:
** TheHero: Connor
** TheLancer: Andrew
** TheBigGuy: Salome (also the TokenNonhuman)
** TheSmartGuy: Jamie
** TheChick: First Jules, then Oni
** TheSixthRanger: [[spoiler:Wesley]] in season one, Mandy in season two
* FlirtingUnderFire: Connor and Salome pretty constantly, due to [[InterplayOfSexAndViolence both of them being turned on by battle]].
* ForWantOfANail: A teleportation accident has Salome end up in a parallel reality where she died in the Nyazian Massacre. Andrew is dead, Jamie left after Jules was killed, Wesley is still possessed by Cyvus Vail, Oni is working for the bad guys and Connor has returned to his nihilistic personality.
* FreakyFridayFlip: Connor and Andrew suffer through this in "Substitute".
* GlamourFailure: Salome in the first episode when Connor accidentally breaks her glamour bracelet, revealing that she is a purple-skinned demon.
* HalfHumanHybrid: Lee Talbot, the son of Clem the Loose-Skinned Demon and Sophie. Mara Angel is a partial example, being half-{{Dhampyr}}, half-Nyazian.
* HellOnEarth: Illyria gives Connor a glimpse of what life on Earth was like during the time of the Old Ones and what it will be like again if the fissures to Quortoth aren't closed. It's the worst thing Connor has ever seen, which is saying a lot considering his childhood.
* HistoryRepeats: Lorne opens Caritas again in Palo Alto. It goes over just as well as it did in Los Angeles.
* HopelessSuitor: Jules has a crush on Connor, but he sees them as LikeBrotherAndSister. Thing unfortunately [[SacrificialLamb get worse for her]].
* HypotheticalCasting: For everyone, including guest stars. The main cast includes Creator/AnnaPaquin as Salome, [[Series/{{Reaper}} Bret Harrison]] as Jamie, and Kou Shibasaki as Oni.
* IFightForTheStrongestSide: The Knights of Byzantium plan to kill Connor and his friends for harboring the hellgod Grace until Connor beats their leader in sanctified combat.
* IJustWantToBeBadass: Andrew suffers from this. He gets over it when he switches bodies with Connor.
* IKnewIt: While most of the series has been {{Jossed}}, several elements of the Quortoth arc such as a cult worshiping the Destroyer and Quortoth having a demonic personification have turned up in the Season Nine comics.
* IKnowYoureInThereSomewhereFight: When Connor gets mystical amnesia and becomes the Destroyer again, he and Salome have a couple of these.
* InterspeciesRomance: Connor and Salome.
* JourneyToTheCenterOfTheMind: Connor goes into Wesley's mind when he's trapped by nightmares due to guilt (and his mind being played with after possession by Cyvus Vail).
* KidFromTheFuture: Mara the Gatekeeper was hinted as one for Connor and Salome. Confirmed through WordofGod.
* KillTheCutie: Poor [[spoiler:Jules]].
* KillTheOnesYouLove: James has to sacrifice [[spoiler:either Jamie or Jules. Wesley makes him choose Jules because he loves her more]] and that makes it a "sacrifice".
* LearntEnglishFromWatchingTelevision: Oni, a human raised by demons.
* LotusEaterMachine: Connor, Andrew, Oni and Jamie are trapped in one by Cyvus Vail.
* MindlinkMates: Connor and Salome. He even houses her soul temporarily.
* MuggleFosterParents: The Rileys for Connor.
* NamedWeapons: The Nyazian Fang, the Pure Scythe and the Aeon Glaive.
* NeckSnap: Salome delivers one to Jasmine (who is in the body of child of the Senior Partners Faye). It's implied she drew on Illyria's power and was also influenced by the demonic energy of Quortoth.
* NeverTheSelvesShallMeet: Connor in "Tempus Fugit".
* NerdsAreVirgins: Played with. Both Jamie and Andrew lose their respective virginities during the course of the series, but it's suggested they were virgins longer than usual due to this trope.
* NoHoldsBarredBeatdown: Salome gets these a couple of times, bordering on TheWorfEffect. First from an amnesiac Connor, then from Magnimus and Illyria. The first two are so severe, the injuries remain into the next episode. At least she is able to deliver one to Jasmine.
* NonActionGuy: Andrew, Jamie and Oni generally. They can fight when it comes down to it, but they're much better with books.
* NotADate: Andrew and Matty until Andrew admits he's attracted to men.
* NotNamedInOpeningCredits: [[spoiler:Alexis Denisof]] in the first episode.
* OneWayTrip: The fissures to Quortoth have to be closed from the other side and Connor knows it.
* ParentsWalkInAtTheWorstTime: Type 1. Andrew points out to Connor that [[Recap/AngelS04E07ApocalypseNowish it's not nearly as bad as the last time]].
* PhysicalGod: Besides the ones that carried over from the parent shows, Magnimus and Grace.
* RecursiveFanfiction: The series has a few fanfics on its [[http://nyazian.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=fanfic official forum]], some written by the series writer.
* ReforgedBlade: The Nyazian Fang, using Illyria's own blood.
* RescuedFromTheScrappyHeap:[[invoked]] The author's intention, according to the first episode's commentary, in bringing Andrew on as a main character.
* ShoutOut: Many to other works, especially with geeks like Connor, Andrew and Jamie in the cast.
** With the exception of her current one, Salome's aliases all come from people who travel in time/space: [[Comicbook/{{X-Men}} Wagner]], [[Series/QuantumLeap Beckett]] and [[Series/{{Sliders}} Mallory]].
** Connor fights a pair of vampires named [[Series/WhoseLineIsItAnyway Phil and Gary]].
** Crawford Lee, who is an actor hiding in a theater and obsessed with an actresses is named after [[ThePhantomOfTheOpera Michael Crawford]].
** "Tempus Fugit" is a pretty obvious send-up to [[Film/BackToTheFuture Back to the Future II]]. It's pointed out by Connor.
** The Gatekeeper is a bit of an homage to [[Franchise/SailorMoon Sailor Pluto]].
* SneezeOfDoom: After receiving a power-up from Cyvus Vail, Salome teleports whenever she sneezes and... Uh... [[TheImmodestOrgasm Other body convulsions]].
* StableTimeLoop: Salome tells Connor and Jamie about the Cronos Crystal, which she only knows because they tell her past self about it.
* TheTeamBenefactor: Connor, Mandy, Andrew and Oni are all paid by the Slayer's Council.
* TimePolice: The Gatekeeper. The punishment for breaking the laws of time is having your essence spread across time and space.
* TimeTravelEpisode: "Tempus Fugit", which has Connor and Jamie end up in the Angel episode [[Recap/AngelS04E19TheMagicBullet "The Magic Bullet"]].
* UnresolvedSexualTension: Wesley and Oni through the first season. He's too wracked with guilt (and she struggles with being attracted to demons). [[spoiler:TheyDo briefly, but since Oni is still mourning Crawford it doesn't last.]]
* WellDoneSonGuy: Connor is desperate for Angel's approval, to make up for everything he'd done before.
* WhatCouldHaveBeen: The movies of course, which feature Darla come back and being re-ensouled, Salome revealed as being bred to host Illyria and a child Vampire Slayer used by a cult in attempt to assassinate corrupted Champions like Connor, Willow, Faith, etc. The writer revealed that the movies had been meant to replace three other seasons which would have had generally the same plots, but with some additions.
** Connor wouldn't have returned from Quortoth at the end of Season Two and would be rescued at the beginning of Season Three.
** Dawn would have become a regular cast member.
** Oni would've met her biological sister, a demon hunter.
** An episode would have focused on landlady Magdalen and her half-demon children.
** The Gatekeeper's identity would have been revealed in an episode that had flashforwards to 25 years in the future (revealing that Connor doesn't age normally).
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: Due to the series being prematurely ended, several elements were not followed up on, such as Salome's power boosts (as explained above, she was supposed to have been Illyria's true host), Conor's adoptive family retaining their false memories and Warren being rebuilt by Wolfram and Hart.
* WreckedWeapon: When Salome attacks Magnimus with the Nyazian Fang-- a mystical sword forged from Illyria's original body-- it not only doesn't hurt her, it shatters on impact.
* YouGottaHaveBlueHair: As well as purple and green hair, for members of the Nyazian species.
* YourSoulIsMine: The Quortothian Devora Demon eats souls. Unfortunately, Angel is in town.
