The fanfic is in the words of the author [[WordOfGod an alternate retelling of the the events from the games]], with the author drawing inspiration from the films, the Wildstorm comics and the novels by S.D. Perry.

As expected, Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine as the main couple of the series. The fanfic covers the events from Raccoon City to Kijuju, with the aforementioned twist, as certain events in the series play out differently than it does in canon. The story is currently ongoing, as it is in the the War Against Umbrella arc.

Jill's mother had given her the serum in desperation, which not only boosted her immune system, but bonded to her DNA, making her stronger and agile.]]

** Chris using the line "Don't you trust your partner" is the same line Jill uses on him in VideoGame/ResidentEvil5.
** Chris using the Rolling Sobat and Jill using the Death Tower slam are from StreetFighter
** Rebecca spraying Chris in the face with bug spray is referenced from the S.P. Perry novel The Umbrella Conspiracy. Caliban Cove is also referenced in the fanfic as well. The name Stacey Kelso (who is Chris' second ex-girlfriend in the story) is from City of the Dead.
* ShownTheirWork: The author researching the viruses used in the series, as it is shown in the meeting of the Umbrella executives in how the T-virus works. The nuclear destruction of Raccoon City also falls under this trope, as the author researched how a nuclear detonation actually worked.
