SOS Unlimited is a MegaCrossover written by {{Tropers/Edrobot}}, created with the intention of doing for anime and video games what WesternAnimation/JusticeLeague did for superheros.

!! Tropes that this work will have include:
* AlternateContinuity: One of the biggest changes is that the characters from Manga/FullmetalAlchemist exists in the modern day, and the main characters are members of the [[VisualNovel/FateStayNight Mages Association]]. Also, [[spoiler:Mikuru Ashihina [[RetGone does not exist anymore]], the original SOS Brigade split up after just one year, everyone survived [[VisualNovel/FateStayNight The Holy Grail War]] despite events from all three routes happening, [[Anime/ParanoiaAgent Shonen Bat does not end up destroying the city]], Alternia did not create Earth, [[Webcomic/{{Homestuck}} the Ancestors are only a single generation apart from the Main Twelve]], [[Franchise/CodeGeass Charles Zi Brittania]] is a powerful buisnessman instead of king.]]
* BadassNormal: Radar Man, Jerimiah and Kyon
* BigBad: The Imperial Condesce
* BigGood: Kyon
** [[spoiler: In the future, [[VisualNovel/FateStayNight Gilgamesh]] had a HeelFaceTurn, succeeded Kyon, and genuinely became this.]]
* BigScrewedUpFamily: Father refers to himself as the Elric Brothers' "Uncle", which by extension would make the other Homunculi their cousins [[spoiler: except for Envy who (as in the anime) was created by Dante from their half-brother.]] To make matters worse, [[spoiler: the Einzbern are also related to them, as they're descended from Hohenhime.]]
* BroughtDownToBadass: Even after losing his noble phantasms, [[VisualNovel/FateStayNight Gilgamesh]] is still a force to be reckoned with.
** [[spoiler: Human!Saber is no slouch either.]]
* [[CastHerd Cast Herds]]:
** Kotesu, Barnaby, Shulk, Harry, and Kyon are the main FiveManBand, with either Zero, Naoto or [[spoiler:Shirley]] acting as either the SixthRanger or MissionControl depending on the situation.
** Naoto and Harry team up on occasion, usually with help from someone else like Radar Man or the Dohvakin.
** [[spoiler:Shirley]], [[spoiler:Milly]], and Leouch are all members of The Ashford Academy Student Counsel, and Shulk becomes a teaching assistant to keep an eye on [[spoiler:Shirley]].
* ChangelingTale
* ClothesMakeTheSuperman / PosessionImpliesMastery: [[spoiler:This turns out to be Milly's power; she can have any ability or power she can convince someone else she has. The easiest way to do this is to either wear the costume of a well known hero (fictional or othewise), or brandish a weapon like she knows what she's doing.]]
* ContagiousPowers: [[spoiler: By the time the Equestria arc rolls around, Rivlz and Nina are the only members of the Ashford Student Council without powers of some sort.]]
* Crazy Awesome: Radar Man.
* DidYouJustScamCthulhu?: [[spoiler: Milly manages to convince her biological father to let her remain half-fey by convincing him that, since she was conceived, born and raised in the human world she's therefore exempt from farie law, and that according to U.S. law her father owes her decades of childcare money for abandoning her (human) mother.]]
** AchievementsInIgnorance: [[spoiler: Dresden says that shouldn't have actually worked. He theorizes that her father was so amused by this that he's letting her keep her powers [[ItAmusedMe just to see what she'll do with them.]]]]
* EasilyForgiven: [[spoiler:Averted. It took 20 years on the SOS brigade and saving the world many times to convince Saber and Shirou that Gilgamesh really had made a HeelFaceTurn.]]
* EldritchAbomination: Subverted. Even lovecraftian horrors have human-like thought processies and motives, [[HumansAreBastards (not that this makes them any better, mind you)]].
** Literature/HaruhiSuzumiya: Come on, you know this one already.
** [[spoiler: Shonen Bat is just a physical manifestation of a rumor started by a young woman trying to run away from her problems.]]
** [[spoiler: Zanza and Discord are both very personable, and just want to mess around with the world for their amusement.]]
* EnemyCivilWar / EvilVersusEvil: At first, the villains put up a united front against the heroes, but it soon becomes clear that they all want something completely different.
** Gilgamesh and the Imperial Condense both want Earth for themselves.
** Engel [[spoiler: wants to remove Prana from the world, so that Zanza will be powerless when he finally awakens.]]
** [[spoiler:The Broken God wants to introduce a third Counter Force to the world, in order to allow machines to have souls.]]
** Father [[spoiler:wants to open the Gate of Truth.]]
** [[spoiler:Caius Ballad wants to shatter the timeline, so he can rebuild his own universe.]]
* EyepatchOfPower: Haruhi makes Kyon wear one of these. [[spoiler:Future!Gilgamesh is wearing one too, though he actually lost an eye.]]
* FreudianTrio: Ilya is the superego, Kaede Kaburagi is the Ego, and [[OriginalCharacter Hope]] is the Id.
* AgentScully, AgentMulder: Subverted. Neither Naoto nor Harry are willing to dismiss the mundane or supernatural explinations for [[Anime/ParanoiaAgent Shonen Bat]] outright, though Naoto has more insight into the mundane one while Harry knows more about the supernatural.
* MoralityKitchenSink: Even on the same team, morality is all over the place.
** For the good guys, the spectrum ranges from the selfless heroes (Kotesu, [[spoiler:Kankri]]) to cynical anti-heroes (Kyon) and anti-villains (Zero) more worried about their own hides,, to guys that are just plain crazy (Radar Man). [[spoiler:Shirou embodies the full spectrum of this, given how the Holy Grail War turned out.]]
** For the bad guys, the Alternian Empire is a faction of [[LawfulEvil Lawful]] [[EvilOverlord Evil Overlords]], Gilgamesh is driven by [[ItsAllAboutMe ego and revenge]] (though world conquest is on his agenda), Egil, Caius Ballad, and [[spoiler:The Broken God]] are all [[WellIntentionedExtremist Well Intentioned Extremists]] with mutually exclusive goals, Electra is an IneffectualSympatheticVillain ParodySue with daddy issues, [[spoiler:Celesto]] was once a WellIntentionedExtremist but went off the deep end a long time ago, and [[spoiler:Discord]] is just in it ForTheEvulz.
* PolitenessJudo: Radar Man uses an ordinary camera as a "Mind Control Device" by taking advantage of people's tendency to pose for the camera. Even though [[spoiler:Shonen Bat]] doesn't fall for it, it makes him pause long enough for Harry to hit him with his blasting rod.
* RedHerring: [[spoiler:Suzaku first shows up in the same chapter Shirley gains her superpowers.]]
* ReincarnationRomance: [[spoiler:Lighting is implied to be Mikuru's soul, reincarnated after being [[RetGone erased from history]]. Needless to say, Kyon is surprised at how different she is from the Mikuru he remembers.]]
* GravityMaster: [[spoiler:Somehow, being turned into a robot gave Shirley this power.]]
* SeriesGoal: "Find the Philosophers Stone" is still this for the Elric Bros., "Avenge my Parents' murder" is still this for Barnaby. But as the story progresses, Illya, Hope and Kaedae find their own goal; [[spoiler:create a new body for Illya, so she won't have to die so soon.]]
* SuperHeroPackingHeat: All of the {{Badass Normal}}s carry at least a sidearm of some sort, as do Zero, Naoto, and Harry. On the villain side [[Webcomic/{{Homestuck}} Orphaner Dualscar]] carries a [[{{BFG}} huge plasma rifle]], and [[VideoGame/{{Persona 4}} Adachi]] uses a pistol as well. Electra takes this up to 11 by using ''magic'' guns, [[ThrowAwayGuns which keep breaking because her powers aren't supposed to be used that way.]]
* MutuallyExclusiveMagic: While they share some common elements, [[VisualNovel/FateStayNight Magecraft]] and [[Literature/TheDresdenFiles Wizardry]] cannot be performed by the same person, since for some reason one cannot have both magic circuits (needed to perform magecraft) and whatever magical affinity is required to make someone a Wizard.
* MyGreatestFailure:[[spoiler:Kyon fears that the world is currently the way it is because he failed to keep Haruhi from rewriting it. The only proof he has is that he remembers the name "Mikuru Asahina", [[RetGone someone who he thinks was erased from the timeline when the world was rewritten]].]]
* NoodleIncident: How Shulk and Shirou first met. Apparently it involved a vampire, fifty metric tons of depleted uranium, and [[Manga/SgtFrog space frogs]].
* OurHomunculiAreDifferent: Come in three varieties.
** The ones Father created from his own flesh; [[spoiler:Gluttony, Lust, Greed, Wrath, Pride, and the original Sloth.]]
** The ones created through failed(?) attempts at Human Transmutation; [[spoiler: Envy, the current Sloth, and Hope, though Hope is a special case.]]
** The ones the Einzberns create by using Magecraft on human genetic material. [[spoiler: Illya.]]
* UnwillingRoboticisation: [[spoiler: Shirley's Backstory]]
* TheUnmasquedWorld: Between the [[VisualNovel/FateStayNight Fifth Holy Grail War]], FirstContact, and all the NEXTs popping up everywhere, the White Counsel, the Mages Association, and the Website/SCPFoundation collectively threw up their hands and admitted that yes, magic does exsist.
** Oddly enough, this doesn't really change Harry's life all that much. After all, just beacuse people now know that wizards exist doesn't make them automaticlly belive that he's one.
* TheChosenOne: [[spoiler: Shirley is apparently the messiah chosen by [[Website/SCPFoundation The Broken God]]. [[AntiAntiChrist Not that she wants to be...]] ]]
* WhiteAndGreyMorality / GoodVersusGood: The SOS Brigade and the Website/SCPFoundation both want to protect the world, but while the brigade actively encourages metahumans to join, the SCP Foundation would rather have all NEXTs and magic users locked up (even though that would be infesable). Worse, [[spoiler:Shirley got her powers after being infected with a special strain of SCP-217, so the Foundation considers her being in the Brigade a threat to security.]]
