Organization One is a collaborative work of fiction written over the span of two years by three different authors. After sucking Earth dry of its resources, and thus its usefulness, humans migrated to a distant planet and promptly began to take it over as they saw fit, completely ignoring the presence of its long-term inhabitants, the graceful, magically inclined Trillians and the war mongering, winged Vassini. Eventually, the Vassini, after having had quite enough of being enslaved by the new arrivals, decided to wipe them out for good, starting a war between them. Of course, beyond their rather impressive ability to destroy themselves, the humans had no powers to use to defend themselves, and thus they were quickly eradicated. The trillian's, however, weren't quite as eager to push the race to the brink of extinction, and a special unit of law enforcement was created specifically to track down and protect the few remaining humans. This unit is known as Organization One. Of course, even they aren't without corruption, and so, the war for the planet begins.

See the [[Characters/OrganizationOne character page]] for more personalities than you can shake a stick at.

* AcePilot: Kaliya is one of the Steamroller variety.
* ActionPrologue
* AgonyBeam: Several of the different Trillian powers allow for something like this. Specifically those who control electricity and time. [[spoiler:And then there's Salus, who eventually controls every one of the different kinds of essence which, when combined, apparently create one hell of an agony beam.]]
* AIIsACrapshoot: The power cores that Vain invented were meant to run the robotic bodies and nothing more. However, the technology evolved on its own beyond a state which even Vain could control and ended up providing every robot they were installed to sentient thoughts, leading them to become, more or less, free-thinking beings.
* AirVentPassageway: Ryder, Rivka, Jami and Rourke attempt to use this to escape, but the four of them are too heavy and they fall through to the ground, exposing themselves to the Pen Lords.
* Alchemy: Was once used by almost everyone for almost everything, back before the Trillian's became aware of their ability to use and control essence.
* AmplifierArtifact: [[spoiler:The crystal concealed within Syria's mech arm that is the key to unlocking the goddess and storing her powers.]]
* BadassDriver: Slade can do almost anything with a car, up to and including using its rear bumper as a precision strike weapon.
* BioAugmentation: Syria lost her arm during a botched mission when she was a rookie in the Organization. Later, Vain built her a mech arm, which allowed her to ascend to a whole new level of badass.
* BloodMagic: A very, very bad kind of magic that can be used to murder someone half-way around the world from where you stand, summon gods and demons and, essentially, end the world. Anyone who uses blood magic, however, instantly enters into a pact with a demon and must forfit their soul on demand.
* ChaseScene
* ComeWithMeIfYouWantToLive: Slade more or less says this straight up to Heather, who is being more than a little reluctant to cooperate as he attempts to save her.
* CommLinks: Somewhat averted. The characters use cellular telephones to interact with one another, though it doesn't seem to matter where they are in the world, those cell phones will work, unless, of course, the plot requires them not to.
* ConflictingLoyalty: Remy, who has no idea who's side she even ''wants'' to be on. To be fair, she isn't exactly well-informed when she initially makes the choice to switch sides, and when she learns the AwfulTruth, she quickly reforms and begs for forgiveness from the good guys.
* CoolAirship
* TheDarkSide: Essence is controlled by both Gods and Demons. If someone channels essence through a Demon, usually due to being greedy, they are guaranteed to end up corrupted.
* DoAnythingRobot: Vain's cyborgs were initially meant to be this, but they were given too many human qualities, and became entirely sentient to the point of being recognized as a race with equal rights to all others.
* ElementalPowers
* ElementalPunch: One of Syria's signature CurbStomp attacks. She is only able to pull it off because of her half-vassini style strength and the fact that she's got a super-charged mech arm where her real, fleshy arm used to be.
* FasterThanLightTravel: When Vain attempts to teleport after being explicitly warned not to by Salus, he ends up arriving in the place he had intended to, only one-hundred plus years in the past. It turns out this happened because [[spoiler:Salus had wanted Vain to stay where he could keep an eye on him, thus he demanded he didn't use his shadow magic to teleport. When Vain ignored him, Salus - having no real plan to actually punish Vain if he did teleport - had to improvise, so he used his insanely souped up shadow essence to send Vain teleporting through space at a speed far, far faster than light, thus causing him to time travel. Ironically, it worked out worse for Salus in the end because of this.]]
* FamilyRelationshipSwitcheroo: Done in a very strange way. [[spoiler:Heather didn't give birth to Cai, but because the goddess needed Cai to have a set of genes that were practically indistinguishable to those of an actual person, she forced Cai on Heather, causing the little girl to bond with her ''genetically''. Thus, Heather finds out she is, for all intents and purposes, Cai's mother, then avoids telling Cai because she is under the impression that the girl is going to die anyway, and doesn't need to be given another reason to be sad.]]
* GrapplingHookPistol: Remy uses one of these near the beginning to scale the walls of the business tower.
* GreatBigBookOfEverything: Tank and Slade both have fairly vast collections of these kinds of books, which can be accessed by almost anyone in an emergency.Justified in that Trillian's are incredibly wise people who know there is nothing more valuable than recording information and data. Thus, anyone who has ever experienced anything even remotely strange will have written it down and ensured it was stored safely and published for everyone else to read about.
* HardLight: Light magic works this way, though it is an extremely rare type of essence and more often comes in the form of healing powers.
* HealingPotion: Used incredibly sparingly. Remy happens to produce one when Stella is badly wounded, but the only reason Remy had one on her was because [[spoiler:she was actually from the past, and back then, light magic hadn't evolved to include healing spells, meaning they had a much more pressing need for alchemists.]]
* PlayfulHacker: Cai and Heather are both playful hackers who would rather hack into computer systems and terminals for fun than have to actually have a reason to do it.
* PlayingWithFire: Stella has a terribly bad habit of playing with her magic to the point where it's almost a compulsion.
** It's so much so a compulsion, in fact, that when, [[spoiler:the Gods are banished to the underworld and the Trillians lose their powers for good]] she has Cai create a special bracelet for her so she can continue to play with fire.
** Ryder mentions, quite dissapointingly, to Rivka that he was hoping his essence would be fire like his mother's and father's was. Knowing Ryder, he was likely more excited about playing with the fire than actually using it to defend himself.
* TimeTravel: Vain manages this by accident after [[spoiler:being sent through space FasterThanLightSpeed by Salus.]]
* UtilityBelt: As a normal human with no exceptional strength or magic powers, Remy makes very, very good use of her utility belt.
