Zachary John Quinto (b. 1977) is an American actor. He began acting in small roles in his native Pittsburgh as a child, and claims to have known since a very young age that acting was his calling. He is famous for having BigOlEyebrows, [[{{Series/Heroes}} cutting open people's heads]], and [[Film/StarTrek having pointy ears]].

* RealLife/MeanCharacterNiceActor: Is quite laid back and sweet in RealLife, but once he gets into character, prepare to be terrified.
** StephenTobolowsky talks about working on ''Series/{{Heroes}}'' during one of his podcasts, and despite only sharing a single deleted scene, describes him as 'the sweetest guy' in admiring tones. Take note, this was a scene in which Zach's character killed Stephen's, and Zach apologized numerous times. Stephen only mentions KristenBell as being just as nice.
* MrFanservice: As Sylar's popularity increased, the writers wrote in more thinly veiled {{Fanservice}} moments into his scenes. There is a reason he and Milo Ventimiglia, who plays Peter, have the most {{shirtless scene}}s in the show.
** His recurring role on ''Series/AmericanHorrorStory'' plays up this angle as well.
* PromotedFanboy: An avowed drama geek from the Carnegie Mellon School of Drama, he was extremely pleased to be cast as Louis in a production of ''AngelsInAmerica'' as he was a fan of the material.
** Played with in that it wasn't until he was cast as the reboot Spock that he became a fan of Star Trek.
* SesquipedalianLoquaciousness: Tends to speak in an articulate manner, although tends to lapse into BuffySpeak or SophisticatedAsHell in more casual settings.
** He plays this up to its full hilt on the press tours for ''Film/StarTrek'' and ''Film/StarTrekIntoDarkness''. In order to entertain themselves and alleviate the boredom of press junkets, he and ChrisPine engaged in a game of cramming in as many vocabulary words as they can into their answers, regardless of the context.
