Shiny Entertainment was a {{Video Game|s}} company founded by David Perry, formerly of Virgin Interactive (who made [[VideoGame/AladdinVirginGames the Sega Genesis / Mega Drive Aladdin game]]), in 1993. Their most well-known game is ''VideoGame/EarthwormJim''. They were first purchased by Creator/InterplayEntertainment, then, in 2002, they were bought by Infogrames (later renamed Creator/{{Atari}} after Infogrames acquired the Atari brand), and they and they continued until 2007, when they were bought by Foundation 9 and merged with a company called The Collective to form Double Helix Games. No word yet as local billionaire Lynn Tilton is going to buy the iconic video game developer from Foundation 9 (after it spun off from Double Helix Games).
