* AwardCategoryFraud: She won a Best Supporting Actress BAFTA for ''Film/DesperatelySeekingSusan'' despite being the movie's ''star''.
* FamilyBusiness: Her father, mother ''and'' grandfather Clifford (aka [[Series/TheHollywoodSquares Charley Weaver]]) were actors. Rosanna also has two brothers and two sisters (used to be three brothers and one sister) in show business.
* FanDisservice:
** In ''Literature/{{Crash}}'', the protagonist sexually penetrates a large scar on Arquette's character's thigh. Consensually.
** In ''Film/EightMillionWaysToDie'' her character vomits on Creator/JeffBridges' crotch.

* GirlOnGirlIsHot: See ''Literature/{{Crash}}'', ''Series/TheLWord'' and ''Series/Dirt2007''.
* OldShame: Two of them.
** She doesn't like ''Film/TheBigBlue'' much. At all.
** She also isn't fond of ''Film/NowhereToRun'', or its star Creator/JeanClaudeVanDamme – of whom she once said "Acting is not his forte. Neither is being humble."
* OneWomanSong:
** Music/PeterGabriel's "In Your Eyes" was inspired by her (she was dating him at the time).
** It's commonly assumed that "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SGtVZgCYVgk Rosanna]]" by Music/{{Toto}} was written for her, because she was dating keyboardist Steve Porcaro at the time. Both his bandmate David Paich (who [[WordOfGod wrote the song]]) and Arquette herself have denied this, however.
* RomanceOnTheSet: While filming ''The Big Blue'' she had an affair with the film's star Jean-Marc Barr. It didn't end well. It also ended her first marriage (to Music/JamesNewtonHoward).
* WhatCouldHaveBeen: She was under consideration for the role of Elvira Hancock in ''Film/{{Scarface|1983}}'', however, she didn't get the part. The role would [[StarMakingRole make a star]] of Creator/MichellePfeiffer.
