Michelle Suzanne Ruff (born September 22, 1967) is an American voice actress most famous for being Rukia Kuchiki.

Although she has also gained plenty of recognition as Luna, Miki Koishikawa, Yuki Nagato, Yoko Littner, Euphemia Li Britannia, Tsukasa Hiiragi, Crimson Viper, Etna, Yukari Takeba, Rita Mordio, Nisa, Fujiko Mine, and Cream The Rabbit.

In other words, most of her famous roles are Deuteragonist secondary main characters (that does not mean they are not awesome though). Ruff has a wide voice range, going from Girl like Yuki to HotBlooded like Yoko to Cloudcuckoolander ditzy and happy like Tsukasa. Her characters are mostly badass babes (or just hot babes in general, like Fujiko Mine in Lupin III).

She was awarded for "Best Voice Actress in an Anime Dub" at Anime Expo 09 for her role as Rukia.

!!Tropes associated with Michelle Ruff:
* Deuteragonist: What her best well known roles fall into.
* PigeonholedVoiceActor: A lot of her characters are usually deep-voiced badass or hot chicks such as Crimson Viper, Rukia, Nisa, Yoko, Etna. Also, as mentioned above, most of her characters are deuteragonists or minor characters and rarely receive lead roles.
* PlayingAgainstType: As the sweet, aproachable, and childlike Miharu, and the timid, sad, easily frightened Noire.
* WomanOfAThousandVoices: How can we not forget this? She is not only capable of a deep voice, but also softer tone for The Quiet Ones like Yuki Nagato and Anri. Or doing a higher-pitch voice for more younger characters like Cream the Rabbit and Desco; and even young boys.
