Robert Michael Winner (30 October 1935 – 21 January 2013) was an English film director and producer.

Known for directing the first three films in the ''Film/DeathWish'' series and for appearing in Esure television commercials prior his death. He later became a restaurant critic.

Once demanded (and got) an on-air apology from ''Series/HaveIGotNewsForYou'' when they said that he wore stained underpants when making love to his then-girlfriend. This then resulted in a torrent of jokes aimed at him.
