Matthew Hill (born January 19, 1968 in North Vancouver, British Columbia) is a Canadian voice actor and self-proclaimed ''"PROTECTOR OF THE PLANET"'' who worked for Creator/TheOceanGroup in UsefulNotes/{{Vancouver}}, British Columbia, Canada. He is known for several roles, including Kevin Keene, also known as Captain N from the eponymous animated series ''WesternAnimation/CaptainNTheGameMaster'', Kira Yamato in ''Anime/MobileSuitGundamSEED'' and ''[[Anime/MobileSuitGundamSEEDDestiny Gundam SEED Destiny]]'', Bankotsu in ''Manga/InuYasha'', Kom in ''WesternAnimation/AMonkeysTale'' and Ryo Sanada in ''Anime/RoninWarriors'', but he is probably most remembered for being the voice behind the character of Ed in Creator/CartoonNetwork's [[Creator/CartoonCartoons original series]] ''WesternAnimation/EdEddNEddy'', which was also among his longest-running roles.


He was born in the same place as Creator/SamuelVincent. The two are often cast together as friends, most famously as the two protagonists of the ''Gundam SEED'' franchise; Kira Yamato (Hill) and Athrun Zala (Vincent) & in ''Ed, Edd n Eddy'', with Ed (Hill) & Edd (Vincent). He has one of the most youthful and recognized voices in the voice acting community, often cast in teenage roles because of this. His live action role was his portrayal of Raphael in ''Film/TeenageMutantNinjaTurtlesIII''. In ''Series/NinjaTurtlesTheNextMutation'', he voiced Raphael. He also played the deputy in the live-action movie ''Film/ShanghaiKnights''.

Hill also participated in the [[http://www.runforoneplanet.com/ Run for One Planet]] from May 2008 to May 2009.

His Texas counterpart is Creator/GregAyres.

In 2013, he established a presence in California to get more voice acting work. Otherwise, he is doing work in Vancouver.
