Lacey Nicole Chabert [[note]]Her surname is French (she's Cajun) and pronounced "shah-BEHR" (same rule as [[Creator/StephenColbert Colbert]]).[[/note]] (born September 30, 1982 in Purvis, Mississippi) is an American Actress and Singer.

She is probably best known for her roles as Claudia Salinger on ''Series/PartyOfFive'', Penny Robinson in ''Film/LostInSpace'' and Gretchen Wieners in ''Film/MeanGirls'', but her distinctive, sweet sounding voice (best compared to aural candyfloss) has won her major roles as a voice actor. Her voice credits include Eliza Thornberry in ''WesternAnimation/TheWildThornberrys'', Ruth [=McDougal=] (Arnold's crush who turns out to not be the girl he envisioned) on the early episodes of ''WesternAnimation/HeyArnold'', Meg Griffin in ''WesternAnimation/FamilyGuy'' (for the first season; she was later replaced by Creator/MilaKunis, though some of the season one episodes with Chabert as Meg were mixed in with the season two episodes with Kunis as Meg.
