Kazuya Nakai (born November 25, 1967, fondly called [[FanNickname Nakapon]] by his fans) is a Japanese voice actor best known as Roronoa Zoro from ''Manga/OnePiece'' and Mugen from ''Anime/SamuraiChamploo'', but his role as Date Masamune in the ''VideoGame/SengokuBasara'' series has given him memetic status. He entered the world of voice acting at the same time as Creator/YumiKakazu, [[Anime/AfterWarGundamX in the same show]].

His trademark role is usually one with a very rowdy personality, candidates for badass JerkWithAHeartOfGold, and more likely than not a {{samurai}}/swordsman. A lot of them are also TheRival or TheLancer. In [[PlayingAgainstType contrast]] he's played some quiet characters, plus one or two cold-blooded psychopaths.

As a native from Kobe, he sometimes uses the Kansai accent in his roles.

Has relations with both Creator/MasakazuMorita and Creator/SayakaOhara.
