Hrithik (pronounced roughly HREE-thick) Roshan (born 10 January 1974) is an Indian actor working in Bollywood. He is the son of Rakesh Roshan, a B-list actor from the 1970s who became a successful director in the 80s and 90s. Rakesh Roshan manages his son's career, and has directed a number of his films.

After having appeared in films as a child actor in the 1980s, Hrithik Roshan made his film debut in a leading role in ''Film/KahoNaaPyaarHai'' (2000). The film was a major success, and Roshan's performance earned him Filmfare Awards for Best Actor and Best Male Debut. He has been noted for his performances in films like ''[[Film/KoiMilGaya Koi... Mil Gaya]]'' (2003), ''Film/{{Krrish}}'' (2006) and ''[[Film/{{Dhoom}} Dhoom 2]]'' (2006), which are also his biggest commercial successes so far, and for which he won numerous Best Actor awards.

In 2008, Roshan received his fourth Filmfare Best Actor Award as well as his first international award at the Golden Minbar International Film Festival in Kazan, Russia for his performance in ''Film/JodhaaAkbar''. Roshan has thus established himself as one of the leading actors of India. He was married to Suzanne Khan from 2000-2014, she is the daughter of Sanjay Khan (another old-school b-list star) and they have two sons together.
