Harry Partridge (aka [=HappyHarry=]) is a flash animator, who voice acts, writes and scores all of his animations, as well as occasionally doing collaborative works with Chris "Oney" O'Neill (of LeoAndSatan fame) and StuartAshen. He also happens to be the son of Music/{{XTC}}'s Andy Partridge. Your stereotypical Flash cartoon, his are not!

He releases his videos on his [[http://www.youtube.com/user/harrypartridge YouTube]] and [[http://happyharry.newgrounds.com/flash/ Newgrounds]] pages, with some of his older videos also available on [[http://thatguywiththeglasses.com/videolinks/ir/hh/hhani That Guy with the Glasses]].

----
!!The works of Harry Partridge provide examples of :

* AffectionateParody: Almost all of his cartoons are parodies, if not, direct homages to, stereotypical Saturday morning cartoons of the '80s and '90s.
* AreYouThinkingWhatIAmThinking: [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iEq_Fz3bBO8 "Michael The Terrible Boyfriend"]]. [[StrangeMindsThinkAlike In all likelihood]], you're not.
** Hal the Misinterpretive Porn Star.
* ArsonMurderAndJaywalking: The Starbarians' rap sheet. See LongList below.
* AuthorAppeal: Has two videos dedicated to [[VideoGame/TheElderScrollsVSkyrim Skyrim]] found [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c9eGtyqz4gY here]] and [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lsqiSknjHK8 here]]. Both have [[ReadingsAreOffTheScale over ten million]] [[CrowningMusicOfAwesome views]].
* AxCrazy: Michael the Terrible Boyfriend. He wants to sneak into his girlfriend's bedroom without her parents catching on. He sees an opportunity to pose as a pizza guy, so [[spoiler:he decides to crash into his girlfriend's bedroom on the back of a man-eating [[PteroSoarer pterodactyl]], which rips his girlfriend to shreds, all the while he's watching with murderous glee.]]
* BavarianFireDrill: Stephen the Lesbian combines this with MindScrew.
* BearsAreBadNews[=/=]ThreateningShark: A recurring sketch is "Bearshark", in which a man-eating bear and a man-eating shark work together to pursue a guy beyond the point of absurdity so they can eat him.
* BlatantLies: His [=YouTube=] channel description reads "Good clean cartoon hijinks from the lovable Harry Partridge." [[BlackComedy Haha, no]].
** His description for the [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qCTbFN0EsDM Stephen the Lesbian]] [[MakesJustAsMuchSenseInContext cartoon]]:
--->''An educational documentary about lesbians.''
* BigGuyLittleGuy: Killgar and Hogstrong the Starbarians, respectively.
* BizarreAlienBiology: Lampshaded in "[[{{Film/Avatar}} Hot Na'vi Sex]]" with the Na'vi's use of connecting their ponytails for use in mating. Males apparently also have a "soup drinker" in place of where we would expect to find a penis, and females have a secondary pair of lips between theilegs that they use to play musical instruments.
* BlackComedy
* TheBlank: A Victorian-looking gentleman in ''The Justin Bieber Show''.
-->They took my ''face'', Justin!
* BuffySpeak: Animatery, Film-Makery Stuffery (Subtitle: [[BlatantLies Actual Technical Terms]])
* ButterFace: Foster's wife from ''VideoGame/{{Hitman}} Absolution: Hiding in Plain Sight'' is introduced with the MaleGaze but is quickly shown to have Agent 47's face ([[RuleOfFunny like everything else]]).
* CarryingACake: Subverted at the last second. [[spoiler: The cake is unscathed. The guy who was about to fall into it... [[ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice not so much.]]]]
* CreepyChild: [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GvFS3U1KO9w Jimmy Tickles]]
* CurbStompBattle: The butch lesbian in "Stephen the Lesbian" has to fight in an arena against a dark phantom beast... which kills her in a single hit.
* CuttingTheKnot: The Starbarians are challenged by Siad the Snake-Wizard to a game of chance. Since he's able to manipulate fate itself, they instead opt to [[spoiler:beat the crap out of him.]]
* {{Defictionalisation}}: In a video advertising merchandise for his cartoons, Harry talks about Stephen the Lesbian, Gentlemen Clam, and Black Guy with the Brain of a White Guy, among others, then talked about merchandise for his real cartoons. [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qCTbFN0EsDM Then came the Stephen the Lesbian cartoon.]]
* DepartmentOfRedundancyDepartment: Killgar of Killgaria and Hogstrong [=LeStrong=], the Starbarians.
* EverybodyLaughsEnding: [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qOqHUa2LfNY "Barrrlaaaaa!"]]
* EverythingsWorseWithBees: DR BEES.
* EvilLaugh: Jimmy Tickles, [[KickTheSonOfABitch denying death-row inmates their last meals, then laughing as they're executed.]]
* FamilyFriendlyFirearms:
** Parodied. Bo-Starr's "Stun Ray" ''[[LudicrousGibs blows off Grassman's entire upper half]]'' because Bo-Starr forgot to actually set it to stun.
** Played for laughs with the ''ComicBook/{{Watchmen}}'' [[{{SugarWiki/Watchmen}} parody]], in keeping with the SaturdayMorningCartoon tropes it's laden with.
* ForceFeeding: Hal forces on of his unfortunate co-stars to consume endless amounts of meat to keep her from going cannibal [[EntendreFailure after she says she is 'always hungry for meat']].
* {{Foreshadowing}}
** In ''[[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bdhAzIVC9iw Chuck's New Tux]]'', Chuck says he looks sharp in his new tux. [[spoiler: He ends up impaled on a pointy metal fence at the end of the video]].
** In ''[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hfYRfpaBwnc Hitman Absolution: Hiding in Plain Sight]]'', Foster walks past a mirror, and like everything else, his reflection appears to be Agent 47. [[spoiler: After surviving an assassination attempt, he retaliates and reveals himself to have been the real 47 all along.]]
* {{Gainaxing}}: [[MeaningfulName Princess Bustilda]]
* GagBoobs: Shows up multiple times in the Starbarians shorts. Even their (tyrannosaur-shaped [[RuleOfCool for some reason]]) ''spaceship'' has 'em.
* GetAHoldOfYourselfMan: The Dragonborn does this to a nerd in "Song of Skyrim", telling him to stop [[{{Wangst}} Wangsting]] about his crappy life when [[MundaneMadeAwesome he could be playing]] ''[[VideoGame/TheElderScrollsVSkyrim Skyrim]]''!
* {{GIRL}}: In "[[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vMRSRyYZtuk Back to Tamriel]]", which is about VideoGame/TheElderScrollsOnline:
-->'''Harry:''' You're a chick in real life, right?\\
'''Elf Mademoiselle:''' ''([[VocalDissonance in an obviously male voice]])'' Yes.
* GoGoEnslavement: Bustilda meets this fate... ''twice'', once from a SorcerousOverlord, and [[spoiler:once from [[NominalHero the Starbarians themselves]]]]. She even gets ballgagged for good measure.
* HulkingOut: '''''"[[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MOUjJbhdOZA THREE DEE!]]"'''''
* HypocriticalHumor: Stephen The Lesbian's first decree as King of the Lesbians:
--> '''Stephen:''' "I shall bang each and every one of you! ...except the ones that look like dudes, 'cause that's ''totally gay!''"
* ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice: [[spoiler:In "Chuck's New Tux", it seems like Chuck is gonna land head first into a wedding cake, which will ruin his new tux. Instead he gets impaled on a metal spiked fence. Ironically, his tux is still ruined.]]
* InsaneTrollLogic: Of course, this would imply that [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qCTbFN0EsDM "Stephen the Lesbian"]] runs off of ''any'' kind of logic.
* {{Jerkass}}: The eponymous ''[[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KemOvmLB2Sc&feature=plcp&context=C4b25005VDvjVQa1PpcFPzJWk6qnHNlQBRKt3GHJlJmZpcFFQqt0I= Starbarians]]''. They agree to kill a dangerous beast on the planet of Mammoria in exchange for a month of alcohol, orgies, and plentiful food, because [[SuicideMission they'll probably die on the mission]]. They get their reward up front, and when the month is over, they renege on their promise after exiting the capital. They only get worse in ''[[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SOuNeX9kmWw Starbarians Episode 1]]''. It's acknowledged InUniverse in ''Starbarians 1.5'' where they discover they're actually ''more'' wanted than the wanted criminal they aim to collect on.
* LargeHam
* LegacyCharacter: [[spoiler:Dr. Bees is implied to have ''bee''-come one at the end of his titular animation.]]
* LiteralGenie: [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HXsvVQe34k8 Hal the Misinterpretive Porn Star]] seeks to invoke this in every scene he does.
* LongList: The Starbarians' rap sheet, as seen in episode 1.5:
-->'''Hogstrong:''' "Starbarians, wanted on 120 systems, for [[TheCorrupter coercion]], [[{{Blackmail}} extortion]], [[FinalSolution extinctions]], [[WrittenByTheWinners distortions]], [[DirtyCoward desertions]], [[TropesAboutPerverts perversions]], [[SexualHarassmentAndRapeTropes illegal insertions]], [[TakeOverTheWorld invasions of nations]] and [[SpaceX space]]-[[WhiteCollarCrime tax evasion]], [[LoudOfWar commotions]], [[StuffBlowingUp explosions]], and '''[[ArsonMurderAndJaywalking loitering?]]'''"
* MagicFloppyDisk: Apparently, all of ''Skyrim'' can fit on a single floppy. A ''[[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Floppy_disk#5+1.E2.81.844-inch_floppy_disk_.28.22Minifloppy.22.29 5.25]]'' floppy, at that...
* ManOfAThousandVoices
* MachoCamp: The Starbarians. They certainly have the ''look'' down, anyway.
* MeaningfulName:
** Hal The Misinterpretive Porn Star
** Michael The Terrible Boyfriend
* MindScrew:
** "Dr. Bees". He correctly identifies an object in the sky as a plane, noting that ''he himself'' is presently on the plane, and no matter where he is when he makes his entrance, he's always standing on a grassy hill dotted with flowers. Then there's the family at the picnic...
** The entirety of "Hitman Absolution: Hiding in Plain Sight".
*** Agent 47 goes into a police station. A cop notices him, and thinks he recognizes him.. [[spoiler:as Foster. After the other cop leaves, Agent 47 is seen in a rather large donut. When Foster goes home, he walks past his two dogs with Agent 47's face, gives his hat to his son with Agent 47's face, playing with a girl with Agent 47's face, as Agent 47 is on the Television, and while Agent 47's head is seen on a fish. He goes into the kitchen to see his wife, who has Agent 47's Face. Agent 47's face is seen on a chicken that is pulled out the oven, while Foster kisses his wife, Agent 47. When Foster goes to bed, the wife, Agent 47, kills him. But Foster survives and kills Agent 47.. only to turn out to be Agent 47.]]
** ''The Justin Bieber Show''. What does it MEAN?!?
* {{Mondegreen}}: [[Music/{{Lordi}} BYE OLD]] [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MPHaahKa1Nk MECHANIC MAN!]].
* MoodWhiplash: Harry's cartoon's are known for going from lighthearted fun to absolutely terrifying in the blink of an eye.
* NightmareFace: ''[[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g3GzMPzGa1Y But the pain will be more than real...]]''
* NightmareFuelStationAttendant: Justin Bieber, in ''The Justin Bieber Show''. His roommates range from a mildly disturbing, human-sized talking raven wearing a coat and hat (which is not drawn like a FunnyAnimal), to a [[AdultFear crazed woman holding a dead baby that she doesn't quite realize is dead]], and a [[BodyHorror guy with]] ''[[BodyHorror a fucking beehive growing out of his face]]''.
-->'''Justin:''' Oh, you guys!
* {{Nominal Hero}}es: The Starbarians. They don't give a crap about actually doing heroic deeds, and in episode 1.5 are revealed to be even worse than the villains they oppose.
* NonHumanUndead: Vampire T-Rex in "[[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iAYf9YJSKXc&feature=c4-overview&list=UUir4goG7LBQCh5rc3frkHuA With Animation You Can!]]" as an example of the crazy shit ''you'' can make with animation!
* OnlySaneMan: The only remotely normal roommate in ''The Justin Bieber Show'' is the Victorian Raven. Yeah, it's weird, but considering the fact that Justin shares his house with a demanding Termite King, a homeless man washing a hole into his arm, a man with a beehive in his face, a man with ''no face whatsoever'' and a woman in denial about her dead baby, and all the Raven said was "Please tell us, Justin!", it's easy to deduce that the Raven is the most "normal" resident.
* OutOfCharacterMoment: Used deliberately in ''[[{{SugarWiki/Watchmen}} Saturday Morning Watchmen]]''. Knowing the graphic novel's plot, you'd be aware that [[spoiler:Ozymandias beat up the Comedian and threw him out of a high rise building to kill him, yet Adrian inexplicably catches him to save his life in the parody, their preceding altercation instantly forgotten]].
** The Comedian is Silk Spectre II's fan, and dreams of kissing her. [[spoiler:He's her father.]]
* ParentalIncest: Presumably unintended in-universe-- The Comedian in ''[[{{SugarWiki/Watchmen}} Saturday Morning Watchmen]]'' wants a kiss from [[spoiler:Silk Spectre, who is his illegitimate daughter in canon]]. An example of (perhaps unintentional) conflation of the two Silk Spectres, as The Comedian attempted to rape the original Silk Spectre (the mother of the second one), whereas in Saturday Morning Watchmen he merely wants to kiss her.
* PigMan: Hogstrong of ''Starbarians''.
* ThePowerOfRock: Mordin's plan for defeating the Reapers in the ''Franchise/MassEffect'' [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qOqHUa2LfNY cartoon debut trailer.]]
* RagingStiffie: Look close (or don't) at the end of ''Skyrim''...
* RefugeInAudacity: Stephen the Lesbian.
* SaveThePrincess: [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SOuNeX9kmWw Starbarians - Episode 1]] had the two heroes rescuing [[MeaningfulName Princess Bustilda.]] [[spoiler:Only to end up kidnapping her themselves.]]
* ScheduleSlip: Acknowledged in the [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gpb1q2fmpag&feature=c4-overview&list=UUir4goG7LBQCh5rc3frkHuA intro video]] for the first part of the second ''Starbarians'' episode (the [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?annotation_id=annotation_3873765523&feature=iv&src_vid=gpb1q2fmpag&v=Jwl0IByq1ME actual video]] being hosted on the [=HuHa=]! channel):
-->'''Emaciated, Starving Fan:''' So...hungry...
* SecretIdentity: Parodied with Dr. Bees. His secret identity is ''another superhero''. It's a strange case as what might be his civilian name ("[[PunnyName Dr. Miles Manners]]") is on his office door, but his alternate superhero name ("The Striped Stinger") is on his desk name plate.
* SelfDeprecation: Some of his vids, but they usually make things funnier.
** On NicolasCage [[StupidStatementDanceMix Wants Cake]]: "I promise I will never make anything this retarded ever again."
** Through this exchange:
--->'''Announcer''': Do you like the Web Cartoons of Harry Partridge?
--->'''Nerd''': Well actually I prefer Creator/{{Egorapt|or}}-
--->'''Announcer''': Then you'll love...
* SomethingCompletelyDifferent: [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Rpn1cMdMkg Ace Ryder]], an old student film of his that he rediscovered by accident and redubbed for his channel.
* SoreLoser: The Starbarians. Siad did beat them in the dice roll (as evidenced by his "that's not fair, I won!") and they beat him to a pulp for it. In fairness, knowing the Starbarians they would have done that even if they won.
* StrongFamilyResemblance: Animated Harry's parents, as seen in the ''Skyrim'' video.
* StupidStatementDanceMix: [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5PJddmfesaA Nicolas Cage wants that chocolate cake]].
* SubvertedKidsShow: Seems to be a favorite trope of his.
** Examples include ''Bo Starr'', a ''[[WesternAnimation/HeManAndTheMastersOfTheUniverse1983 He-Man]]'' parody, and ''Chuck's New Tux'', a bit of wacky SaturdayMorningCartoon hi-jinks that ends in {{Gorn}}, and ''Mass Effect''.
** Inverted with ''[[{{SugarWiki/Watchmen}} Saturday Morning Watchmen]]'' and ''Franchise/TheElderScrolls Adventures with the [[VideoGame/TheElderScrollsVSkyrim Dovahkids]]''.
* SuperPersistentPredator: Taken to extremes in "BearShark" as per RuleOfFunny.
* SurrealHorror: ''The Justin Beiber Show''. And often coupled with SurrealHumor.
* TakeThat:
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k3Pjgs9I9Ns This video]] takes a major jab at "animation" programs that use canned animations and text to speech functions to create "animations" easily.
** [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yw-delgGVmw This cartoon]] takes jabs at Oasis for trying to sound like the Beatles. It also takes jabs at other bands who have tried to imitate the Beatles, including XTC [[note]] Harry's father, Andy Partridge, was the lead singer and guitarist for XTC[[/note]]
** He's also amongst many of those mocking a certain [[{{Webcomic/Sonichu}} Christian Weston Chandler]], having the manchild appear in several of his animations.
** Subverted in ''The Justin Bieber Show'', which - despite focusing on [[Music/JustinBieber one of the most hated cultural figures at the time]] - has essentially nothing to say about Bieber himself.
** "[[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VViTfSmpYtI Johnny Depp in Burtonland]]" is a straight example against Creator/TimBurton. Tim Burton is the Mad Hatter in ''Film/AliceInWonderland'', and Creator/JohnnyDepp gets lost in Burton's kingdom, suffers deja vu about his previous roles in Burton's films, and has to traverse a variety of obstacles and avenge MichaelKeaton's "cinematic death" post-1992.[[note]]This ignores of course that Johnny Depp in fact loves working with Burton time and again.[[/note]]
-->'''Pumpkinhead Kid:''' Mr. Depp! Welcome to your home... ''forever''...
** [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iAYf9YJSKXc With Animation You Can]] contains one directed towards {{WesternAnimation/Brickleberry}}, calling it "totally bland."
* TalkToTheFist: The Starbarians are challenged to a game of chance by the Snake-Wizard, Siad. They promptly beat him senseless.
* {{Troll}}: Hal the Misinterpretive Porn-Star. Because the end of the animation implies he knew EXACTLY what his female co-stars were saying.
* UnfortunateName: A lesbian bar called "The Big Dyke". There's even a giant billboard right next to the building attempting to explain it:
-->'''Billboard''': "Dyke", as in a natural or artificial embankment which regulates water levels. -The Management
* VomitIndiscretionShot: [[spoiler:Before Chuck dies after getting impaled, he pukes out ''his insides''.]]
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse[=/=]TheUnreveal: Numerous viewers of ''The Justin Bieber Show'' want to know: ''who did Justin see at the mall?!''
* [[WhatKindOfLamePowerIsHeartAnyway What Kind of Lame Power is Bees Anyway?]]: Dr. Bees' only power seems to be(e) that he carries around a lot of bees. And no, he can't control them.
* [[WhenAllYouHaveIsAHammer When All You Have Is A Load Of Bees]], a laaarge influx of BEES ought to put a stop to any given problem approached by Dr. Bees! Yes, that includes problems caused by an over-abundance of bees.
* WindsOfDestinyChange: Siad the Snake-Wizard's power in ''Starbarians'', though it's not clear if it isn't simply [[MundaneMadeAwesome a euphemism for changing the print on the sides of dice]] since he never gets to try anything bigger before [[TalkToTheFist the Starbarians beat him into submission]] and promptly move on.
* XMeetsY: ComicBook/{{Watchmen}} [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YDDHHrt6l4w meets]] {{Saturday Morning Cartoon}}s, plus several delicious helpings of {{Irony}}.
