->''"I know that when youíre a teenager, and even sometimes when youíre an adult, what sets you apart can sometimes feel like a burden and itís not. And a lot of the time, itís what makes you great."''
-->--'''Emma Stone'''

Emma Stone, born Emily Jean Stone on November 6, 1988 in Scottsdale, Arizona, is an American actress. She got into community theater at a very young age and was already in youth improv troupes as a pre-teen. She first came to Hollywood in 2004 at the age of 15 after she used a slideshow presentation to convince her parents to let her become an actress instead of finishing high school. She competed on a VH1 reality show "In Search For The Next Partridge Family" and won the part of the new Laurie Partridge. However this updated version of ''ThePartridgeFamily'' never made it past the pilot. She next tried for the part of Claire in ''Series/{{Heroes}}'' but lost out to HaydenPanettiere. She appeared in an episode of ''LuckyLouie'' as a teenage babysitter who wanted to give Louie a blowjob and the short-lived FOX series starring NathanFillion called ''Drive''. In 2007 she made her feature film debut in the Judd Apatow produced comedy ''{{Film/Superbad}}'' as Jules the girl Jonah Hill wanted to go out with. The next year she was in ''TheHouseBunny'' starring Creator/AnnaFaris and ''Film/TheRocker'' starring RainnWilson. She then starred in the horror-comedy ''Film/{{Zombieland}}'' in 2009 along with Woody Harrelson, JesseEisenberg and Creator/AbigailBreslin. In 2010, Emma got her first lead role as Olive Pendergast in the teen comedy ''Film/EasyA'', which earned her a nomination for a Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy. In 2011, she was in the films ''Film/CrazyStupidLove'' and ''Film/TheHelp'', which both had critical and commercial success. Stone also plays Gwen Stacy in ''Film/TheAmazingSpiderMan''.

It's been joked that Emma has the career LindsayLohan would have had if she hadn't turned into a drug addicted mess.

Her low-pitched, husky voice is the result of calluses she has on her vocal cords thanks to suffering from colic as an infant, which developed into nodules.

!!This actress contains examples of:

* CelebrityVoiceActor: In ''Film/{{Marmaduke}}'' and ''WesternAnimation/TheCroods''.
* DemotedToExtra: Despite the main advertising campaign for ''Film/TheHelp'' being based around her, her role seemed to be diminished by both fans and critics in favor of Viola Davis and Octavia Spencer.
* DoesNotLikeShoes: She was once photographed being barefoot at an airport. And she was nowhere near airport security.
* DyeHard: Stone is a natural blonde, but has gained fame for being a redhead in films like ''{{Film/Superbad}}'' and ''Film/EasyA''. She has dyed her hair blonde again to play Gwen Stacy in ''Film/TheAmazingSpiderMan''.
* FanGirl: Of the Music/SpiceGirls. [[TheKnightsWhoSaySquee She freaked out]] when she got to talk to Mel B (Scary) and Mel C (Sporty) at different times via video while promoting ''Film/TheAmazingSpiderMan2''.
** And she comes very close to freaking out when during an [[http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Q4nqo5nSAw interview]] by [[Series/TheGrahamNortonShow Graham Norton]], he implies to her that all five of them are backstage waiting to meet her. [[spoiler:[[{{Troll}} They're not.]]]]
* FieryRedhead: Kind of averted. See Dye Hard. But still fiery.
* IdenticalStranger: It is regularly noted that stand-up comedian, Kathleen Madigan, looks like an older Emma and, barring their different accents, they even have very similar voices.
* [[PromotedFanboy Promoted Fangirl]]:
** Turns out she's a big fan of ''{{Series/iCarly}}'' - she actually got a cameo in one of the last episodes for that show (as, appropriately enough, a big fan of ''iCarly''. So big that for once Jerry Trainor was the ''second'' most [[LargeHam over the top]] performer in an episode).
** One of her heroes is original ''Series/SaturdayNightLive'' cast member Gilda Radner and her dream was to appear on the show. Achieved it in when she became host in 2010 and was asked back to host again in 2011.
* RomanceOnTheSet: Currently dating Creator/AndrewGarfield, her co-star in ''The Amazing Spider-Man''.
* StageName: Took the name Emma because "Emily Stone" was there was already taken in the Screen Actors Guild. Prefers to be called 'Em' by friends.
* ThoseTwoActors: She and Creator/RyanGosling have played love interests in two movies ''Film/CrazyStupidLove'' and ''Film/GangsterSquad''.
* TypeCasting: She usually the deadpan snarker in Rom-coms who often squints her eyes and mouths her words. [[TheAmazingSpiderMan Even as a superhero's girlfriend.]]
* WhatBeautifulEyes: Seriously, look at that picture.
