Dimps is an Osaka, Japan-based video game development studio, founded by ex-Creator/{{SNK}} employees in 2000. Among the ex-SNK staff are Creator/TakashiNishiyama and Creator/HiroshiMatsumoto, who both worked on the original ''VideoGame/{{Street Fighter|I}}'' and several of [[VideoGame/FatalFury SNK's]] [[VideoGame/ArtOfFighting fighting]] [[VideoGame/TheKingOfFighters games]], with Nishiyama taking the role of Dimps's president. Dimps is known principally for developing anime-based {{Fighting Game}}s and the later 2D ''Franchise/SonicTheHedgehog'' platformers.
