Craig [=McCracken=] is an American animator, responsible for the Creator/CartoonNetwork cartoons, ''WesternAnimation/ThePowerpuffGirls'', as well as ''WesternAnimation/FostersHomeForImaginaryFriends''. Born in 1971 in Chareloi, Pennsylvania his family moved to Whitter, California after [=McCracken=]'s father died when he was seven. He went to the California Institute of Arts, where he formed a strong friendship with GenndyTartakovsky and Rob Renzetti (WesternAnimation/MyLifeAsATeenageRobot). The friendship is evident in the cooperation between series. After graduating he got his start on ''TwoStupidDogs''. He created a cartoon called "Whoopass Stew," and the idea eventually became ''The Powerpuff Girls''.

He met and eventually married LaurenFaust, who worked as producer and writer for ''Powerpuff Girls'' and ''Foster's Home''. There was also a short lived project on Cartoon Network he and Rob Renzetti created called {{Cartoonstitute}}, which was supposed to be a SpiritualSuccessor to the WhatACartoonShow on TV, but it got put quietly on CN's video service instead. He left Cartoon Network in 2009, and is currently working on ''WesternAnimation/WanderOverYonder'', [[http://www.latimes.com/entertainment/news/tv/la-et-disney-animation-20120312,0,7335573.story which got picked up by the Disney Channel]] and premiered on September 13, 2013.

!!Notable works include:

* ''Whoopass Stew''
* ''No Neck Joe''
* ''TwoStupidDogs'' Art director mostly.
* ''WesternAnimation/DextersLaboratory'' Art director and writer
* ''WesternAnimation/ThePowerpuffGirls''
* ''WesternAnimation/FostersHomeForImaginaryFriends''
* ''WesternAnimation/WanderOverYonder''

!!Tropes used by this artist:

* AdobeFlash: Switched to it when he started work on ''[[WesternAnimation/FostersHomeForImaginaryFriends Foster's...]]'' since it allows for faster and more expressive moment. Every animation from him since then has been done in this style, though he has switched to ToonBoom for ''Wander Over Yonder''.
* {{Animesque}}: ''The Powerpuff Girls'' was basically this mixed with heavy UPA/Hanna-Barbera influence.
* AuthorAvatar: Mac from ''[[WesternAnimation/FostersHomeForImaginaryFriends Foster's]]'' is [[WriteWhoYouKnow unintentionally]] a bit based on himself as a kid. He eventually rolled with it.
* BadassBeard: His current pictures have him with one. [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:CMCC.jpg See here.]]
* GettingCrapPastTheRadar: Like fellow Hanna-Barbera producer GenndyTartakovsky, he enjoys this trope. The Radar entry of ''WesternAnimation/ThePowerpuffGirls'' page is an excellent example.
* NoHuggingNoKissing: Seems to prefer this rule in his cartoons and also seems to dislike when his shows' fanbase gets too into {{Shipping}}.
* TheNoseless: Rather common in his cartoons (ThePowerpuffGirls, [[FostersHomeForImaginaryFriends Bloo, Wilt,]] [[WanderOverYonder Wander]] . . . )
* TheSixties: He missed the decade by a year but a lot of his works are heavily influenced by it.
* ThickLineAnimation: His SignatureStyle. Both ''The Powerpuff Girls'' and ''Wander Over Yonder'' used this. It's inverted with ''Fosters'' which is done in a lineless style.
* WildHair: Most often portrayed with very curly hair.
