Christina Rene Hendricks (born May 3, 1975 in Knoxville, Tennessee) is a British-American actress.

She's known to geeks and tropers mostly for her two appearances on ''Series/{{Firefly}}'' as Saffron. Since then, however, she's got considerably more mainstream exposure thanks to her role in ''Series/MadMen'' as SexySecretary Joan Holloway. She also appeared in ''[[Theatre/CompanySondheim Company]]'' opposite Creator/NeilPatrickHarris, Creator/StephenColbert, and Creator/PattiLuPone, and in ''Film/{{Drive|2011}}'', directed by Nicholas Winding Refn, with Creator/RyanGosling. From 2018 to 2021, she plays the protagonist of ''Series/GoodGirls'', a soccer mom turned criminal when her family goes broke.
