Caroline Stevermer is a fantasy author whose works are often HistoricalFantasy. She is perhaps best known as the co-author, with Creator/PatriciaCWrede, of the ''Literature/SorceryAndCecelia'' trilogy.

Of her solo works, probably the best known is the "Literature/ScholarlyMagics" series: ''A College of Magics'', a {{Ruritania}}n fantasy set in the early 20th century, with a prequel ''When the King Comes Home'' and sequel ''A Scholar of Magics''.

She has also written ''River Rats'', a {{postapocalyptic}} adventure on the Mississippi River; the Alchemist duology, set in the Italy of the Borgias; and ''Magic Below Stairs'', a children's fantasy set in the same world as ''Sorcery and Cecelia''.
