Asghar Farhadi (born born 7 May 1972) is a critically acclaimed UsefulNotes/{{Iran}}ian film director and screenwriter.

Among other awards, Farhadi has received two UsefulNotes/{{Academy Award}}s for Best Foreign Language Film, for ''Film/ASeparation'', and ''Film/TheSalesman''. He is the first Iranian director to win the award.
