In September 2014, he played the title role in ''Theatre/HedwigAndTheAngryInch'' on Broadway, taking over after Creator/NeilPatrickHarris left the show. In 2015, he also briefly took over the role of King George in ''Theatre/{{Hamilton}}'' after Creator/JonathanGroff left the show.
