Accolade, Inc. was a video game company founded in 1984 and based in San Jose.

Created by an ex-executive of Creator/{{Activision}}, Accolade (so named so that their titles would appear on shelves before Activision's, alphabetically) initially focused on the creation of family-accessible sports titles, as the founder was both a sports enthusiast and deeply religious. They were primarily known for the ''VideoGame/TestDrive'' series of exotic-sports car racing games.

Accolade's 1990s move into the console game market resulted in their being sued by Creator/{{Sega}} for producing unlicensed game cartridges for the UsefulNotes/SegaGenesis (many of which were released under their Ballistic label). Accolade wound up winning the suit, but nevertheless became an official Sega licensee in 1993.

In 1999, Accolade was acquired by Creator/{{Infogrames}} (later Creator/{{Atari}}).
