!Major Humans

[[folder:AJDNNW "AJ"]]
!! AJDNNW "AJ"

The protagonist of ''Crystal'' and successor to the bickering mob. Many tropes that apply to Red (see [[Characters/TwitchPlaysPokemonRed here]]) apply to him as well.
----
* AmbiguouslyBi: He goes around collecting the numbers of a lot of dudes, yet also has some bizarre fixation with Whitney and [[IBangedYourMom Red's mom]].
* AntiHeroSubstitute: A fight-happy boy whose purpose is to exact bloody vengeance on the gods that have condemned him.
* BadassBookworm: Always takes the time to browse NPC bookshelves.
* BloodKnight: He almost never runs from a fight, even when he should. AJ doesn't believe in backtracking to heal, and often pushes himself to the point of blacking out. He'll even jump down ledges just to beat up random Hoppip that he spots below.
* CannotTalkToWomen: It takes him a ridiculous amount of time to heal with the lady at the Route 26 house, and when a Cooltrainer at the Victory Road gate offered her number, he blew her off and ran off the ledge. It's no wonder he only gets guys' phone numbers.
* CantUseStairs: During his attempt to leave home, he would attempt to go downstairs, only to immediately go back upstairs. This also happened when he entered Red's house.
* ChildSoldier: He is fighting a war against gods.
* ContrastingSequelMainCharacter: Unlike Red, who was tormented by the voices, AJ is also tortured, but has learned to embrace what benefits the voices bring.
* CursedWithAwesome: The voices of the mob have led AJ to heartbreak and hardship, but have also aided him on his quest for vengeance, leading him to victory and the source of his pain: the Helix and Red.
* DancingWithMyself: The movement animations have changed slightly in Gen 2: A quick tap of the D-Pad (which is what the chat-to-emulator program does) in a direction the character isn't facing will make him face that direction instead of moving, but while Red's sprite just changed directions, AJ's sprite shuffles its feet in a brief "walking" animation. This leads to him dancing in place more often than making any sort of progress.
* DealWithTheDevil: One interpretation is that AJ's made a [[http://i.imgur.com/6nz5co8.png deal]] with a mass of Unown in order to fight Red and Lord Helix.
* DeathGlare: Gave a particularly lengthy one to Morty during the Ecruteak gym battle.
* {{Determinator}}: He's lost 30+ times to the Elite Four, and keeps getting up for more.
* [[EvenBadMenLoveTheirMamas Even Morally Ambiguous Kids Love Their Mamas]]: See MamasBoy below.
* EvenTheGuysWantHim: Plenty of dudes eagerly throw their numbers his way, and even call AJ the very night of. Down boys!
* FantasticDrug: AJ tried to purchase Pokéballs to catch the red Gyarados, but instead blew most of his money on mushrooms, which he promptly shared with his Pokémon.
* FreakOut: Like Red, it can be interpreted that the downtime with the trippy version of the Route 3 music was this for AJ.
* HappilyAdopted: According to the mob, AJ is adopted and [[http://imgur.com/vpsJPBK has]] two mothers.
* HelloInsertNameHere: Perhaps a blank would have been better than ''AJDNNW'.
* IBangedYourMom: I Banged Red's Mom: Well, he ''wants'' to do so, anyway.
* KidHero: He's 11.
* KnowWhenToFoldEm: Tries running from a battle with a Bug Catcher after losing nearly all of his Pokémon.
* LikesOlderWomen: Considering his thoughts about Red's mom...
* LovableSexManiac: Most of his thoughts involve sexual things (fisting, talking dirty on the Pokégear, Red's mom, [[UnusualEuphemism milking]] (especially Whitney)), assuming that's not just the Mob talking for him.
* MadeOfIron: He has fallen through the floor in Ecruteak City's Gym countless times, and yet is still able to walk.
* MindVirus: The mob is starting to look more like a kind of virus or curse that moves from victim to victim.
* MommasBoy: One of AJ's [[http://shinysquirtlesquad.tumblr.com/post/78319713206/hes-ten more]] [[http://afoyan.tumblr.com/post/78331820241/that-mommys-boy-i-cant-believe adorable]] [[http://shinysquirtlesquad.tumblr.com/post/78315005400/no-one-said-it-would-be-easy-aj qualities.]]
* {{Narcissist}}: When encountering his reflection he has a tendency to stare at himself for ages before moving on, thanks to the chat spamming A. Lookin' good!
* NatureLover: Given how much time he spends in routes, he can be interpreted as this.
* NeverMyFault: He blames the voices for his poor actions and takes his frustration out on Red and his Pokémon.
* NiceJobBreakingItHero: So you beat Lord Helix, but failed to beat the rest of Red's team? Congratulations! You just disrupted the balance of the universe, and now the Hoenn region is in danger of being destroyed within 7 days unless you fully defeat Red.
** Did he save the world or just allow for a new host to be claimed by the mob?
* ObsessivelyOrganized:
** Constantly goes back and forth to check on his room when he just left it. AJ also has a habit of checking his empty pockets every so often, and, like Red, updates his Save Journal frequently.
** His menu border is one with a lot of symmetry involved.
** He's moved on to organizing his Pokémon's moves as well.* OnlyKnownByInitials: No one's exactly sure what "AJ" stands for.
* {{Revenge}}: Unlike Red, AJ could not handle the loss of his Pokémon and snapped. He blames the voices, and the Helix Fossil, who he believes forced the voices on him.
* SilentProtagonist: AJ doesn't say much. Even his phone calls tend to be one-sided.
* StickyFingers: AJ sadly has a habit of compulsively trying to catch the Pokémon of other trainers.
* TookALevelInBadass: Became the Indigo League Champion, proving his status as the most skilled Trainer in Johto.
* TroublingUnchildlikeBehavior: Thinks about "[[UnusualEuphemism milking]]" constantly, blows his money on mushrooms, and even plots deicide.
* {{Tsundere}}: Towards Joey and Wade. He even deleted Joey's number at one point, then flew all the way back to New Bark Town to reregister him.
* TheUnpronounceable: His given name, AJDNNW. Good luck with that.
* UnwittingPawn: To the voices. By stopping the seven day countdown, AJ only ensured that the voices may continue on to a new host in Hoenn.
* VillainProtagonist: From a certain perspective, AJ can be considered this in his quest to destroy the gods.
* WeaksauceWeakness: Stairs. He's also terrible at ice skating, which proved troublesome during the Ice Path puzzles.
* WellIntentionedExtremist: He's willing to wipe all Pokémon Gods from the world in his attempt to be rid of the voices for good. When not practicing deicide, AJ is a generally nice guy [[MamasBoy who loves his mother]] and is admired by several trainers.
* [[WhoNamesTheirKidDude Who Names Their Kid "AJDNNW"?]]
* WildChild: Let's see: He loves nature, is ferocious in combat, and pretty unstable in general. Not to forget that he seems to be adopted, implying that his true parents may have actually dropped him off in the wild.
[[/folder]]

[[folder: Silver]]
!! Silver
AJDNNW's rival and a Pokémon-stealing jerk. In the remakes, he's revealed to be Giovanni's son. Like his father, Silver causes great trouble for AJ and the Mob.
----
* AerithAndBob: The mob was furious when they didn't get to give him a silly name like AJDNNW.
* BreakTheHaughty: Getting plowed over by Lance has finally taken him down a peg or two.
* CurbstompBattle: AJ's first battle with him ended quickly.
* HelloInsertNameHere: Subverted. See MyNameIsQuestionMarks below.
* {{Hypocrite}}: He chastised AJ for being a thief after he threw a Lure Ball at his Gastly. Says the guy who stole one of Prof. Elm's starter being Chikorita.
* IrrationalHatred: He blames AJ for not being able to find a legendary Pokémon and battles him to vent his anger.
* {{Jerkass}}: Treats his rival like crap and his own Pokémon even worse.
* KickThemWhileTheyAreDown: Like his predecessor Blue, he knocks out his rival before he reaches his goal (Blue knocks him down while Red tries to become Champion, while Silver knocks him down before he reaches the League).
* KnightOfCerebus: He's ''far'' more threatening than [[BoisterousWeakling Blue]], and controls a party tailor-made for destroying the mob.
* MyNameIsQuestionMarks: Initially. When AJDNNW talked to the police officer looking for him, he told them the boy's name was Silver. [[note]]The Mob accidentally cancelled the naming progress, causing the game to result in his default name.[[/note]]
* OverlordJr: The son of the previous Let's Play's BigBad and no less imposing despite wanting nothing to do with Team Rocket.
* TheRival: A bit one-sided on Silver's side. AJ doesn't really want anything to do with him.
* SortingAlgorithmOfEvil: He's proving himself to be far more dangerous than Blue, because of his choice of pokémon (including a Haunter), the marginally better AI of Gen II and his habit of challenging AJ in the depths of [[DivideAndConquer dungeons chock-full of poisonous Mons]].
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: The last time AJ saw Silver was in Victory Road. After their battle, Silver set off to discover why he cannot obtain the power he desires.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:The Elite Four and Champion]]
!!Tropes applied to all:
* BossBonanza: 5 elite trainers, one after another, no healing.
* LuckBasedMission: Certain steps have been made in advance, but it's really up to luck that the mob can choose the right attack, switch at the right time, and hope that their Pokémon do not hurt themselves in confusion.

!!Will

The first member of the Elite Four. He is a master of Psychic-type Pokémon. He replaced Lorelei.
----
* ButtMonkey: The mob beat him the first time, then 30+ times after.
* {{Jobber}}: Although he beats on the party, and usually sets them up for a loss to Koga, Will has been about as big a wimp as Bruno was in gen 1.
** Seems to be in the process of an [[MookPromotion upgrade]] now that he regularly leads fights with Confuse Ray to take down Espeon.

!!Koga

3 years after the events of ''Twitch Plays Pokémon Red'', the Fuschia City Gym Leader was promoted to the second member of the Elite Four. Just like before, Koga is a master of Poison-type Pokémon.
----
* BetterToDieThanBeKilled: His Forretress once used Explosion as soon as he saw Lazorgator get sent out.
* TheDreaded: He is most certainly '''NOT''' the pushover he was from 3 years ago. His new Pokémon have several moves that the team is weak to, and they also love to inflict status effects as well as boosting Speed and Evasion.
%%* NatureLover: His room may indicate this.
* {{Ninja}}: Such an impressive Ninja, in fact, that all he has to do is stand still with his hands behind his back, and AJ will apparently walk straight past him repeatedly without seeing him.
* SignatureLaugh: EvilLaugh: "Fwahahahahahaha!"
%%* StatusEffects: Poison.
%%** Subverted with minimize.
* TookALevelInBadass: As a gym leader, Koga was nothing special. As an Elite Four member, [[ThatOneBoss well]]...

!!Bruno

The first of the two returning Elite Four members. Still specializes in Fighting and Rock types. Known by some as Bruno Mars.
----
* ConvectionSchmonvection: His section of the League is somehow filled with lava.
* [[WalkingShirtlessScene Sitting Shirtless Scene]]: Three years, and he still hasn't put on a shirt.
* TookALevelInBadass: Unlike his Gen 1 version, Bruno wiped the floor with AJ in their first fight, then again in a rematch.

!!Karen

The fourth Elite Four member and a Dark-type specialist.
----
* DeadpanSnarker: "You're AJDNNW? [[WhoNamesTheirKidDude How amusing]]."
* HeroKiller: Her Gengar not only has Curse, but also [[TakingYouWithMe Destiny Bond]] to instantly take out even Lazorgator.
* KryptoniteFactor: Right after the mob undertook [[http://i.imgur.com/rtqV3BT.png Operation: Please Everyone]], they had their best E4 run yet. Those who were saying it would be the final run forgot about her Gengar...
* TakingYouWithMe: With moves like Curse and Destiny Bond, her Gengar specializes in crippling AJ's team before his match with Lance.

!!Lance "Batman"

Returning from ''Red'', Lance is now the Champion of the Indigo Pokémon League. And Batman.
----
* BadassCape: When he was first seen from the back, his cape made the Mob think he was Batman.
* DiscOneFinalBoss: He's the Champion, but beating him will serve only to unlock the Kanto portion of the game, after which AJ can finally face [[TrueFinalBoss Red]].
* GoodIsNotSoft: Lance has had his Dragonite directly Hyper Beam a Rocket member because he refused to surrender.
* PalsWithJesus: Lance is revealed in his final battle with AJ to control Aerodactyl, the Old Amber, and God of Neutrality.
* TookALevelInBadass: He went from the final Elite Four member to the Champion.
* UltimateJobSecurity: Despite being utterly humiliated when Red defeated his Dragonite with a tiny Venomoth, he not only kept his job at the Elite Four but now is in charge of them as the Champion.

[[/folder]]

[[folder:Red]]
-> See also: ''[[Characters/TwitchPlaysPokemonRed Characters: Twitch Plays Pokemon Red]]''

The protagonist of WebVideo/TwitchPlaysPokemonRed. Three years after becoming Indigo League Champion, he now resides atop Mt. Silver. He is the final boss of the game and, under one popular interpretation, the hated nemesis of AJ.
----
* AntiVillain: Renowned as the brave hero that stopped Team Rocket 3 years prior. However, because he sides with the Helix, he is inherently in opposition to AJ.
** Some believe that, after his adventure, all Red wants is silence, only for someone else communing with the mob to come after him.
** Others believe that Red had somehow figured out a way to [[WellIntentionedExtremist sever the link between Twitch and the Pokémon universe]], and that the seven days were required to do this. This would have saved AJ and all future hosts from the Mob, but then [[NiceJobBreakingItHero AJ and Gator defeated him...]]
* TheBeastmaster: Red leads the most powerful Pokémon team in the entire game. Among them are a [[TheDragonSlayer Dragon Slayer]], a Prince(ss), a King, an Angel, a Messiah, and a God.
* BlackAndWhiteInsanity: According to some lore, he believed the Mob to be the ultimate evil, and therefore anyone associated with them were just as cruel even if they're stuck in the same situation as he was. To stop them, he opts to ''kill the Mob's chosen kid'', or at least [[TakingYouWithMe bring down the whole world trying.]]
* CreepyChild: Hoo boy. His quiet demeanor, EyeObscuringHat making him appear sinister, and his complete willingness to [[OmnicidalManiac destroy the TPP universe]] makes him appear this way to AJ.
* CurbStompBattle: The first two encounters with him involved Zapdos obliterating the entire team.
* DragonInChief: While the Helix is the BigBad from AJ's perspective, Red and the remaining five mons are the greater physical threat overall.
* GoMadFromTheIsolation: A possible reason for his decision to [[OmnicidalManiac end the world.]]
* GodhoodSeeker: One possible interpretation of his reason for ascending Mount Silver.
* HandicappedBadass: Some fanworks suggest that he went blind after the Mob left him.
* HeroAntagonist: Can be viewed as this, depending on how you see it. Particularly once it was revealed that his victory would prevent the Mob from advancing beyond Johto on to Hoenn.
* HeroKiller: His Archangel of Justice made very short work of Lazorgator and Brian.
* MirrorSelf: Can be seen as this for AJ. Both have a hodgepodge of Pokémon that ultimately grow into a BandOfBrothers, and both have been through hell and high water to reach their endgame. Like AJ, he wants to be rid of the Mob's stranglehold, and both resort to murder to solve their problem: Red thinks killing AJ will free him of the voices, while AJ thinks killing Red's Pokémon will free him of his.
* [[EvilCounterpart Morally Ambiguous Counterpart]]: To AJ. His favored two Pokémon were Helix, his symbol, and Bird Jesus, his loyal companion, compared to AJ's Lazorgator as his symbol and Brian as Lazor's loyal companion. Both have been tortured by their adventures, and both have been brought up to murder their sworn enemy.
* LoadBearingBoss: Defeating Lord Helix the first time caused a 7 day countdown. If AJ can't win, the world is doomed and Emerald will not happen.
* NightmareSequence: Lives through several if you believe the interpretation that the alternate games played between the main generations are Red's [[http://www.reddit.com/r/twitchplayspokemon/comments/20iv5h/reds_dream/ dreams]]. A Pokémon styled texture mod of Super Mario Land, where the mob repeatedly drives Red to fall down pits is seen as some sort of Ledge-induced PTSD. As for [[http://teehee111.deviantart.com/art/TPP-i-don-t-even-440663311?ga_submit_new=10%253A1394938996 Link's Awakening]]...
** Doubly troubling if you believe that the mob having control during these sequences means Red's not fully escaped their influence.
* OlympusMons: In Pokémon canon, Zapdos is this. In TPP's canon, Lord Helix and Bird Jesus are as well.
* OmnicidalManiac: According to the streamer, [[http://i.imgur.com/HHkGeQJ.png if AJ doesn't beat Red, Emerald will not happen]]. Lore has interpreted this as the world being destroyed if he isn't stopped.
* PreviousPlayerCharacterCameo: In-game, he serves as this.
* RogueProtagonist: Protagonist of the previous story, antagonist of this story.
* SuddenSequelHeelSyndrome: If you interpret him as a villain who will destroy the world if not stopped.
* TimedBoss: [[invoked]] The Mob has a week to defeat Red following the defeat of Lord Helix, or else ''Pokémon Emerald'' will never happen. And to make matters worse, [[DifficultySpike Democracy has been disabled]], although there are rumors of a CheatCode that can re-enable it.
* TookALevelInBadass: Red clearly hasn't been slacking off these past 3 years. The levels of his entire team are now in the 70s.
* TragicVillain: One could imagine that the voices have finally gotten to him.
* TrueFinalBoss: Like in the games, Red is the unexpected final challenge after becoming Pokémon Champion.
* WinYourFreedom: AJ hopes that killing Red's team will rid him of the Mob.
* [[WorldsStrongestMan World's Strongest Trainer]]: Has the highest level team in the game, with his old TPP team.
[[/folder]]

!AJDNNW's Team

[[folder:The Team in General]]
!!(Godslayer Army)
* BandOfBrothers: A loyal friend at your side can make all the difference when facing down ''Gods''.
* [[ContrastingSequelMainCharacter Contrasting Sequel Team]]: They have a secular military theme instead of the Gods and Kings of TPP Red.
* FireForgedFriends: Through their struggles together, they learn of each other's strengths and shortcomings, and forge an unbreakable bond between them.
* FiveManBand:
** TheLeader: Lazorgator, having picked up TheChainsOfCommanding after the Admiral died.
** TheLancer: Brian, having successfully cast aside the shadow of Bird Jesus and matured into his own bird.
** TheSmartGuy: KT, able to make the entire group immune to StatusEffects, which will NoSell a great deal of ATV and his dragon-slaying kind's attacks.
** TheBigGuy: Metal Gear: Able to tank explosions and no-selling both poison and electric attacks, while DishingOutDirt and pain in great amounts
** TheHeart: Breakfast Burrito, by no means a slouch in combat.
** TheSixthRanger: Raticate, filling the sixth spot during the Elite Four, but was lacking a useful reason to stay on the team and was eventually PutOnABus when they challenged Red.
* KillTheGod: Their goal is to defeat the champions of the Helix Fossil, and the god itself.
* PowerTrio: The story focused more on [=LazorGator=], Brian, and Espeon after getting Brian from the Daycare. The other three slots rotated for a while until KT became a regular at Dragon's Den and Solid Snake/Metal Gear joined the fray at Victory Road making a FiveManBand (see above). A the Raticate also signed on at Victory Road and stayed throughout Kanto, but was only just beginning to develop as a character before being deposited with no one being vocal about rescuing him.
** FighterMageThief: [=LazorGator=] is the Fighter, Burrito is the Mage, and Brian is the Thief.
* RagtagBunchOfMisfits: At first, they were considerably less organized and less iconic [[ToughActToFollow than TPP's Red Version]]. All the major players have [[http://i.imgur.com/GFhF5O1.png endured vocal haters that they have to prove themselves against.]]
* ShadowArchetype: Each of AJ's Pokémon can be considered as the counterpart of one of Red's Pokémon.
** Lazorgator to Lord Helix. The Water-aligned leaders of their respective teams. Helix is a universally-revered PhysicalGod, Lazorgator is a tormented regular 'mon, on a quest to rid the world of Gods.
** Brian to Bird Jesus. Bird Jesus is the [[MessianicArchetype Messiah of Helix]], Brian is TheLancer to Lazorgator. Those who meet him either praise him as the [[UnwantedFalseFaith reincarnation of Bird Jesus]] or blame him [[ToughActToFollow for being a disappointment compared to the illustrious bird]], when all Brian wants is to be himself.
** Breakfast Burrito to AA-j the Zapdos. Both had to [[TheAtoner atone]] for something in order to be accepted: AA-j was blamed for the massive carnage of Bloody Sunday, Burrito was called the scion of Flareon, the False Prophet. To redeem himself, AA-j solemnly swore that for every fallen ally, he would destroy a hundred enemies, and thus became Archangel Of Justice, [[AttackAttackAttack The Wrath]] [[BoltOfDivineRetribution Of Helix]]. Burrito took a more subtle path - while no slouch in combat, he is a peaceful soul who embodies the virtues of love and friendship.
** Katie to AATTVVV. A Dragon stands opposed to a [[TheDragonslayer Dragon Slayer]] who humiliated one of her kind - perhaps even a member of her family.
** Solid Snake to King Fonz, because they both emit an aura of pure badassery. One is a [[RoyalsWhoActuallyDoSomething great King]] chosen by Lord Helix to rule the mortal plane in his name, who draws his power from the heavens, domain of gods - specifically [[{{Lunacy}} the Moon]]. The other was just a common soldier who [[DesperatelyLookingForAPurposeInLife could not find his purpose in life]] until Lazorgator gave him one and trained him to become [[SuperSoldier extraordinary]], and he draws his power from [[DishingOutDirt the Earth]], domain of mortals.
* TrueCompanions: The team was finalized at the Elite Four and hasn't changed up til challenging Red when Raticate was deposited.
* UndyingLoyalty: To AJ and each other.

[[folder: [=AAAAAtttta=] "[=LazorGator=]"]]
!![=AAAAAtttta=] the Feraligatr ("[=LazorGator=]", "King Leer II", "Gatorage", "The Crocken" (as Croconaw), "Godslayer", "Major Gator", "[[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Major_Lazer Major Lazor]]")
[[quoteright:94:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/lazor_1152.png]]
[[caption-width-right:94:[[http://www.reddit.com/r/twitchplayspokemon/comments/20iaxx/i_made_it_anybody_want_to_use_these_sprites/ Sprite source]]]]
AJ's first and strongest Pokémon. As a Totodile it was dubbed "Lazor Gator" for its frequent use of Leer, whose Gen II animation resembled EyeBeams. AJ's starter was a frequent battler and thus quickly leveled up, but the Mob grew restless as the croc turned into an experience sponge while the rest of the team remained weaker. Frustrated by his overachieving, and remembering how the loss of Red's starter galvanized the previous team, the Mob turned against Lazor (now a Feraligatr) and tried to kill him by deliberately releasing him through the PC.

Lazor Gator narrowly survived, but [[MoralityPet Prince Omelette the Togepi]] [[KillTheCutie was caught in the crossfire]]. This, coupled with the previous death of his mentor Admiral Sentret, turned Feraligatr wrathful against the Mob, and the Helix gods they worshipped. In vengeance, he swore to climb to the top of Mt. Silver and kill the pantheon there, so no more 'Mons would be lost by the so-called will of the gods.
----
* TheAce: [=LazorGator=] has always been the highest-leveled Pokémon on AJ's team by a considerable margin. Needless to say, most of AJ's major victories are heavily reliant on this Pokémon.
** BrokenAce: According to fan lore, Togepi's release and the conflicting voices within AJ telling him to "kill[=/=]release the Gator" have started taking their toll on him. Coupled with the release of the Admiral he looked up to when he was a Totodile, this may be part of his motivation to take down the Gods of the ''Pokémon Red'' stream.
* AchillesHeel:
** Poison, which is the reason why Koga especially is so deadly.
** [[TakingYouWithMe Destiny Bond]] by Karen's Gengar doomed several runs against the Elite Four, being a move that his sheer bulk couldn't merely tank through like any other attack.
* AllOfTheOtherReindeer: Inflicted by the Mob, much like Flareon before it. The difference is that Feraligatr is despised because it's seen as too powerful and is acting as an experience sponge, meaning the other party members CantCatchUp. This eventually diminished as the rest of the party caught up, although Feraligatr still remained the highest leveled member.
* AnIcePerson: He knows the move Icy Wind, which has come in very handy against Flying types.
* AppleOfDiscord: His overleveling makes him very contentious. Arguments abound as to whether he should be released, stored in daycare, or kept. Said arguments have wasted entire days of game time.
* [[BalanceBetweenGoodAndEvil Balance Between Anarchy and Democracy]]: Has been interpreted as this, his development having been influenced positively by both.
* BigDamnHeroes: Winds up pulling this a lot - anytime one of AJ's pokémon faints and Lazor is sent out it's a fair bet that this will be the outcome.
* ContrastingSequelMainCharacter: To both Abby and Bird Jesus from WebVideo/TwitchPlaysPokemonRed.
** Abby was Red's starter, but became OvershadowedByAwesome soon into the stream and was largely underpowered. She was then unceremoniously released while the mob was trying to release Flareon, giving her the status of DecoyProtagonist. Meanwhile, Lazorgator started off and continued to be the strongest member of AJ's party, and lost his allies while the mob tried to release ''him'', solidifying his place as TheHero.
** Bird Jesus was an overleveled CrutchCharacter who swept most of the early part of the game sans a brief WeaksauceWeakness moment at Pokémon Tower, and was hailed as not just a hero, but a ''[[MessianicArchetype savior]]''. Lazor, on the flipside, has largely been derided for making his playthrough too overpowered, to the point where streamers have actively tried to get him released to spice the game up and give the rest of the party some screen time.
* CoolShades: Fanart often depicts him wearing [[ComicBook/XMen Cyclops's ruby-quartz visor]].
* CoolSword: Artwork sometimes depicts him with one, because he knows the move Cut. Most depict it as taking up the late Admiral's sword, who was the party's main Cut-user before being released, with Lazor learning it soon after.
* CrutchCharacter: He's eaten all the experience due to being the mostly heavily relied on, resulting in Lazorgator being overleveled while most of the others are barely in their teens.
* TheDeterminator: Will fight to his last HP if it means victory. His solo run against Lance's team deserves special mention. Paralyzed and bombarded with Hyper Beams and Outrages, he takes one final Hyper Beam from Aerodactyl...'''''and barely survives with only 6 HP remaining''''', using the last ounce of his strength to defeat Aerodactyl and Lance with Icy Wind.
** Similarly, the final showdown between him and Bird Jesus sees him pummeled by Bird Jesus's Sky Attack and knocked into the red at 57 HP. The next move would determine the victor, one way or another--and the Godslayer takes the win.
* DidYouJustPunchOutCthulhu: He killed Suicune, which led to a very hilarious freakout in the chat. Half the mob was thrilled and branded him Godslayer, while the other half attempted to revive the "Dock the Croc" campaign. So far more people are impressed than outraged, so he's probably not going to [[BrokeYourArmPunchingOutCthulhu break his arm]] anytime soon.
** Aerodactyl brings him to the brink of death with a Hyper Beam, but he survives and delivers the finishing blow with Icy Wind.
** And now he's beaten Lord Helix himself, though Air Jordan took the weakened Gator down.
** Happens again in the final run--the Godslayer personally takes on Lord Helix and Bird Jesus all on his own, '''AND WINS'''.
* {{Expy}}: Going by current lore, he's a super powered, [[TestosteronePoisoning Testosterone Poisoned]] warrior who aims to slay gods to avenge some fallen loved ones, with part of his quest to slay said gods involving scaling a mountain. [[VideoGame/GodOfWar It'd only be more obvious if he was red and white.]]
* EyeBeams: His Leer, which in Gen II looks like beams coming out of Totodile's eyes (well, one eye and his mouth) resulting in the nickname of "Lazorgator". Leer was eventually forgotten, and Scary Face, which has the same beam animation but with more special effects, was learned, only to eventually be replaced by Surf.
** BeamSpam: When he would use Leer or Scary Face multiple times in a row.
* FallenHero: Unlike TPP Red's best Pokémon he's not in it for the mob, he's in it for ''his'' team. Even if he has some vocal haters who have gone as far as to call for his release, [[http://i.imgur.com/Ex9ESb8.jpg he will still lead the team to victory as he always has.]]
* AFatherToHisMen: His habit of stepping in to save the team from difficult fights led to fanart portraying him this way.
* ForceAndFinesse: With his overwhelming strength and straightforward move set, Lazor is the Force to Brian's Finesse.
* FourStarBadass: The lore often portrays Lazorgator as a military commander, directing the rest of AJ's Pokémon when he's not fighting alongside them.
** TakingUpTheMantle: A role previously occupied by The Admiral.
* HeroWithBadPublicity: A large portion of the viewer base hates Lazorgator for being too overpowered like a lot of run through's starters become, compared to the previous stream where a CrutchCharacter ended up becoming the most iconic member of the party. It's gotten so bad that some players have ''actively tried to release him''.
** Now may well no longer be the case; when the Gator was accidentally boxed after AJ reached Indigo Plateau, the Mob voted overwhelmingly to save him.
* HeWhoFightsMonsters: From the most cynical perspective. Only with the destruction of the gods can he know peace.
* InnocenceLost: The [[http://kiyokon.tumblr.com/post/78734130333/my-interpretation-of-the-first-few-days-of-twitch death of The Admiral]] set the Gator on the path from loving Totodile to the cold-hearted, hateful creature he has become.
* InvincibleHero: With his immense strength, Lazorgator has managed to turn hopeless battles into victory, always being the last one standing when it counts. He has a lost a few times, but all loses were a case of WorfHadTheFlu.
* ItsUpToYou: When all others fail, Lazorgator prevails. This situation comes up often.
* KillTheGod: In a lot of fanart, his ultimate goal is to destroy Lord Helix and his chosen, the Gods of old who have forsaken his trainer and his team. He has already slain [[OlympusMons Suicune]] and the Old Amber (Lance's Aerodactyl) to prepare himself for this daunting task. One of his nicknames is not "[[NamesToRunAwayFromReallyFast Godslayer]]" for nothing. Then he slays Lord Helix himself.
* KnightInSourArmor: A bitter and tortured soul who wages war against the Gods, and all for the sake of a better tomorrow for his friends.
* LargeAndInCharge: He's the strongest and one of the biggest of AJ's Pokémon, and is popularly considered the leader.
* LegacyCharacter: After displaying a tendency to Leer repeatedly, some members of the chat proclaimed him the successor to "King Leer" (AKA Dux), the Farfetch'd from Red Version with a similar habit.
* MagneticHero: Lazorgator is popularly depicted as the one who draws new recruits to his cause.
* MakingASplash: Is Water-type.
* MeaningfulName: They say his name is AAAAATTTTA because [[http://imgur.com/IKfM1Yu his enemies never live to hear the 'ck']].
* NamesToRunAwayFromReallyFast: Most of his nicknames fit. If you encounter someone who bears the title "Godslayer" (completely unironically, as what he did to [[OlympusMons Suicune]] is proof), you '''will''' run.
* NayTheist: Lazorgator has turned his back on the gods the same they did to him.
* NeverBeHurtAgain: He's taken several [[TookALevelInBadass Levels In Badass]] in a short time. You almost wouldn't believe that this is the same Totodile who was getting slapped around by wild Sentrets in the beginning.
** Also becomes a big motivator in the emotional sense after seeing his commrades fall, and nearly being killed himself at the hands of the Mob.
* [[NeverSmileAtACrocodile Never Smile at a]] [[{{Pun}} Feraligatr]]
* NonIndicativeName: His nickname, Lazorgator, lost relevance after having forgotten the moves in question, though it has stuck for many members of the community.
* NotAllowedToGrowUp: Normally, Totodile starts evolving at level 18, yet Lazorgator had his evolution canceled '''11 times'''. [[http://imgur.com/cfr8xd9 It took an Act of Congress (read "democracy mode") to quell trolls' attempts to spam B (negated by the vote period) and allow him to evolve]]. Took significantly less time to evolve into Feraligatr, which was achieved under anarchy.
* OutOfTheInferno: Unlike Bird Jesus, Lazorgator doesn't just evade when an enemy uses Selfdestruct. [[MadeOfIron He takes the explosion head-on and barely flinches]].
* PhraseCatcher:
** Upon gaining his in-game nickname, people have started saying stuff like "Aaaaattttack", [[Manga/FistOfTheNorthStar "ATATATATATATA"]] or "[=AAAAAtttta=] boy" when something involving him happens.
** "Release the gatr!" / "Tick-tock, kill the crock!" - said by those who've deemed him too strong and wished to release him.
* PutOnABus: Deposited in the PC so that the rest of the party could be trained. This took some difficulty to do safely, as some of the mob was trying to ''release him'' in the process.
** TheBusCameBack: Retrieved no more than a few hours later by the Pro Gator faction via democracy.
*** This cycle repeated itself during the night of the 4th day.
* RageAgainstTheHeavens: Togepi's release [[http://i.imgur.com/GNaD9wy.jpg turns him into the monster he was made out to be]].
* RasputinianDeath: It took a Hyper Beam, paralysis, a Thunder, a Blizzard, and 4 Outrages just for Lance to finally bring him down.
* RedBaron: "[[DidYouJustPunchOutCthulhu Godslayer]]".
* RoaringRampageOfRevenge: Has sworn vengeance against the gods of TPP for attempting to kill him and causing his comrades' deaths in the process.
* ShellShockedVeteran: The result of releasing Togepi and his other comrades.
* SignatureMove: Leer until it was forgotten. Scary Face is an upgraded version.
** [[AbsurdlySharpBlade Cut]], to a lesser extent.
* SpotlightStealingSquad: You may notice that fan art and lore more so revolves around Lazorgator's struggle than anyone else's, including AJ's.
* TakeUpMySword: Cut, the move and HM needed to progress, was originally taught to VV, The Admiral. When the Admiral was released, the mob was without a Cut-user. Lazorgator was promptly taught Cut, picking up The Admiral's sword. [[http://imgur.com/xOusvSa something]] [[http://kiyokon.tumblr.com/post/78734130333/my-interpretation-of-the-first-few-days-of-twitch the fandom]] [[http://i.imgur.com/EPz7KLW.jpg has noticed.]]
* ThemeSong: Appropriately titled [[http://churchofthehelixchoir.bandcamp.com/track/lazor-gator "Lazor Gator"]].
** Another theme, notably [[DarkerAndEdgier darker and]] [[AutobotsRockOut grittier]], is fittingly titled [[https://soundcloud.com/vulpes_corsac/not-a-number-godslayer "Godslayer"]].
* TorturedMonster: Became so because of his comrades' deaths. As such, Lord Helix fears the Croc will become a terrible beast to unleash its fury upon the world, and so has orchestrated his own death in hopes that it will satisfy the Gator's wrath.
* UndyingLoyalty: Whilst Bird Jesus was eternally loyal to his trainer Red, Lazorgator is eternally loyal to his teammates and will fight to the last to protect them.
* UnstoppableRage: He knew the move Rage, but it was later replaced with Icy Wind out of necessity. This can be interpreted as Lazor having tempered his own rage somewhat... [[TranquilFury Or learned to channel it to devastating effects]].
* UsedToBeASweetKid: Wore a huge smile as a Totodile. Now days, not so much as a smirk.
* VillainProtagonist: Considered to be this by many given their quest is to kill the Helix and its champions.
* TheWorfEffect: If Lazorgator goes down in a fight, you KNOW that it's going to be a tough battle.
* [[WorldsStrongestMan World's Strongest Mon]]: Unquestionably, being the highest level Pokémon in the game. Doubly so, after succeeding in defeating Red's team.

AJ's first caught Pokémon. A normal pidgey hailed as the SecondComing of Bird Jersus in spite of his own wishes. Determined to become his own identity and break free from the shadow of his predecessor.
----
* BeYourself: A lot of fanart depicted his evolution to Pidgeot as this; originally filled with doubt for being in the shadow of Bird Jesus, but decides that he's fine as being just another Pidgeot.
* CombatPragmatist: He uses Sand Attack often, reducing the opponent's accuracy to the point where they can't land a hit. This tactic earned it one of its nicknames, "Private Sand-Thrower".
* ForceAndFinesse: With the evasive Fly, gimmicky Mirror Move, and instantaneous Quick Attack, Brian is the Finesse to [=LazorGator=]'s Force.
* GlobalAirship: Became the first TPP-mon to learn Fly.
* IAmNotHim: He's no messiah. He's [[IAmWhatIAm just Brian]].
* IJustWantToBeNormal: Most fan depictions of Brian depict him as struggling to emerge from the shadow cast by Bird Jesus, with his dream being to become his own person rather than act as a messiah for the group.
* TheLancer: To Lazorgator - when Gator needs aid, Brian is always there.
* LightningBruiser: Started out as a JackOfAllStats, but gradually grew into a powerhouse.
* PhraseCatcher: "Save Private Brian!" or "Save us, Private Brian!"
* PutOnABus: He was put in the Daycare with the intention of making room for Eevee.
** TheBusCameBack: Removed during the night of the 4th day at level 33.
** LookWhatICanDoNow: Gained 15 levels in the Daycare making him the second strongest to Lazorgator again and making the team a lot closer to be being balanced.
* SecondComing: Originally thought to be the SecondComing of Bird Jesus, [[http://i.imgur.com/3u7I1i8.png Brian was just an ordinary pidgey, wanting to make a difference]] in a harsh world. Now, as a Pidgeot, it's safe to say he does make a difference in battle.
* ShoutOut: His name and characterization is lifted from ''Film/MontyPythonsLifeOfBrian''.
* SignatureMove: Sand Attack, prior to being forgotten. His current signature is Fly, being the first TPP Pokémon to have ever learned it.
* TakingTheBullet: [[https://31.media.tumblr.com/cf53dfd714a0fe72a5b9184c3f75dfb0/tumblr_n2b0ckq5oT1r2cnpko1_500.png Swapped in for Katie to take an explosion]]. He was low on health at the time, so the sacrifice was understandable.
** FanPreferredCouple: Some of the mob have taken to pairing Brian and Katie together ([[http://i.imgur.com/NPcFdYn.jpg see last panel]]), which the above seems to re-affirm. It helps that once Katie evolves, they'll be the only two flying types on the core team.

[[caption-width-right:67:[[http://www.reddit.com/r/twitchplayspokemon/comments/20iaxx/i_made_it_anybody_want_to_use_these_sprites/ Sprite source]]]]
An Espeon who was originally obtained from Bill as an Eevee. Like Brian he too had to overcome the prejudice of the Mob due to hatred towards Red's Flareon from the previous run, as well as being a gift from Bill, [[HeroKiller the creator of]] [[TheDreaded the PC]]. Eventually he became more loved and accepted by the community, and took on the role of TheHeart of the team.
----
* AmbiguouslyBi: He sometimes attempts to seduce males with Attract, although it will always fail. He also resisted a Lovely Kiss from Will's Jynx. Breakfast Burrito might be AmbiguouslyGay, or maybe she just wasn't his type.
* TheCasanova[=/=]ChickMagnet: Knows the move Attract. It works great on ladies but not so much on men.
* CurbStompBattle: Thanks to his power moves Bite and Psychic, he's been able to take out all four members of the Elite Four ''by himself'' at various times.
* DidYouJustPunchOutCthulhu: Defeated both Brock's Omastar (Helix) and Kabutops (Dome).
* DudeLooksLikeALady: As an Espeon, Burrito is naturally very dainty looking. His gender often causes some initial confusion among fans.
* EmbarrassingNickname: "Burrito" came from a random suggestion in the Twitch chat, and has nothing to do with anything (aside from it being an analogy of choosing an Eeveelution is like comparing to what burrito you want to order). He later became "Breakfast Burrito" when he evolved because of Espeon's association with the Sun.
* {{Expy}}: Flirty, pansexual, TheHeart, comparisons to [[{{Series/Torchwood}} Jack Harkness]] are being made.
* FunWithAcronyms: Some of the interpretations of his nickname.
* GlassCannon: His Psychic is ridiculously powerful. On the other hand, Burrito can't take too many hits himself.
* GoodCounterpart: To Red's Flareon.
* TheHeart: Took up the role after [[TooGoodForThisSinfulEarth Prince Omelette's untimely demise]].
* ItWasAGift: From ''[[TheDreaded Bill]]'' of all people.
* KillTheGod: He is learning from Lazorgator to be a Godslayer too, and he's becoming exceedingly good at it. Case in point: during the battle with Dome Cultist Brock, it took down not a third-rate Suicune, but a bona fide Kabutops, avatar of the God of Order and rival of Lord Helix!
* LightEmUp: Burrito was taught Flash to get through dark caves, replacing Sand Attack. He was immediately hailed as "Lightbringer".
* LightIsGood: His evolution was triggered by sunlight and friendship, and happened during Operation Love, so this is how he's being interpreted.
* LightningBruiser: Is fast and has two nasty moves, the flinch-inducing Bite and the STAB-powered Psychic, letting him sweep both Will and Bruno's teams with ease.
* [[ManBitesMan Mon Bites Mon]]: Occurs frequently since Burrito's only offensive move for a long time was Bite.
** Bite was accidentally replaced by Morning Sun while in Anarchy Mode after beating Misty.
* MoralityChain: Lazorgator has been hardened by the battlefield for the sake of his team. Seeing Eevee evolve into an Espeon from the kindness and love provided to him made Lazorgator realize that in the CrapsackWorld of Johto, [[http://i.imgur.com/MWgTJR8.png some things are just worth fighting for.]]
** Post-run lore also has him serving as this to "Martyr", the Flareon from ''Red''.
* NoSell: When he was an Eevee and thus Normal-type, Silver's Haunter couldn't hurt it.
* ThePornomancer: He was accidentally taught Attract in anarchy mode. Even though it took the planned spot for Morning Sun, and is not as useful, the mob thinks it's too appropriate (considering his associations with love) to remove.
** It's also quite funny considering his trainer's noted struggles with women...
*** And now that he's learned Flash, he has combined his associations with light and his associations with... er... something else... into one move.
* ThePowerOfFriendship: The cause of his evolution.
* ThePowerOfTheSun: He was accidentally taught Morning Sun in anarchy mode which replaced Bite.
* PsychicPowers: Actually knows the move Psychic.
* RageBreakingPoint: Brock sending in ''Kabutops'' can be considered this, as the Dome is believed to be at fault for the disgrace of the Eevee line.
* RedeemingReplacement: Many believed that this Eevee was going to redeem the Flareon from Gen 1. Now he has become the beacon of hope for the team by evolving into Espeon with ThePowerOfLove in the midst of a civil war.
* SensitiveGuyAndManlyMan: The Burrito and Lazorgator relationship at its base.
* ShadowArchetype: To Red's Flareon in just about every way.
** Flareon evolved because the Fire Stone was forced upon [[SamusIsAGirl her]], whereas Burrito willingly evolved himself, powered by the bond with his Trainer.
** Flareon's presence caused the Mob to become furiously aggressive and hateful, whereas Burrito has actually made them more peaceful and compassionate, sending AJ and his team loving messages of support, something that has ''never'' happened before.
** Flareon's evolution shamed the entire Eevee line (causing many to view the Eeveelutions as evil) and embittered the Mob; Burrito's evolution in to Espeon restored honor to the Eevee line and made the Mob much more understanding and kind as a whole.
** Flareon was often considered the scion of the Dome Fossil. Burrito destroyed the avatar of the Dome with his own [[PsychicPowers mind]].

A Dragonite received as a Dratini in the Dragon's Den. She's been viewed as the avenger of Lance's Dragonite, wishing to take down ATV the Venomoth for its humiliation of her kind.
----
* AerithAndBob: Katie is joined by teammates such as [=LazorGator=] and Breakfast Burrito.
* AffectionateNickname: Her teammates like to call her "Princess."
* ArchEnemy: Venomoths... more specifically, one Venomoth - Red's famous AATTVVV, TheDragonSlayer. One of her main reasons for joining the group is the hope that she can meet AATTVVV in battle and slay him, restoring honor to her kind. She finally managed to slay the Dragon Slayer when the team fought Red, but decided to stick around to help her friends with the rest of their mission.
* EleventhHourSuperpower: Katie finally learns [[DeathOrGloryAttack Outrage]] just in time for the final battle with Red.
* FamilyHonor: Katie's main motivation is to restore the honor of the Dragon Pokémon after they were disgraced by ATV.
* IconicOutfit[=/=]TertiarySexualCharacteristics: A red bow on her tail has become consistent in fanart.
* ItWasAGift: From the Elder of the Dragon Clan.
* LeakedExperience: Was given the Exp. Share after she was obtained because she came in level 15.
* PutOnABus: Katie was deposited for a brief time after AJ first made it to the Pokémon League. She wound up missing AJ's first attempt, but was withdrawn in time for the second.
* RebelliousPrincess: Despite being royalty, she supports her friends' mission to kill the gods and kings atop Mt. Silver.
* TheSmartGuy: Has taken this slot in the Team Roster, particularly with the move Safeguard, helping to ward off the status effects that have plagued the team time and time again
* TheSquadette: The only female in AJ's RagtagBunchOfMisfits.
* SuperSpeed: Averted - could potentially have known the move Extremespeed instead of Leer at the start, but the mob didn't answer all of the Dragon Master's questions correctly so they just got a regular Dratini instead.
* TookALevelInBadass: She evolved into Dragonite on Day 11.
* YouKilledMyFather: Seeks revenge against ATV for his legendary humiliation of Lance's Dragonite from Gen 1, implied to be an older relative of hers or her father. She got a bit of revenge during the battles against Koga, who owns a Venomoth that frequently spars with her. She eventually managed to defeat ATV.

A Steelix caught in Victory Road as an Onix. In his first form he was often quickly defeated in battle, but then was given a Rare Candy given in a Democracy period during the Elite Four, allowing him to evolve. Steelix subsequently gained a ton of resistances and immunities, letting him take the role of team tank. He is the only member of AJ's team to not have an ItsPersonal motivation for confronting Red, leading to interpretation that [[BloodKnight he just likes to battle]] or [[UnfazedEveryman is merely along for the ride]].
----
* TheBigGuy: The current Strength man on the team, and easily the largest member.
** BigGuyFatalitySyndrome: He used to be a frequent target of this as an Onix.
* ButtMonkey: Fainting was the norm, not the exception for Snake while he was an Onix.
* CannonFodder: As an Onix, he went down at alarming speeds.
* DesperatelyLookingForAPurposeInLife: Unlike the others, Snake has seemingly joined AJ's cause only as a means of learning more about himself.
* {{Determinator}}: [[DesperationAttack Struggle]] is practically his SignatureMove, as he carried the team through Victory Road with Stuggle while keeping himself going with HP recovery thanks to Leftovers.
** Most evident in the final battle against Red. He takes a continuous pounding from Zapdos' Drill Peck, but endures and eventually takes it down--even though it's restored to full health ''twice''.
* DishingOutDirt: Knows Earthquake and Rock Throw.
* EleventhHourRanger: He is the last Pokémon to join AJ's party (shortly before the Elite Four), and actually becomes useful [[EleventhHourSuperpower even later]] (while trying to defeat the Elite Four). But once he does, he really pulls his weight - after Lazorgator, he was probably the most crucial character of the run, combat-wise. Notably, he was the one and only member of AJ's team able to stop Red's unstoppable [[OlympusMons Archangel]] [[HeroKiller Of Justice]] [[OlympusMons Zapdos]].
* EyepatchOfPower: Is often depicted with this.
** RuggedScar: If not an eye patch, one of his eyes will typically have a grizzly scar over it.
* HeroicResolve: At one point while fighting Red's Battery Jesus, he runs out of PP for all of his moves. Snake refuses to give up and continues to Struggle until the very end.
* HeroicSacrifice: Went down with Gengar's Destiny Bond in the final Elite Four run, protecting Gator from the same fate (which he suffered in the previous attempt) and allowing him to defeat Lance.
* HyperactiveMetabolism: Snake carries the team's Leftovers, allowing him snack and heal during battle.
* LanternJawOfJustice: His underbite is really something to behold.
* LonerTurnedFriend: Before being recruited, Snake lived a life of bitter isolation on Victory Road. He joins [=LazorGator=] just for a [[http://postimg.org/image/hbue3pzzl/ change of pace.]]
* [[MadeOfIron Made of Steel]]: Literally, since he evolved. Physical attacks do little more than tickle him, even if it's raining [[ActionBomb exploding Graveler]] on Mt.Silver. Special attacks, however, can leave decent dents.
* MeaningfulName: His name is AAJRR RRR and his mortal enemy Zapdos' name is AA-j. One interpretation is that this is Steelix saying Zapdos' name with a following growl, in a SayMyName sort of way.
* NoSell: To Koga's dismay, he's completely immune to poison.
** He was the only member of the current team who could potentially stand up to Archangel of Justice and live, since he resists two of Archangel's attacks and is outright immune to two more.
* PhraseCatcher: "[[SayMyName SNAAA]][[VideoGame/MetalGear AAAAKE!]]" When he is defeated.
** Occasionally "Nanomachines, son!" when using Leftovers to regenerate his health.
* StoneWall: Had trouble being this as an Onix, but is officially one as a Steelix. Even moreso in the final leg of the game, where he was successfully given [[HealingFactor Leftovers]].
* TookALevelInBadass: What was once perceived as useless CannonFodder immediately began wiping the floor with [[ThatOneBoss Koga's]] team right after evolving.
* WhyWontYouDie: Has been given Leftovers, which coupled with his high defenses make him near impossible to take down. Or, sticking with the VideoGame/MetalGear references: [[Videogame/MetalGearRisingRevengeance Nanomachines, son!]]

* DishingOutDirt: Rock-type
* ItWasAGift
* MusclesAreMeaningless: Was taught Strength in order to clear Ice Path. How is he able to learn that in order to push boulders is any one's question.

* ThePromise: Remember, Mania wants it back, ok?
** The Mob never fulfilled this promise; but others have after the Streamer released the final save file. As it turns out, Mania doesn't want Shuck back because it likes us too much.
* StoneWall: Of the turtling variety; he has tanked blows from Pokémon a dozen levels higher. Multiple times. Fitting, as his defense stats are actually the highest of ANY Pokémon.
** This is the main reason this level 25 is still in the party. The Mob believes that, since traded Pokémon gain twice the experience, Shuckle can quickly be grinded into a tanky Pokémon that can wear down opponents.

* ButtMonkey: Losing is close to becoming a RunningGag for A. One theory is that AJ only keeps him around as a tribute to his friend, Joey, and his top percentage Rattata.
* CannonFodder: A kind of dies a lot, eh?
* CantCatchUp: Already underleveled but denied the Exp. Share which is always on another Pokémon, Ace only gets 50% of the experience for any opponent he manages to struggle through. Tied in with MortonsFork below.
* CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass: His stint against Slowbro during the final Elite Four run showed that while he is far from strong, he can still dish out considerable damage if he has to.
** He's also managed to hold his own in battles against regular trainers during the Unit's Kanto Tour.
* TheGenericGuy: With 2 other Raticate waiting in the PC, and TPP already having a history with Raticate, A doesn't bring anything new to the table. In fact, it's {{Reconstruction}} in that his sheer genericness could be considered his struggle.
** One of the nicknames simply calls him "A Raticate".
* ImNotAHeroIm: [[http://fc00.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2014/071/8/e/tpp_crystal__only__mons_by_gicomics-d79yy14.jpg Nothing Special]].
* IronicNickname: "Ace."
* ItWasAGift: Thought by some to be Joey's top percentage Rattata, [[http://i.imgur.com/zf5p7Fq.png given to AJ to help him on his journey]].
* MortonsFork: Ace can either struggle to overcome a stronger foe in the hopes of getting half the EXP at the risk of fainting, or he can switch out and get only 25%.
* OneLetterName: A.
* PutOnABus: Deposited into the PC after a couple of the mob's attempts against Red.
* RecurringElement: Currently the fourth member of the Rattata-Raticate line to play a major role in ''WebVideo/TwitchPlaysPokemon''.
** He was also the first of many Pokémon (plus two player characters) to share his name.
* SoLastSeason: Level-wise, this guy is as strong as Red's Venomoth ATV, which managed to kill a dragon. Still, he gets tossed around more than often.
* ShooOutTheClowns: Gets deposited after the first couple attempts against Red and is not present during the final confrontation.
* [[YankTheDogsChain Yank the Rat's Chain]]: Is finally given the Exp. Share before the eighth gym and it looks like he might get a chance to catch up to the rest of the party. Not even a day later, that gets replaced with a Metal Coat and Ace gets unceremoniously dumped in the PC.

!Released Team Members

[[folder: VV "The Admiral"]]
!!VV the Sentret, formerly [=ADiiiiihhh=] ("The Admiral", "Adidas", "Addy", "[[Film/VForVendetta Vendetta]]", "Admiral Vivi")
AJ's second caught Pokémon. Sentrets had been a surprisingly tough enemy for AJ's team despite being mere {{Com Mon}}s, as under the Admiral's leader they were honed to be a disciplined army. Eventually, though, he called a truce with the team and joined their ranks, being the Cut user and mentor to AJ's young Totodile. Sadly his stay with the team was short, as he became the Crystal run's first victim of the PC.
----
* ArtisticLicenseMilitary: Admiral is a navy rank (coming from the Arabic word ''amir-al-baHr'' أمير البحر, "commander of the sea"), but this admiral led an army.
* TheBigGuy: Still flexes his muscles when viewed.
* CoolSword: Depicted with one, due to him knowing the move Cut. After his release [=LazorGator=] learned Cut, thus passing the sword down to him.
* DroppedABridgeOnHim: Was unceremoniously released while AJ was messing with the PC.
* HatOfAuthority: Often drawn wearing a peaked cap due to being an admiral.
* MentorOccupationalHazard: He tutored young Lazor for what little time he spent with him, and wound up being the first to be released.
* MexicanStandoff: Got into one with a Kakuna using Harden while it continued to Defense Curl. It then won the fight with 1 HP remaining
* MookFaceTurn: Used to be a Wild Sentret.
** HeelFaceDoorSlam: VV is ultimately released, only spending a day at AJ's side.
* KilledOffForReal
* TheMentor: Manages to fit into this trope!
** Started off as a Wild Death Sentret. (Stronger than the Hero)
** Is grinded against and eventually captured. (Trains the Hero and joins him)
** Was released before even the 4th gym. (Dies early on)
** Was one of the key characters in establishing the Military theme. (Legacy lives on after death)
** Lore has begun to show him as this to Lazor Gator.
* PostHumousCharacter: Stayed a major part of the lore despite dying early on, and set the military theme of the whole story.
* RankScalesWithAsskicking: The leader of all the Sentret troops certainly could hold his own in a fight.
* RecurringElement: Of ''WebVideo/TwitchPlaysPokemonRed'''s Jay Leno, since he had little impact on the playthrough, yet caught the hearts of the fanbase. Interestingly enough, [[Characters/PokemonGenerationIIFamilies Sentret]] is [[RecurringElement the Johto equivalent]] of [[Characters/PokemonGenerationIBulbasaurToTentacruel Rattata]].
* SacrificialLamb: The first of AJ's Pokémon to be released. A grim reminder of what the PC is capable of.
* TheyCallMeMisterTibbs: Even when people don't refer to Sentret as "The Admiral", they still acknowledge its title. Ex. Admiral Adidas, Admiral Addy, etc.
[[/folder]]

[[folder: :n "Colonel N."]]
!!:n the Drowzee ("Colonel", "Colonel N", "Colinn", "[[VideoGame/PokemonBlackAndWhite N]]")
A Drowzee captured from Route 35.
----
* {{Emoticon}}: Its nickname is an emoticon face.
* {{Foil}}: Considered by a few to be this to Red's Keeper, given this playthrough's SpiritualAntithesis. Later proven true when it became the second casualty of the PC.
* KilledOffForReal
* PsychicPowers: A Psychic-type.
* PutOnABus: Was accidentally stored in the PC.
** BusCrash: Released while attempting to retrieve Lazorgator.
* RedShirt: No one was really concerned about his death, it was just yet another reminder that the PC is not safe.
[[/folder]]

[[folder: Togepi "Lord/Prince Omelette"]]
!!Togepi ("Prince Omelette", "Lord Omelette")
A Pokémon obtained as an egg from Mr. Pokémon. Some members of the Mob quickly latched onto as a god.
----
* ActualPacifist: When it hatched, it literally knew no damage dealing moves, only moves to weaken the opponent's attack.
** TookALevelInBadass: It since learned Metronome and has conjured up some very powerful moves.
* BadassAdorable: Mostly manages to do this by using Metronome to pull out incredible moves in a pinch, be it [[WaveMotionGun Hyper Beam]], [[FreezeRay Ice Beam]], or Ho-Oh's own ''[[{{Hellfire}} Sacred Fire]]''.
* BlindedByTheLight: Was taught Flash.
* CompanionCube: As an egg.
* CynicismCatalyst: Prince Omelette's release is what set AJ and his team on the path of vengeance.
* DavidVersusGoliath: Pulls off climactic victories and near-victories despite his level disadvantage. In a literal sense, Togepi is 30cm tall, and often matched against Mons five or more times his size.
* TheHeart: Despite not being used in battle much, he was one of the most beloved members of the party. His release is considered the moment where Lazorgator swore vengeance against the gods for trying to kill him.
* HeroicSacrifice: One interpretation of his death was that he gave up his own life in exchange for Lazor Gator's survival.
* KillTheCutie: Only a baby, and one of the most beloved on the team, yet was released during the schism over Lazor Gator.
%%* KilledOffForReal
* MundaneAfterlife: The Google Maps Pokémon Challenge on April Fool's Day 2014 depicted a Togepi arriving at the gates of [[Ride/DisneyThemeParks Walt Disney World]]. Since the game also referenced Bird Jesus, some have suggested that this is the Prince being given a nice place to go after his release.
* MurderByMistake: Released accidentally in the mob's attempt to take out Lazor Gator.
* RecurringElement: To the Helix Fossil, according to some.
* PintSizedPowerhouse: Thanks to Metronome, it can pull off [[EnergyWeapon Hyper Beams]] and [[DishingOutDirt Ancient Power]] like nobody's business.
** Other great early examples of Metronomes awesomeness include landing a freezing Ice Beam right after a Leech Seed (allowing it to suck the life from/outlast a stonewalling, and by then struggling, Gastly) and landing a 5 hit Fury Attack that took away half the opponents health (the other half being eaten up by the aforementioned Hyper Beam.) Togepi makes for a great Scrambled Omelette!
** Prince Omelette pulled it off yet again against Morty's Haunter, using [[PlayingWithFire Sacred]] [[SignatureMove Fire]] of all things. It may have fainted moments later, but it didn't go down without unleashing Ho-oh's signature move and burning Haunter.
* PhraseCatcher: "[[{{Theatre/Hamlet}} Goodnight, sweet Prince]]," whenever he faints.
** Now HarsherInHindsight after his release.
* PutOnABus: Given to Professor Elm as an egg.
** TheBusCameBack: Given back to AJ after he defeated Falkner.
** BusCrash: He was released during yet another war at the PC between those who want to keep Lazor Gator and those who want to release him.
* RandomEffectSpell: It knows Metronome.
* ShootTheShaggyDog: Elm had such high hopes for Prince Omelette.
%%* SurprisinglySuddenDeath
* SuperToughness: Knows Charm, which lowers the opponent's Attack by half with each use. Thanks to this he has endured hits that would have otherwise knocked him out in short order, and buying him enough time to let loose Metronome-induced devastating attacks.
* TooGoodForThisSinfulEarth: A common interpretation.
* WhamEpisode: In hindsight, Prince Omelette’s release was what catalysed the transformation of TPP Crystal's lore into the DarkerAndEdgier "Kill the Gods" theme that would pervade the run.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Wooper "Wooper Goldberg"]]
!!Wooper ("[[Creator/WhoopiGoldberg Wooper Goldberg]]", "Burger King" "Super Whooper")
AJ's fourth caught Pokémon and sixth party member.
----
* DishingOutDirt: Its secondary type is Ground.
* GenderBlenderName: Despite being a male, he is named after Creator/WhoopiGoldberg.
* KilledOffForReal
* MakingASplash: Is a Water-type.
* NoCelebritiesWereHarmed: He is named after Creator/WhoopiGoldberg.
* PutOnABus: Is currently stuck in the PC.
** TheBusCameBack: Was brought back in exchange for the Wrestler.
*** BusCrash: Released as the Mob desperately tried to figure out why they couldn't box Laser Gator at the Daycare.
[[/folder]]

!Others

[[folder:Pokégear Trainers]]
Trainers who were registered AJ's Pokégear. They call AJ periodically, although they rarely have anything useful to say.
!!Tropes that apply to all Pokégear Trainers
* CantStandThemCantLiveWithoutThem: Their calls might get on AJ's nerves, but if he accidentally deletes any of his friends' numbers you'd be sure to see him get it back.
* TheCoup: Calls completely halt Democracy's movement for a good minute until the lag picks up. Anarchists will gleefully bring up this fact as an excuse to spam anarchy and take over, regardless of the most convenient input method at the time.
* DefeatMeansFriendship: All of them wanted to befriend AJ after being defeated.
* KindaBusyHere: The random phone calls rarely do anything more than slow down the progression of the game.
* LivingEmotionalCrutch: Their phone calls grant AJ a temporary reprieve from the voices of the Mob. The ridiculous frequency of the calls is likely from [[YouAreNotAlone them trying to help]].
* MuggleBestFriend: They don't have ultra-powerful Pokémon or have fantastic adventures or stories, but they will stick by their buddy AJ no matter what.
* TheSmurfettePrinciple: Cooltrainer Reena who is currently the only girl AJ has given his phone number to, since he CannotTalkToWomen.
* [[ThoseTwoGuys Those Six Guys]]
* UnwantedHarem: One way to interpret them.
* VoiceWithAnInternetConnection: Or phone connection, to be precise.

!!Youngster Joey
-> ''"It's like my RATTATA is in the top percentage of RATTATA!"''

A Youngster who has AJ's phone number. He was one of the first trainers AJ battles and defeats. He trains a "top percentage" Rattata, whatever that means.
----
* BreakoutCharacter: Who'd have thought that a kid from Route 30 would go on to become the main character of [[VideoGame/{{Telefang}} his own game]]?
* BreakUpMakeUpScenario: AJ accidentally deleting Joey's phone number is interpreted by some to be them having a falling out, while their subsequent rematch is seen as reconciling.
* TheBusCameBack: Though his calls have been a thing throughout the whole story, his few major appearances in person were the initial battle with him, the move to regain his number after accidentally deleting it, and a much later [[CurbStompBattle rematch]]. Finally, AJ visited him after beating Red.
** He (or another youngster with the same name as him) also made an appearance during ''Characters/TwitchPlaysPokemonFireRed'', this time with a team of Poochyena.
* CallOnMe: When AJ is lost or bumbling about, the mob always suggests calling him for advice or directions.
* ADayInTheLimelight: Many proclaim the ''{{Videogame/Telefang}}'' games are this for him.
* FriendlyRival: He and AJ have battled a couple of times, though Joey has never won. The two remain good friends.
* HeroOfAnotherStory: Some in the Mob has decided that the [[{{Interquel}} current temporary playthrough]] of [[VideoGame/{{Telefang}} "Pokemon Diamond"]] is Joey's origin story. Others see it as the result of [[http://i.imgur.com/uVs4aZ8.jpg little mushrooms]].
* KindaBusyHere: [[InvertedTrope Pulls one on AJ]] whenever he calls him. He usually claims he's finding new strategies for him and his Rattata to use.
* LoveInterests: For AJ... maybe.
* OnlyFriend: Always calling to talk to AJ and asking what he's up to. The kid kinda grows on ya.
* OriginsEpisode: [[{{VideoGame/Telefang}} "Pokemon Diamond"]] has already been canonized by some as one, minutes into the game.
* PerverseSexualLust: The mob is ''very'' blatant when it comes to what they want to do to Joey.
---> "༼ つ ◕_◕ ༽つ CALL JOEY AND TALK DIRTY TO HIM! ༼ つ ◕_◕ ༽つ"
---> "GUYS WE NEED TO BANG JOEY"
* PhraseCatcher:
** "Call Joey!"
*** "WE HAVE TO CALL JOEY TO ACTIVATE DEMOCRACY"
*** "(ง •̀_•́)ง MARRY JOEY OR RIOT (ง •̀_•́)ง"
* PunnyName: A "joey" is a term for a young kangaroo, wallaby or possum. He's a kid.
* ShamelessSelfPromoter: He's a nice kid, but he just won't shut up about his damn Rattata.
* UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom: Joey makes phone calls on the hour, which is when Democracy takes effect. Because of this, attempts to use Democracy sometimes fail because of him.
* VitriolicBestBuds: AJ may not stand Joey's calls sometimes, and Joey may not stand AJ's at times either, but he still remains AJ's closest friend.

!!Bug Catcher Wade
-> ''"It's me, WADE. Were you awake?"''

A Bug Catcher. He was one of the first trainers AJ battles and defeats. He enjoys telling AJ about the growth of his Caterpie.
----
* BugCatching: It's all in the name.
* InnocentlyInsensitive: He calls shortly after the Admiral was released to ask AJ how his Pokémon are doing.
* KindaBusyHere: His phone calls have particularly awful timing. He has a habit of calling while the mob is dealing with Democracy Mode, interrupting whatever they were doing.
* StalkerWithACrush: He calls frequently to tell AJ that he has [[Main/LoveLetterLunacy a gift for him]]. He also asks him if he can pick it up personally at Route 31.
* RecurringElement: "GUYS WE NEED TO MILK WHITNEY" seems to have shifted to "[[BreadEggsBreadedEggs GUYS WE NEED TO MILK WADE]]" after his most recent call outside of Slowpoke Well.
** PerverseSexualLust: How exactly do you "milk" Wade, anyhow?

!!School Kid Alan
-> ''"Hello! It's me, Alan!"''

A School Kid that traded phone numbers with AJ. He sometimes calls to give hints to AJ, and at other times he speaks about his Tangela...
----
* CheerfulChild
* CombatTentacles: His Tangela is his favored Pokémon.
* HintSystem: Alan can serve as this sometimes. Looks like he's learning more than training at school.
* TheInsomniac: Calls at times when he should be asleep.
* ShouldntWeBeInSchoolRightNow: His phone calls come at times when he ''really'' should be.

!!Camper Todd
-> ''"You must be feeling real better, huh?"''

A Camper, also with AJ's phone number.
----
* AccidentalHero: Todd called once while AJ was maniacally pressing buttons on the PC (the mob screaming out in horror all the while), causing AJ to come to his senses and skedaddle without any loss of life.
--> I've never been so relieved to have a phonecall. '''[[http://www.reddit.com/user/onemanandhishat onemanandhishat]]'''
* BigDamnHeroes: His phone call saved AJ from the PC.
* SexIsViolence: Called AJ about challenging him to a fight to show off "[[UnusualEuphemism technique]]".

!!Juggler Irwin
-> ''"AJDNNW, you there? It's your sidekick, IRWIN."''

An aspiring juggler who AJ misguidedly gives his phone number. His balls dropped after AJ defeated him.
----
* AbhorrentAdmirer: He's quite the fan of AJ and his adventures. While his character class [[http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/c/c7/Juggler_Sugimori.png isn't necessarily bad-looking,]] the Mob tends to be annoyed by his frequent calls. He also has a bizarre habit of apparently following AJ everywhere he goes, just a few steps behind him.
* AlmightyJanitor: AJ was actually defeated by Irwin during their first encounter.
* TheFriendNobodyLikes: Of all AJ's "connections," the mob loves to hate Irwin.
* SideKick: Claims to be this to AJ. [[ThePiratesWhoDontDoAnything He doesn't do much side-kicking, though.]]
* StalkerWithACrush: He always knows what's up with AJ, no matter where he is. In one case, he watches from a gym window to see how AJ's battle went.

!!Cooltrainer Reena
-> ''"Maybe if I train with you, I might get stronger!"''

A Cooltrainer who gets AJ's number as a promise to be training partners with him.
----
* EliteMook: Her class is the equivalent to the Ace Trainers of later generations.
* ThePromise: Gets AJ's phone number as a promise to get stronger together.
* TheSmurfettePrinciple: Currently the only girl AJ has given his phone number to, since he CannotTalkToWomen.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Team Rocket]]
Splintered after Giovanni's downfall, Team Rocket tries to contact their missing leader and bring him back to lead them. Thanks to AJ, they fail.
----
* GoldfishPoopGang: Without their boss, the Rockets typically pose very little threat to AJ.
* {{Hypocrite}}: One Grunt chastised AJ for being a thief after he threw a Pokéball at their Rattata.
* TheRemnant: Basically what Team Rocket has been reduced to after 3 years. And then there's that lone grunt in Kanto.
* YouNoTakeCandle: A Grunt in Kanto who has stolen a valuable part from the Power Plant speaks in this manner.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Gym Leaders]]
!!Tropes applied to all:
* {{The Dreaded}}: Once again, ALMOST all of them.

!!Falkner

The Violet City Gym Leader, specializing in Flying-type Pokémon.
----
* AncientTradition: It is widely believed that he and possibly the other denizens of Violet City, including the Sages of Sprout Tower, are a part of a secret order that follows the legends of the Helix and the Dome.

!!Whitney
-> ''"GUYS WE NEED TO MILK WHITNEY"''

The Goldenrod City Gym Leader. Since the beginning of Twitch Plays Pokémon Crystal, a portion of the mob gained an odd obsession with 'milking' her, similar to their obsession with Misty in the first game.
----
* TheDreaded: Averted. Despite being ThatOneBoss for normal players, after beating AJ once, on the second try she went down quite quickly without much effort on the mobs part.
* PerverseSexualLust: What exactly does milking her entail?
* RecurringElement: Fills the "GUYS WE NEED TO X Y" role ''WebVideo/TwitchPlaysPokemonRed'''s Misty started.

!!Morty

The Ecruteak City Gym Leader. Both he and his gym represent some of the mob's biggest weaknesses.
----
* TheDreaded: Since the beginning of TTP Crystal, people have brought up how the precise steps needed to navigate the gym would be nigh impossible without Democracy, not to mention the mobs traditional weakness to ghost types.
* DreamStealer: His Gengar's signature move. And indeed it stole both Lazorgator and TPP's hopes and dreams. ''Several times.''
* TacticalSuicideBoss: Switching Pokémon constantly caused several of Morty's monsters to KO themselves from Curse abuse.

!!Misty
-> ''"GUYS WE NEED TO BEAT MISTY"''

The Cerulean City Gym Leader returns in Gen 2, as does the Mob's obsession with beating her. Is not fond of having her dates interrupted.
----
* BrickJoke: In the [[WebVideo/TwitchPlaysPokemonRed previous run]], she was beaten early on in the game and the mob gained an obsession with beating her again throughout the lategame. One playthrough later and the mob finally gets to beat Misty.
* TheBusCameBack: Returning from ''Pokémon Red''.

!!Brock

The Pewter City Gym Leader, specializing in Rock-type Pokémon.
----
* ConMan: One interpretation is that the avatars of Helix and Dome he commands are [[http://imgur.com/hWaHQPd nothing more than transformed Dittos]].
** Could also be interpreted as only Omastar being a Ditto while Kabutops being legit.
*** Or Omastar being a construct created by the Dome Fossil to sow deceit in the mind of AJ.
* DealWithTheDevil: He has made a contract with the Dome and revived it into the mortal realm in its true form of Kabutops.
* UnwittingPawn: To the Dome Fossil, and likely the Helix Fossil.

!!Blue

The former Champion of the Pokémon League whose glory was snatched away almost as quickly as it came when Red defeated him and became the new Champion. 3 years later, he is the Gym Leader of Viridian City, now that Giovanni has left.
----
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Not as mean-spirited as he was 3 years ago, but there are still some shades of it left.
* ThrowTheDogABone: Although he lost the Champion position to Red, his skill was recognized enough that he became the Viridian City Gym Leader after Giovanni left.
* TookALevelInKindness: Has mellowed out quite a bit in the last 3 years.
[[/folder]]

[[folder: Wild Sentret]]
!!Wild Sentret

A type of Pokémon that became infamous during the Mob's struggle on Route 29, due to the number of times they managed to knock out Totodile.
----
* AdorableEvilMinions: They look so cute, but scratch so hard!
* TheBrute: Because Sentret's sprite looks like it is flexing its muscles, people have regarded it as this.
* TheDreaded: Has caused AJDNNW to white out on multiple occasions.
* KillerRabbit: Usually TheGoomba if anything during normal gameplay. In early TPP, they're a nightmare.
* [[WhyDidItHaveToBeSnakes Why Did It Have to Be Sentrets]]: 70 levels later the Mob still has a fear of these things. They sent their level 72 Lazor Gator out against one and immediately ran in fear.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:The Legendary Doge]]
[[quoteright:300:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/legendary_doge_5541.png]]

A trio of Legendary Pokémon heralded as gods in Ecruteak City, and awakened by AJ when he fell into the basement of the Burned Tower. This, naturally, makes them a target of interest in terms of either capturing or killing them.

!!Suicune

The Legendary Doge of Water, representing the North Wind. Upon his awakening, he takes an interest in AJ and his Pokémon. After being encountered several times, and after AJ has collected all 8 badges, Suicune appeared with his brethren at the Tin Tower. While the other two flee, Suicune deemed AJ a worthy opponent, and challenged him to battle.
----
* AmbiguousSituation: Fleeing from Suicune's battle is impossible, so AJ's only option was to either capture it, or kill it. One interpretation could be that it was giving AJ one last chance to turn away from his quest for vengeance.
* KilledOffForReal: Meets his end at the hands of Lazorgator, who trapped him in a Whirlpool prison before executing him with Surf.
* MakingASplash: Represents the element of water in the Doge Trio.
* StrikeMeDownWithAllOfYourHatred: Unlike his doge brethren, Suicune stays to fight AJ despite knowing full well AJ's intentions and what power backs him.
* {{Troll}}: Him showing up in plain sight and then running away before AJ can even fight him has annoyed the Mob a lot, making Suicune appear as one.
* WorthyOpponent: Sees AJ and his team as this.

!!Raikou and Entei

The Legendary Doges of Lightning and Fire. AJ has yet to encounter them, but he will soon find that capturing or killing them will not be an easy task, as they flee on sight. When they are prevented from fleeing, their Roars are loud enough to strike fear into the hearts of even the strongest-willed Pokémon, forcing them to retreat.
----
* CowardlyBoss: They '''will''' run away as soon as they are encountered.
* PlayingWithFire: Entei
* ScrewThisImOuttaHere: AJ never encountered them again while the Mob was in his head, suggesting the remaining two Doge knew it was better to run and stay alive than face off against this team on a god-slaying quest.
* ShockAndAwe: Raikou.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:The Guardians of the Sea and Sky]]

!!Lugia

Hidden deep within the Whirl Islands lies Lugia, the guardian of the seas. It will appear only after AJ defeats the Elite Four.
----
* MakingASplash: Represents water and can even learn Water-type moves, yet its typing is [=Psychic/Flying=].
* MysteriousWatcher: Though he has not made an appearance yet, some portions of the Mob know of his existence, and know that he is observing the party using his psychic abilities.
* PsychicPowers: Is part Psychic-type, the other being Flying.
* TheUnfought: Ultimately, Lugia remains beneath AJ's notice due to his focus on defeating Red.

!!Ho-Oh

High atop Tin Tower lies Ho-Oh, the guardian of the skies. It is said it will only appear to a trainer who is truly worthy, after AJ has defeated the Elite Four. Unfortunately, AJ failed to meet certain conditions, and was judged as unworthy.
----
* KilledOffForReal: One interpretation is that the Doge are linked to his life force, and Suicune's death killed him as well.
* OnlyThePureOfHeart: One of the requirements was for AJ to ''capture'' all three Legendary Doge. Unfortunately, AJ killed Suicune out of dark desires, automatically failing him.
* PlayingWithFire

[[/folder]]

[[folder:Old Man With Abra]]
An old man at the Indigo Plateau Pokémon Center who offers to teleport AJ home with his Abra. Is considered one of the most dangerous [=NPCs=] in the game.
----
* TheDreaded: He sends AJ back to New Bark Town, forcing him to travel all the way through Victory Road again.
* FinaglesLaw: If there is a man who can teleport AJ back to New Bark Town, setting the Mob several steps back, you can bet we'll find a way to talk to him.
* PsychicPowers: His Abra is a psychic Pokémon.
* SuspiciousVideoGameGenerosity: A guy who can teleport you back to your house in case you don't feel like challenging the Elite Four? That might be helpful ''IF'' this weren't TPP.
[[/folder]]

[[folder: Kris]]
!!Kris ("The Girl Who Never Was")

After beating the Elite Four, the Mob [[ResetButton accidentally chose to start a new game]]. A new female character was created for a short time before the game was reset to its previous save state, thus creating the legend of 'The Girl Who Never Was'.

----
* AlternateUniverse: One theory is that an alternate universe now exists where Kris was chosen by the voices, not AJ.
* [[invoked]]AuthorsSavingThrow: The Admin intervened to cancel the game's reset, either erasing her existence or saving her from becoming another victim from the Mob.
* ContinuityReboot: Had the Streamer not intervened before we saved or the bot re-wrote the save state.
* {{Foreshadowing}}: A new girl protagonist is created then suddenly wiped out of existence. Seems like an early warning of what would occur '''seven times''' at the very beginning of ''Twitch Plays Pokémon Emerald''.
* [[spoiler:GenderReveal:]] [[http://youtu.be/jVQW-hT40ws?t=23s This video]] reveals that Kris was [[spoiler:a boy the whole time]]. It may have gone unnoticed mainly due to a frame skip on lower quality streams and the quick movement of the cursor.
* HeroOfAnotherStory: We'll likely never know what happened to her or what her journey would have been like.
* RetGone: If one takes the interpretation that the reset created her and its subsequent reset erased her, hence her nickname "The Girl Who Never Was".
