[[folder: Humans (main)]]
!!Noah Maxwell
The main character and AudienceSurrogate, Noah uploads his recordings of his last days with his cousin Milo Asher before his apparent suicide in 2010. Upon noticing the Slender Man in the videos, Noah becomes the target for the monster and his minions, particularly the Observer, recording the encounters and the [[ApocalypticLog mysterious events surrounding his life]]. [[ClusterFBomb He has a tendency to swear a lot when under pressure]].

* TheAloner: Justified and deconstructed. Noah has lived in his parent's rather large summer home since 2008. While he claims he does this to keep his family and friends safe from Slender Man, Season 2 shows that living alone ultimately takes a toll on his mortal sanity.
* ApocalypticLog: His video project, initially meant to be focusing on the twelve tribes of Israel, turns into this.
* [[spoiler: AxCrazy: Seems to become this in the second part of "Thanksgiving Day Footage" under the influence of the Observer. Sarah finds him in a daze, covered in blood and wielding a knife. It is later revealed he in fact murdered Sarah's friend Kat.]]
** LaughingMad:
* BadassNormal: Willing to take on Slender Man with a pistol. But he is smart enough to leg it when Slender Man brings out the tentacles.
* BeardOfSorrow: Grows one in the days before his 21st birthday, and between the events of Bridge to Nowhere and Fortunes.
* BloodFromTheMouth: In the "November 11th" video, and again in "Pitfall."
* [[spoiler: TheChosenOne / ItSucksToBeTheChosenOne: Noah was marked at birth (perhaps even ''earlier'') to become an important member of the Collective.]]
* ClusterFBomb / PrecisionFStrike: Noah in a nutshell.
* CosmicPlaything: The Collective just ''loves'' to fuck with him.
* [[spoiler: DeathSeeker: Seemed to be the case after "Catharsis", but after finding [[LivingMacguffin Milo's]] [[MementoMacguffin journal]] he seems determined to continue. Though no longer actively seeking, in "Pitfall" after [[FourEyesZeroSoul The Observer]] pushes him off the observation tower and he falls for a while, after screaming in terror for the first half, he screams '''"THIS IS IT!! I'M FUCKIN' DEAD!! I'M ''FREE!!''"''' with obvious glee in his voice. [[YankTheDogsChain Then he hits the ground, badly hurt, but still alive.]]]]
* {{Determinator}}: Noah tries to keep this up for most of his videos, but falls apart ''completely'' by the time of the Cartharsis video.
* DespairEventHorizon: The Catharsis video has him willing to accept his fate and be taken by the Observer.
** [[spoiler: Being saved by Firebrand seems to have given him new incentive to live, and he is back to his old determined self--albeit rather shell-shocked.]]
* DidYouJustFlipOffCthulhu: Does this to both Slender Man and the Observer.
** DidYouJustPunchOutCthulhu: He also tries to ''shoot'' the Slender Man. ([[BrokeYourArmPunchingOutCthulhu It doesn't work]], of course; but he gets points just for ''trying''.)
* DistressedDude: The Collective has a tendency to snatch him in the earlier videos and then release after screwing with his mind after varying amount of time, no matter how much he resists. [[spoiler: He has been avoiding this lately though thanks to the help of Firebrand]].
* [[spoiler: DoomedByCanon: It seems Noah is destined to become Firebrand at some point in the future.]]
* FriendsRentControl: Lives in a large house with a pool all by himself. Though it is actually a summer house owned by his parents.
* HellHotel: Ends up in one (in the aptly named "Halloween Hotel" video and November 11th), where he is attacked by [[spoiler: the Observer and the Slender Man.]]
* HeroicBSOD: During the run-up to his birthday...and when realizes he [[spoiler: killed Kat.]]
* HorrorDoesntSettleForSimpleTuesday: [[spoiler: The Observer plans to turn Noah into a member of the Collective on his birthday, November 11th. Firebrand puts a stop to this, fortunately.]]
* InMemoriam: The first video Noah posts is in memory of Milo. After that, the channel quickly veers into the horrific.
* [[spoiler: TheKillerInMe: Noah murdered Kat, possibly while under the influence of the Observer.]]
* MindScrew: Happens to him [[{{Understatement}} a LOT]].
* RecapEpisode: The "Several Months of Hell" video.
* SanitySlippage: In the run-up to his 21st birthday, Noah becomes more and more uneasy and emotional.
** In fact, the series ''as a whole'' can be seen as a one for Noah.
* SeinfeldianConversation: Often has these with other characters, particularly during the early "Milo" videos.
* ShirtlessScene: Has an unpleasant FanDisservice scene in the November 11th video after the Observer draws and writes on his chest.
* SirSwearsalot: He gets out the expletives when he's scared. He's scared ''a lot.''
* SlasherSmile: [[spoiler: Pulls off a rather impressive one during in the second part of the Thanksgiving Day footage.]]
* TookALevelInJerkass: After "Bridge to Nowhere" Noah begins posting and interacting with fans less and less, and becomes more unhinged and angry. It gets so bad that when StanFrederick offers him help in two videos, he angrily insults him both over the phone, and at his front door.
* UnexpectedInheritance: [[spoiler: Firebrand and Mr. Scars deliver a briefcase to Noah, containing several of Milo's belongings. It also doubles as a BriefcaseFullOfMoney.]]
* UnreliableNarrator: [[EpilepticTrees Perhaps]].

!!Milo Asher
Noah's cousin and close friend, Milo was haunted by the Slender Man during the time he visited Noah in 2008. He [[DrivenToSuicide committed suicide]] in 2010, and Noah's inspection of the video recordings he made in 2008 reveal that the Slender Man may have had an influence on the event of Milo's death.

* [[spoiler: BackFromTheDead: "Extraordinary Circumstances" confirms that he's been resurrected as the Collective member Mr. Scars.]]
* BungledSuicide: Although Milo is able to successfully end his life by slashing his wrists and slitting his throat, he doesn't actually ''stay'' dead: his body ends up vanishing from the morgue, and he is later resurrected as Mr. Scars in Milo's Tape.
* DrivenToSuicide: And the Observer claims that [[spoiler: he helped]].
* EasyAmnesia: When Milo discovers his journal in 2003, he notes that he has little to no memory of any of the entries he wrote as a child from 1995-97. He blames it on the pills he takes, but it could also be the work of the Collective.
* FromTheMouthsOfBabes: Milo has been using cursewords openly since the age of seven. Although some points are justified (i.e: when he describes how [[KidsAreCruel Jeremy]] calls him a shithead), it becomes extremely jarring when he calls his teacher both an asshole and a bastard, and when he tells Jeremy to go fuck himself.
* HeterosexualLifePartners: Noah considers Milo the closest thing he had to a brother.
** Also appeared to be this with [[BlackBestFriend Kevin]] during his early childhood.
* HiddenInPlainSight: The Slender Man around Milo.
* KidsAreCruel: During Milo's childhood, he opens up to a kid named Jeremy about seeing Slender Man. Immediately after this happens, Jeremy tells his other classmates who relentlessly taunt, bully, and humilate him for the rest of his life as a result.
* KindHeartedCatLover: Received a kitten named Oscar from his Aunt Sharon, who he comes to love dearly. After both Milo and Oscar die, the latter's ashes are buried in the place of Milo's actual body.
* PosthumousCharacter: [[BackFromTheDead At first]].
* RedHerring: [[spoiler: It was implied that he was the host for Firebrand. Turns out Firebrand is in fact a future or alternate version of Noah.]]
* SelfHarm: According to Noah, he was a cutter. We see it up close in Milo's Tape, where he slashes his wrists and even ''slices his own throat open'' in an attempt to kill himself. [[BackFromTheDead It doesn't work]].
* UnwantedRevival: The drastic measures he takes to commit suicide ultimately ends in failure, as he ends up coming back to life thanks to the Administrator.
* WeirdnessMagnet: Let's see: [[spoiler:mother belonged a [[WebVideo/DarkHarvest Slendy-worshipping cult]]? Check. Father murdered? Check. Stalked by the Slender Man throughout his life? Check. Received treatment from [[WebVideo/EverymanHYBRID Dr. Corenthal]]? Check. Targeted (and possibly driven to suicide) by the Collective? Check and mate.]]

!!Kevin Haas
A close friend of Milo Asher's in his childhood, and is friends with Noah Maxwell. Despite appearing very little in the series, he's just as involved in the Collective's antics as Noah is. [[spoiler: Mainly because he's the Observer.]]
* BlackBestFriend: Serves as this towards Milo. His journal reveals that the two bonded after Milo's previous friends shunned him.
** Downplayed with Noah Maxwell. While the two are buds now, Noah mentions on his Ask.fm and Formspring accounts that Kevin was much closer to Milo than him, leaving them more as acquaintances than actual friends.
* EarlyBirdCameo: His first proper appearance is in November 11th, where he can be seen reviewing some note cards. He later appears in DEATHTRAPEXODUS while reviewing a disk with the Observer symbol on it, and then becomes possessed by the Observer in a dark forest. He finally makes a proper first appearance in Pitfall, where he gets Noah to a hospital.
* SplitPersonalityTakeover/SuperPoweredEvilSide: As the Observer.
* TranslatorBuddy: Helps Noah translate Karl Maxwell's German into English after the events of My Grandfather Karl.
* WeirdnessMagnet: Every time he appears in a video, something is bound to go wrong. [[spoiler: Justified, as he's the host for the Observer.]]
** This trope also applies him during Milo's childhood. During a journal entry in 1995, Milo writes that he and Kevin played SpyroTheDragon during a sleepover at the latter's house. This is despite the fact that Spyro was released in ''1998'', three years from that date. Noah is understandably confused by this.

!!Karl Maxwell
Noah's grandfather on his mother's side. He is from Germany, and speaks little English. He reveals to Noah that he encountered the Slender Man in World War II, and possesses [[spoiler: a journal and knife belonging to dead Nazi Sebastian Kraus, which apparently is the last record of an unknown historic event involving the Slender Man.]]

* TheAloner: Like Noah, he lives in a house all by himself. The only reason he hasn't been moved to a proper senior citizens' home is because he's supposedly sane enough to pay his mortgage.
* BadassGrandpa: Worked for the [=OSS=] in World War II.
* ChekhovsGunman: [[spoiler: It seems Noah will have to work with his grandpa to get the journal in order to fight back against the Collective.]]
* CrazyPrepared: According to Noah's Ask.fm, Karl has multiple guns in his house. [[spoiler: He chases Milo away from his ammunition box with one of them.]]
* DisproportionateRetribution: How does Karl keep people away from his ammunition box? [[spoiler: By chasing them away with a shotgun of course!]]
* DirtyCoward: Played with. Karl keeps himself distant from his entire family in order to protect himself from the Collective, but it's strongly implied that he does this to keep his whole family safe as well. However, when Noah stays at his home for too long, he yells at him to...
* GetOut: Shoves Noah out of his house when he realizes he is a target for the Slender Man.
* [[IHaveNoSon I Have No Daughter]]: The moment Mary Asher tells Karl that she can see "Mr. Slim", he immediately disowns her.
** Played with regarding Milo Asher. While Karl hasn't properly disowned him like he did with Mary (although considering the fact that she's his mother, that doesn't say much for their relationship), he certainly has [[ForgottenFallenFriend a lot of trouble recognizing him]] as his grandson in the Submission videos.
* [[ForgottenFallenFriend Forgotten Fallen Grandson]]: While warning Noah about Slender Man, Karl mentions that in his videos, he saw that Slendy was watching "Noah's friend". Yeah, not Milo Asher, not Noah's cousin, not his ''own grandson'', but just "Noah's friend". SanitySlippage at it's finest, ladies and gentlemen.
* OffingTheOffspring: Came ''dangerously'' close to doing this to Milo after the latter finds the ammunition box. [[WellIntentionedExtremist Likely because he doesn't want anyone touching Sebastian's journal]].
* {{Omniglot}}: Spoke fluently in German, French, Russian, and English during World War II and a few years afterward. Sadly, his SanitySlippage caused him to lose the ability to speak all of them but German, resulting in Noah [[EloquentInMyNativeTongue having no idea what he's saying]] when he visits him until [[TranslatorBuddy Kevin]] translates what he says.
* RetiredBadass: Used to work for the OSS, and ''attempted to kill Slender Man'' during that time. It comes at the cost of him becoming a ShellShockedVeteran for the rest of his life.
* SanitySlippage: Mary claimed that he started out fairly sane and normal, only to forget his English and become more crazed and paranoid over time, going to the point of nearly killing a seven-year old Milo Asher. Noah's mother also stated that he suffers from age-related dementia. However, given the things he witnessed and the strangeness surrounding the family, it's beginning to look like his paranoia is completely justified....
* SecretKeeper: [[spoiler: Hides the journal and knife belonging to Sebastian Kraus.]] [[{{Determinator}} And it doesn't look like he's giving it up any time soon.]]
* ShellShockedVeteran: Not just because he fought in the war, but because he met the Slender Man.
* SkewedPriorities: Rather than rescue his own wife from drowning in the ocean after the boat they were on capsized, Karl instead chooses to search for Sebastian's journal. This ultimately results in Sonia Maxwell's death, [[JumpingOffTheSlipperySlope and also leads to him becoming the shut-in recluse we see in My Grandfather Karl]].
* WellIntentionedExtremist: Refuses to talk to or see Noah, Mary Asher, or other members of his family for the sake of his own safety.

!!Mary Asher
Milo's mother, Mary is known to have had mental problems since she was a child. [[spoiler: It is revealed she has known the Slender Man since she was a child, referring to him as "Mr. Slim". She also knew Dr. Corenthal when he treated Milo as a child, and was a member of The Order, a cult first seen in the logs of ''WebVideo/DarkHarvest''. She was confirmed dead in "Obituary".]]

* ZeroPercentApprovalRating: And within her own family too! To elaborate: [[spoiler: Her father, Karl Maxwell disowned her at a young age once she told him she could see Slender Man, her second husband John Fletcher divorces her very quickly after they are married, Noah's father apparently had a run-in with Mary after she assumed he was attacking her, her own son Milo ends up murdering her in cold blood as Mr. Scars, and Noah's future self regards Mary as a "fucking asshole". Not even Mary's sister (and Noah's mother) Sharon cries during her funeral.]]
* AbusiveParents: Of the ParentalNeglect kind. In Milo's entry "hate", it's discovered that Mary interacts with Milo very little during his early childhood, preferring to watch TV, smoke, talk on the phone, and go to a Friday book club (aka: meetings held by The Order) by herself. She also refuses to allow Milo to have friends over, and actually ''grounds'' him [[DisproportionateRetribution for inviting Kevin over to his house]].
** It only gets worse from there: Mary finally takes Milo to an Order meeting in "club", and simply watches as the cult ''drinks her son's blood'' in order to induct him into their ranks.
** And let's not forget that in Milo's Tape, it's implied that Mary only even conceived Milo in the first place so that she could ''[[OffingTheOffspring delay her own death]]''. Mr. Scars angrily lampshades this while confronting her.
* AllWomenAreLustful / ReallyGetsAround: Milo's entries confirm that Mary had many boyfriends after Robert Asher's death. It's implied she used them to try to try and conceive another child (or more), only for them to all end in miscarriages.
* AssholeVictim: Is ultimately shot by Mr. Scars in Milo's Tape, but very few people seem to care about her death after this is revealed in Obituary.
* BabyFactory: Mary attempted to become this be sleeping with many other men, likely to sacrifice to Slender Man. It's unfortunately averted, as all of her impregnations ended as miscarriages.
* BigNO!: Her reaction to [[spoiler: learning that Milo is Mr. Scars]].
* BoomHeadshot: How she's killed.
* ChekhovsGunman: [[spoiler: Implied to be a lifelong candidate for the Collective, and is revealed to be Cursor's host.]]
* DeathBySecretIdentity: Finds out who Mr. Scars is literally ''seconds'' before her death.
* DoomedByCanon: [[spoiler: Will eventually be killed by Mr. Scars.]]
** [[spoiler: Her death is confirmed in "Obituary": she was found in her submerged car with a bullet hole in her chest -- and x-shaped bandages covering her eyes.]]
** [[spoiler: DeathByIrony: Mary only had Milo in the first place so she could sacrifice him to "Mr. Slim", believing she could end the family "curse" and prevent her own death at the hands of the Collective; instead, Milo was resurrected as the Collective Member Mr. Scars -- her prophesied killer.]]
* HarassingPhoneCall: Mary calls Noah out of the blue after he spent months trying to call her, explaining her past with the Slender Man and that [[spoiler: Mr. Scars is going to kill her (and for some reason, assumes that Noah knows who he really is.)]]
* {{Irony}}: During her life, Mary is almost always on the run from a man known as Mr. Scars who is destined to kill her. Out of paranoia, she kills two of her ex-husbands, and almost attacked Noah's father to make sure that none of them could have been Mr. Scars. Unfortunately, she still dies at the hands of her killer due to him being someone she never expected: [[spoiler: her own dead son Milo.]]
* KarmicDeath: After neglecting and abusing Milo all of his life, there's no denying how satisfying it is to see her die by his hands in Milo's Tape.
* [[spoiler: KilledOffForReal: By her ''own son'', no less!]]
* [[spoiler: TheKillerInMe: She is believed to have murdered her ex-husband, mistakenly believing he was Mr. Scars.]]
* ManipulativeBitch
* MissingMom: After Milo's funeral.
* ParentalAbandonment: Was disowned by her father the moment he discovered she could see Slender Man. It's unknown what her relationship with her mother was, but it couldn't have been that great either.
* ParentalNeglect: See Abusive Parents.
* [[spoiler: ReligionOfEvil: She is (or ''was'') a member of [[WebVideo/DarkHarvest a Slender Man-worshipping cult.]] (It's hinted that she only joined because she thought they could provide her more information about "Mr. Slim"... such as how he could be destroyed.)]]
* SanitySlippage
* [[spoiler: DivorceRequiresDeath: It's strongly hinted that she killed her first husband and then her second husband (John Fletcher) out of paranoia.]]

!!Sebastian Kraus
A Nazi who Karl encountered in 1944. [[spoiler: He was being chased by the Slender Man and was killed, but his journal which contained a record of an unseen historic event ended up in Karl's hands.]]

* CoolMask: He very well could be Swain, due to his mask being found amongst Karl's possessions in his safe.
* {{Ghostapo}}: May well have been this.
* HeKnowsTooMuch: Possibly the reason why he's dead.
* PosthumousCharacter: Although Sebastian has been dead for a very long time, his journal is of relative importance to the Collective. Hence the reason why they pester Noah until he obtains it from Karl.
* ThoseWackyNazis: HABIT confirms that he was a Nazi, and that he worked with him on an important project during WWII.

!!Robert Asher
Milo's biological father, who died shortly after Milo was born. Although it was reported that his death was the cause of a house fire, many people suspect that it was Mary Asher.

* BackFromTheDead: Implied. During INTERCEPTION, Firebrand mentions that Noah will have to send Robert Milo or Sebastian's journal, even though Noah claims that he died in a house fire shortly after Milo was born. Milo's journal ultimately confirms that he's alive.
* ChekhovsGunman: According to Firebrand, Noah will find something of Robert's in Mary Asher's safe, and will have to send him either Milo or Sebastian's journal.
* DeceasedParentsAreTheBest
* DisappearedDad: [[spoiler: Thanks to Mary Asher.]]
* TheGhost: He's the only member of the Asher family who has never been seen on camera. Noah claims that he doesn't even know what he looks like.
* NiceGuy: According to John Fletcher, Robert was a genuinely great guy, and a good friend to him.
* ParentalAbandonment: Not his fault, though.

!!Henka Visæ
A high-ranking member of The Order who recruited Mary Asher into the Southern chapter of it's rankings.
* AffablyEvil: In spite of being an "archvassal" of a ReligionOfEvil, he speaks to Milo very cordially and respectfully, calmly explaining things about Slender Man that Milo wishes to know about.
* CoolMask: He wears a mask in the shape of a skull, contrasting him from other members of The Order. It's what tips Noah off to who his Collective counterpart is.
* CoolOldGuy: Milo sees him as this. [[AffablyEvil It's very clear he isn't]].
* GeniusCripple: The East Coat Manifest reveals that Henka was a hunchback, and also an Archvassal of The Order. It's also possible that Henka knows much more about Slender Man than any of the other Order members do, [[DemBones considering who he ultimately becomes]].
* GratuitousGerman: The Manifest also reveals that Henka was indeed a German citizen. He averts this trope when speaking to Milo however, although he appeared to have had a bit of an accent while speaking English
* ReallySevenHundredYearsOld: As the Wiki points out, if Henka were still alive to this day, he would be over a hundred years old.
* SinkingShipScenario: According to Scriniari, Henka Visaæ was the captain of the boat that capsized during Noah's childhood, resulting in the death of his grandmother.

[[folder: Humans (minor)]]

!!John Fletcher
Mary's ex-husband who Noah contacts regarding her whereabouts. He seems to be a nice guy who cared for both Mary and Milo, despite their mental issues.

* FriendToAllChildren: He's one of the few ex-boyfriends of Mary Asher who actually seems to care about Milo. He tells him stories about his father Robert, and feels genuinely bad when he finds out he committed suicide.
* NiceGuy: One of the very few members of Noah's "family" who seems to care about more than just his own hide.
* [[spoiler: RedShirt: He is killed off-screen, likely by Mary.]]
* TheVoice: Never appears onscreen, but is heard over the phone in A Phone Call With John Fletcher.

Noah's friend (and YouTube follower) who invites him to stay with her during Thanksgiving break. However, the influence of the Collective follows, leading to Sarah becoming involved with the Noah's problems for a while.

* ADayInTheLimelight: In the Thanksgiving two-parter, she handles Noah's video camera and witnesses Noah's moment of madness.
* DistressedDamsel: As evidenced by her Twitter account after Thanksgiving.
* InnocentBystander
* [[spoiler: KilledOffForReal: She is taken by Slender Man and later confirmed to have been killed when Noah finds her obituary.]]
* [[spoiler: OhCrap: She calls Noah during his Valentines day livestream and reveals the Slender Man has been stalking her.]]
* RealLifeWritesThePlot: Bad blood between Adam Rosner and the actress who played Sarah led to delays in filming, and finally led him to re-write the final part of the Thanksgiving Day footage so her character doesn't appear on-camera.

Sarah's friend who appears in the Thanksgiving two-parter. [[spoiler: She is murdered by a crazed Noah off-camera, and her death is made to look like a suicide.]]

* GenkiGirl
* GogglesDoNothing
* [[spoiler: GoryDiscretionShot: Her murder occurs entirely offscreen, showing us only the bloody aftermath (in the form of Noah's torn, blood-splattered tee shirt).]]
* InnocentBystander
* [[spoiler: KilledOffForReal: By Noah.]]

A former classmate of Milo Asher's during his childhood. Although the two were friends at first, he dismisses Milo's concerns about Slender Man's appearances, and begins mercilessly bullying him.
* FromTheMouthsOfBabes: Milo reveals in his journal that Jeremy called Milo a "shithead" while beating him up on the playground one day. Keep in mind that Milo is only seven years old, and since the two attended the same school, Jeremy can't be that much older.
* KidsAreCruel: '''''Oh hell yes'''''. After Milo tells Jeremy about seeing "the big man", he immediately seizes the opportunity to make Milo's school years a living hell alongside his other classmates. This ranges from taunting and humiliating him to physically beating him up.

[[folder:The Collective]]
!!The Collective
A group of powerful proxies who do the Slender Man's dirty work. They each have their own assignments and separate goals. The driving force of the plot involves them needing the journal of Karl Maxwell, as it is the last piece of the puzzle for their plans for Humanity. Tropes applying the Collective as a whole include:

* [[AndIMustScream And We Must Scream]]: It's been implied that joining the Collective is ''not'' a pleasant experience.
* AppropriatedAppellation: They have no names other than the nicknames humans have given them, which they have adopted for the sake of convenience.
* BigScrewedUpFamily: More than half of the members minus Slender Man are related to each other (Cursor, Firebrand, Persolus, and Mr. Scars), or in the very least knew each other before joining (Swain, Deadhead, & Observer). In spite of this, the Observer makes it pretty clear that very few of them actually get along with each other.
* ChessMotifs / FiveBadBand: Each member is given a chess piece to symbolize their rank. The creator later stopped focusing on individual pieces and instead focused on just black and white sides, but here they are regardless.
** [[BigBad The Administrator]] - [[BigBad The Black King]]
** [[TheHeavy The Observer]] - [[TheHeavy The Black Rook]]
** [[TheDragon Deadhead]] - [[TheDragon The Black Knight]]
** [[SixthRangerTraitor Firebrand]] - [[LightIsNotGood The White King]]
*** [[spoiler: [[SubvertedTrope This ends up]] {{foreshadowing}} [[LightIsGood his]] HeelFaceTurn]].
** [[TheDarkChick Cursor]] - [[GodSaveUsFromTheQueen The White Queen]]
** [[EvilGenius Persolus]] - [[TheDarkChick The White Bishop]]
** [[TheBrute Swain]] - The White Knight
** [[TheHeart Mr. Scars]] - The White Rook
** [[spoiler: Sarah]] - [[UnwittingPawn The White Pawn]]
* DarkIsEvil
** [[spoiler: DarkIsNotEvil: While some members are definitely malevolent, others seem to be actively working to help Noah escape his fate.]]
* DemonicPossession: Each member is actually a spirit controlling an innocent victim. [[spoiler: However, as demonstrated with Firebrand, the degree to which they are being controlled seems to vary.]]
* EliteMooks: There are Slenderman's proxies, and then there are ''these'' guys.
* EvilIsOneBigHappyFamily: Subverted. A few lines from the Observer imply that they can't stand each other.
* HiveMind: Although they each still have individual personalities.
* MindRape: They ''love'' doing this to their victims. [[spoiler: And it's implied that they suffer this as well]].
* {{Only Known By Their Nickname}}s: See AppropriatedAppellation
* PaintingTheMedium: They each use a different font.
* [[RealityWarper Reality Warpers]]: Although no two members seem to have the same amount of power.
* [[HeWhoMustNotBeSeen They Who Must Not Be Seen]]: So far, the only members whose unobscured faces we've seen are [[spoiler: the Observer (Kevin), Firebrand (Noah), Cursor (Mary Asher), and Mr. Scars (Milo)]]. Not counting [[HumanoidAbomination The Administrator, who]] [[TheBlank has no face]] [[HumanoidAbomination to hide, of course.]]
* [[WasOnceAMan Were Once Humans]]: With the possible exception of the Administrator.

!!The Administrator[=/=][[Franchise/TheSlenderManMythos Slender Man]]
The EldritchAbomination himself and BigBad of the series. As usual, he is stalking children -- and, in this case Milo and Noah -- but takes a backseat to allow his minion, the Observer, to keep an eye on Noah. He often pops up to scare Noah, and possesses animated CombatTentacles.
* AnimalMotifs: As of recently, the Administrator for [[RuleOfScary some reason]] has had His CombatTentacles take on the appearance of spider legs. And also the Observer saying "WE ARE ALL CAUGHT IN HIS WEB" near the end of DEATHTRAPEXODOUS, brings this trope to mind.
** Later on, Future Noah reveals that Slendy is indeed able to shapeshift into various forms, most notably the GiantSpider seen in Sisyphus.
* TheAdjectivalMan
* BadassInANiceSuit: A staple for him.
* BeingWatched: Does this to Noah, Mary, and Milo. Shared with the Observer.
* BigBad
* TheBlank
* BrownNote: If Noah sees him, bad things happen.
* ByTheEyesOfTheBlind
* ChildEater
* CombatTentacles: Definitely one of the most impressive versions of the character, he never appears without flowing black tentacles (which, as we see in close ups, even have ''suction cups'').
* EldritchAbomination: Not much is known about what it, but the one thing we do know is that Slender Man is ''not'' from this world.
* EvilLaugh: Lets one loose while Noah confronts him in Crawlspace. Itís unnerving as ''hell''.
* GiantSpider: See Voluntary Shapeshifting below.
* HellIsThatNoise: Whenever Slender Man attempts to make vocal noises, he ends up making a horrifying growling sound.
* HiddenInPlainSight: In more ways than one.
* HumanoidAbomination
* IHaveManyNames: The Collective refers to him as the Administrator, the Keeper, the Black King, and onedividedbyzero.
** InSeriesNickName: Mary Asher calls him Mr. Slim. Noah calls him Daddy Longlegs. [[spoiler: [[WebVideo/EverymanHYBRID HABIT]] calls him "Stick-in-the-mud."]] And Milo calls him "the big man".
* LeanAndMean: ''Very'' lean and '''''very''''' mean.
* MeaningfulBackgroundEvent: Keep an eye out for him in various videos.
* MultiArmedAndDangerous: Shown to its fullest extreme in Crawlspace.
* NoodlePeople: And has a whole HiveMind of minions for company.
* OffscreenTeleportation: As expected of him. Possibly hinted to be a case of SuperSpeed (during Noah's attempted fight with him).
* PsychicPowers: Can cause mind screws, including (but not limited to) turning ordinary locations into AlienGeometries and [[TimeMaster manipulating time]].
* VoluntaryShapeshifting: Future Noah confirms during the 2017 Veterans Day stream that the giant spider that terrorizes Noah in Sisyphus (nicknamed "Mongo" by the creator and fans) is Slender Man transformed. Apparently it likes to change into a form that terrifies its victims.

!!The Observer/[[spoiler:Kevin Haas]]
More or less the main antagonist of the series, this mysterious and shadowy figure delights in manipulating Noah for his own purposes. He is recognizable by his distinctive thick glasses, long hair and [[SlasherSmile malevolent grin]]. Beyond that, what he looks like is unknown, as he has only ever been seen in {{rotoscoping}}. [[spoiler: He is later revealed to be possessing Noah's friend Kevin, who helped translate Karl's German after Noah's first visit to his grandfather.]]

* BerserkButton: Having his broadcast to Noah intercepted by anyone is bound to have him seething with rage.
* TheCallKnowsWhereYouLive
* TheCracker: The Observer often hijacks Noah's internet accounts to taunt his victim.
* DeadpanSnarker: Especially on Formspring.
* TheDragon: Noah encounters him just as much, if not more than the Administrator during the course of the series.
* [[spoiler: FightingFromTheInside: Kevin seems to be doing this: on the back of the Observer's note from The Live Stream Incident, Noah find a note in Kevin's handwriting begging him to kill him so the Collective can no longer use him as a vessel.]]
* FourEyesZeroSoul:
** [[spoiler: NotSoStoic: Despite what he claims, it is obvious that he is extremely pissed with Firebrand for interrupting his broadcast]] in Interception.
* FreezeFrameBonus: Loves putting these in the videos.
* GoodSmokingEvilSmoking: During ''DEATHTRAPEXODUS'', he is seen smoking and laughing vigorously throughout the whole video.
* TheHeavy: Tends to the one who terrorizes Noah whenever Slender Man isn't present to do so.
* TheHyena: [[CharacterizationMarchesOn Not prevalent in]] [[TheStoic his earlier appearances]], but he laughs ''hysterically'' all throughout "Pitfall". [[EvilLaugh It's not]] [[LaughingMad funny in]] [[Nightmarefuel/TribeTwelve the slightest.]]
* HiddenInPlainSight: Does this like his master.
* IHaveManyNames: The Observer was previously called the Sentinel.
* IncrediblyObviousBug: Sets up a device in Noah's house to spy on him.
* JerkAss: Whereas the other Collective members are simply mysterious (as in even being AffablyEvil), the Observer delights in being sadistic and cruel.
* JumpScare: Oh, ''yes''. It's like a hobby of his.
* LargeHam: His videos are chock full of this, with big scrawly letters shaking all over as creepy videos and images appear. When he finally starts speaking in Season 2, he proves that he can certainly pull off a good EvilLaugh.
* NightmareFace: Has about three of these.
* PrecisionFStrike: He lets one out when he's berating Noah for bringing the wrong gift in ''DEATHTRAPEXODUS''.[[spoiler: He also does this when Firebrand disrupts his private video to Noah.]]
* SanitySlippage: During Season One, the Observer usually stays quite cam and collected as he taunts Noah constantly. However, during INTERCEPTION and DEATHTRAPEXODUS, Observer is shown swearing openly, as well as manically laughing more than before. He even starts smoking cigarettes as he laughs!
* ScaryShinyGlasses
* SlasherSmile
* TheDogWasTheMastermind: [[spoiler: Kevin is briefly introduced as a friend to Noah. Turns out he is the host of the Observer.]]
* VillainousBreakdown: [[spoiler: Has an ''epic'' one when Firebrand hijacks his latest video for Noah.]]
* TheWallsHaveEyes

!!Firebrand/[[spoiler:Noah Maxwell]]
Firebrand is a member of the Collective who appeared in front of Noah on November 11th, and is recognized for his pinhole eyes and smile. He is called "The Stubborn." [[spoiler: He stops the Observer from taking Noah on 11/11/12 and hijacked the video INTERCEPTION, [[OminousMessageFromTheFuture revealing information about the journal]]. The Livestream Incident reveals that he is Noah, from either the future or a separate timeline.]]

* [[spoiler: {{Antihero}}: Unscrupulus Hero (Type IV). While he has allied himself with Noah, that doesn't mean he hasn't [[WebVideo/EverymanHYBRID committed terrible acts]] to get to this point]].
* BadassArmFold: At the end of The Live Stream Incident video.
* BadPowersGoodPeople: Firebrand considers himself to be a "rogue god" that shouldn't exist, but does. In spite of this, he does his best to help Noah battle Slender Man.
* BerserkButton: Mistreating Scriniarii is a big one for him, [[TheFourthWallWillNotProtectYou as the TT fandom found out the hard way]].
* [[spoiler: BigDamnHeroes: Rescues [[MyFutureSelfAndMe himself]] during The Live Stream Incident and Fortunes.]]
* BlackBeadEyes: Described as "pinhole eyes".
* BriefcaseFullOfMoney: Gives this to Mr. Scars plus a gun in Milo's Tape. He later sends Mr. Scars to deliver the case to Noah.
* [[spoiler: ChekhovsGunman: He first appears in November 11th, where many assumed he was merely helping the Observer kidnap Noah. We later learn in The Live Stream Incident, that he actually ''is'' Noah, but from an alternate timeline.]]
* DeadpanSnarker: Fitting, considering [[spoiler: who his host is]]. Perfect example: after he ends up [[spoiler: giving Noah several thousand dollars in cash, his advice is, "Try not to spend it all."]]
** After Noah reveals that he chucked his camera into the river on Twitter, Firebrand returns it to him in a cardboard box, and tells Noah "wow dude, littering is bad for the environment what the fuck."
* [[spoiler: [[DidYouJustFlipOffCthulhu Did You Just Flip Off the Slender Man?]]: Does this literally as the Administrator is about to collect Noah in his sleep. [[CrowningMomentOfAwesome It shocks the hell out of him so much that he puts away his]] CombatTentacles [[CrowningMomentOfFunny and tilts his head in confusion]].]]
* {{Determinator}}: As "The Stubborn", he never gave up even after becoming part of the Collective.
* [[spoiler: EnemyMine: To free himself from the Administrator's control, he made an unwilling alliance with [[WebVideo/EverymanHYBRID HABIT]] (who he describes as "a loathsome entity with mutual interests").]]
* FreezeFrameBonus: Like the Observer, he likes leaving hidden messages in Noah's videos, usually in the last frame.
** [[spoiler: At the end of "Extraordinary Circumstances" when Firebrand appears in the doorway to Noah's room, the words "HELLO EVERYBODY" are briefly superimposed over a picture on Noah's desk.]]
* [[spoiler: FutureMeScaresMe: Noah is understandably horrified to learn that Firebrand is a future version of himself who joined the Collective.]]
** [[spoiler: IHatePastMe: He once called Noah an "ungrateful fuck."]]
* GlowingEyesOfDoom: His pinhole eyes, which are devoid of any emotion.
* HaveANiceDaySmile
* [[spoiler: HeelFaceTurn.Maybe.]]
* HeelFaceRevolvingDoor: Despite being on Noah's side, Firebrand is shown leaving cryptic fortune cookies and making vines that mock a mentally unstable Noah. He later tries to give advice to Noah again during ''DEATHTRAPEXODUS'', only to get interrupted once more by the Observer. Then, he decides to make SCRINARII, which is essentially a huge TheReasonYouSuckSpeech towards all of Noah's viewers for inactivity and banning Scrinarii.
* [[spoiler: HeroicSacrifice: So far, the journal that the Collective are after has been the very thing protecting him from their wrath. He intends to have it delivered to Noah.]]
* [[spoiler: HopeSpot: Provides one when he hacks into the Observer's video to protect Noah.]]
* [[spoiler: MyFutureSelfAndMe]]
* MeaningfulName: The word "firebrand" is used to describe as "a person who is passionate about a particular cause, typically inciting change and taking radical action". Considering that his title is "The Stubborn", it seems to fit him pretty well.
* NightmareFace
* PerpetualSmiler: Is almost always seen with a thin smile on his face.
* PrecisionFStrike: [[spoiler: Part of the final clincher as to Firebrand's true identity. "YOU'RE FUCKING WELCOME."]]
** Also in his second tweet to Noah: "[[spoiler:I'm trying to save you,]] you ungrateful ''fuck''."
* RedFilterOfDoom: The lighting of the videos turn reddish-orange when Firebrand appears.
* ScrewDestiny: [[spoiler: Leading to Heel Face Turn.]]
* SlasherSmile: Always has one.
* [[spoiler:StepfordSmiler]]
* [[spoiler:TomatoInTheMirror]]
* WalkingSpoiler: Has been this ever since ''INTERCEPTION''.
* YouAreNotAlone: [[spoiler: Gives a pep talk to Noah when he interrupts the Observer's message (INTERCEPTION).]]

!!Deadhead/[[spoiler:Henka Visæ]]
A member of the Collective that wears a skull mask and hood. He is known to have followed Sebastian Kraus. He is known as "The Nationalist." [[spoiler: In Milo's journal entry "boat", he's revealed to be none other than Henka Visæ, the one who recruited Mary Asher into The Order.]]

* AffablyEvil: He writes in cursive handwriting, and is very calm and cordial while speaking.
* ANaziByAnyOtherName: He is named after a German term, known as the Nationalist, existed in World War II, stalked Sebastian, and is currently stalking Karl (who also fought in the war).
* TheDragon: Seems to share this role with the Observer. He may even be above the Observer in rank, due to having a higher-ranked Chess piece.
* CoolMask: As part of The Order, it was necessary for him to wear one. However, Deadhead's is unique in that rather than being a WhiteMaskOfDoom, it's instead a SkullForAHead.
* InTheHood: Is always seen with a hood on.
* GratuitousGerman: Has only said two words so far (see below). Since he was active in Germany following Sebastian, we'll probably get a lot of this from him when/if he starts talking more.
** [[spoiler: Averted while speaking with Milo, where he speaks in perfect, but accented English.]]
* JumpScare: Appears in the HAPPYBIRTHDAY video and leaps at the camera, with the words "Auf Wiedersehen" ("goodbye" in German) in his mouth.
* LockedInTheDungeon: DEATHTRAPEXODUS shows him inside of some kind of jail cell. How and why he was sent there is unknown.
* MeaningfulName: Deadhead is a reference to the German term "Totenkopf" which means "death's head". The Totenkopf is symbolised by a skull and was used by the Nazis.
* NightmareFace: Scary enough with the mask. Presumably he is hiding something creepier beneath it. Unless the mask ''is'' his face...
* SkullForAHead: Actually a CoolMask owned by Deadhead's host. [[spoiler: WordOfGod states however that the mask may or may not be a part of his own face.]]
* WhatAreYouInFor: Implied to be the "conman" that started the tragedy of the Maxwell-Asher family that Noah speaks of.
* WickedCultured: He writes in cursive font, and seemingly dedicated his life to the southern chapter of The Order.

!!Cursor/[[spoiler:Mary Asher]]
Cursor is a female Collective member with long hair and X-shaped bandages over her eyes. Her title is "The Selfish." Noah has noted that she bears a resemblance to both his own mother and Mary Asher. [[spoiler: As of Obituary, it is confirmed that she is indeed Mary.]]

* BlindfoldedVision: Wears x-shaped bandages over her eyes. Notably, large purple crosses have appeared in both WebVideo/TribeTwelve and WebVideo/EverymanHYBRID.
* ItsAllAboutMe: Presumably why she is called The Selfish.
** Series creator Adam Rosner has described her as a "bitch", and it was revealed that her host [[spoiler: Mary Asher sold her son out to the Collective to stave off her own death.]]
* MeaningfulName: Cursor is Latin for "runner", or "messenger". Considering her host was on the run from Slender Man for a good portion of her life, this may mean more than one thinks.
* TheSmurfettePrinciple: The only female member of the Collective, and one of the very first females working under the big man in any of the Slender Man stories.
* TrappedInASinkingCar: Subverted. While the photos in Obituary show the police found her host's corpse in a submerged car, it's later discovered that she was killed [[BoomHeadshot in a very different manner]], long before she was put in the car.

!!Mr. Scars/[[spoiler:Milo Asher]]
Mr. Scars is seen with his hands covering a heavily scarred face. He is called "the one who kills Mary" and "The Burdened", and Mary Asher believed that Noah knew his identity. Noah has mentioned on Twitter that he has had a recurring nightmare about Mr. Scars, finding him vaguely familiar. [[spoiler: "Obituary" confirmed that he's Milo Asher.]]

* AffablyEvil: Seems to hate his own scars, judging by his behavior in a dream Noah had about him.
** [[spoiler: Implied even more in DEUS EX MACHINA when Firebrand reveals Mr. Scars will deliver Milo's diary in a briefcase to Noah. In Obituary, Mr. Scars delivers the briefcase...with the final frame of the video showing a smiling Milo wishing Noah "Good Luck".]]
* TheAtoner: Presumably the reason why he's working with Firebrand after killing Mary Asher, and why he delivers his BriefcaseFullOfMoney to Noah.
* [[spoiler: BackFromTheDead: He's Milo revived as a member of the Collective.]]
* BriefcaseFullOfMoney: Firebrand gives him this along with the [[ForegoneConclusion gun he will use to shoot Mary Asher]] in Milo's Tape. Afterwards, he delivers that same briefcase minus the gun to Noah in Obituary along with several of his own belongings, including said tape, [[LivingMacGuffin his journal]], a handwritten note, a sudoku Rubix cube, and some old loafers.
* DisposingOfABody: After killing Mary Asher, Mr. Scars tapes two X's onto her eyes, and then dumps her lifeless body into a submerged car in the middle of a lake.
* HealingFactor: [[spoiler: Subverted in the most horrific fashion: he retains all of the wounds from his suicide, including cuts on both wrists and a ''slit throat''.]]
* GoodScarsEvilScars
* TheGrotesque: Retains the self-inflicted scars and slit throat he died with, making him this.
* IDidntMeanToKillHim: After Mr. Scars shoots Mary Asher in the head, he breaks down sobbing while telling her corpse that the Collective made him do it.
* MonsterSobStory: There's a good reason why he's known as "The Burdened".[[note]] Milo's mother only gave birth to him ''in the first place'' so she could offer him as a sacrifice to the Administrator. He suffered a lifetime of severe psychological problems due to being constantly followed by the Slender Man and his ilk. Then, after an utterly horrific death and resurrection (both of which were orchestrated by forces outside his control), he was [[BrainwashedAndCrazy forced]] to murder his mother in cold blood.[[/note]]
* NightmareFace: Presumably hides one behind his hands.
** [[spoiler: "Milo's Tape", however, suggests that he might be hiding his face due to the sorrow and shame of having murdered his own mother.]]
* SerialKillingsSpecificTarget: Destined to murder Mary Asher. [[spoiler: It seems he has fulfilled this destiny.]]
* UndeadBarefooter: Implied by Firebrand in this [[https://twitter.com/TribeTwelve/status/372914786838667264 tweet]]. Apparently Mr. Scars had to walk from some desert in the middle of nowhere, all the way to Noah's house in Florida. Surprisingly, it only takes him 3 days.
* UnwantedRevival: Courtesy of Slender Man.

Swain wears an army uniform and smiling theatre mask. Is also called "The Lover." Little is known about him at this time.

* ArmchairMilitary
* BlingOfWar
* TheCasanova: If his reputation as "The Lover" is any indication.
* CoolMask: Wears a solid white "happy" theater mask, as well as a frowning theater mask underneath it. In Milo's entry "safe", it's revealed that Karl had this in his possession for some reason.
* MalevolentMaskedMen: Is always seen wearing a solid white theater mask.
* MeaningfulName: The word "Swain" means "young lover" or "suitor". Judging by his title, it may mean more than we know.
* StepfordSmiler: Implied. During the Collective video ''DEATHTRAPEXODUS'', Swain is shown taking off his smiling theatre mask to reveal another, sad theatre mask underneath.
* WhiteMaskOfDoom
* WickedCultured: Fancy uniform and a theatre mask? He couldn't be anything else.

Persolus has the guise of an old man, and is called "the hermit." Persolus is Latin for "quite alone." [[spoiler: He's confirmed by the Observer and Milo's Journal to be Karl Maxwell, Noah's grandfather.]]

* GetOut: Wards Milo away from Karl's belongings by dropping a frying pan on the floor.
* GrumpyOldMan
* InSeriesNickname: Milo refers to him as "Dark Grandpa" in his journal.
* IWorkAlone
* MeaningfulName: As seen above, Persolus's name is Latin for "quite alone".
* LonersAreFreaks: Just look at who his host is!
* OnlySaneMan: WordOfGod says that out of all of the Collective members, Persolus has retained the most sanity among them all. Considering that "sane" is defined as a ProperlyParanoid ShellShockedVeteran who's willing to protect his ammunition box by '''''chasing away his 7-year old grandson with a shotgun''''', this does not bode well for the mental state for the rest of the Collective.
* TheDogWasTheMastermind: Is revealed to be possessing Karl Maxwell, Noah's senile old grandfather.

[[folder: Other Entities]]
Scrinarii is an unidentified man who is a "friend" of Firebrand. He attempts to provide information on things on the TribeTwelve Reddit, but assumed to be a gamejacker and blocked. After fans learned about his relationship with Firebrand, Scrinarii appears occasionally on the TribeTwelve discord to provide answers for people.

* BigDamnHeroes: Gives an eight-year old Milo a drive home to his Aunt Jo's house after the latter discover's Karl's safe.
* TheCracker: Serves as this for the Discord and Reddit parts of the TT community. One of his most notable acts was giving early access to Milo's journal, [[RetCon even if it wasn't the official version of it]].
* DeadpanSnarker: Oh, absolutely so towards the TT fandom. Likely justified, due to how the fandom initially saw him as a mere gamejacker before Firebrand proved otherwise.
* OlderThanTheyThink: Scriniarii has been helping Noah and his family out ever since Milo's childhood, where he poses as a taxi driver and takes him back to his Aunt Jo's house after Milo runs away from his grandfather's house.
* ScaryShinyGlasses: While the "scary" part, isn't exactly applicable, one of Scri's defining traits are his large glasses, which rival the Observer's in terms of RuleOfCool.
* SurroundedByIdiots: Seems to have this attitude towards the TribeTwelve Discord and Reddit fandoms. In particular, Sciniarii has a disdain for those who ask him terrible questions, or attempt to use Severance poorly.
* TeethClenchedTeamwork: If his messages on Discord are to be believed, he had no interest in doing what Firebrand asked him to do, and clearly looks down upon the TT fandom.

!!Future Noah Maxwell
Hailing from an alternate timeline, Future Noah (known as Prebrand by fans) is Noah Maxwell from a future where he was enslaved by the Collective, and forced to live within their realm for an undetermined amount of time. Noah first encounters him in Sisyphus, where he makes it clear how much SanitySlippage he's gone through over the years.

* AxeCrazy: Compared to the current Noah, Future Noah has shown to be much more unhinged than one would like to believe, going as for as to slice Noah's hand with a Nazi blade just for shits and giggles.
* {{BFS}}: Has a large Nazi blade that he keeps in his BagOfHolding. We later get to see it in action when [[spoiler: he attacks Noah with it.]]
* BeardOfSorrow: More like beard of ''madness''.
* BizarreTasteInFood: While showing off his miscellaneous objects, Prebrand takes out a bag marked "BIRD" on it with...''something''... in it, and eats it in right in front of a disgusted Noah. Somewhat justified however, since there aren't exactly any restaurants in the Collective's realm.
* CloseEnoughTimeline: Implied. Future Noah admits to the current Noah that he doesn't exactly know what he's going to say or do next, and that he's trying to copy what he remembers ''his'' future self did when he was in Noah's place.
* DrivenToSuicide: Defied. Future Noah claims in the Veterans Day livestream that failed versions of himself failed to maintain the loop due to them commiting suicide. As such, he must keep himself alive in order to make sure this version of the loop is successful, [[IronWoobie no matter how much he may want to]].
* EvilLaugh: He mocks Noah's failed attempts to roll a 5 or 8 menacingly by doing this.
* FlashStep: Has the ability to pull this off, thanks to his mastery of Severance.
* FutureMeScaresMe: Even moreso than ''Firebrand''.
* HopeSpot: See TheReasonYouSuckSpeech below.
* ICannotSelfTerminate: Due to being a part of the loop, Future Noah is unable to kill himself lest he wants the Collective to win. He implies that previous versions of himself averted this trope, which caused the loop to fail.
* ItAmusedMe: Most of his crazy antics towards the present Noah are done purely because of this trope.
* LaughingMad: His mocking laughter that echoes throughout the Collective's realm rivals that of the Observer's laughter.
* LightIsNotGood: Don't let that familiar face and light clothing fool you, this version of Noah is a KnifeNut who is more than willing to [[ItAmusedMe slice your hand open for a cheap laugh]], and later laugh in your face as you try (and fail) to roll a [[Film/Jumanji five or an eight]] to escape the hell he's been living in for so long.
* NamesTheSame: He's Noah Maxwell from an alternate future. Subverted in that he and [[SuperPoweredEvilSide Firebrand]], while both different incarnations of Noah, are different entities entirely.
* NonAnswer: Future Noah never actually explains anything that's happening to the current Noah while talking with him, preferring to be extremely vague and confusing. This trope is expanded upon in the Veterans Day Stream, where he refuses to give a straight answer to many important questions out of fear of "breaking the loop".
* PsychopathicManchild / TheSociopath: Seems to have little care whatsoever for his past self, and seems to be more interested in having some cheap laughs than actually teaching Noah anything
* SealedEvilInACan: Future Noah claims he's under "house arrest" meaning that he can't leave the boardwalk, or the Collective's realm.
* TheReasonYouSuckSpeech: After toying with him for a few solid minutes, Future Noah berates his past self for believing that his life is [[BreakingTheFourthWall one big joke for people on the internet to watch]]. He takes it a step further and '''''attacks him with a Nazi blade''''' for no apparent reason other than for a quick laugh.

!!Milo's Journal
The journal of Milo Asher, which somehow becomes sentient during the Fortunes arc.

* {{Hypocrite}}: In Fortunes, the journal shows irritation and contempt towards Noah for not opening itself and reading what it contains. Once Noah actually makes an attempt to do this in Crawlspace, it begs Noah not to do so, claiming that "it's going to hurt".
* JerkassHasAPoint: After the Observer jumpscares the viewers by suggesting that Noah should go to the boardwalk to play, the journal responds by suggesting that Noah listen to him.
* KilledOffForReal: Implied. Although we have yet to see footage of it, Noah confirms on Ask.fm and his Blogspot that the journal ceased whispering after he finally was able to open it.
* LivingMacGuffin / SnarkyInanimateObject: Was this until Noah finally opened it.
* SuddenlyVoiced: Was initially just a regular old journal that Noah received from Mr. Scars, albeit unopenable. Flash-forward to Fortunes and Milo's Journal is now somehow has the ability to speak, which it utilizes to whisper insults at a hungover Noah.
* TricksterMentor: And how. What Milo's journal says varies from some legitemate advice and comforting words, to simple berating and insulting of Noah's lack of progress.
* {{Troll}}
