[[folder:Optimus Prime]]

-->''"[[MythologyGag Freedom is the right of all sentient beings.]]"''
->Voiced by PeterCullen

The valiant, courageous and noble leader of the Autobots, Optimus is very guilt-ridden about the damage done to Cybertron and protects the Earth so it doesn't suffer the same fate. He transforms into a long-nosed Peterbilt 379 truck.

* AuthorityEqualsAsskicking: There is a reason why some of the best fight scenes have him in them.
** AsskickingEqualsAuthority: How Optimus gains the loyalty and support of the Dinobots.
* ArmCannon: Using Jetfire's parts
* AnAxeToGrind: Used in DOTM to devastating effect, and in the end [[spoiler: to kill Megatron]].
* BackFromTheDead: What? [[ It's nothing new.]]
* {{Badass}}: Of course.
** BadassBaritone: Well, he ''is'' voiced by PeterCullen.
** BadassBoast: "I'll take you ''all'' on!"
** BadassBookworm: Head of the Science Division of Cybertron just before the war began.
** BadassInCharge
** BigBadassRig
* BerserkButton: [[BewareTheNiceOnes Don't you dare harm any human]] in front of him, especially humans who are particularly close to him. [[PapaWolf He WILL scare the crap out of you]], like what he did to Sector Seven, who kidnapped Sam and Mikaela. Or [[CrowningMomentOfAwesome beat you senseless]], like what he did to Megatron, Starscream and Grindor when they captured Sam and tried to get his brain. he [[spoiler:''destroyed'' the Fallen, who was endangering the whole human race.]] And [[spoiler:brutally cleaving Megatron's head in half and then using the latter's gun to blow Sentinel Prime's head off]] for slaughtering thousands of people and several of his friends.
** Changed in the fourth film. With humanity indiscriminately killing Autobots, [[spoiler: Ratchet]] being the most recent casualty, it takes all of his self control to stop him from killing every human in sight.
* BewareTheNiceOnes: The greatest living Cybertronian warrior is according to WordOfGod a peace loving and kind-hearted scientist, so don't piss him off or he'll [[MemeticMutation take your face]].
* {{BFG}}: Two of 'em.
* BigGood
* BladeBelowTheShoulder: Has two sets in Revenge of the Fallen, a traditional set of blades and a pair of hooks.
** HotBlade
* CharacterDevelopment: By the end of the first trilogy, he has finally lost all hope for peace with Megatron, especially after the massacre of Chicago.
* CoolMask: He has a retractable faceplate for combat situations.
* CombatPragmatist: Very much so. Starting from his first fight scene, where he rams his blade into Bonecrusher's face.
* CurbstompBattle: Almost all of his fight scenes are this with him on the upper hand. Notably in Revenge of the Fallen, when he absolutely kicks the ''living hell'' out of Megatron, Starscream and Grindor all at once.
** Is on the receiving end of this from both [[spoiler: Sentinel]] and Lockdown.
* DualWielding: In Revenge of The Fallen.
* [[EtTuBrute Et Tu, Sentinel?]]: [[spoiler:His very realization when he discovers that Sentinel Prime had betrayed him and the Autobots.]]
* GeniusBruiser
* GentleGiant
* GoodIsNotSoft: As several very dead Decepticons can attest, Optimus is ''merciless'' in a fight.
* TheHero
* HeroicSacrifice: He gets better, though.
* HonorBeforeReason: [[spoiler:Except when he kills Megatron at the end of DOTM instead of accepting a "truce". Though considering Megatron seemed less than sincere, taunted Optimus while asking for said truce, and still had his gun pointing at him, this is a JustifiedTrope. [[SparedByTheAdaptation The novel has him use this trope all the way through, though in both the novel and comic adaptations, Megatron is clearly sincere about the truce, and even asks Optimus to kill him if he deems it fit.]]]]
* HooksAndCrooks: A memorable scene in Revenge of The Fallen has him swapping his blades for hooks, then using said hooks to tear Grindor's head apart.
* HumansAreSpecial: Firmly believes this, and trusts his human friends with his life.
** HumansAreTheRealMonsters: Tragically, has come to believe this by the time of the fourth film, after ThePurge that wiped out most of the Autobots on Earth.
* HurtingHero: Just like in Generation 1, there is an ever present yet dignified sadness in PeterCullen's performance of Optimus, as if The Great War has affected him so deeply, that he is ''always'' crying deep inside. Cullen stated in interviews that he drew inspiration from his brother Larry, a ShellShockedVeteran of the VietnamWar, who told him before the audition for Optimus "Don't be a tough hero; you are strong enough to be gentle."
** Given far more focus in ''Age of Extinction''.
* IdealHero
* IDidWhatIHadToDo: This is what he says to Megatron's corpse at the end of the first film, and it clearly pains every inch of his being.
** Not so much the second time 'round, though.
* JetPack: Gains one from Jetfire's parts in the second film, his trailer can become one in the third film, and has rocket boots in the fourth film.
* KnightInSourArmor: Has become this by ''Age of Extinction.'' He ultimately gets better, but it's clear the past couple years of hiding and fighting for his life have taken a toll on him. For one thing, he ''legitimately considers leaving humanity to face the apocalypse they brought on themselves''.
* LargeAndInCharge: The tallest of the Autobots -- 32 ft. Until Jetfire, --50 ft., gets involved.
* LastOfHisKind: Was believed to be the last of the Primes, and was therefore hunted by the Fallen (who lost his title when he betrayed his brothers). ''Dark of the Moon'' reveals that [[ThereIsAnother he actually isn't]]; Sentinel Prime is still around, and when Optimus finds out, he revives the old warrior. [[spoiler: Then Optimus kills Sentinel after the latter tries to enslave humanity, putting this trope back into effect. ''Ouch.'']]
* LightningBruiser
* LikeASonToMe: Implies Bumblebee is this in Age of Extinction.
* MessianicArchetype: It's Optimus Prime, this is par for the course.
* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: [[spoiler:After Sentinel Prime goes on a rampage, killing Ironhide and destroy the NEST base, the look on his face as he realizes this is his fault for bringing Sentinel back can only be described as this.]]
* NiceGuy: Outside of combat.
* OffWithHisHead: His fondness for this spawned the meme.
* PoweredArmor: Made from Jetfire's parts
* PapaWolf: He loves his human friends like his own children, and would ''literally'' tear you a new one if you harm even ''one'' of them; Starscream, Grindor, [[spoiler: The Fallen]] ''and'' Megatron find this out the '''hard''' way.
-->"Taking the children was a ''bad move''."
** And then in DOTM when [[spoiler:Sentinel Prime, his father figure and teacher, led an invasion of Chicago that murdered and enslaved ''millions'' of innocent civilians, Optimus shoots the bastard execution-style as he begged helplessly for his worthless life lying on the ground]]. Do ''not'' screw with a race that Optimus Prime has come to love.
* RageAgainstTheMentor: [[spoiler: Towards Sentinel Prime]].
* ReasonableAuthorityFigure
* RoaringRampageOfRevenge: Optimus leads a truly terrifying one when he learns that [[spoiler:Ratchet]] was slaughtered and is [[spoiler:being melted down for parts]].
* RocketBoots: Has apparently acquired them at some point between Dark of the Moon and Age of Extinction, likely as a part of the upgrades seen in Dark of the Moon.
* SelfMadeOrphan: [[spoiler:Kills Sentinel Prime, his father figure.]]
* SeriesMascot: Shares this role with Bumblebee.
* SupportingLeader: In the first film.
* [[spoiler:ThereIsNoKillLikeOverkill: Was blasting Attinger with a weapon designed for giant mechanical lifeforms, ''really'' necessary Optimus?]]
* TookALevelInBadass: In the first film, Optimus took out Bonecrusher, but could barely stand against Megatron. In the second, likely to add more emphasis on the importance of Optimus being a Prime, Optimus suddenly becomes strong enough to competently AWESOMELY battle Megatron, Starscream and Grindor at the same time! Taken UpToEleven in the third film where he leads a massive FoeTossingCharge and kills [[spoiler: Shockwave]] on one combo.
* TookALevelInCynic: By ''Age of Extinction'', years of the Autobots being hunted down by humans has caused Optimus to lose much of his faith in them, to the point where he will not hesitate to kill humans in self-defense.
* WalkingArmory: Two ion blasters, two retractable {{Hot Blade}}s, two [[HotBlade superheated]] [[HooksAndCrooks hooks]], an [[AnAxeToGrind axe]] (also superheated), and the trailer he gets in the third film adds a shield, a BFG, spiked knuckles, and a jetpack. The guy's positively armed to the teeth.
* YouAreNotReady: Refuses to share Autobot weapons advances with the humans for fear of them pointing said weapons at non-Decepticon targets. Part of this is because he's afraid of contributing to mankind destroying themselves like his own race did. In other words, if the Cybertronians weren't responsible enough not to wipe out their own race with their weapons, how is a race who are millions of years behind them supposed to?

-->''"[[Film/ElDorado Any more questions you wanna ask?]]"''
->Voiced by Mark Ryan

Sam's designated guardian, Bumblebee is a 16-foot tall yellow Autobot. His vocal processor was crushed by Megatron so he speaks through the radio in his Chevrolet Camaro form.

* AdaptationalBadass: Aside from Optimus, Bumblebee has killed the most named Decepticons: Brawl, Ravage, Skipjack, Soundwave, and Stinger.
* ArmCannon: His main weapon.
* CharacterDevelopment: He goes from scout to guardian to warrior over the course of the trilogy.
* DeadpanSnarker: He can't talk, but he gets his points across.
* FragileSpeedster: He's one of the smallest Autobots, and moves blindingly fast, but as far as strength goes, he's not anywhere near the strongest.
* HandicappedBadass
* HeroicMime: Not by choice in the first movie: backstory reveals that a battle that takes place before the films ended with Megatron ripping his arms off and then crushing his vocal processors. In the second movie, Sam says that he plays it up.
* KidAppealCharacter: Though he's much more {{Badass}} this time around.
* PintSizedPowerhouse: Compared to other Autobots, at least.
* PoorCommunicationKills: His failed attempts to inform Sam that [[spoiler:the hot girl Alice who's riding with them is a Decepticon]].
** AlternateCharacterInterpretation: [[spoiler:It seemed that he simply thought that Sam was dangerously in risk of cheating on Mikaela, given the choice of songs, and took a dislike to Alice simply on the grounds that she was an apparent man-stealer.]]
*** Since neither Bee nor the other Autobots notice that Frenzy's hitched a ride with them in the first film, the 2nd theory is more likely the case.
* SeriesMascot: Shares this role with Optimus.
* ShipperOnDeck: In the first two movies, its quite apparent he was all for Sam & Mikaela. In the first he was outright trying to play TheMatchmaker. And in the second, [[spoiler: See the AlternateCharacterInterpretation above...]] While we don't know his thoughts on "[[RealLifeWritesThePlot Sam and Mikaela's]] [[ShipSinking break up]]", but whatever the case, he like Sam has clearly moved on, and totally [[spoiler: jumped on the [[OfficialCouple Sam/Carly]] boat. Outright trying to hint that he wants Sam to propose to his new girl Carly, at the end of the third film.]]
* TheSpeechless: Due to Megatron ripping out his vocal processors prior to the first film. However, he "speaks" using radio/sound clips.
* TrueCompanions: Considers Sam this, at one point "saying" that Sam is "the person I care about most in my life. [[ForrestGump If there's anything you ever need, I won't be far away".]]

-->''"[[Film/DirtyHarry You feelin' lucky, punk?]]"''
->Voiced by Creator/JessHarnell

A grouchy war veteran and Optimus' oldest friend. Ironhide is a proud figure who enjoys fighting and likes showing off his arm cannons. He transforms into a black GMC Topkick pickup truck. [[spoiler:He is the first Autobot fatality of the third film, killed by the [[InTheBack opening betrayal shot]] of the [[FaceHeelTurn treacherous]] Sentinel Prime]].

* {{Arm Cannon}}s
** {{BFG}}s
* BadassBaritone
* BadassGrandpa
* BashBrothers: Mostly on the first movie, with Ratchet.
* BloodKnight: Though thankfully much nicer than Sideswipe.
* TheBigGuy
* CharacterDevelopment: In the first film, he was pretty cantankerous and disapproved of the Autobots' aiding humanity. By ROTF, he's happy to work with them, and even accepts orders from them. Plus, he's become cool-headed enough to be a worthy second in command of the Autobots.
* [[EtTuBrute Et Tu, Sentinel?]]: [[spoiler:His very reaction when he was shot InTheBack by Sentinel Prime.]]
* FamousLastWords: "What have you done...?"
* InTheBack: [[spoiler:How Sentinel Prime murders him.]]
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: He doesn't like humans too much, but he'll fight for them all the same.
* KilledOffForReal: [[spoiler:By Sentinel Prime.]]
* MightyGlacier[=/=]LightningBruiser: Blurs the line between the two: He's certainly slow, but quite ''agile''.
* NumberTwo: After Jazz's death, he takes on the role of the Autobots' second-in-command, leading in the field when Optimus isn't around. Upon [[spoiler: Optimus' death in Revenge of the Fallen]], he seems to take over the Autobots, though he's willing to defer to Lennox when he doesn't know something about Earth (like the terrain in Egypt).
* ProudWarriorRaceGuy: In the comics, it's noted he was initially part of the Thetacons, who were separate of the Autobots and Decepticons. Although not technically a different race, he does say "I was built for war. Your kind, simply, are not."
* RedOniBlueOni: The red to Ratchet's blue.
* SacrificialLion: [[spoiler:Sentinel Prime's coldblooded murder of Ironhide shows just how dangerously unstable the old guy has become.]]
* SociopathicHero : His TriggerHappy nature could easily associate him as such. He eventually grows out of it, though.
* TriggerHappy: Replying to Optimus scolding him for half-jokingly suggesting they slag Sam's annoying parents: "I'm just sayin' we ''could''. It's an option...". The first movie's Video Game also [[NoodleIncident implies]] that he's responsible for destroying an ''entire planet''. Though Ironhide claims that "it was gonna blow up anyway".
* UnnecessaryCombatRoll: Seems very fond of this, especially in the first movie.

-->''"[[MySensorsIndicateYouWantToTapThat The boy's pheromone levels suggest he wants to mate with the female]]."''
->Voiced by Robert Foxworth

The Autobot's medical and science officer. A former member of Cybertron's High Council, Ratchet is very diplomatic and intelligent. He transforms into a Hummer Search & Rescue truck.

* [[spoiler:AnArmAndALeg: Ratchet gets his left leg blown off by Cemetary Wind as they pursue him. He tries to use this to get them to take him alive. It doesn't work when he learns they have no intention of wanting him alive.]]
* ArmCannon: His right arm turns into a machine gun.
* BadassBookworm: He's one of the smartest Autobots and he's no slouch in combat either. If one pays attention, he is ''always'' taking part in the battles across the series, and has taken on the likes of Brawl, Megatron and Starscream, and [[spoiler: Sentinel Prime]].
** He was one of the last [[spoiler: casualties of Cemetery Wind's hunt, managing to hide and survive for four years on his own.]]
* BashBrothers: Mostly in the first movie, he's this with Ironhide.
* CombatMedic
** DeadlyDoctor: His weapons are often also medical tools, and he constantly makes use of his knowledge in combat.
* [[spoiler: DefiantToTheEnd: When he realized he wasn't going to be spared, he put up as much of a fight as he could before his death, and spat in Lockdown's face when offered a chance to survive by ratting out Optimus.]]
* DemotedToExtra: A major character in the first movie, but unlike Bumblebee or Ironhide, his screentime decreased massively by the second. The third film does try to give him more spotlight, however. [[spoiler: And the fourth film brings him back only to be KilledOffForReal, in a particularly [[CruelAndUnusualDeath brutal fashion]].]]
* [[spoiler: FaceDeathWithDignity: Though he initially panics while being hunted down, he accepts his death and lies back and waits for it.]]
* [[spoiler: FamousLastWords: "''Never.''"]]
* {{Foil}}: To Ironhide.
* FriendlySniper: If one pays attention to his fighting style, he mostly walks slowly while carefully aiming and sharpshooting his foes with precision.
* InkSuitActor: His appearance seems to be styled after Mr. Foxworth himself.
* [[spoiler: KilledOffForReal: Killed by Cemetery Wind operatives while responding to Optimus's call to arms, in ''Age of Extinction''.]]
* MySensorsIndicateYouWantToTapThat: See his quote.
* NiceGuy
* NobleProfession: Being a doctor and all.
* OfficerAndAGentleman: Alongside Optimus, the most polite of the Autobots. Overlaps with GentlemanAndAScholar.
** GentlemanSnarker: Upon being confronted by Galloway, his reaction is "This fool is terribly misinformed."
* OmnidisciplinaryScientist: Seems to know everything from chemistry, physics, biology and medicine.
* OldFriends: With Optimus, Ironhide and Bumblebee. [[spoiler: It's his death and subsequent desecration that sends Optimus over the edge in ''Age of Extinction''.]]
* TechnicalPacifist
* TheMedic
* TheProfessor: Combined with AbsentMindedProfessor in regards to humans.
* RedOniBlueOni: The blue to Ironhide's red.
* SherlockScan: In the third movie, he diagnoses Sentinel Prime without touching him.
* TheSmartGuy
* SpockSpeak: Alternates between this and SesquipedalianLoquaciousness.
* UndyingLoyalty: To Optimus and his allies in general. [[spoiler: He tells Lockdown to fuck off when the bounty hunter offers him his life in exchange for Optimus'.]]

-->''"This looks like a cool place to kick it!"''
->Voiced by Darius [=McCrary=]

Optimus' first lieutenant. He loves Earth's cultures and styles and has since taken on several of Earth's customs. He transforms into a Pontiac Solstice car.

* CoolCar: A Pontiac Solstice.
* BlackBestFriend: Shades of this because of his status as TheLancer and SoulBrotha.
* BlackDudeDiesFirst: Even when he's just a robot that downloaded 'urban vernacular' as his speech pattern from the internet. And breakdances. The only Autobot to go down in the first movie.
* FamousLastWords: "[[DefiantToTheEnd You wanna piece'a me? YOU WANNA PIECE?!]]" (to which Megatron responds: "No! I want two!")
* HalfTheManHeUsedToBe: How Megatron kills him.
* HeroicSacrifice: He deliberately stayed behind to fight Megatron; most likely knowing full well it was suicide, after telling the others to fall back. This buys enough time for Optimus to show up.
* NumberTwo: Optimus' first lietenant.
* TheLancer
* SoulBrotha

-->''"[[ArrogantKungFuGuy Damn, I'm good]]."''
->Voiced by André Sogliuzzo (ROTF), [[TheOtherDarrin James Remar]] (DOTM)

Introduced in the second film. Sideswipe is a silver-armoured Autobot with retractable blades on his arms and has wheels for feet. He is a bit of a showoff. In the tie-in comics, Sideswipe was in charge of an Autobot colony until it was destroyed by Demolishor and chased him to Earth where he joined Optimus' team. He transforms into a Corvette Stingray car. DOTM sees a slight change to a convertible variant.

* {{Badass}}
* BackpackCannon
* BladeBelowTheShoulder
** DualWielding
* BloodKnight: According to the ''Tales of the Fallen'' tie-in comic: "I am a warrior; I bleed conflict."
* ChuckCunninghamSyndrome: It's been mentioned he won't be in AOE, though it's quite possible he was also a victim of ThePurge.
* CoolCar: Shiny new Corvette.
* TheLancer: After [[spoiler: Ironhide's death]], Sideswipe is seen leading the Autobots in the battle for Chicago when Optimus isn't around.
* SociopathicHero: Tie-in comics establish him as not caring about civilian casualties. He mellows out a bit by the time he appears in the movie, though.
* RollerbladeGood
* ShoutOut / ContinuityNod: Sideswipe's backstory appears to be inspired by that of Depth Charge from ''WesternAnimation/BeastWars'', who guarded a Maximal colony until it was destroyed by Rampage.

-->''"Behold, the eternal glory of Jetfire!"''
->Voiced by Mark Ryan

An elderly Decepticon turned Autobot. He was once a Seeker Transformer, but was abandoned on Earth by the Fallen and joined the Autobots as a result. He is falling to pieces but is resourceful and actually a pretty awesome fighter. He transforms into an SR-71 Blackbird jet.

* AnAxeToGrind
* BadassBeard: Yes, [[ robots can have beards,]] why do you ask?
* BadassGrandpa: One of the oldest Cybertronians we've seen, and when he actually fights he shows how good he is.
* BeenThereShapedHistory: According to the tie-in comics, he accidentaly provoked the Spanish-American War.
* BifurcatedWeapon: His cane/axe.
* CharacterBlog: He has a [[ formspring account]].
* CoolOldGuy
* CoolPlane: His altmode is an SR-71 Blackbird, which for the uninformed holds the still-unbeaten record for fastest military aircraft.
* DeadlyUpgrade: Unusual in that [[spoiler: it's not for him. He dies to upgrade OPTIMUS.]]
* GrumpyOldMan
* HeelFaceTurn: Technically he made it decades -- if not centuries -- before the movies take place, but never got around to changing his altmode's emblem, leading to a [[OhCrap slight panic situation]] with Sam & co. at first
* HeroicSacrifice: So [[spoiler: Optimus]] could get a much needed upgrade.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold
* LargeHam
** IncomingHam: "BEHOLD! The eternal glory of...Jetfire!!!" (and of course, his first line: "What sort of hideous mausoleum is this?!")
* MrExposition: Explains what the heck the Fallen's beef with humanity is.
* SanitySlippage: In Wheelie's words, he has not aged well.
* WeirdBeard

[[folder:Arcee, Chromia, & Elita-1]]
-->''" We're on our way."''
->Voiced by GreyDeLisle, hologram rider played by Erin Naas

A trio of female Autobots who transform into motorcycles. Arcee was captured by Decepticons Thundercracker and scientist Flatline who created Chromia and Elita-1, planning to use the three as attack drones but they combined their mental links and escaped to Earth.

* ActionGirl
* ChuckCunninghamSyndrome: Absent from Film 3.
** According to the tie-in comics, she (or at least Elita-1) ran afoul of Shockwave in Philadelphia. It didn't end well for her.
** According to the Revenge of the Fallen film commentary, [[spoiler: they all died in the final battle against the Fallen]].
*** The comics overrode that however, [[spoiler: showing her alive and well post Fallen, although Elita-1 was killed by Shockwave. Arcee and Chromia survive, making her current status, as alive, just off screen with all the other comic Autobots that weren't killed by Shockwave but didn't appear in DOTM.]]
* FragileSpeedster
* HiveMind: According to some sources, but not others.
** The current accepted version in the comics is that Arcee, Chromia and Elita-1 started as three siblings and entirely separate beings. The latter two were eventually killed, with their bodies salvaged, while the third was eventually captured and experimented upon. [[NiceJobFixingItVillain Arcee's spark ended up reanimating the other two and leaving a permanent bond.]]
* CombiningMecha: Not in the movie itself, mind, but they originally would have. They still do combine in the comics and (supposedly in the [[TheMerch toyline]].)

[[folder:Skids & Mudflap]]
-->'''Skids:''' "[[SiblingRivalry You scared?]]"
-->'''Mudflap:''' "[[SiblingRivalry Scared? Scared of your ugly face!]]"
-->'''Skids:''' "[[InsultBackfire I'm ugly?]] [[RoboFamily We're twins, you stupid genius!]]"
->Voiced by TomKenny (Skids) and Reno Wilson (Mudflap)

A pair of kid-like Autobots who are identical twins save their colors (green and red).

* BashBrothers: It's averted due to their clumsiness/stupidity, despite their best efforts. They managed to play it straight for awhile against Devastator, though.
* BerserkButton: Attempting to harm or kill one of them is gonna get you into big trouble with the other.
* ChildSoldiers: According to ancillary media.
* ChuckCunninghamSyndrome: Absent from Dark of the Moon with no explanation.
** The novelization and comic adaptation have [[spoiler:Skids killed by Sentinel Prime, TakingTheBullet meant for Bumblebee. Mudflap then [[HeroicSacrifice fights Sentinel alone to buy time for the others to escape]]. It got cut from the movie due to the backlash against them, but [[DyingMomentOfAwesome it was a hell of a way to go.]]]]
* ColossusClimb: Skids tries this on Devastator; Mudflap had the benefit of already being drawn up there when Devastator ate him.
* [[IJustShotMarvinInTheFace I Just Shot Skids In The Face]]: Though luckily for Skids, this only cost him the gold tooth. He was still pretty pissed.
* HeroicSacrifice / DyingMomentOfAwesome: [[spoiler:Though written out of the film proper, the novel and comic adaptations have Skids taking a fatal shot from Sentinel Prime to protect Bumblebee immediately following Ironhide's death at Sentinel's hands. Mudflap then, in a rage, charges Sentinel and is killed by him, but in doing so gives the others the opportunity to escape]].
* PrettyFlyForAWhiteGuy: The robot equivalent, but since they're bright green and orange...
* RoboFamily: They aren't called "The Twins" for nothing.
* SiblingTeam
* SiblingYinYang: Skids ''thinks'' he's the smart one, but to everyone else they're both obviously kinda stupid. Skids is also inwardly fearful that he's ultimately the weaker of the two, which frankly he sort of is. However, they both process information much more rapidly than any of the other Earthbound Autobots, so that's something.

-->''"Jolt, electrify! Transfer those afterburners!"''

A blue-armored Autobot who becomes a Chevrolet Volt. He is shown to be an assistant to Ratchet, wielding a pair of electrical whips. [[spoiler:He is killed by Shockwave during the events between the second and third films]].

* SatelliteCharacter: He doesn't have a single line throughout the entire movie, and has no apparent importance besides [[spoiler:helping upgrade Optimus at the end]]. And he doesn't appear in any of the subsequent movies, either.
* KilledOffForReal: [[spoiler:According to the IDW tie-in comics, Jolt was at Diego Garcia when Shockwave came calling, killing Jolt as well as the other two Autobots present.]]
* RealLifeWritesThePlot: Jolt is such a minor character because he was an extremely late addition to the film, which didn't exactly make it easy for the film crew to give him a role.
* ShockAndAwe
* WhipItGood

-->''"Easy, Warrior Goddess, I'm just a little salvage-scrap drone!"''
->Voiced by TomKenny

A small salvage scrap drone used by the Decepticons as a spy. He is sent to retrieve the Allspark shard given to Mikaela by Sam, but ends up siding with the Autobots.

* AtArmsLength
* ChuckCunninghamSyndrome: Though Brains has a significant role, Wheelie doesn't appear in ''Age of Extinction''. It's conceivable that he's wherever Sam and Carly are [[spoiler:if he survived the climax of ''Dark of the Moon'']], or given what happen to his buddy Brains, a victim of ThePurge.
* DyingMomentOfAwesome
* EyeScream: His first meeting with Mikaela involves her pinning him down and taking a blowtorch to his optic.
* FamousLastWords: [[spoiler:"We had a nice run, Brains, you and me."]]
* HeelFaceTurn
* HeroicSacrifice
* NeverFoundTheBody: [[spoiler:Only implied to have been destroyed in third movie along with Brains. Brains, at least, was shown to have survived in the next motive.]]
* ItHasBeenAnHonor: See FamousLastWords.
* SparedByTheAdaptation: [[spoiler:He and Brains survive the Decepticon cruiser's crash/splash-landing in the novel.]]
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: Disappears near the end of the second film; by the third film, though, he's living with Sam and Carly.
* ThoseTwoGuys: In the third film with Brains.

--> "Want me to tell ya what I know? I can tell ya about the solar system, all the fun planets to hang out in."
-> Voiced by Reno Wilson

A Decepticon drone that gained sentience, Brains sided with the Autobots and now lives with Wheelie in Sam and Carly's apartment. He transforms into a laptop.

* AIIsACrapshoot: Was built by the Decepticons, but gained sentience and defected.
* AnArmAndALeg: When he shows up in ''AOE'', he's missing a leg and walks with a cane.
* CassandraTruth: Brains is the only one who knows of [[spoiler: Megatron's plan to manipulate KSI into building him a new body.]] It doesn't look like Joshua cares much for what he says.
* CovertPervet: Carly mentions she found Brains in her underwear drawer. From Sam's reaction, this isn't a rare thing with Brains.
* EinsteinHair: Made of what look like fibre-optic cables.
* GeniusDitz: As his name implies, he's supposed to be pretty smart, and Dark of the Moon and Age of Extinction show that he can be pretty smart, he just needs the proper incentive first.
* HeelFaceTurn: He was created to be a Decepticon, but quickly had other ideas.
* NeverFoundTheBody: [[spoiler:Only implied to have been destroyed in third movie along with Wheelie. But it's never really shown that they did die. Age of Extinction shows he survives.]]
* NiceGuy: Some reviewers even noted that while they were displeased to have another pair of comic relief characters, they actually found Brains quite likable.
* ThoseTwoGuys: With Wheelie in ''DOTM.''
* TranslatorBuddy: [[spoiler:What the builders of the man-made Transformers use him for. Though Buddy is stretching it quite a bit.]]
* TrueCompanions: With Wheelie, Sam and Carly.

[[folder:Sentinel Prime]]
->Voiced by Creator/LeonardNimoy
-->''"All I ever wanted was the survival of our race."''
The leader of the Autobot faction before Optimus Prime, who looks up to him almost as a father with admiration and respect. He transforms into a Rosenbauer fire engine.

** Creator/LeonardNimoy also played Galvatron in [[TransformersTheMovie the 1986 movie]].
* AGodAmI: [[spoiler:"We were Gods once, all of us! But here, there can be only one!]]
* AntiVillain
* BadassGrandpa: [[spoiler:Is capable of taking on the entire Autobot team by himself without breaking a sweat. Also duels Optimus (who by this point has taken out the Driller, Shockwave and a small army of Decepticons with little difficulty) and would have killed him but for Megatron's intervention.]]
* {{BFS}}: Carries one on his arm.
** DoubleWeapon
* BigBad: [[spoiler:More proactive than Megatron, the other half of the BigBadDuumvirate. Note that Michael Bay's been saying all this time that ''Shockwave'' would be the BigBad, possibly as a misinformation campaign to make Sentinel's reveal more shocking.]]
* BigNo: [[spoiler:His last words as Optimus finishes him off.]]
* BrokenPedestal
* CallingTheOldManOut: [[spoiler:Optimus does this to Sentinel during their final battle, although he's more of a father figure to him than an actual father.]]
* ChronicBackstabbingDisorder: [[spoiler:Betrayed the Autobots to join with Megatron, but then betrays Megatron later on. Also a ''literal'' example, as TheReveal that he's actually with the Decepticons comes with blasting Ironhide InTheBack.]]

->Voiced by Francesco Quinn
-->''"On the ground, per favore, and stay there!"''
A new member of the team in the third film who speaks with an Italian accent. While he doesn't do much, what little there is of him in the film does have him as a [[BashBrothers combat partner with Sideswipe]].

* BladeBelowTheShoulder
* ChuckCunninghamSyndrome: Is absent from ''AOE'', but was possibly killed in ThePurge.
** TheCharacterDiedWithHim: Could qualify as this if he died in ThePurge, as Francesco Quinn passed away months after ''DOTM'' came out, and no voice actor replaced Quinn.
* CoolCar: His alt-mode is a Ferrari 458 Italia
* DeathByAdaptation: [[spoiler:Wheeljack's death in the movie is how Mirage died in the novelization, while Wheeljack dies in an entirely different manner.]]
* ShoutOut: His name is an homage to Alfredo "Dino" Ferrari, son of the company founder Enzo Ferrari.
* SuddenNameChange: In [[TransformersDarkoftheMoon ''Dark of the Moon'']] he is reffered to in-film as "Dino", but "Mirage" in the merchandise.
* ToylessToylineCharacter: So far his only toys are a small Legion-scale figure which is a PaletteSwap of Sideways, and a [[ die-cast]] [[ShowAccuracyToyAccuracy which doesn't look like his car mode.]] (then it must be considered that Hasbro has the problem of Mattel retaining the rights for Ferrari toys)

* NonActionGuy: Rather ironically, given all the weapons he carries on his person. Nonetheless, he's clearly not that great in a straight-up fight, as evidenced by his getting blown up by Shockwave in ''Rising Storm'', [[spoiler:and how easily he fell to the 'Cons in Chicago, resorting to begging for his life before Barricade snuffs him out.]]
* ShoutOut: To the character Q from the ''Film/JamesBond'' franchise. He's also a real-life shout out to a certain German scientist.
* SuddenNameChange: In [[Film/TransformersDarkoftheMoon ''Dark of the Moon'']] he is reffered to in-film as "Que", but "Wheeljack" in the merchandise.

[[folder:The Wreckers]]
!!Leadfoot, Roadbuster, and Topspin

-->''"This is going to hurt... alot!"''

Mechanical engineers, warriors, and (according to the novelization) {{NASCAR}} fans, the Wreckers were left to look after an Autobot ship in NASA custody.

* ChromaticArrangement
* CoolShades
* {{Jerkass}}: This is explained as why they weren't active with the other Autobots; they don't get along well with humans.
** JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Despite that, they're all for defending humanity with the other Autobots. Leadfoot even reassures Sam that "We ain't goin nowhere."
* KilledOffForReal: [[spoiler: All of them, presumably, but Leadfoot dies on camera.]]
* TheOtherDarrin: It's certainly not John DiMaggio voicing Leadfoot for his one line in ''AOE''.
* SociopathicHero
* TheVoiceless: Topspin.
* WeaponizedCar: Their alternate modes seem to automatically be like this - weaponized NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Chevrolet Impalas: Topspin becomes the #48 of Jimmie Johnson, Leadfoot becomes the #42 of Juan Pablo Montoya, and Roadbuster becomes the #88 of Dale Earnhardt, Jr. These alternate modes also appeared in the parade laps for the 2011 Daytona 500.
* ViolentGlaswegian: Leadfoot and Roadbuster both have Scottish accents, and if you need proof of the "violent" bit, there's how they kill that Decepticon pilot at the beginning of the FinalBattle...

-->"We got the gang back together!"
->Voiced by John Goodman

Introduced in the fourth film as a new member of Optimus' team, transforms into a [[AwesomePersonnelCarrier Oshkosh Defense Medium Tactical Vehicle]].

* {{Acrofatic}}: Being that big doesn't really slow him down. As he puts it:
-->"I'm a fat ballerina!"
* AdaptationalBadass: He's a grenade-chucking, pistol-firing blend of Bulkhead, Ironhide, Roadbuster, and Kup. He fits the bill.
* {{Badass}}
** BadassBeard: It may even put Sentinel's to shame.
* BigFun: Despite being an armory on legs, he's rather jolly, and even dances with Bumblebee and Tessa in a deleted scene.
* TheBigGuy: He's the most powerful Autobot besides Optimus and the Dinobots, and is a dead ringer for the trope personality-wise.
* BoisterousBruiser
* CigarChomper: The bullet he holds in his mouth evokes this.
* CompositeCharacter: He's named after G1 Hound, but he seems more based on Bulkhead of ''WesternAnimation/TransformersAnimated'' and ''WesternAnimation/TransformersPrime'', being a big, green, friendly bulky guy, with a bit of Kup and Roadbuster from G1 thrown in.
* GatlingGood: His default weapon is a powerful triple barreled mini gun.
** MoreDakka: ...And by "triple barreled" we mean ''three separate 6-barreled mini guns, in a triangular set-up''.
* ImprobableWeaponUser As he runs out of ammo, he ends up [[WeaponizedHeadgear throwing his]] NiceHat at the oncoming Vehicon onslaught, using his belt as a melee weapon, and (quite awesomely) firing his bullet-cigar into the face of a Vehicon.
* InkSuitActor: Looks quite a bit like John Goodman himself.
* UndyingLoyalty: To Optimus.
* WalkingArmory: He carries a multitude of guns and explosives that he uses to great effect, though it it isn't ''quite'' enough to take care of the dozens of Vehicons he fights in Hong Kong. By the time the movie ends, he is completely out of ammo, and forced to rely on

Introduced in the fourth film, a paratrooper who transforms into a green 2014 Chevrolet Corvette C7 Stingray.

* AwesomeAussie: Has a bit of this.
* {{Badass}}
** BadassBaritone: Comes with being voiced by John [=DiMaggio=].
** BadassLongcoat: His alternate mode kibble forms a long, flowing cloak.
* BloodKnight: He's certainly having fun flipping through the skies of Chicago and gunning down Decepticons.
* {{Expy}}: Of Sideswipe, who was also a BloodKnight who had a Corvette Stingray as an alternate mode.
* GunsAkimbo: During the battle in Chicago he proceeds to do this while descending from the skies, parachutes deployed. See [[ here]].
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Much like the Wreckers, he's a bit of an asshole, but he'll come through in the end.
* TheLancer

-->Voiced by Creator/KenWatanabe

An Autobot tactician and a former Decepticon who transforms into a black and blue 2013 Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse, as well as an unspecified attack helicopter.

* {{Badass}}
* DualWielding: Has two samurai swords that he stows on his back. On a larger scale, he's a Triplechanger.
* EverythingsBetterWithSamurai: His robot mode is essentially a robotic samurai.
* HeelFaceTurn: Pulled one before the events of the fourth film.
** However, he still resents the fact that he's had to tolerate Bumblebee's attempts at leadership as he views the young Autobot as inexperienced and unfit to lead.
* TheSmartGuy: His toy bio indicate he's this for the Autobots.
* TheStrategist: Also indicated in his toy bio.
* UndyingLoyalty: To his ''sensei'', Optimus.
* WrongGenreSavvy: He thought that Grimlock's alt mode was going to be a "giant car".

[[folder:The Dinobots]]
!!Appearing in the Movie: Grimlock, Strafe, Slug, and Scorn
!!Other members: Slash, Slog, Snarl

* AdaptationNameChange: Slug the Triceratops was originally Slag[[note]]although, [[NamesTheSame confusingly]] [[WesternAnimation/TransformersAnimated Snarl]] has also been another name for him[[/note]]. Slog the Brontosaurus was originally Sludge. Slag's name has been "officially" [[{{Retcon}} changed to Slug since 2007]], mainly because of a case of [[CountryMatters his name meaning "slut" in the United Kingdom]].
* {{Badass}}
** BadassCrew
* BreathWeapon: Grimlock is shown having a fiery breath that can burn Transformers.
* CanonForeigner / CanonImmigrant / GodCreatedCanonForeigner: Strafe, Slash and Scorn. Strafe is a semi-{{Expy}} of Swoop, but Scorn and Slash are both completely new characters, and there were never any Theropod-based Dinobots aside from Grimlock.
* EverythingsBetterWithDinosaurs: They're Dinobots, come on. Every moment with them onscreen is made to look awesome as much as possible.
** DinosaursAreDragons: All of them have designs that invoke a draconic appearance to them. And hey, Grimlock breathes fire.
* DeathFromAbove: Strafe is a giant, two-headed Pteranodon in his dino-mode and commonly employs this tactic.
* DefeatMeansFriendship: Optimus has to smack around Grimlock, the leader, for the rest of the Dinobots to follow his lead.
* FamedInStory: Implied. Upon seeing Grimlock, Optimus says (in Cybertonian) "The Legends Are True". Pretty blatantly stated when Optimus shows them to Drift and Crosshairs, calling them "Legendary Warriors".
* GiantFlyer: Strafe. He's big enough to have two car-sized Transformers[[note]]Bumblebee and Stinger[[/note]] on him at once.
* KillItWithFire: As stated previously, Grimlock has fire breath in Dino-mode that is hot enough to cook Transformers.
* LargeAndInCharge: Subverted - Grimlock is obstensibly the leader, but is only the second largest. True to life, Scorn the Spinosaur dwarfs the other three.
** Likely to be subverted even more once Slog appears on screen, as even though the Apatosaurus isn't the biggest of the sauropods, it's still far bigger than a Spinosaurus.
* LightningBruiser: All of them move fast and hit hard despite towering over most of the other Transformers in the film. However, each member seems to fall into a more specific role amongst themselves.
** FragileSpeedster: Slash is implied [[AllThereInTheManual as such in the toy's bios]]. Mainly because he's far smaller than the others.
** MightyGlacier: Slog and Slug.
* MultipleHeadCase: Strafe is a pterosaur with two heads.
* StockDinosaurs: Albeit with each one having an element of the fantastic.
** {{Pterosoarer}}: Strafe is a two-headed pteranodon.
** TyrannosaurusRex: Grimlock is a horned T. rex.
** RaptorAttack: Slash is a Velociraptor with metal spikes covering his body.
** Slug is a Triceratops with a spiked tail.
** Scorn is a Spinosaurus with multiple sails.
** Slog is an Apatosaurus with rows of spikes along his back.
** Snarl is a Stegosaurus with... [[TheLastOfTheseIsNotLikeTheOthers not much different from a regular Stegosaurus aside from being robotic]].
* TheJuggernaut: Scorn apparently. [[AllThereInTheManual According to his toy's bio]] "''His massive size makes him almost impossible to bring down''".
* TheSquad
** TheLeader: Grimlock, as always. Implied to be a SergeantRock [[AllThereInTheManual in his toy's Bio]] with a bit of SinkOrSwimMentor thrown in.
** DemolitionsExpert: This is Scorn's job in the team, which he apparently does ''frighteningly'' well.
** TheSneakyGuy: Slash fills the stealth role
** TheBigGuy: Slug.
** TheFace / FriendlySniper: Strafe. Off the battlefield anyway. On the battlefield he's a ColdSniper.
* TheVoiceless: None of them say a word. It's not clear if they even can speak, but Grimlock seems to understand what Optimus is saying.
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: When the first information on ''Age of Extinction'' was revealed, there were seven Dinobots and their alt-modes named. [[RaptorAttack Slash]], Slog[[note]]Sludge for those who know Gen 1[[/note]], and Snarl are nowhere to be seen in the film.

-->''"[[MyNameIsInigoMontoya I AM... MEGATRON.]]"''
->Voiced by HugoWeaving

Megatron is the leader of the Decepticons. Corrupted by the power of the Allspark and the Fallen's influence, he wages war on Cybertron. He chased after the Allspark after it was launched into space, but he crashed into the Arctic Circle and froze. What happens next is pretty coincidental.

* ArmCannon: It wouldn't be Megatron, otherwise. ''ROTF'' has it incorporated directly into his arm.
* AuthorityEqualsAsskicking
* AxCrazy
* BackFromTheDead: He's revived in ''ROTF'' [[spoiler: and again in ''AOE'', this time as Galvatron]].
* {{Badass}}: Just as powerful as Optimus, but much more ferocious, which often gives him the upper hand. As long as you don't rip his face apart and cripple him, he can also shrug off hits from tanks and other Transformers as if they were nothing. Yet, said crippling does happen at the end of the second movie...
** RetiredBadass: Due to his injuries from the second film, he becomes an evil variant in ''DOTM''. Instead of fighting, he spends most of his time commanding his {{Mooks}} [[spoiler:and peacefully watching Cybertron about to be restored]]. It takes [[spoiler:Carly, of all people,]] to rouse him back into action, and [[spoiler:he plays a significant part in defeating Sentinel - [[CurbStompBattle only for ''both'' villains to be ripped to shreds by Optimus]]]].
* BadBoss
* BatmanGambit: In ''DOTM''. [[spoiler: He knew the Autobots would find Sentinel Prime on the moon and reactivate him. Since he and Sentinel had agreed to work together, all Megatron needed was for the Prime to gain the Control Pillar for the Space Bridge from NEST, thus allowing them to carry out their long term plans.]]
* TheBerserker
* BreakTheHaughty: Got broken hard, ''twice'' in ''ROTF''. First by the "insects" when their tanks and machineguns totally screwed him over and forced him to retreat, and then by Optimus Prime, who tossed him aside like no business during his match against the Fallen; blasting half of his face off, leaving him bleeding and calling for Starscream.
* BigBad: In the first and third films, as part of a BigBadDuumvirate with [[spoiler:[[FaceHeelTurn Sentinel Prime]]]] in the latter.
* {{BFG}}: His fusion cannon, which forms out of both his hands.
* CainAndAbel: Arguably, his relationship with Optimus.
* CapturedSuperEntity: He was dug up and kept in a classified area for research before the events of the first movie.
* HumanPopsicle: Cybertronian popsicle, in the first movie.
* DangerouslyGenreSavvy: In ''DOTM'', he spends most of his time commanding {{Mooks}} from the sidelines rather than fighting himself. The fact that this is probably because of his injured state is strongly supported by [[spoiler: the ease with which Optimus kills him once Megs ''does'' fight after Carly makes a huge blow to his ego]].
** [[spoiler: In ''AOE'', he knows of KSI's plan to produce man-made Vehicon drones, and waits for the right moment to take over one as his new body.]]
* {{Determinator}}: You have to admire his dedicated pursuit of his goals. Once he's set his mind to it, anything short of decapitation is not going to stop him.
* DiminishingVillainThreat: In the first movie, Megatron was an unstoppable killing machine. In the second movie, Megatron was still very powerful, but obeyed orders from The Fallen and was more easily taken down by the heroes. Optimus severely cripples Megatron, causing him to become much weaker for the third movie. [[spoiler: Then the fourth movie undoes this by having him upload his brain into his much more powerful Galvatron body - and by out-maneuvering the main human villain, at that.]]
* TheDragon: In the second movie.
** TheHeavy
* EnemyMine: [[spoiler:He pulls this on both sides in the recent movie: He sides with Sentinel Prime to stop humanity and the Autobots, although he later ends up aiding Optimus in eliminating Sentinel Prime after the latter betrayed him, only for Optimus to kill both him and Sentinel Prime.]]
* EpicFlail
* EvilOverlord
* EvilSoundsDeep: Being voiced by Hugo Weaving in the first trilogy does help.
* FantasticRacism: Against organic lifeforms.
* FatalFlaw: {{Pride}}. [[spoiler: In ''DOTM'', the Decepticons were very close to victory, but the idea of ''someone else'' being the one to lead them to it really didn't sit well with him. His following actions ended up [[NiceJobFixingItVillain ruining everything]].]]
* GeniusBruiser: Implied by his official bio, but ''DOTM'' and supplemental material reveal his somewhat elaborate scheming tendencies.
* GutturalGrowler
* HeelFaceTurn: [[spoiler:In the novel - see SparedByTheAdaptation below.]]
* HowTheMightyHaveFallen: By the third film, this describes him pretty well.
* [[ImAHumanitarian I'm a Cybertronitarian]]: Ancilliary material describes him as cannibalistic, but it doesn't really show up in the movies.
* InTheHood: In the third film.
* JokerImmunity: Oh, did you really think he'd stay down? [[spoiler:Returns as Galvatron in the fourth film after his apparent permanent death in ''DOTM''.]]
* TheJuggernaut
* LargeHam \ EvilIsHammy
* LightningBruiser
* ManipulativeBastard / TheChessmaster: Shows shades of this in ''DOTM''.
* OffWithHisHead: Is beheaded by Optimus at the end of ''DOTM''. [[spoiler: The head's still alive.]]
* OnlyMostlyDead: Until ''Revenge of the Fallen'', [[spoiler: and again in ''Dark of the Moon'']].
* ParentalIssues: In the IDW comics, where all the anger in him was over the fact that Optimus, not Megatron, was Sentinel's favorite.
* PetTheDog: Megatron's reaction in DOTM at seeing Cybertron again and thinking it saved. It really showed how he did care for something other than himself.
* RedEyesTakeWarning
* SealedEvilInACan: In ''Film/{{Transformers}}'', he is kept on ice inside the Hoover Dam, and is pretty angry upon thawing out.
* ShotgunsAreJustBetter: Ditches his fusion cannon for one in DOTM.
* SlouchOfVillainy: Likes doing it so much that the only reason he blasts apart Abe's statue in the Lincoln Memorial is because the chair is the right size for him.
* SparedByTheAdaptation: [[spoiler:The novel of ''DOTM'' has him actually teaming up with Optimus against Sentinel ("Three shall stand, one shall fall!") and then suing for peace, sincerely admitting he's tired of all the fighting. Optimus lets him go, and Megatron then heads back for Cybertron, aiming to corral the Decepticons still there into helping rebuild their homeworld, with the intention of calling the Autobots back when they're done to live in peace again]].
* TookALevelInBadass: Becomes a bigger threat once again in ''Age of Extinction'' after he [[spoiler:uploads his brain to his Galvatron body. See Galvatron's section below for details.]]
* VillainousRescue: He comes to the rescue of [[spoiler: Optimus Prime]] when he realized by the end of the invasion he will be nothing more than [[spoiler: "Sentinel's bitch."]]
* WoundThatWillNotHeal: The facial injuries he sustained in ''ROTF''. It didn't help that he casually killed the repair-bots like fleas when he got bored or angry.
* WellIntentionedExtremist: Arguably the case, considering that he apparently desires the survival and future of the Transformer race in the Second movie, and apparently by the time of the third, apparently he was in on wanting to restore Cybertron.
* XanatosGambit: One spanning several millennia.
** Option A: Follow The Fallen's plan to use the Harvester to produce Energon, or power the AllSpark.
** Option B: Work with [[spoiler: Sentinel]] and bring Earth's resources to repair Cybertron.
** Option C: Take the AllSpark for himself.
** All three options end up coinciding and crossing over; he originally chose Option B until [[spoiler: Sentinel was apparently killed]]. He decided to follow Option A, until the Allspark was launched from Cybertron. The Fallen instructed him to retrieve it, and he followed it to Earth, where the Allspark had been drawn to thanks to the Harvester. When the Allspark was destroyed, he fell back on The Fallen's plan, but when Prime received the Matrix, Megatron fell back on Option B, which thanks to Soundwave had been brewing for decades already.

The BiggerBad than Megatron, The Fallen is [[spoiler: the true founder of the Decepticons.]] Having FantasticRacism against humanity, he tries to wipe them out by building a Sun Harvester machine on Earth, but is thwarted by his fellow Primes. Years later, he returns to exact his revenge.

* AxCrazy: In his backstory (where he murdered all of his brothers solely because of FantasticRacism that they disagreed with). In the movie proper, he is more restrained (see DangerouslyGenreSavvy).
* BigBad: Of Revenge of the Fallen.
** BiggerBad: Of the entire movieverse franchise before DOTM.
* DangerouslyGenreSavvy: Rather than go out and get killed, ''he absolutely refuses to leave his lair until Optimus is dead''. Reason being, it's stated that only another Prime is capable of killing him and he's well aware that he needs to take this fact dead serious. [[spoiler: And when Optimus is being brought back, the Fallen ''steals the Matrix of Leadership'' while he's being healed]].
* EvilSoundsDeep: It's Creator/TonyTodd.

* SimpleStaff
* TheSociopath: In contrast to [[WellIntentionedExtremist Megatron]], The Fallen couldn't care less for the Cybertronian race, the safety of his homeworld or any similar noble goal, he is merely a bloodthirsty maniac killing whoever he sees fit (read: [[OmnicidalManiac everyone]]).

-->''"[[TemptingFate Not to call you a coward, master,]] [[GenreSavvy but sometimes, cowards do survive.]]"''

Megatron's [[TheDragon Dragon]].

* AcePilot: Not a pilot since he actually ''is'' the plane, but over the course of three movies, Starscream was never bested in the skies.
* AdaptationalBadass: Somewhat. He is definitely a capable fighter throughout all three films, but he's much more toadying and sycophantic.
* CoolPlane: His alt mode is an F-22 Raptor, which some would call ''the'' cool plane of the modern age.
* CombatPragmatist: In the first movie, instead of fighting on the ground like his fellow 'Cons, he takes advantage of the fact he can fly while his enemies can't, and simply ambushes them from the skies.
* DirtyCoward: As his quote shows. Interestingly, he's still quite a fearsome foe in combat.
* TheDragon
* EyeScream: [[spoiler:Gets his optics gouged out by [[TookALevelInBadass Sam]].]]
* GenreSavvy: "Sometimes, cowards ''do'' survive."
* KilledMidSentence: [[spoiler:"I'm gonna kill y--"(BOOM!).]]
* KilledOffForReal: [[spoiler:By Sam.]]
* NervousWreck: A villainous version of the trope, he's always at the verge of having a nervous breakdown whenever Megatron is around (But then again, he does work for [[BadBoss Megatron]]).
* NobleDemon: According to the tie-in comics, the only reason he remains with the Decepticons despite having no respect for Megatron is because he feels that he nonetheless feels it is his duty to protect the Decepticons from other Starscreams who actually won't lead them effectively.
* RedEyesTakeWarning
* SmugSnake
* TheStarscream: He's less proactive than other incarnations, although he was happy to leave Megatron to die in Mission City. This comes back to bite him when Megatron [[BackFromTheDead makes his return]].
** Then again, the mere fact that he could lead the Decepticons quite effectively in the tens of thousands of years of Megatron's absence would probably have Starscream being justified in feeling that he's the better leader compared to Megatron.
* TopHeavyGuy: He's almost triangle-shaped in order to keep him around the same height as the Autobots.
* VillainousBreakdown: [[spoiler:He completely loses his slag when Sam stabs him in the eyes, flailing and screaming like a madman as he frantically tries to yank the bomb out of his optic.]]

* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: The prequel novel to ROTF reveals that [[spoiler:he was damaged in battle by the Autobots shortly before ROTF, and was likely still recovering by the time the film's events took place]].
** The UK comics are having a lot of fun with this - Barricade and Ironhide co-host the letters page, and Barricade fluctuates between treating the movies with disdain and demanding more screentime.

* {{Starfish Alien|s}}: [[ Just look at him.]]
* TeamMom: [[AllThereInTheManual According to the toy bio.]]

* CombiningMecha
* EverythingsBetterWithMonkeys: Built like a gorilla.
* ExplosiveInstrumentation: He's the cause of a meta-example. Devastator is likely ILM's greatest accomplishment to date. "Took the ILM equipment to its limits" as in ''smoking and melting one of the motherboards''. [[WhatCouldHaveBeen He was originally going to be play a bigger role]], but the destruction of a very expensive computer put an end to that. In fact, the go-to explanation for why an Autobot from [=RotF=] is not present for the third film seems to be "Shockwave did it."
* MightyGlacier: In the game. He's got an incredible defense and a top damage gun, but he runs like a turtle and is the only character in the game that doesn't have a vehicle form.
* PsychoForHire: Functions as Megatron's top assassin, and absolutely ''revels'' in slaughtering Autobots in the most brutal way possible.
* TheQuietOne: Has one, maybe two, lines in the entire film, yet unlike the other characters who get hit with that, he's a significant presence.
** Notably only in the final film, though; in the comic adaptation, he's actually quite talkative.
* SealedEvilInACan: [[AllThereInTheManual Prequel comics]] for ''Film/TransformersDarkOfTheMoon'' reveal him to be this; he was found by the USSR decades ago and had been sealed under Chernobyl for years. When he gets out, he's ''ticked off''.

[[folder:The Driller]]

Shockwave's warbeast/"pet", essentially a massive MechanicalLifeform version of a SandWorm. Drillers are Cybertron's apex predators. This absolutely humongous beast (in the novel, Optimus outright calls this particular specimen the largest Driller ever seen) was, at some point, tamed by Shockwave. It travelled to Earth with him, was entombed in cryo-stasis by the Russians with him, and woke up when he did. Large and strong enough to bring down a skyscraper (by tunneling into and up through it, finding a weak spot, wrapping around, and then making like a boa constrictor). [[spoiler:Killed by Optimus Prime]].

* {{Badass}}
* FeatheredFiend
* ManipulativeBastard

* OffWithHisHead: [[spoiler:His death, courtesy of Bumblebee.]]
* PintSizedPowerhouse: Compared to other transformers, that is.

[[folder:The Dreads]]
!!Crankcase, Crowbar, and Hatchet

* AnimalMotifs: '''Crow'''bar has raven-like features, Hatchet's robot mode is a giant, hungry alien lion, and Crankcase, in addition to looking like the Predator, resembles some manner of stag beetle.
* AlienHair: All three of these have this, but Crowbar's in particular are long, Medusa-like tendrils.
* CombatPragmatist: In their battle with Ironhide and Sideswipe, Crankcase and Crowbar drop their weapons and feign surrender, only to whip out hidden spears and attempt to pull a cheap shot on their would-be captors.
* EliteMooks: Their bios describe the Dreads as an elite infiltration unit, specialising in assassination of high-value Autobot targets and hacking enemy systems to acquire vital data.
* FlippingTheBird: Crankcase's middle finger is longer than the others. As such, some shipments of his toy came with it snipped, while Takara-Tomy opted to simply remold the hand entirely.
* PantheraAwesome: Hatchet.
* TerribleTrio
* ThemeNaming: Crowbar and Hatchet are both named for objects that can be used as weapons. Their team name is derived from the fact that all three of them have robo-dreadlocks.
** OddNameOut: Crankcase.

A non-aligned bounty hunter, commonly aligned with the Decepticons. Lockdown's all business, though. Give him a target, and he'll get it back to you with no distractions or issues, for the right price. He makes his debut in the fourth film, on the trail of Optimus Prime, at the behest of his mysterious client.

* ArcWords: "Who sent you here?" A question posed by Optimus upon his defeat. WordOfGod is that Lockdown's presence heralds the coming of an evil much more sinister than he is, a plot thread that will be explored in future films as well.
* {{Badass}}: Is one of the few Transformers capable of taking on Optimus in a straight up fight, [[spoiler: and he even managed to capture the Dinobots alive.]]
** BadassBaritone
* BigBad: Of the fourth film. He is the single most consistent and deadly foe faced by the main characters.
** BigBadEnsemble: With Galvatron and Attinger.
* BountyHunter
* CanonImmigrant: He heralds from WesternAnimation/TransformersAnimated, and previously made appearances in the IDW G1 continuity.
* CollectorOfTheStrange: WordOfGod is that his ship is full of Easter eggs and various items that won't be explained right away.
* CombatPragmatism: He's stronger and faster than most Autobots; however, Optimus and the Dinobots have him beat in terms of sheer might, firepower, and skill. He can still deal with them due to this trope, as he dances around them, using the terrain around them to pummel them, calling in outside help, and sniping them when they're distracted.
* CommonKnowledge: Despite the meme, Lockdown's face doesn't turn into a gun; it comes out of his chest and is merely ''mounted'' on his face.
* ConsummateProfessional: Unlike most Decepticons he's not particularly nasty or racist against humans. He's not interested in subjugating or slaughtering humanity just because he's stronger unlike nearly all previous ones. He even honors his bargain with Attinger and gives him the Seed once he has Optimus, when he could have easily double crossed and killed them.
* EvilBrit: Courtesy of Mark Ryan.
* EvilSoundsDeep
* TheHeavy: In a sense to his client.
* HeroKiller: He solidifies how dangerous and brutal he is in his first appearance by shooting a wounded [[spoiler: Ratchet]] and then ripping his spark out when he refused to reveal the location of Optimus Prime. He nearly [[spoiler: kills Optimus as well during their final confrontation when he ran him through with his own sword]], and he also almost killed [[spoiler: Cade]] as well when [[spoiler: Cade]] interfered in his fight with Optimus.
* HookHand: Though this time, it's retractable, and doesn't replace his hand.
* ImplacableMan: He walks in a very professional, unnerving fashion reminiscent of the Terminators.
* KnightOfCerebus: Easily one of the most ruthless villains in the series.
* LightningBruiser: For being a particularly large Transformer, he's extremely fast and strong. He's able to get Optimus on the ropes, despite three much larger Decepticons previously at best only wearing Optimus down. When combined with [[CombatPragmatism pragmatism]], he's even able to go toe-to-toe with the likes of Optimus; however, Prime is a stronger and better fighter, and can defeat him in a sheer contest of skill and strength.
* PunchClockVillain: Don't get us wrong; Lockdown is as brutal as any antagonist we've seen before; but once he claims his target, he's simply going to leave Earth to collect his payment from his client. He's not interested in the war at all.
* SmugSmiler: Sports a truly unnerving smile when he's taken down Optimus.
* SpikesOfVillainy: Though less so than his previous counterparts.

* BackFromTheDead: Sort of. [[spoiler:He isn't a new character, but rather Megatron in a new body.]]
* {{Composite Character}}: He's a mixture of the ''Transformers'' archetypes of Galvatron and Nemesis Prime.
* EvilCounterpart: He was supposed to be a Vehicon version of Optimus Prime, but the programmers were unable to make anything besides his alt mode resemble Optimus.

* SchrodingersCat: Dead in the novels, but Michael Bay has expressed interest in bringing him back in the 3rd film.

[[folder:Leo Spitz]]
-->''"[[ConspiracyTheorist I'm the key to this. The aliens, they want me 'cause of my site.]]"''
->Played by Ramon Rodriguez

* ButtMonkey
* ConspiracyTheorist: Who finds out that, much to his misfortune, one of his theories is right.
* InnocentBystander
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse / ChuckCunninghamSyndrome: Totally absent from ''Dark of the Moon'' (despite Michael Bay's "[[LyingCreator misinformation campaign]]" stating otherwise before the film's release).

-->'''Galloway''':''"So let me ask: If we ultimately conclude that our national security is best served by denying you further asylum on our planet, will you leave peacefully?"''
-->'''Optimus Prime''':''"Freedom is your right. If you make that request, we will honor it. But before your President decides, please ask him this: [[FridgeHorror What if we leave, and you're wrong?]]"''
->Played by John Benjamin Hickey

* BullyingADragon.: He insults Optimus and the other bots, constantly makes demands of them, and threatens to expel them from Earth. Apparently, the fact that they're giant alien robots (the smallest of which is ''as tall as a small building''), who could easy turn him into a greasy smear on the ground if they were malicious enough, means nothing to him.
* DroppedABridgeOnHim: [[spoiler:Casually killed by Shockwave in the pre-DOTM comic, when Shockwave busts his way into a NEST base and slaughters every human and Autobot that gets in his way.]]
* {{Jerkass}}
* HeelFaceTurn: In the pre-DOTM comics, after the Autobots save his life.
* ObstructiveBureaucrat: "This fool is terribly misinformed."

[[folder:General Morshower]]
->Played by Glenn Morshower

* BenevolentBoss
* ReasonableAuthorityFigure
* YouLookFamiliar: Played by the same actor as the the doomed base commander in the first movie. Even shared ReasonableAuthorityFigure and BenevolentBoss tropes. But he's a different character.

[[folder:Carly Spencer]]
-->''"[[CoolCar I love this car]]."''
-->Played by Rosie Huntington-Whiteley

* ActionSurvivor
* BeautyIsNeverTarnished: Throughout this film, with all the stuff she goes through with Sam, she never has a hair out of place or any scrapes to her flawless skin, whereas Sam looks like he's on the verge of needing to be in the emergency room.
* HannibalLecture: Rare ''heroic'' example executed on [[spoiler: Megatron]], calling him [[spoiler: "Sentinel's bitch"]] and prompting him to [[spoiler: save Optimus Prime's life]].
* MsFanservice
* MythologyGag: [[spoiler: At the end of the film, Bumblebee hints at his wanting Sam to propose to Carly. In the original [[TransformersGeneration1 cartoon]], Carly and Spike (the character Sam is based off of) got [[OfficialCouple married]] and even in some continuities, [[BabiesEverAfter had a son]].]]
* [[spoiler: OfficialCouple:]] [[spoiler: With Sam, as MythologyGag above states... It's safe to say they are this in the film series, Sam himself said in DOTM-to his parents-"She's ''The One''", and again-that MythologyGag bit stated above.]]
* SecondLove: [[spoiler: Well, she did pop in after Mikaela, and see above, LastGirlWins... probably helps that she's the original canon love interest.]]
* StatuesqueStunner
* SuspiciouslySimilarSubstitute
* TheReasonYouSuckSpeech: Carly pulls a short one on [[spoiler: Megatron when she sees via telescope how Sentinel Prime pushes him around, telling him how he, as the Decepticon leader is forced to play second banana and will ultimately end up being [[ThisIsForEmphasisBitch "Sentinel's bitch."]] She more or less deduced that his ego wouldn't be able to handle it, which it can't, causing him to go after Sentinel just before he could kill Optimus.]]

[[folder:Dylan Gould]]
--> ''"When it's not your war, you pick the side that's going to win."''
--> Played by Patrick Dempsey

* BewareTheNiceOnes: [[spoiler:When we first meet him, he's a bit full of himself and ''way'' too close to Carly for Sam's comfort, but there's nothing that immediately signals him to be a major threat. Then we learn he's working for the Decepticons and his darker persona starts taking over, continuing on to his VillainousBreakdown.]]
* BigNo: When [[spoiler: he struggles with Sam for the Control Pillar.]]
* CoolCar: Has a big damn collection/museum of restored antique cars.
* DirtyCoward: [[spoiler: Sides with the Decepticons and ''sells out his own species'' so that he can walk out scot-free while everyone else is enslaved.]]
* EvenEvilHasStandards: [[spoiler:He tells Soundwave to ease off on using his tentacles on Carly. Perhaps even he was [[{{Squick}} squicked]] out by them.]]
* EvilCounterpart: [[spoiler:Like Sam, he has his own robot vehicle, but him and the vehicle both have more malicious intentions. He also notes both him and Sam were "chosen ones" to aid the Alien cause, but in very different ways.]]
* {{Expy}}: Of the ''Generation One'' character [[spoiler: Shawn Berger.]]
* FamousLastWords: [[spoiler:"You think you're a hero? Huh? ''You think you're a HERO!?''" Sam's response: "No. [[IronicEcho I'm just]] [[PreMortemOneLiner a messenger]]!"]]
* HannibalLecture: [[spoiler: To Sam, before his death. See FamousLastWords.]]
* ItsAllAboutMe: [[spoiler: Has shades of this in the third act, where he's perfectly okay with the Decepticons' taking over Chicago on the grounds that he's unharmed.]]
* ItsPersonal: [[spoiler: His reasoning for Soundwave to execute the Autobot prisoners. Contrast to his attitude earlier, where he considered his role in the Decepticons' plan as a simple job.]]
* IGaveMyWord: [[spoiler:When he holds Carly hostage so Sam will spy on the Autobots, he promises that she'll be out of harm's way. And he actually does keep his word.]]
* IveComeTooFar: [[spoiler: Refuses to hear Sam out when the latter pleads with him to not reactivate the Control Pillar, stating "There's only one future for me!"]]
* KarmicDeath: [[spoiler:He reactivates the Control Pillar for the Space Bridge in order to help the Decepticons complete their plan (he was promised that he would spared after the takeover). Meets his end when Sam knocks him into the Pillar, electrocuting him to death.]]
* LesCollaborateurs
* MeaningfulName: A rich man whose surname is Go(u)ld.
* NothingPersonal / JustFollowingOrders: [[spoiler:He views assisting the Decepticons as simply working with "clients," and goes through with their plan in order to ensure that he doesn't get killed off.]]
* SkewedPriorities: "Not the couch! It's Ralph Lauren!"
* SurvivalMantra: "I'm safe... they said I'd be safe..."
* VillainousBreakdown: [[spoiler:Starts off relatively cool and collected, but becomes more violent as the Autobots gain the advantage in battle. Arguably [[JustifiedTrope justified]], as he was sure the Cons would win the war, and the Autobots getting closer to victory means he'll have to be responsible for his actions.]]
* WellIntentionedExtremist: [[spoiler:How he views himself. In reality, [[DirtyCoward not so much]].]]

[[folder:Charlotte Mearing]]
---> ''"Don't call me 'Ma'am!' Do I look like a Ma'am?"''
--> Played by Frances [=McDormand=]

* IronLady
* {{Jerkass}}: It comes with [[ObstructiveBureaucrat the job]].
** JerkWithAHeartOfGold: She softens up a bit to the protagonists as time goes on. In fact, she even apologizes to Sam for not taking his warnings seriously.
** JerkassHasAPoint: [[spoiler: She has Sentinel Prime's pillars detained, and makes an argument that they could be used to bring through weapons or an invasion army. Which is ''exactly'' what Sentinel uses them for.]]
* NoodleIncident: Had a fling with [[spoiler: Simmons]] in the past.
* ObstructiveBureaucrat: But not as bad as Galloway. In fact, she's actually somewhat helpful to our heroes.
* UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom: Her hostility towards the Autobots and insistence on the Pillars getting detained [[spoiler: doesn't help Sentinel's already negative view of humanity, and forces him to attack the base to steal the pillars, which ends up getting Ironhide killed.]]

---> ''"That was the old me!"''
--> Played by Alan Tudyk

* BattleButler: For Simmons.
* BewareTheNiceOnes: He's a generally kind person, but tick him off and ''you.'' ''Will.'' ''Pay.''
* DarkAndTroubledPast: Implied.
* FunnyForeigner: ''At first''.
* HypercompetentSidekick
* KubrickStare
* ThatManIsDead: It's implied that he has a rather violent history, something he doesn't want to lapse back into. See the above quote.
* [[WouldHitAGirl Would Shoot A Woman Dead]]

[[folder:Jerry Wang]]
---> ''"I'm Wang. Deep Wang."''
--> Played by Ken Jeong

* AsianRudeness
* DefiantToTheEnd: [[spoiler:Though it didn't help him against Laserbeak, he goes out guns blazing.]]
* DestinationDefenestration: [[spoiler:How Laserbeak kills him.]]
* NotWhatItLooksLike: He lures Sam into the bathroom to [[spoiler: give him information about Megatron's plan]]. Sam's boss comes into the bathroom, and hears both of them arguing in the bathroom stall.
* ProperlyParanoid: [[spoiler: Due to his association with Laserbeak, he fears every machine near him to be the murderous Decepticon.]]

[[folder:Cade Yeager]]
--> Played by Creator/MarkWahlberg

The main human protagonist of the fourth film.

* ActionSurvivor: At first, but gets more {{badass}} once he gets his hands on some good weapons.
* {{Badass}}: Well, if you take on a Decepticon that's just kicked Optimus to the curb, and live, then you fit in this category, no questions asked.
* BunglingInventor[-/-]GadgeteerGenius: Is both but is mostly the former in the beginning.
* CelibateHero: In an effort to keep his daughter away from boys.
-->'''Cade:''' This is a No Dating household. You don't date, I don't date.
* EmpoweredBadassNormal [[spoiler: He gets an alien sword, but he use as a rifle.]]
* MixAndMatchWeapon: His weapon, the "alien gun", that he took from Lockdown's ship. It looks like a sword initially but is actually a gun.
* OverprotectiveDad: Didn't even want his daughter to get a date for prom. Justified, in that he doesn't want Tessa to go through the same toils he and her mother went through from having her as teenagers.
* PapaWolf

[[folder:Tessa Yeager]]
--> Played by Nicola Peltz

Cade's daughter.

* ActionSurvivor
* DistressedDamsel: Most of the time.
** DamselOutOfDistress: She manages to get herself out of a couple jams.
* HairOfGoldHeartOfGold
* MissingMom: Her mother is mentioned to have died at an early point in her life.
* ShesGotLegs: Emphasized for the first half of the movie due to some very short shorts.
* TeenPregnancy: The result of one.

[[folder:Shane Dyson]]
--> Played by Jack Reynor

Tessa's boyfriend. He's a rally car driver.

* BadassDriver: Well, as a rally car driver, yes, but [[spoiler:he outruns what is essentially a gigantic magnet while ships, cars, and various bits of debris crash to the ground around him. And he's doing it in ''reverse gear''.]]
* CarFu: Uses his rally car to nail two soldiers who are trying to kill his girlfriend, her dad, and his friend.
* DisappearedDad: His father ran out on him when he was five.
* {{Oireland}}

[[folder:Harold Attinger]]
-->''"You're trying to save your family. That's admirable. I'm trying to defend the nation from alien war."''
--> Played by Creator/KelseyGrammer
The main human antagonist of the fourth film. He carries a deep, seething grudge against the Transformers, and is out to wipe them all out, and doesn't care who gets in his way.

* AbsoluteXenophobe
* BigBadWannabe: He wants to engineer his own drone Transformers from the remains of dead Transformers. He would have succeeded if he had left [[spoiler:Megatron's]] remains alone.
* BlackAndWhiteInsanity: Sees the Transformers not in terms of Autobots vs Decepticons but as humans vs aliens. This attitude extends to any humans who aid the Transformers as well.
* FauxAffablyEvil: He seems somewhat polite, but it's clear there's a monster lurking just below the surface.
* {{Hypocrite}}: Sees all Transformers as enemies, yet is working with one. Also, he claims his actions will save innocent people yet has no qualms with letting innocent people, allied with the Autobots or otherwise, die in the way to get the job done.
* KickTheSonOfABitch: [[spoiler: Was anyone really crying when Optimus blasts him?]]
* KillEmAll: His policy towards Transformers, Autobot and Decepticon alike. And humans allying with them.
* KnightTemplar: Believes that killing the Transformers, even the ones who helped out the humans, is right.
* NotSoDifferent: From Megatron and the Decepticons of all people. Attinger claims that wiping out all the Transformers (Autobots and Decepticons) is for the good of humanity; however, just like the Decepticons he cares little for the loss of innocent life or the destruction he causes and also uses [[spoiler: melted down Autobots and Decepticons to make his own army of remote control attack drones to do his countries bidding.]]
* OrcusOnHisThrone: Cade calls him out on this, seeing as he sent his minions to do his dirty work for him.
* SillyRabbitIdealismIsForKids: How he feels about Cade's desire to protect his family.
* TheStoic: He's extraordinarily soft-spoken.
* TheUnfettered: He merely smiles when Cade points out he's willing to have his subordinates hold a family at gunpoint so that he can get what he wants.
* UnwittingPawn: Becomes one to [[spoiler: Megatron/Galvatron]], since he [[spoiler: unwittingly helps in reviving a vicious Decepticon leader who has no interest in serving humans. And that may have contribute to his VillainousBreakdown]].
* WellIntentionedExtremist: He's out to protect humanity from Transformers and preventing another massacre like Chicago, but he's willing to kill innocent people and their former Autobot allies without any qualms.
* WouldHurtAChild: When called out on his sending people to kill Tessa, Attinger smiles as if he was slightly amused.

[[folder:James Savoy]]
--> Played by Titus Welliver
* TheDragon / TheBrute: To Attinger.
* [[spoiler:DestinationDefenestration: How he's killed]].
* [[spoiler:DisneyVillainDeath: Courtesy of being thrown out a window by Cade]].
* TheHeavy: Of Cemetery Wind.
* RevengeMyopia: His sister was killed during the Chicago invasion, hence his intense pleasure in killing not only every Transformer he comes across, but any humans who help them as well.
* VillainousBreakdown: Gets more and more dependent on killing Cade to it being his only goal in the face of war.
* WouldHurtAChild: Puts a gun to Tessa's head to get Cade to cooperate. And was very willing to pull the trigger.

[[folder:Joshua Joyce]]
--> Played by Stanley Tucci

* AmazonChaser: Implied if his reaction and comments towards Su Yueming beating up the [=CIA=] agents is any indication. In any case he doesn't find an ActionGirl unattractive because of it.
* GenreSavvy: When Cade warns him that Galvatron is faking being under KSI's control, he tells his engineers to keep him offline. [[spoiler: It doesn't stick, but points for thinking ahead.]]
* [[spoiler: HeelFaceTurn: Once Cade talks to him and appeals to his inventor side, his conscience gets to him.]]
* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: His reaction after [[spoiler: Galvatron throws off the facade and seizes control of KSI's Transformer prototypes.]]
* NoCelebritiesWereHarmed: An obvious stand-in for Apple's late founder SteveJobs, from his physical appearance (bald head, intense stare and glasses) to his personality (a staunch perfectionist who emphasizes the visual aesthetics of his products, and is frequently harsh towards his employees).

[[folder:Su Yueming]]
--> Played by Li Bingbing
* HiddenBadass: Is able to drive a motorcycle at high speeds and fight off the goons sent to capture Joyce. It turns out she underwent police officer training before completing her MBA.
* ActionGirl
