[[folder: Michonne]]
!!Michonne
[[quoteright:300:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/michonne_1486.jpg]]
->'''Portrayed by''': Danai Gurira

->''"You can't stop me from helping you."''

Michonne is a mysterious hooded survivor who saves Andrea after the attack on the farm. The two of them traveled together for several months as of the beginning of the third season. She used two armless and jawless walkers to carry supplies and ward off other walkers, only telling Andrea that they were barely men before becoming walkers. After joining Rick's group, she starts becoming more open and friendly while serving as a main fighter.
----
* ActionGirl: By far the most adept female at fighting walkers on the show.
* AdaptationalHeroism: Her humanity is more evident here than the comics.
* [[AngryBlackMan Angry Black Woman]]: At Woodbury, especially towards [[BigBad The Governor]] and [[TheDragon Merle]]. She mellows towards the latter when she notices his guilt.
* ArchEnemy: For The Governor.
* {{Badass}}: The most competent physical ActionGirl in the series.
* BewareTheQuietOnes: As The Governor soon found out.
* BigDamnHeroes: Her debut, saving Andrea from a walker by cutting its head off.
** [[spoiler: Stabbing the Governor to save Rick.]]
* BlackCloak: Her hooded jacket.
* TheCassandra: She was immediately able to sense that the Governor (and by extension, his men) is someone who shouldn't be trusted and warned Andrea. [[HorribleJudgeOfCharacter Andrea being Andrea]]...
* TheCavalry: Served in this role to Andrea at the end of the second season.
* CryCute: When she saw Andrea dying. In Season 4, she does this after holding Judith.
* DarkAndTroubledPast:[[spoiler: She lost her son early in the apocalypse, and it is implied that her boyfriend killed him in what he thought was a MercyKill.]]
** CynicismCatalyst
* DeathGlare: Appears to be her permanent facial expression, but she gets better as she starts to open up to Rick's group.
* DeadPersonConversation: Sometimes talks with her dead boyfriend.
* DefrostingIceQueen:
** She seems to be mostly out for herself, but still tries to help the prison group in Season 3. And then there's her sad reaction to Penny... before learning she is a Walker.
** In "[[Recap/TheWalkingDeadS03E12Clear Clear]]", she opens up to both Carl and Rick, showing her soft side and helping them with both their problems. As a result, they accept her into the group.
** Season 4 delves into her past and, as a result, we learn her initial frostiness was because of grief due to a traumatic event prior to discovering Andrea in the forest at the end of season 2. Carl primarily learns this information and Michonne becomes more affectionate and protective of him, eventually crediting he, Rick and Andrea for helping her through her pain.
* DreadlockWarrior: Female example.
* TheDrifter: Prefers traveling then trying to find a place to settle down safely, until the joins the group at the prison, although it still takes her a few months to decide to stay permanently.
* FingerlessGloves: Her brown leatherette glovelettes.
* GoodIsNotSoft: She may be one of the noblest characters, but she doesn't hesitate to kill if necessary.
* GenreSavvy: Figures out something's off about Governor the moment she meets him[[note]]He refuses to give them their weapons or let them leave town.[[/note]]. Also the way she had her HumanPackMule.
* GlassCannon: She's good on the offensive. However, her opponents weren't usually able to hit her back, and when she's traveling alone she can't treat her own injuries.
* HeroicBSOD: In the fourth season, [[spoiler: after the fall of the prison, she lapses into her original behavior, captures and mains two zombies like her previous "companions", and joins a herd. Eventually snaps out of it, wipes out the herd, and rejoins Rick and Carl.]]
* HeterosexualLifePartners: With Andrea.
* HiddenDepths: In "[[Recap/TheWalkingDeadS03E12Clear Clear]]", she turns out to relate very well with Rick, having gone through the same mental trauma. She also displays a soft side with Carl, helping him get a photo of his mother, and generally acting in a weird, cool bodyguard/aunt combination.
** In fact, when she's around Carl, she tends to reveal she can be downright nerdy, as she apparently goes out scavenging for ''comic books'' that the two can share.
* HumanPackMule: She used two walkers to carry supplies around.
* IconicOutfit: The green jacket she was wearing in the last episodes of Season 3.
** Her headband and bright colored tank tops.
* IntergenerationalFriendship: With Carl.
* InTheHood: In the Season 2 finale.
* IWorkAlone: When she's leaving Woodbury and Andrea refuses to go with her, Michonne claims that she just slowed her down anyway. In Season 4, she goes out on scavenging runs by herself, as well as to look for the Governor. However, in "[[Recap/TheWalkingDeadS04E04Indifference Indifference]]", she decides to end her hunt for him and stay at the prison.
* KatanasAreJustBetter: As her WeaponOfChoice.
* LadyOfWar: Cool and collected, she's usually seen disposing of walkers with grace and quickness.
* LastEpisodeNewCharacter: In Season 2.
* MamaBear: Michonne's very quick to protect Carl and [[spoiler: spends days tracking him down in "After"]].
* [[MasterSwordsman Master Swordswoman]]: She's very skilled with that sword of hers, to say the least.
* OneOfUs: InUniverse. She's a comic book fan, pocketing them on her scavenges.
* [[OneManArmy One Woman Army]]: [[spoiler: In Season 4, she wipes out an entire herd of walkers solo with just her katana.]]
* OnlyOneName: She's never referred to as anything by "Michonne".
* PerpetualFrowner: During Season 3, she rarely has any expression on her face besides a distrusting or concerned frown. In Season 4, she is more open with her emotions and starts smiling a lot more.
* PluckyGirl: Not so obvious because of her TheQuietOne demeanor.
* PretendWereDead: Two variants:
** With her walker pack mules, their scent overcomes her own, which disguises herself partially to walkers.
** She also takes advantage of a time when she's CoveredInGunge to walk freely among the dead.
* PromotionToParent: She takes over as a surrogate mother for Carl and Judith after Lori's passing.
* ProperlyParanoid: She quickly picked up on the Governor's lies and all the subtle things wrong with Woodbury and decided to leave as quickly as possible.
* TheQuietOne: She never says any more than she has to, and often prefers to use a DeathGlare to communicate when people annoy her. Emphasize in "Hounded", where she has major role yet spends ''entire'' episode without any ''single'' word (not counting her grunts upon fighting walkers and Merle's group), at all. This changes in Season 4 as she becomes more acclimated to the group.
* ShootTheDog: Slicing the heads of her HumanPackMule so she and Andrea won't be caught by The Governor and his men. Merle still found them, however.
* SixthRanger: After first joining the group at the prison. After becoming integrated into the group she became TheBigGuy.
* SleevesAreForWimps: The only times we see her in one is when she's wearing her BlackCloak in the Season 2 finale and while wearing her green jacket from the comicbooks in the last two episodes of Season 3.
* TemptingFate: An episode after she declared that she'll stop the hunt for The Governor, ''he returns''.
* TranquilFury: In "Too Far Gone", when she and Hershel are taken hostage by The Governor.
* WhenSheSmiles: After recovering a rainbow-striped cat sculpture from the diner.
** Starting with Season 4, she smiles much more around Rick and especially Carl.

[[folder: Bob Stookey]]
!!Bob Stookey
[[quoteright:300:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/bob_stookely_twdtv_7673.jpg]]
->'''Portrayed by''': Lawrence Gilliard Jr.

-->''"Two times, two different groups. I was the last one standing. Like I was supposed to see it happen over and over, like it's some kind of curse."''

Bob Stookey is a former army medic who is recruited by Daryl and Glenn into the group during the TimeSkip between Seasons 3 and 4.
----
* AdaptationalAngstUpgrade: Aside from the alcoholism, he is also plagued by his SurvivorGuilt.
* AdaptationalAttractiveness: Besides the RaceLift, his age is reduced for the show.
* AdaptationExpansion[=/=]AscendedExtra: In the comics, Bob was a minor character in Woodbury who saved the Governor's life. In the show he has an altered backstory (Here, he has nothing to do with Woodbury) and is a main character.
* AdaptationDyeJob: Grey in the comics, black in the show.
* TheAlcoholic: He has a rather severe drinking problem. In "[[Recap/TheWalkingDeadS04E0130DaysWithoutAnAccident 30 Days Without An Accident]]", he struggles to walk past some alcohol during a supply run and nearly takes some with him. In [[Recap/TheWalkingDeadS04E04Indifference Indifference]], he tells Daryl that the alcohol helps him cope with being the SoleSurvivor of two other groups, particularly when the silence of being alone got to him.
** It's to the point he nearly dies for the sake of saving a bottle of hooch and almost draws his gun when Daryl prepares to throw the bottle away.
* {{Badass}}: Despite his issues, Bob is a trained soldier and acquits himself well against both walkers and hostile survivors.
%% ** BadassAngster
* CombatMedic: He served in the army as a medic.
* DissonantSerenity: After the [[spoiler:fall of the prison]], Bob is oddly cheerful and upbeat. Sasha tells him it's fine to be glad he is alive, but Bob tells her that isn't why he is smiling and doesn't elaborate. Later he reveals that he's smiling because he's broken his trend. Their group [[spoiler: may have fallen apart]], but he's not alone anymore.
* HatesBeingAlone: Bob's main motivation. He's spent more time than he counted alone after two groups fell apart, so he'll readily risk his life and overcome any obstacle to avoid being alone again.
* IgnoredEpiphany: He feels bad that his rampant alcoholism indirectly killed Zach, but [[spoiler:does not try very hard to stop himself]].
* TheLoad: Only when he encounters alcohol. On his first scavenging mission for the group he brings disaster onto them by bringing a shelf down onto himself, becoming trapped and forcing the others to try and free him while fighting off walkers attracted by the commotion.
** On his second, Bob, while on a mission to get medical supplies, fails to get any and instead takes a bottle of hooch.
* MercyKill: The only person he had killed prior to joining the Prison community was a woman who asked to be killed.
* NiceJobBreakingItHero: Him knocking over the alcohol shelf in "30 Days Without An Accident" while successfully resisting the urge to take some results in [[spoiler:dozens of walkers falling through the roof of the store, one of which ends up killing Zach]].
* OnlyAFleshWound: {{Averted}}: when the prison [[spoiler:is attacked by the Governor again]], Bob is shot through the right shoulder. He quickly has Maggie and Sasha check for an exit wound, and after they confirm there is one, he remarks that he can wait to treat it and resumes shooting. He treats it after the battle, but a few days later he is still bleeding from the wound and his right arm is noticeably weaker.
* RaceLift: Was white in the comics, and now black for the show.
* RememberTheNewGuy: Introduced in the Season 4 premiere. Justified due to numerous survivors joining during the TimeSkip.
* ShipTease: With Sasha.
* SkewedPriorities: Due to his work as a medic, he feels the need to check a bullet wound ''while'' still fighting.
* SurvivorGuilt: A big issue for him. Before joining the prison group, Bob was reportedly part of two other groups, both of which he was the [[SoleSurvivor only survivor]].
** He also expresses guilt over [[spoiler: Zach's death, which he indirectly caused]].
* YoungerAndHipper: His comic counterpart is much older.

!!Dr. Caleb Subramanian
[[quoteright:300:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/caleb_subramanian_twdtv_5589.png]]
->'''Portrayed by''': Sunkrish Bala

Dr. Caleb Subramanian is one of the new residents of the prison.
----
* CanonForeigner: He never appeared in the comics.
* ContaminationSituation: While treating the illness that infects the prison, Caleb is infected but still does his best to help Hershel care for the other patients. [[spoiler:He dies shortly before the group sent to get medicine to treat it returns]].
* FirstNameBasis: Hershel is the only one to call him Caleb, demonstrating their friendship.
* GenreSavvy: After the initial outbreak of a virus in the prison resulted in several walkers wrecking havoc, Caleb ensured that the cell block where the sick people were being kept was well stocked with weapons. [[spoiler:This foresight saved Hershel's life, since he was able to use the shotguns to kill several reanimated patients]].
* InSeriesNickname: Most of the characters call him Dr. S.
* TheMedic: He is the first actual doctor to join the group, and his medical knowledge comes in handy in figuring out that a disease killed Patrick and Charlie.
* MercyKill: He stabs a unnamed prison resident in the head after they die to prevent him from reanimating.
* NonActionGuy: Justified. He is TheMedic.
* RememberTheNewGuy: Introduced in the Season 4 premiere. Justified due to numerous survivors joining during the TimeSkip.

[[folder: Zach]]
!!Zach
[[quoteright:300:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/zach_twdtv_3892.png]]
->'''Portrayed by''': Kyle Gallner

Zach is a college student who joined the group during the time skip between Season 3 and 4. He is dating Beth Greene.
----
* {{Badass}}: He only appears in one fight, but he lasted nearly two years into the ZombieApocalypse and despite being the least well-armed member of the group at the Big Spot, he takes down several walkers with ease and even shoots one that Daryl almost didn't notice in time.
* CanonForeigner: He never appeared in the comics.
* HeroWorshipper: Towards Daryl. Part of this is trying to guess what Daryl did before the ZombieApocalypse.
* EatenAlive: The walker that gets him begins eating him before a fallen helicopter breaks through the ceiling and [[MercyKill drops onto them]].
* LoveInterest: For Beth.
* NiceGuy: What little we see of him makes him out as a nice, normal, down-to-earth guy.
* NoGoodDeedGoesUnpunished: Freeing Bob from being trapped under a fallen shelf results in him being bitten by a walker and crushed by a helicopter.
* RedShirt[=/=]WeHardlyKnewYe: Dies in his debut episode.
* RememberTheNewGuy: Introduced in the Season 4 premiere. Justified due to numerous survivors joining during the TimeSkip.
* SacrificialLion: The very first casualty of Season 4.

[[folder: Patrick]]
!!Patrick
[[quoteright:300:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/patrick_twdtv_5802.png]]
->'''Portrayed by''': Vincent Martella

Patrick is a new resident of the prison who becomes friends with Carl.
----
* [[AndThenJohnWasAZombie And Then Patrick Was A Walker]]: Quickly reanimates after dying from a strange illness that caused him to bleed from his eyes and nose. He is put down by Daryl in the next episode.
* BackForTheFinale: [[spoiler: Briefly appears in a flashback in the Season 4 finale.]]
* BloodFromEveryOrifice: When he dies, he is bleeding from at least his eyes and nose.
* CanonForeigner: He never appeared in the comics.
* HeroWorshipper: Like Zach, he is a big fan of Daryl and even asks for the honor of shaking his hand, which is extremely amusing to Daryl.
* NiceGuy: He's very soft-spoken and polite.
* NonActionGuy: He is not combat proficient.
* RedShirt[=/=]WeHardlyKnewYe: Dies in the very same episode he's introduced.
* RememberTheNewGuy: Introduced in the Season 4 premiere. Justified due to numerous survivors joining after the abandonment of Woodbury and the TimeSkip between seasons.
* SpockSpeak: He uses very precise and formal language.

[[folder: David]]
!!David
->'''Portrayed by''': Brandon Carroll

David is a new resident of the prison who takes place in "cleaning up" the Prison fence with Sasha and Karen.
----
* CanonForeigner: He never appeared in the comics.
* ContaminationSituation: David is isolated along with Karen in a cell after she mentions he too is showing symptoms of the sickness. [[spoiler:She and David are then murdered and burned by Carol to stop the disease from spreading further]].
* RememberTheNewGuy: Introduced in the Season 4 premiere. Justified due to numerous survivors joining after the abandonment of Woodbury and the TimeSkip between seasons.

[[folder: Lizzie Samuels]]
!!Lizzie Samuels
[[quoteright:300:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/samuels_lizzie_7278.jpg]]
[[caption-width-right:300:''"They're not dead, they're just...different."'']]
->'''Portrayed by''': Brighton Sharbino

Lizzie is the eldest daughter of Ryan. Her already disturbed mindset is being further twisted by the ZombieApocalypse.
----
* AgeLift: In the comic, Ben and Billy are twins. The show explicitly stated that she is Mika's older sister.
* {{Anti Hero}}ine: Even for a ZombieApocalypse, this girl has some twisted morals. But she is arguably trying to do what she thinks is best. [[spoiler:And then she ends up JumpingOffTheSlipperySlope.]]
* AxCrazy: [[spoiler:In "[[Recap/TheWalkingDeadS04E14TheGrove The Grove]]", she has degenerated to the point where she holds Carol and Tyreese at gunpoint to attempt to murder Judith unhindered.]]
* BerserkButton: [[spoiler: Killing her zombie playmates. She actually threatens to kill Carol.]]
* BigDamnHeroes: [[spoiler: She kills Alisha and another of the Governor's soldiers to save Tyreese.]]
* BlondesAreEvil: Is showing signs throughout Season 4 that she is not a decent person. [[spoiler: Confirmed in "The Grove"]].
* BlueAndOrangeMorality: Her morals are a bit off, even for the ZombieApocalypse. [[spoiler: Killing people is fine, as they just come back as walkers. Shooting people in the head and killing walkers is murder though, as they don't keep walking around then.]]
* BoomHeadshot: [[spoiler: She did this to Alisha during the third prison attack. Later, she's on the receiving end of this courtesy of Carol, after she and Tyreese agree that Lizzie is too unstable to be around people and a potential threat to Judith.]]
* CainAndAbel: [[spoiler: She murders Mika to bring her back as a walker, to prove to Carol and Tyreese that there's nothing wrong with walkers. Somewhat subverted that there are no animosities between them.]]
* ChildrenForcedToKill: [[spoiler: Leads the rest of the children in taking up arms during the prison battle in "Too Far Gone", and personally kills two of the Governor's soldiers.]]
* CreepyChild: She cares more about walkers than living people, and even her sister calls her "messed up". When Glenn coughs up a large amount of blood and mucus, Lizzie plays with the puddle with her toe. [[spoiler:And she was the one who was feeding rats to walkers.]]
** EnfantTerrible: Graduates to this in "Too Far Gone", when she [[spoiler:guns down two attacking survivors without hesitation or conflicted emotions]]. Later in "Inmates", she considers smothering [[spoiler: Judith when trying to keep her quiet. It blows up in "The Grove" in which she murders Mika and was about to murder Judith, too]].
* CuteAndPsycho: [[spoiler: Revealed to its full extent in "The Grove". Lizzie was the one who fed rats to the walkers, and believes walkers are just normal people and friendly. She ends up killing Mika so she will turn into a walker, and plans to kill everyone else in her group.]]
* DecompositeCharacter: While Ben already appeared in the show, she is the one receiving his CharacterDevelopment from the comics since he's an InNameOnly character who [[DeathByAdaptation bit it off way too soon]].
** GenderFlip: If the name's not obvious enough, Ben is male.
* DissonantSerenity: She acts far too calm around walkers, treating them like normal people.
* {{Foil}}: She's most closely compared to Mika and by extension Sophia, having lost her innocence despite her similar upbringing and status. Carol tried to teach Lizzie to fend for herself, correcting her mistakes with Sophia, yet [[spoiler: fails anyway as Lizzie is insane]].
** Lizzie also acts as a contrast to Carol in Season 4, as Carol acts strictly rational in comparison to Lizzie's irrationality. [[spoiler: Carol accepts killing as a necessity, but does so only after deliberation and she hates it anyway. Lizzie meanwhile embraces death in all its forms without thought or real understanding.]]
** She's also one to Hershel. Both at first believe Walkers are just normal people (Though Hershel thinks it's a disease) and lose loved ones to it. However Hershel wises up to his mistake and kills Walkers to protect his friends and family wheres Lizzie never does [[spoiler:and even kills her sister to prove her point.]]
* {{Kid Hero}}ine: And an {{Anti Hero}}ic one at that.
* LackOfEmpathy: For humans at least. See ZombieAdvocate below.
* LetThemDieHappy: [[spoiler:Subverted. Carol attempts this when she puts down Lizzie, but Lizzie dies distressed and crying, believing that Carol is angry at her.]]
* LittleMissBadass: She's not even a teenager, but she can pull off headshots from several yards away. [[spoiler: She later admits to Carol that this was an accident, since it prevented Alisha from coming back.]]
* ObliviouslyEvil: [[spoiler: Lizzie does terrible things, but believes that she's doing the right thing and everyone else is wrong. Her reaction to killing Mika, which is exactly the same as Ben's reaction to killing Billy in the comic, is especially notable.]]
-->'''Lizzie:''' [[spoiler:Don't worry, she'll come back! [[FateWorseThanDeath I didn't hurt her brain.]]]]
* RememberTheNewGuy: Introduced in the Season 4 premiere. Justified due to numerous survivors joining during the TimeSkip.
* ReplacementGoldfish: She and her sister appear to be becoming ones for Carol in place of Sophia.
* SiblingYinYang: In comparison to her sister, Lizzie is less emotionally strong and is creepily attached to walkers.
* TheSociopath: Her behavior in the later half of Season 4 develops into textbook symptoms of violent mental instability. She secretly kills rabbits at night (and not for food), and almost kills [[spoiler: Judith]] with a sense of fascination on her face. In "The Grove", she [[spoiler:kills Mika to turn her into a walker and would've done the same to Judith if Carol and Tyreese hadn't found her]].
** It is implied that she showed some signs of mental illness before the ZombieApocalypse, since Mika has a system of making her look at flowers when Lizzie starts becoming severely agitated or crazy.
* TagalongKid: Is obviously just a kid, and more often than not she's serving this role to Carol.
* TeamKiller: [[spoiler: Killed her sister. She would have killed Judith too if Carol and Tyreese didn't arrived.]]
* TokenEvilTeammate: Is showing signs of this throughout Season 4. [[spoiler: Confirmed in "The Grove"]].
* TookALevelInBadass: In "Too Far Gone", when she finally puts Carol's weapons training to good use.
* TroublingUnchildlikeBehavior: Names walkers and mourns their deaths more than humans, plays in gore with her boot, [[spoiler:and guns down people]].
** And to top it off, she [[spoiler:murdered her own sister]].
* {{Ubermensch}}: She often squabbles with other characters because of her own set of morality.
* TheUnfettered: If she wants to prove a point, she ''will'' prove it no matter what.
* WalkingSpoiler: Due to her actions in the latter half of Season 4.
* WouldHurtAChild: She nearly smothers [[spoiler: Judith]] in an attempt to keep her quiet, and looks extremely fascinated while doing so. She later [[spoiler: kills Mika, and was seconds away from killing Judith before Carol and Tyreese interrupted her]].
* ZombieAdvocate: She argues that walkers are not dead, just different. She also argues that humans [[HumansAreBastards kill]], too. In "[[Recap/TheWalkingDeadS04E02Infected Infected]]", she is more upset that her favorite walker on the fence was killed (calling him special) than about her dad dying. [[spoiler:When Carol kills a walker that Lizzie was "playing" with, she accuses her of murdering it. She even seems to prefer them to humans, as she kills her sister and almost kills Judith to make them into Walkers to play with.]]

[[folder: Mika Samuels]]
!!Mika Samuels
[[quoteright:300:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/samuels_mika_4206.jpg]]
->'''Portrayed by''': Kyla Kennedy

Mika is the youngest daughter of Ryan.
----
* CainAndAbel: [[spoiler: The Abel to Lizzie's Cain. Somewhat subverted that there are no animosities between them.]]
* TheCassandra: Comes right out and says that her sister is not weak but messed up in their second episode, but neither Carol nor anyone else really gets it until her last appearance.
* ChildrenAreInnocent: She won't even shoot a deer and sympathizes with hostile survivors, noting that they probably weren't like they are now before the ZombieApocalypse. She does shoot at walkers if she needs to, knowing (unlike her sister) that there is nothing human left in them.
* TheFettered: Despite Carol's attempts to harden her, she refuses to kill people, even to save herself.
* {{Foil}}: To her sister. Mika is younger, but more rational and knows that Walkers are dangerous but refuses to kill Humans because she thinks its murder, in contrast to Lizzie who thinks Walkers are just normal people and that killing Walkers is murder.[[spoiler: That and Mika didn't go insane while Lizzie did.]]
* GenderFlip: Her comic counterpart, Billy, is male. [[spoiler: She suffers the same fate, being gutted by her sibling so she can come back as a walker]].
* GenreSavvy: A mild case, as she absorbs Carol's lessons, and is one of the few readily aware just how messed up her sister is.
** WrongGenreSavvy: She refuses to kill humans, though, and believes people are still good. [[spoiler: Though we don't see it, this very well may have what allowed Lizzie to kill her.]]
* HairOfGoldHeartOfGold: In stark contrast to [[BlondesAreEvil her sister]].
* IncorruptiblePurePureness: She's one of the few characters in the show to actually be a totally good person and refuses to kill because of this.
* KillTheCutie:[[spoiler: Lizzie murders her to make a point to Carol. Carol makes sure to stab her head to prevent reanimation.]]
* NiceGirl: Very sweet and friendly to the group and gets along with Tyreese and Carol very well. She's probably one of the single nicest character put in the show.
* PrecociousCrush: Seemed to have developed one for Patrick, [[spoiler: until he became a walker.]]
* RememberTheNewGuy: Introduced in the Season 4 premiere. Justified due to numerous survivors joining during the TimeSkip.
* ReplacementGoldfish: She are her sister appear to be becoming ones for Carol in place of Sophia.
* SiblingYinYang: Despite being younger, Mika is much more rational and less creepy than her sister.
* TagalongKid: Tags along with Carol quite often, and is even younger than Carl. She gets better though, see TookALevelInBadass below.
* TechnicalPacifist: Against walkers. Against humans, she is more or less an ActualPacifist.
* ThouShallNotKill: A variation. She has no issues killing Walkers, but she believes killing Humans is murder. She refuses to hurt people as a result.
* TooGoodForThisSinfulEarth: Like Sophia. Summed up by Carol when she says Mika "doesn't have a mean bone in her body".
* TookALevelInBadass: In "The Grove", in which she finally musters up the courage to shoot walkers dead. Nevertheless, she refuses to shoot people and can't bring herself to shoot a deer.

[[folder: Ryan Samuels]]
!!Ryan Samuels
->'''Portrayed by''': Victor [=McCay=]

Ryan is a survivor who joined the prison community with his daughters Lizzie and Mika.
----
* DecompositeCharacter: While Allen is already in the show, Ryan had perhaps Allen's most pivotal scene from the comics: he gets bitten and asks another member of the group to look after his two children when he dies.
* LifeOrLimbDecision: {{Subverted}}: Carol prepares to amputate his left arm after he gets bitten, but then notices a bite on the back of his neck, which seals his fate.
* MercyKill: After he dies, Carol stabs him in the head to prevent reanimation.
* RedShirt: He doesn't get much characterization before being bit and dying in "[[Recap/TheWalkingDeadS04E02Infected Infected]]".
* RememberTheNewGuy: Introduced in the Season 4 premiere. Justified due to numerous survivors joining during the TimeSkip.
* ZombieInfectee: He is bitten on his left arm and the back of his neck when walkers attack D-Block, and suffers for a while before dying.
