Tenel Ka Djo was the daughter of the man who almost married Leia in ''Literature/TheCourtshipOfPrincessLeia''. A hot-headed princess, she was attending the Jedi Academy by the time of the ''Literature/YoungJediKnights'' series and was friends with the Solo children. An accident during a lightsaber training session against Jacen due to the botched construction of her first saber cost her an arm, that she adamantly refused to replace with a prosthetic. She eventually grew up to inherit the throne her mother and grandmother had held before her. She had a daughter with Jacen, but had to fake Allana's death to protect her from political opponents.
----
* ActionGirl: She once took down a Nightsister without any weapons.
* ActionMom: She remains plenty active after giving birth to Allana, sometimes leading her security forces into battle against intruders.
* TheBigGirl: Blunt as a brick and good in a scrap, even after losing an arm.
* CannotTellAJoke: It takes her a while. When she tries in "Star by Star", she defensively says she thought the one she'd told was pretty funny.
* CatchPhrase: "This is a fact." Sometimes "Fact" if she's being terse.
* TheChainsOfCommanding: She never wanted to be queen, preferring life as a Jedi. To be an effective one, she often had to make decisions which conflicted with her personal ideals.
* ColorCodedEyes: She has gray eyes, which is fitting, considering her stoic, analytical personality.
* CoolSword: Her lightsaber's hilt is a rancor tooth.
* DefrostingIceQueen: When she was younger, she was rather humorless. She became warmer around those close to her as she developed.
* EverythingsBetterWithRainbows: Her lightsaber crystals are rainbow gems from the Hapes' Royal Princess tiara, though rather than resulting in a rainbow-bladed lightsaber, the blade is turquoise.
* HandicappedBadass: Lost her left arm in a lightsaber accident. Still quite badass.
* KeepingTheHandicap: She loses a part of her arm due to rushing her lightsaber's construction and having it explode in her hand. She eventually refuses to get a replacement prosthetic like her teacher Luke Skywalker did as a reminder to not let her pride get the better of her, citing it was Luke's choice to do so as her grandmother is trying to force the artificial limb on her, until Tenel Ka [[{{Pun}} "forcefully"]] destroys the prosthetic to affirm her decision.
* LaserBlade: Her first lightsaber was made from a rancor's tooth and decorated with carved images, with a greyish-white blade from the volcano deposit crystal she used. Her second lightsaber is turquoise-bladed, also made from a rancor's fang but using a jewel from her Hapan princess tiara as the focus.
* LoveEpiphany: She finally realizes she loves Jacen after he's captured by the Vong in ''Star by Star'' and she mistakenly believes he's been killed. After he returns though, it takes seven more years for them to actually get together.
* NoSenseOfHumor: At first; she develops one later.
* {{Pride}}: A major flaw of hers in her younger apprentice days. Though a gifted Jedi apprentice, she had the view that her own physical abilities and training were more important and saw relying on the Force as a crutch. She almost completely ignores the Hapan side of her heritage, which she sees as decadent and dishonest. Likewise, she saw building her first lightsaber as a test of her physical prowess instead of her care and responsibility; she obtained the crystal from a deposit in a mostly dormant volcano, but ignored the crystal's flaws, thinking that she would just have to be more careful. It gave out during a practice duel with Jacen Solo, leading to him cutting her arm off; her saber then overloaded and exploded, destroying her hand and preventing any attempt at reattaching it.
* RebelliousPrincess: In the ''Literature/YoungJediKnights'' series.
* RoyalsWhoActuallyDoSomething: She's a Queen who can kick ass, even minus an arm.
* StarCrossedLovers: No matter how much she loves Jacen, she just can't stand aside and do nothing when he turns to the dark side.
* TomboyPrincess: When she was younger.

-->''"Jedi are supposed to be strong!"''

The young daughter of Jacen Solo and Tenel Ka Djo.
----
* BadassAdorable: She may be a little girl, but she's also an ActionSurvivor with serious Force potential and a lot of dirty tricks. Then again, when you're part of the Solo/Skywalker clan on your dad's side and descended from Dathomir witches on your mom's, that's not surprising.
* BadassAndChildDuo: Briefly with Bazel Warv, though sadly [[spoiler: he dies defending her]].
* BigGood: If the multitude of visions about her future are to be believed.
* CallARabbitASmeerp: The heir to the Hapes Consortium is referred to as the Chume'da.
* TheChosenOne: Allana seems to be headed this way with the frequency of people having visions of her sitting on the Throne of Balance (i.e. having some big part to play in leading the galaxy).
** In ''Vortex'', Taalon sees the vision of Allana and is scared out of his mind of the idea of the galaxy being ruled by a "Jedi Queen." Even Abeloth seems determined not to let this future come to pass. In ''Conviction'', [[spoiler: a Sith strike team attempts to assassinate Tenel Ka because they (correctly) fear that she is or will be the mother of the Jedi Queen]].
** In ''Apocalypse'' it's revealed that [[spoiler: The Throne of Balance is actually where the being in charge of the Force itself sits. It's not just stepping stone to get to godhood, it ''is'' godhood.]]
* DeadGuyJunior: Her name is a fusion of the founder of the Witches of Dathomir, Allya, and Jacen's late brother, Anakin.
* FakingTheDead: To hide her from the various groups trying to assassinate her, Tenel Ka pretended she perished in a nanovirus attack, then sent her to be adopted by her grandparents Han Solo and Leia Organa. Allana is now the war orphan Amelia Solo.
* HeroicBastard: Jacen and Tenel Ka weren't married.
* LittleMissBadass: Is pressed into combat at nine years old.
* MoralityPet: [[InvertedTrope Inverted.]] The need to protect her ended up pushing Caedus to further and further extremes. Played a bit more straight in the end when he chose to save her instead of protecting himself.
* SmallGirlBigGun: For her first combat experience, in [[Literature/FateOfTheJedi Apocalypse]]. She gets a smaller weapon later on.
* WhatCouldHaveBeen: An InvokedTrope by virtue of the ContinuityReboot. Presumably, her destiny would've been further addressed in the ''Sword of the Jedi'' trilogy, but it was cancelled with ''Crucible'' being the finale.

Wife to Boba Fett, Sintas experienced a break up with him, and was frozen in carbonite for 40 years.
----
* AscendedExtra: At the time she was shown in ''Tales'', her canon status was ambiguous, but it wasn't until AllThereInTheManual first identified her and confirmed her story as canon, followed up by ''Blood Ties''. She also gets further developed in ''Legacy of the Force''.
* EarnYourHappyEnding: Of sorts. Though by the time she is revived, Ailyn is gone and had lived an unhappy life angry at Boba, on the other hand, Sintas and Boba make peace with each other, Boba gives her his stuff so that she doesn't have to bounty-hunt for a living ever again, Sintas gets to meet her own granddaughter and explains to her that the tension with Boba wasn't everything Ailyn cracked it up to be, and Sintas attends Mirta & Ghes' wedding, with Boba offering for her to stay on Mandalore at any time.
* FishOutOfTemporalWater: Her arc is basically culminates in this, having come into the story frozen in carbonite, then getting thawed and having to live with her unfortunate repercussions.

->'''Appears in:''' ''[[ComicBook/StarWarsTales Tales]]'' | ''[[ComicBook/StarWarsBloodTies Blood Ties]]'' | ''Literature/YoungJediKnights'' ({{Retcon}}) | ''Literature/LegacyOfTheForce''

-->''"It's not illegal to be a bounty hunter."''

The daughter of Boba and Sintas, following their footsteps in becoming a bounty hunter. Being raised by Sintas without Boba's influence, she came to resent her absent father and sought revenge against him after her mother's presumed death. After seemingly killing him, she stole his identity.
----
* AllThereInTheManual: What happened to Ailyn between ''Blood Ties'' and ''Young Jedi Knights'' is told only in side material. The ''Insider'' article ''History of the Mandalorians'' explains that when Sintas mysteriously disappeared on a bounty hunting mission, she blamed this tragedy on Boba for abandoning them and became a bounty hunter to cast her revenge on him. Though she briefly stopped after learning he supposedly eaten by [[Film/ReturnOfTheJedi a sarlacc pit]], she continued her quest for vengeance when she heard otherwise and killed Spar because [[MistakenIdentity she thought he was Boba]]. She then stole his armor and pretended to be Boba to get higher bounty rates.
* AscendedExtra: She and Sintas originated from ''Star Wars Tales'' Issue #7, which was non-canon until they were brought into canon by AllThereInTheManual (Ailyn wasn't even named until then). Ailyn would be {{retcon}}ned as "Boba" in the ''Young Jedi Knights'' books, would be TheGhost for Boba and her own daughter Mirta in ''Legacy of the Force'', and appear in ''Blood Ties''.
* BackForTheDead: She has a brief appearance in ''Legacy of the Force'', only to be killed by Jacen.
* BecomingTheMask: When she met Makin, she only got close to the Mandalorians because she wanted to use that knowledge to help her in her quest to hunt down Boba. However, she fell in love with Makin and had a kid together, even if it ended in a divorce.
* ABirthdayNotABreak: Sintas went missing right before Ailyn's sixteenth birthday.
* ComicBookFantasyCasting: Apparently, according to Wookieepedia, Ailyn's appearance is based on model Anastasia Heonis.
* GenerationXerox: Like her mother, she fell in love with a Mandalorian warrior and had a daughter with him, then divorced him.
* EarlyInstallmentWeirdness: Ailyn was introduced a year before ''Film/AttackOfTheClones'' casted Maori actors for Jango and Boba, making her look rather Space-Caucasian for [[AmbiguouslyBrown someone]] who should look at least half-Caucasian and half-Maori. Unlike other characters without official live-action actors like Jaina whose [[DependingOnTheArtist depictions keep changing]], post-''Attack of the Clones'' content is consistent about keeping Ailyn's look.
* MissedHimByThatMuch: Played with. She dies in the second book of ''Legacy of the Force'', still trying to avenge her mother by killing Boba, only for Sintas to [[HumanPopsicle come back alive]] in the eighth book.
* MistakenIdentity: According to AllThereInTheManual, she murdered Spar, having mistaken him for Boba. The mix-up has her fooled for a while.
* PosthumousCharacter: Though she's dead by the time of ''Literature/LegacyOfTheForce'', she's mentioned repeatedly by Boba and Mirta.
* {{Retcon}}: Boba's appearance in the ''Literature/YoungJediKnights'' books was later retconned to have been Ailyn disguising herself as Boba to explain why he was acting OutOfCharacter in that series.
* {{Revenge}}: She wants revenge against her father for ditching her and her mother, especially after Sintas went MIA.
* ShaggyDogStory: Sintas was alive this whole time; she's been in imprisoned in carbonite for the last few decades.
* ShoutOut:
** It's been stated that she was inspired by "gorgeous butt-kickers" like UsefulNotes/JoanOfArc, [[Series/XenaWarriorPrincess Xena]], [[Film/KillBill the Bride]], and the hookers in ''ComicBook/SinCity''.
** Ailyn pretending to be Boba in ''Young Jedi Knights'' was based on Dread Pirate Roberts in ''Film/ThePrincessBride''.
* VengeanceFeelsEmpty: When Boba asks Mirta if she ever saw Ailyn happy, she answers no. Considering she dedicated a major part of her life to blaming Boba for Sintas' death and going after him for it...

-->''"I'm just trying to get by in a tough galaxy."''

The granddaughter of Boba Fett, Mirta was born to Fett's daughter Ailyn Vel and Mandalorian warrior Makin Marec, she became her mothers partner in bounty hunting, joining with her in their search to kill her grandfather. She eventually joins Fett after her mothers death and learning that he was nothing like she and her mother had thought.
----
* AntiHero: Type III most of the time, but can be a Type IV on a bad day, like when she kills three unarmed GAG soldiers after being tortured by Darth Caedus.
* BadassNormal: In ''Legacy of the Force,'' she is able to go up against a Sith Lord and live to tell about it without any powers of her own.
* BountyHunter: Becomes one, not unlike her grandfather and great-grandfather before her.
* {{Chickification}}: By ''Crucible,'' she's shown as being barely competent enough to be a chief of security for the Qrephs.
* DependingOnTheArtist: She's depicted as looking rather Caucasian despite having a Space-Maori grandfather (in fairness, she would only be 1/4 Space-Maori, depending on whatever her father's space-ethnicity was), though Tom Hodges depicts her in Karen Traviss's Mandalorian article as being AmbiguouslyBrown. This is most likely a result of her mother's physical appearance stemming from when it was assumed Boba was white before the release of ''Film/AttackOfTheClones''.
* DisappearedDad: Her father was killed when a starship he was on had a hull breach.
* GenerationXerox: She was raised Mandalorian by her father, and is a Mandalorian warrior like her father and grandfather.
* HappilyMarried: To Ghes.
* OddFriendship: With Jaina Solo, considering she's a Jedi and her brother Jacen killed Mirta's mother Ailyn.
* ParentalAbandonment: Both her parents end up dead: Marec dies in a hull breach accident and Ailyn is murdered by Jacen Solo.
* YouCantGoHomeAgain: Caedus had Mandalore seeded with a nanovirus that will kill any member of the Fett family who steps foot on the planet. Mirta has scientists work on a cure, but with the end of ''Legends'', we never see if it works.

----
* AntiHero: Type II: while he sometimes does political assassinations, he only accepts bounties on criminals and the corrupt.
* TheBerserker: He can clear his mind of anything else and have a singleminded focus on killing whatever is in front of him without mercy. The one time this is shown is when he is sparring with Jaina Solo, who gets freaked out by it since Goran is so nice and laid back the rest of the time.
* BountyHunter: In addition to his time as a soldier, he's also been a contract killer.
* TheCreon: He has had multiple opportunites to become Mandalore, something which Boba Fett would probably welcome, but Goran doesn't want the title anymore than Fett does.
* TheConsigliere / HonestAdvisor: For Fett: he never holds back on his opinion or criticism of how Fett is handling being Mandalore.
* DeadpanSnarker: Rarely loses an opportunity to sharpen his wit (as sharp as his sword) at Jaina's expense.
* HappilyMarried: He and his husband share a healthy relationship and have an adopted child.
* MasterSwordsman: He uses a ''beskad'' (a sword made out of Mandalorian iron) as his main weapon. He killed dozens of Yuuzhan Vong with it in hand-to-hand combat during the war.
* MeaningfulName: In Mando'a, "goran" means "smith" and "beviin" means "lance".
* NumberTwo: To Fett, often being placed in charge of any potential crises that might come up when Fett isn't on Mandalore, which is very often.
* StraightGay: He ha no real stereotypical traits and is a well-respected Mandalorian. Boba Fett treats them no different than he would a straight couple and if anything, seems to envy their familial stability compared to his own.

* YouAreBetterThanYouThinkYouAre: Gives Kaye a speech along these lines when it seems like she's doubting herself. It wasn't remotely necessary, but it was nice.

A human Mandalorian commando who commands a small army of Mandalorians, Rhal was hired by Chief of State Natasi Daala to lay siege to the Jedi Temple and eliminate anyone who stood in her way. He proved to be a complete psychopath when he murdered Jedi Apprentice Kani Asari when she came out to negotiate on behalf of the Jedi, When he began to put down a peaceful slave protest by massacring everyone involved, including a reporter filming the event, two Jedi Knights dispatched to negotiate a solution captured him and turned him over to the authorities to be prosecuted.

[[quoteright:210:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/abeloth_8816.jpg]]

->'''Appears in:''' ''Literature/FateOfTheJedi''

Abeloth is a Force entity that is discovered living in the Maw by Luke and Ben in 43 ABY. She causes a group of Jedi Knights who stayed in the Shelter space station located in the Maw during the [[Literature/NewJediOrder Yuuzhan Vong War]] to go crazy and try to seek her out, in an attempt to gather an army of Force users to take over the galaxy as the "Beloved Queen of the Stars", and to take their bodies as her own. When that fails, she co-opts portions of the Lost Tribe of Sith to serve her. [[spoiler:She is eventually revealed to be related to The Ones, a group of Force entities encountered during The Clone Wars.]] At the end of ''Literature/FateOfTheJedi'', [[spoiler:her bodies have been destroyed along with a manifestation of herself in Beyond Shadows, but she will eventually reform, causing the Jedi Order to take steps to stop her for good when she returns.]]
----
* AncientEvil: [[spoiler:Was once a mortal woman who served The Ones, before becoming an EldritchAbomination that The Ones had to seal away.]]
* AssimilationPlot: She takes bodies as her own and absorbs minds in order to make herself stronger.
* BigBad: Of ''Literature/FateOfTheJedi''.
* CombatTentacles: Her hands have long, writhing tentacles for fingers with suction cup tips, and she can use them to attack.
* CompleteImmortality: She cannot be killed by any ordinary means but can only be sealed away, the Dagger of Mortis is the only weapon that can truly kill her.
* DarkAndTroubledPast: [[spoiler:She used to be the Servant to the Ones, but eventually, they accepted her as one of their own, becoming the Mother. But as she was still mortal, she feared that she would lose her family one day, so she drank from [[ForbiddenFruit the Fountain of Power and bathed in the Pool of Knowledge]] to be like them, but [[FaceMonsterTurn the process instead turned her into the monster that she is now]], causing her family to have to seal her away every now and then.]]
* EldritchAbomination: She has become an unfathomable being that is extremely powerful in both sides of the Force, even if [[spoiler:she was once a mortal.]]
** HumanoidAbomination: When she's disguised as someone.
* EmotionEater: Abeloth gains her power by feeding off peoples' negative emotions.
* EnemyToAllLivingThings: Death follows her everywhere.
* FaceMonsterTurn: [[spoiler:Upon drinking from [[ForbiddenFruit the Font of Power and bathing in the Pool of Knowledge]].]]
* FaceStealer: She can look like anyone she absorbs.
* FightingAShadow: The reason she's so hard to kill. [[spoiler:The real Abeloth seems to exist almost totally within the Force and she can take over physical bodies- sometimes [[MesACrowd more than one at a time]] to interact with the physical universe. Killing them weakens her, but doesn't hurt her much in the long run.]]
* FinalBoss: She's the BigBad of the last major story arc in the ''Legends'' continuity, as well as likely the single most powerful malevolent being faced by Luke's generation of heroes. The Qreph brothers serve as a PostFinalBoss of sorts in ''Crucible'', and Darth Krayt will survive for a few more eras to serve as the BigBad to a much later generation of heroes.
* GalacticConqueror: Abeloth wants to take over the galaxy because she craves adoration.
* GlamorFailure: Both Luke and Vestara can see through her illusions.
* IJustWantToBeLoved: [[spoiler:Her real motivation stemming from her past as the Mother. In fact, love is the very reason why she turned into an abomination: she wanted to be inmortal in order to stay with the Ones forever.]]
* {{Irony}}: [[spoiler:She drank from [[ForbiddenFruit the Font of Power and bathed in the waters of the Pool of Knowledge]] in hopes that it would mean she would never lose her family. It ultimately results in her in not only losing her family, but they have to go through the process of confronting her and sealing her away on a timely basis until they're killed during the Clone Wars.]]
* MoreThanMindControl: This is how she ends up controlling every person in the Maw.
* OmnicidalManiac: Following the title of the last book in the series, not to mention the Thuruht queen's statement about the end times arriving as soon as she learns about Abeloth's unsealment, it's basically spelled out that her main goal is to spread as much death and destruction to the universe as possible.
* PhysicalGoddess: She has divine levels of power. Even Luke at the height of his power is barely able to hold out against her in the ethereal realm, and it takes an EnemyMine between him and Darth Krayt for her ethereal realm aspect to be defeated.
* ReplacementGoldfish: She tried to force Ben Skywalker and Vestara Khai to take the place of her children, though they instead fought back.
* ScaryTeeth: Her mouth is filled with sharp, needle-like fangs.
* SealedEvilInACan: She was sealed in the Maw, which was made to imprison her.
* [[WasOnceAMan Was Once A Woman]]: [[spoiler:She didn't become an EldritchAbomination until she tampered with the Fountain of Power and Pool of Knowledge.]]
* {{Yandere}}: She inherited her interest in Luke from assimilating Callista. Notably, after [[spoiler:Callista's spirit is expelled from her]], Abeloth never again shows much personal interest in Luke.
