* ActionGirl: Wasn't much of one in ''Mighty Morphin'', but she's definitely grown into one here.
%%* TheChick
%%* LuckilyMyShieldWillProtectMe
* TheSmartGirl: Sometimes.
%%* TeamMom
* TomboyAndGirlyGirl: Girly Girl to Tanya's Tomboy.

%%* TheChick
%%* DeadpanSnarker
* DualWield: She was Zeo Ranger 2, and had that going for her a bit.
%%* FightingWithChucks
* ImprobableWeaponUser: Her nunchucks.
* {{Tomboy}}: Well, definitely the most tomboyish female ranger up until that point.
* ShipTease: With Adam.
* TomboyAndGirlyGirl: Tomboy to Kat's Girly Girl.
* YoungerThanTheyLook: It's bad enough her actress wasn't really a teen, but Nakia looked even ''older'' than her real age.

!![[color:blue:Rocky [=DeSantos=] / Zeo Ranger III]] | [-(Actor: Steve Cardenas)-]

%%* BigEater
%%* BladeBelowTheShoulder
%%* TheEveryman
* HeroicBSOD: Went through one in "Mondo's Last Stand" when he was convinced that Jason was replacing him.
* HurricaneOfPuns: When he got turned into a plant in "A Few Bad Seeds". Which also involved some GettingCrapPastTheRadar. He made some fairly suggestive comments about Kat.
%%* TheLancer: Properly this time. It was in Zeo that he really grew into a supporting leader under Tommy.

%%* AnAxeToGrind
%%* TheBigGuy
* DeadpanSnarker: Johnny Yong Bosch claims that about halfway through this season (Power Rangers being his very first acting job) he figured out Adam could be funny.
%%* GeniusBruiser
* ShipTease: With Tanya.
* TheSmartGuy: Often filled this role.

* CriminalAmnesiac: Had his mind messed about by Prince Gasket in "King for a Day".
* EvilIsHammy: In "King for a Day", Prince Gasket brainwashed Tommy into thinking he was their king and that the other Power Rangers were his enemies. He then proceed to act just as hammy as he did when he was the evil Green Ranger.
* EvilLaugh: Got it back when he was brainwashed in "King for a Day".

'''Their Friends'''

!!Billy Cranston | [-(Actor: David Yost)-]
* DemotedToExtra: He's no longer a Ranger here, just MissionControl.
* PutOnABus: In "Rangers of Two Worlds".
** RealLifeWritesThePlot: David Yost reportedly didn't like the slurs against his homosexuality on the set and walked off before the writers could make up a story to write him out.
* RapidAging: Apparently the explosion messed with his molcule more then he thought as they aged him into an old man. Forcing him to have to go with the Aquaians homeworld to restore his youth. He winds up staying there when he falls in love with one of the female scientists and that is the last we see of him until ''Series/PowerRangersMegaforce''. [[spoiler:Albeit as a FakeShemp.]]
* RedHerring: Was suspected by Rocky and the fans to be the Gold Ranger. Tried to be said Ranger - but particles his body received from the Command Center's explosion rejected the power.
* TheSmartGuy: A rare example where there is a FiveManBand, but he's not in it.
* YouFailPhysicsForever: "Negatively charged proton molecules"?

!!Zordon | [-(Actor: Bob Manahan)-]
* BigGood: Just like previous seasons.
* DemotedToExtra: With Billy taking on the role of Mission Control, Zordon starts to feel redundant after a few episodes.
%%* EccentricMentor
%%* SealedGoodInACan

!!Alpha 5 | [-(Voice actor: Creator/RichardStevenHorvitz)-]
* RobotBuddy: Again, just like previous seasons.
* VerbalTic: "Ai yi yi yi yi!"

!!Auric the Conqueror | [-(Voice actor: Creator/DerekStephenPrince)-]
* ChuckCunninghamSyndrome: He was last seen in "Rangers of Two Worlds, Part 2" unsuccessfully facing the monsters controlling the Megazords. Unlike with Ninjor, the show didn't provide even the slimmest explanation of where he went afterwards.

!!Ernie | [-(Actor: Richard Genelle)-]
* AscendedExtra: After three years of being a recurring character, Ernie was promoted to main cast for ''Zeo''.

!!Bulk & Skull | [-(Actors: Paul Schrier and Jason Narvy)-]
* BadassNormal: In "King for a Day, Part 2," they fended off Cogs, the mooks that Rangers preferred to fight while morphed.
* HeterosexualLifePartners: With each other.
%%* PluckyComicRelief
* ThoseTwoGuys: As always, they are never seen without each other.

!!Lt./Det. Stone | [-(Actor: Gregg Bullock)-]
* AscendedExtra: As with Ernie, Stone was promoted to main cast after being a recurring character.
* BadBoss --> BenevolentBoss: Played both ways. He's prone to yelling and punishment, but of course, he's the boss of Bulk and Skull. Given their antics, anyone else would've fired them immediately, but Stone obviously has a soft spot for them.
* BadassNormal: In "Graduation Blues," he stumbled upon Goldar and Rito - thinking an invasion was a foot. He chased them all over the park to try to arrest them. Granted, the two were amnesic and not up to no good, but Stone didn't know that.
%%* ReasonableAuthorityFigure

'''Their Enemies'''

!!King Mondo | [-(Voice actor: David Stenstrom)-]
%%* AdiposeRex
* BigBad: For ''Zeo''.
* GracefulLoser: At least most of the time, and especially compared to most other 'Zordon Era' Power Ranger villains where whenever the Rangers foil his plans, he usually just calmly declares that he'll defeat them next time. [[NotSoAboveItAll though even that]] [[VillainousBreakdown starts to crumble at times]].
* MotiveDecay: When the Machine Empire first attacked Earth, it's because "our solar system is the final link in a chain of galaxies already conquered" by them. Conquering Earth would effectively give them control of the universe (or at least enough of it to prevent any opposition). The Zeo Rangers were initially viewed as an "interesting diversion" to make the conquest more entertaining. By the end of the season, though, Mondo is more interested in defeating the Rangers. Possibly justified in that the Rangers repeatedly defeated him (including briefly destroying him), [[ItsPersonal making it personal]].
* OrcusOnHisThrone: Like any other Ranger BigBad, he directs monsters against the Rangers. The trope is subverted, though, when he does fight the Rangers in "Mondo's Last Stand" and "Good as Gold." They wind up having no more trouble beating him than the average monster.
* SparedByTheAdaptation: His Ohranger counterpart didn't get rebuilt. Although his fate does catch up with him in In Space.
* RoyalsWhoActuallyDoSomething: A villainous example, having fought the Rangers personally on more than one occasion. Although he's not much tougher than your average MonsterOfTheWeek.

!!Queen Machina | [-(Voice actress: Alex Borstein)-]
* HighClassGlass: Wears a monocle on her left eye.
* NonMammalMammaries: But not quite so much as Archerina
* OhNoNotAgain: Her reaction to Mondo ''being blown up''. Sprocket understandably questions this, causing her to reveal Mondo was just rebuilt.

!!Prince Sprocket | [-(Voice actress: Creator/BarbaraGoodson)-]
* BrattyHalfPint: He's a litte kid, after all.
* The two bodies of Prince Buldont from Ohranger become two separate characters with Buldont's Prince for going to Prince Sprocket.

!!Klank & Orbus | [-(Voice actors: Oliver Page and Barbara Goodson)-]
* DeadpanSnarker: Orbus gets a number of digs in, usually at Klank's expense. Also when making a monster grow, Orbus usually makes a quip somehow related to their powers.
* MakeMyMonsterGrow: Klank throws Orbus at the fallen body of the monster of the day, making it grow.
-->'''Klank:''' This is my favorite part of our battles, Orbus.
-->'''Orbus:''' Sure, I do all the work.
* UsefulNotes/{{Scotland}}: Klank is Scottish. There's no specific reason for this, but it does make him a fairly memorable minion.
%%* ThoseTwoBadGuys

!!Louie Kaboom | [-(Voice actor: Creator/LexLang)-]
* BigBadWannabe: Sought to takeover the Machine Empire (and win over Machina). He does succeed with the former, but his run only lasts an episode before Gasket and Archerina show up.
* NiceJobFixingItVillain: Created by Lord Zedd and Rita to takeover the Machine Empire in Mondo's absence. Of course, they almost immediately lost control of him.
* UnwittingPawn: Archerina turns him into this and sets him loose against the Rangers.

!!Prince Gasket | [-(Voice actor: Doug Sloan)-]
* AlwaysSomeoneBetter
* BigBadWannabe: He sought to become leader of the Machine Empire in King Mondo's absence, but failed to achieve any serious victories that would allow that ascension. Plus, he beat a hasty retreat after Mondo came back.
* DecompositeCharacter: The two bodies of Prince Buldont from Ohranger become two separate characters with Buldont's Kasier form going to Prince Gasket.
%%* DirtyCoward
* FirstNameBasis: Every major villain will usually know the Rangers' names and tend to address them as such, but Gasket took it a bit farther. He refers to the Red Zeo Ranger not as "Tommy," but his actual first name ("Thomas").
* LongBusTrip: When Mondo finally cornered him, Gasket fled with Archerina and never returned.
** RealLifeWritesThePlot: The costumes for both him and Archerina practically disintegrated. Some parts were salvaged for later use, but the complete suits were irreparable.
%%* RoyalsWhoActuallyDoSomething
* SparedByTheAdaptation: His Ohranger counterpart just exploded instead of shrinking back down to normal size.
* TheUnfavorite: Became this to King Mondo after he married Archerina, daughter of a sworn enemy of Mondo.
%%* WarriorPrince
* WellDoneSonGuy: Part of the reason he sought to become leader of the Machine Empire was to prove that he was a worthy heir.

!!Princess Archerina | [-(Voice actress: Melora Harte)-]
%%* DarkActionGirl
* DisproportionateRetribution: She developed a grudge against Kat (the Pink Ranger) very quickly (even though the two had never previously met), simply because she detested the fact that there was another female warrior around who liked bows ''and'' the color pink. (That's right. This was a rare case where the ''villain'' was actually upset with the realization that she and the heroine might be NotSoDifferent.)
%%* LadyOfWar
%%* LongBusTrip
* NonMammalMammaries: Just about every Power Rangers villain has these, but Archerina goes above and beyond. It's easy to understand why Prince Gasket pulled a Romeo and Juliet to get with her.
* TheRival: Views Katherine as such.
* SparedByTheAdaptation: Same as Gasket.
* {{Stripperific}}: For all intents and purposes, she was a robot wearing metal lingerie. There was even lace trim around it.
