[[caption-width-right:350:The SPD Rangers]]
* ContrastingSequelMainCharacter: [[Series/PowerRangersDinoThunder The Dino Thunder Rangers]] consisted of four were high school students and their teacher in the present day of 2004. The [=SPD=] Rangers are young adults, their older alien commander and a seventh Ranger from further in the future working as police officers in 2025. While the Dino Thunder Rangers were a dinosaur-themed team whose powers came from a magical element, the [=SPD=] Rangers are a police team with powers derived from technology.
* SpacePolice: They are not called ''Space Patrol Delta'' for no reason.
* TransformationTrinket:
** The B-Squad Rangers use the Delta Morphers to morph. These badge like Morphers can also be used to scan Alien Criminals to see if they are guilty or innocent.
** The Shadow Ranger uses the Patrol Morpher to morph, which is a black recolor of the Delta Morphers.
** The Kat Ranger uses the Kat Morpher to morph, which is a white and orange recolor of the Delta Morphers.
** Subverted for the Omega Morpher and the Nova Morpher. While they are technically Morphers, the Rangers that wield them cannot use them properly due to certain circumstances.
* VagueAge: As is usual, the ages of the Rangers themselves aren't directly revealed for the most part. The closest we get for one is Syd, who mentions offhand that she's had her stuffed elephant Peanuts since she was five. Placing her, and presumably the rest of the team, in their early to mid-20s.

!!B-Squad Rangers
[[folder:In General]]
* RagtagBunchOfMisfits: The team starts out with a ditzy, rich young woman, a quirky genius who likes buttery toast and a ByTheBookCop who wants to live up to his dead father's legacy. [[ThreePlusTwo They are joined by two former thieves]]. The differing view points among the team are a source of conflict throughout the show.
* SuperMode: The B-Squad Rangers gain access to S.W.A.T. Mode in the second half of the season. It gives them enhanced armor, tactical headsets, and the Delta Enforcers. It is also used to pilot the S.W.A.T. Megazord.
* TookALevelInBadass: The B-Squad Rangers started the series as the back up team, and had internal struggles that led to them struggling against the Troobian Army. But as the season went on, the team became more united and gained new upgrades and skills to best any alien criminal that fought them. Cruger even went as far as to call them the best team of Rangers he mentored. [[spoiler:This came to a head in the finale when the B-Squad fought against the turncoat A-Squad Rangers, proving that not only could they match their skills, but one up them at the same time.]]

[[folder:Jack Landors / B-Squad SPD Red Ranger]]
!!Jack Landors / [[red:B-Squad SPD Red Ranger]] [-(Actor: Creator/BrandonJayMcLaren)-]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/2767970.jpg]]
->'''Voiced by:''' Ryuji Sainei (Japanese dub), Scott [=McShane=] (''VideoGame/PowerRangersSuperLegends'')

--> ''Sky. Heroes come in all colors.''

Jack, along with his friend Z, was a thief that stole clothes for the homeless, but when Emperor Gruumm appeared to attack Earth, Commander Cruger approached the two to join SPD. While initially reluctant at first, he eventually joined B-Squad as the Red Ranger and leader. He also has the ability to travel through solid objects.
----
* AntiVillain: At first. He steals to give to the less fortunate.
* AdaptationalJobChange: The series begins with Jack (and Z) being recruited and ends with him resigning. Ban has always been in the force (he starts the series being transferred to the Dekarangers, and ends it again being transferred, this time to their Fire Squad).
* AdaptationalJerkass: Very, very downplayed. His Sentai counterpart was never a Robin Hood type character (in fact, Ban was in SPD because he'd JumpedAtTheCall).
* ConscienceMakesYouGoBack: When their second fight with Sky, Bridge and Syd goes south, he and Z don't hesitate to run when the Troobian robots attack, but as they're fleeing he has a bout of conscience and goes back to help them. Keep in mind, he was still wholly against joining Cruger while Z (who would jump at the chance to join when offered) tried to remind him they were trying to arrest them and that it wasn't their fight.
* CostumesChangeYourSize: Because Brandon Jay [=McLaren=] [[https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https%3A%2F%2Fi.redd.it%2Flzgkr5ihs3i31.png is about half a foot shorter]] than Ryuji Sainei (the actor of his counterpart Ban), Jack grows about half a foot when morphing to better accommodate the ''Dekaranger'' stock footage.
* {{Delinquent}}: At first.
* DreadlockWarrior: Sports dreadlocks while unmorphed and is overall badass.
* DrunkWithPower: Briefly when he learns Red Ranger equals team leader. Cruger quickly puts him in his place once the rest of the team point out their grievances.
-->'''Cruger:''' A true leader leads by example. [[ArmorPiercingQuestion Did you set that example?]]\\
'''Jack:''' ...No. No, I was too busy taking advantage of my position.
* GunsAkimbo: His Delta Blasters, which can combine into a bigger gun.
* IconicSequelCharacter: Jack is one of the most beloved and respected Red Rangers in the franchise's history despite being introduced in the thirteenth season.
* IntangibleMan: His genetic ability.
* IJustWantToBeNormal: [[spoiler:Which is why he's retired once the BigBad is defeated]].
* JustLikeRobinHood: He steals things to give it to poor people.
* LawOfChromaticSuperiority: As usual, he gets the Battlizer.
* TheLeader: Leader of the B-Squad Rangers.
* LeapAndFire: Jack loves firing his two guns while performing acrobatic flips and dropping down from rooftops.
* PlatonicLifePartners: With Z.
* PreAssKickingOneLiner: "You're going down!", when he's about to finish the MonsterOfTheWeek in a Megazord fight.
* RedOniBlueOni: The red to Sky's blue, literally.
* RefusalOfTheCall: He was a much harder sell than Z, and indeed he only originally joined because he saw Z was in trouble on a mission.
* RedIsHeroic: To Sky's frustration. Justified, as Sky, who was first in line to be leader, failed a SecretTestOfCharacter, and Doggy quickly realized that had he been made leader, he would've gone on an ego trip. He's such a rookie, in fact, that he didn't even know being the Red Ranger made ''him'' the leader, and Doggy ends up temporarily relieving him of command when he goes on an ego trip himself and only giving it back when he learns his lesson.
* StarterVillain: It's a stretch to call him a villain, but him and Z were the fledgeling B-squad's first antagonists.
* SuperMode: The S.P.D. Battlizer, which features both a Cyber Mode and a more armored Sonic Mode.
* TradingBarsForStripes: He was a criminal captured by Sky, Bridge, and Syd before being recruited. It should be noted that he initially turned down the chance to join, only changing his mind when Z was in trouble.

[[folder:Schuyler "Sky" Tate / B-Squad SPD Blue Ranger]]
!!Schuyler "Sky" Tate / [[blue:B-Squad SPD Blue Ranger]] [-(Actor: Creator/ChrisViolette)-]
!!!Promoted to [[red:Red Ranger]] [[WhereAreTheyNowEpilogue in the season finale]], then to Commander of the Earth forces, as revealed in ''Series/PowerRangersOperationOverdrive''
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/prspd_rg_sky.jpg]]
->'''Voiced by:''' Tsuyoshi Hayashi (Japanese dub)

-->''You think being a Power Ranger is all about roundhouse kicks and being a hero? It's also about hard work and doing what you're told.''

Sky trained with Bridge and Syd as part of B-Squad, and always wanted to become the Red Ranger like his late father. However, his rising arrogance caused Cruger to grant him the Blue Ranger powers instead, making him frustrated along with the fact that Jack, a former thief, was named the Red Ranger instead. He also has the ability to create forcefields.
\\\
To see the tropes during his appearance in ''ComicBook/PowerRangersSoulOfTheDragon'' as the [[spoiler:Commander of S.P.D.]], go [[Characters/PowerRangersSoulOfTheDragon here]].
----
* AdaptationalAngstUpgrade: Hoji didn't have the "father who was K.I.A" storyline in ''Dekaranger''; ([[CompositeCharacter this backstory actually belonged to Tetsu/DekaBreak]]) .
* AdaptationalJerkass: Hoji was a ConsummateProfessional who held everyone up to high standards and (initially) disliked Ban for running afoul of them, but he also held himself up to equally as high standards and had genuine respect for his teammates and superiors (in fact, he was upset with Ban mainly because he was a reckless CowboyCop who'd [[InadequateInheritor replaced an officer Hoji had respected]]). At worst, he was a little prickly and unapproachable, but not a {{Jerkass}} by any means. Meanwhile, Sky starts out as entitled and arrogant, looking down on others until CharacterDevelopment knocks him down a few pegs.
** Even Sky's other counterpart, Tetsu, was only a jerk for about one episode due to his upbringing before he realized he was barking up the wrong tree and decided to make himself into Ban's junior. At most, Sky traces a bit of Tetsu's backstory and his attitude during his debut episode, but that's about where the similarities stop.
* BlueIsHeroic: He becomes a cadet and eventually reaches B-Squad Ranger status after years of training and becomes the Blue SPD Ranger.
* BashBrothers: With Bridge. When the two bicker it's not for long, and when Sky shows compassion for him, it's generally straight to the point.
* BarrierWarrior: His genetic ability.
* ByTheBookCop: Very much.
* CharacterDevelopment: Perhaps the best developed of the rangers this series, as he goes from something of a JerkJock to a more pure hero. This is best exemplified by his response to Kruger suggesting Syd be the Red Ranger in the first and last episodes, he dismisses her for being a girl the first time but by the end, he's gained a greater respect for his teammates and Kruger's judgment.
* CommandingCoolness: [[spoiler:Is named the Commander of Earth S.P.D. after Cruger was promoted to Supreme Commander]].
* CompositeCharacter: Sky's backstory and some of his personality are taken from Tetsu/[=DekaBreak=] in addition to his own ''Dekaranger'' counterpart Hoji/[=DekaBlue=].
* DeadpanSnarker: Has his moments towards the end of the series.
* DefrostingIceKing: Somewhat. It takes a ''lot'' of work.
* DislikesTheNewGuy: More than anyone else, Sky is dissatisfied with Jack joining his team at the start of the series. Mainly because Cruger has chosen Jack over him to be the B-Squad's Red Ranger.
* HardWorkHardlyWorks: Justified, because despite all of his hard work his arrogance made unsuitable to be the Red Ranger. A chunk of Sky's character development is losing that arrogance.
* JerkassHasAPoint: He may not have been nice about it but Sky wasn't wrong in "Confronted" that Jack was abusing his position as a Red Ranger a sentiment that everyone else on the team shared including Z who was Jack's oldest friend.
* TheLancer: And he didn't like it to be his role at first.
* LeaderWannabe: He achieves his goal in the finale.
* MeaningfulName: He's the Blue Ranger. Ironically, ''all he ever wanted'' was to be Red. It goes into FridgeBrilliance territory when we realize that the Sky is Blue during the day, then becomes Red by the end of the day (The end of the series). Then, by night (some point post-series), it becomes black, matching the Commander's longcoats.
* MilitaryBrat: His dad was a fallen SPD Red Ranger whose battle suit resembles [[Series/PowerRangersTimeForce Wes's]].
* PoliticallyIncorrectHero: Heavily implied in the beginning, specifically his qualms about female leaders. He gets better at the end.
* QuicklyDemotedLeader: Thanks to failing a test of character Cruger gave him. He redeems himself at the end of the series when Cruger subjects him to the same test and he passes it after having learned his lesson.
* RedOniBlueOni: The blue to Jack's red, literally.
* TallDarkAndSnarky: Often has a quip at the ready, particularly when Bridge or Jack get up to things.
%%* TheStoic
* SupportingProtagonist: Officially, Jack is the Protagonist, but Sky shares the same status as the former.
* WellDoneSonGuy: He wants to live up to his father's legacy.
%%zce* WhenHeSmiles: Invoked by Syd in "Walls."
* YouKilledMyFather: His father is killed in the line of duty by an alien criminal.

[[folder:Bridge Carson / B-Squad SPD Green Ranger]]
!!Bridge Carson / [[green:B-Squad SPD Green Ranger]] [-(Actor: Matt Austin)-]
!!!Promoted to [[blue:Blue Ranger]] [[WhereAreTheyNowEpilogue in the season finale]], then to [[red:Red]], as shown in ''Series/PowerRangersOperationOverdrive''.
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/prspd_rg_bridge.jpg]]
->'''Voiced by:''' Yousuke Ito (Japanese dub)

--> ''Wait. I ask long, drawn-out questions?''

Bridge trained with Sky and Syd as part of B-Squad, and was the analytical of the group, despite his oddness. When Emperor Gruumm attacked Earth, he was given the Green Ranger powers. He also has the ability to read people's energy signatures.
----
* AdaptationalNiceGuy: Sen was certainly still one of the nicest members of the ''[[Series/TokusouSentaiDekaranger Dekaranger]]'' team, but he was also known for being [[BewareTheNiceOnes the most terrifying when angered]]. Perhaps to balance out most of the other team members being various degrees of [[AdaptationalJerkass less friendly and approachable]] than their ''Dekaranger'' counterparts due to being a RagtagBunchOfMisfits, Bridge is genuinely just nice all the way down.
* BatDeduction: As highlighted in "A-Bridged," he was right all along. It was just the way he went about investigating the suspect and gathering clues was... unique. Of course, what the other Rangers consider "unique", others would call [[ShownTheirWork actual investigative and detective techniques]].
* BunnyEarsLawyer: Despite his eccentric and wacky demeanor, Bridge is able to get the job done in no time as a competent SPD cadet.
* CharacterTics: He is physically compelled to wiggle his fingers when saying "Buttery." He can't stop himself, even when he tries.
--> '''Sky:''' He can't help himself. It's ingrained in his cellular makeup.
--> '''Bridge:''' That's ridiculous. I can say "buttery" without - ''[[[IResembleThatRemark wiggles fingers]]]''
* CloudCuckooLander: His crime-solving methods are certainly... unorthodox.
* CompositeCharacter: Keeping the comparison to the [[Series/TokusouSentaiDekaranger source material,]] Bridge has Umeko's quirkiness, Jasmine's psychic abilities and Sen-chan's odd investigation methods and Thinking Pose [[VerbalTic de aru]].
* EmeraldPower: He is an SPD Cadet that was promoted to B-Squad Ranger status after years of training and becomes the Green SPD Ranger.
* MotorMouth: When he really gets into his rambling.
* NiceGuy: The only one who never had any issues with any of his teammates and was kind to all of them throughout the series.
* PluckyComicRelief: A tradition held by most green rangers.
* PsychicPowers: His genetic power is AuraVision.
* PuttingOnMyThinkingCap: Like his ''Super Sentai'' counterpart Sen-chan, Bridge uses headstands in order to concetrate better.
* RealLifeWritesThePlot: Kinda. Bridge's gloves cover up the actor's tattoos, but they serve as his PowerLimiter in-show.
* RuleOfThree: 3 was his original number designation before he was promoted to the Blue and Red S.P.D rangers.
* TheSmartGuy: Although Kat is SPD's head scientist, Bridge tends to do some science on his own when the situation depends on it.
* StoryBreakerPower: Generally averted, but his AuraVision would've easily resolved "Recognition" fairly quickly - especially during the SpotTheImposter confrontation. Unsurprisingly, neither he nor anyone else thought to make use of it... at all.
* ThinkingTic: When he wants to do some serious thinking, Bridge does a full handstand. He claims the blood rushing to his head makes him think better.
* TookALevelInBadass: In ''[[Series/PowerRangersOperationOverdrive Overdrive]]'', Sentinel Knight summons him from an unspecified point post-series where he's the new Red Ranger (with Sky the Earth Commander, Doggy ''Supreme'' Commander, and Fowler retired).
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: Buttery toast. *wiggle fingers*

[[folder:Elizabeth "Z" Delgado / B-Squad SPD Yellow Ranger]]
!!Elizabeth "Z" Delgado / [[gold:B-Squad SPD Yellow Ranger]] [-(Actress: Monica May)-]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/prspd_rg_z.jpg]]
->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/AyumiKinoshita (Japanese dub), Creator/KimMaiGuest (''VideoGame/PowerRangersSuperLegends'')

--> ''It kind of gave me that warm and fuzzy feeling inside... that I hate so much.''

Z, along with her friend Jack, was a thief that stole clothes for the homeless, but when Emperor Gruumm appeared to attack Earth, Commander Cruger approached the two to join SPD. She immediately took the offer, and joined B-Squad as the Yellow Ranger. She also has the ability to create holograms of herself.
----
* ActionGirl: Not afraid to get physical.
* AdaptationalJobChange: The series begins with Z's (and Jack's) recruitment. Her Sentai counterpart has always been in the force.
* AdaptationalSuperpowerChange: Z has [[MesACrowd self-multiplication powers]] instead of psychometry (the closest equivalent of which is given to Bridge) like her Sentai counterpart; in addition, Jasmine was the only member of the ''Dekaranger'' team to have psychic abilities, whereas here it applies to the entire team.
* AdaptationalJerkass: Very, very downplayed. Her Sentai counterpart was never a Robin Hood type criminal.
* AntiVillain: At first when she steals to give to the less fortunate.
%%* TheBigGirl
* DarkAndTroubledPast: In "Sam", Z reveals she was bullied and alineated by other kids because of her powers, so one day, she used them to escape the classroom and bumped into an agreessive alien who was shot down by a hooded figure (later revealed to be Cruger), and in the situation, she lost her Z necklace.
* {{Delinquent}}: At first.
* JumpedAtTheCall: Unlike Jack, she wanted to join SPD the moment the offer was made. It helps she repeatedly stated she wanted to do more to make a difference than just be Robin Hood.
* JustLikeRobinHood: Along with Jack, they stole to give to the poor.
* MesACrowd: Her genetic power.
* OnlyKnownByTheirNickname: "Z" is mostly addressed as such despite her full name being Elizabeth.
* OneSteveLimit: It's not the first time there's been a [[Characters/PowerRangersWildForce Delgado]] on the team. This led to a fun little bit of Fanon. When you factor in the show's timeline, Z's age, her eagerness to join the team and her similarities to the actors who played [[http://ablastfromthepast.usagi-carter.org/images/Cast_List/WF/jackguzman.jpg Danny]] and [[http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a257/DCform2/After%20the%20Power/SandraMcCoy.jpg Kendall]] on ''Wild Force'', you end up with a lot of fans who like to assume that Z is their daughter (which leaves the unfortunate question of how she ended up an orphan.)
* PrimaryColorChampion: Z is eventually arrested by SPD and is offered a role on B-Squad as the Yellow SPD Ranger.
* PlatonicLifePartners: With Jack. They grew up on the streets together and she considers him like a brother to her.
* SelfDuplication: She has the power to do it.
* SpicyLatina: A very mild example but she is a little sassy.
* StarterVillain: It's a stretch to call her a villain, but her and Jack were the fledgling B-Squad's first antagonists.
* TomboyAndGirlyGirl: Tomboy to Syd's Girly Girl.
%%* TomboyishName
* TradingBarsForStripes: Like Jack, and [[JumpedAtTheCall quicker to join]] when asked.
* UnknownRival: To Morgana after shooting down her doll Cindy Sunshine.[[spoiler: That's until Morgana confronts her in "Messenger".]]
%%* WhenSheSmiles
* WideEyedIdealist: Z can be a little too trusting at times, particularly when it comes to recognizing the untrustworthiness of her old friend Piggy.

[[folder:Sydney "Syd" Drew / B-Squad SPD Pink Ranger]]
!!Sydney "Syd" Drew / [[pink:B-Squad SPD Pink Ranger]] [-(Actress: Alycia Purrott)-]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/prspd_rg_syd.jpg]]
->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/MikaKikuchi (Japanese dub)

--> ''Okay. I'm filthy, cranky, and my new shoes are trashed. Do you really wanna mess with me?''

Syd trained with Sky and Bridge as part of B-Squad, and came from a well off family. When Emperor Gruumm attacked Earth, she was given the Pink Ranger powers. He also has the ability to turn her hand into any material she grasps.
----
* ActionGirl: Despite her attitude, she can hold her own in a fight.
* AdaptationalIntelligence: Umeko was an airhead to the level of leaving her SP License in a clothing shop during her first feature episode.
* AdaptationalModesty: {{Downplayed|Trope}}. While Syd doesn't show as much skin as Umeko (and certainly doesn't have her bath scenes), she still has her moments as (and is still the show's) MsFanservice.
* GirlsLoveStuffedAnimals: Syd has a stuffed elephant named Peanuts and is upset to find it on Z's bed.
* IBrokeANail: Syd is quick to let everyone know when she breaks a nail while the team is goofing off, although she doesn't let it ruin how much fun she's having.
* IdolSinger: She becomes a model and a singer.
* {{Leitmotif}}: Some scenes focusing on her have [[{{Theatre/TheNutcracker}} The Dance of the Sugar-Plum Fairy]] playing over them, most notable in her retelling of the story in "Perspective" and her interrogation in "Zapped."
* LovableAlphaBitch: If [[SpacePolice Space Patrol Delta]] was a high school, then she'd be this trope in full. Syd is a GirlyGirl who can be acid-tongued on occasion (especially toward Z). However, she's generally loyal and caring, takes things like Sky dumping a bottle of water on her head with a good deal of humor, and is the first character shown treating Boom TheChewToy lab assistant nicely.
* MaterialMimicry: She can transform her fist to be made of any material that she touches.
* MusclesAreMeaningless: {{Justified|Trope}} when most of her feats of strength come when she transforms part of her body into a solid material. Even with her slim build, a limb made of iron or stone is gonna hit ''hard'' when she slams it into something.
* PinkHeroine: She is an SPD Cadet that was promoted to B-Squad Ranger status after years of training and becomes the Pink SPD Ranger.
* ShapeShifterWeapon: She can absorb solid materials and use them like a "PowerFist".
* TomboyAndGirlyGirl: Girly Girl to Z's Tomboy. (Despite the TomboyishName).
** GirlyGirlWithATomboyStreak: Syd is a LovableAlphaBitch type of girl who, even before becoming a Power Ranger, was a fencing champion for three years.

!!Other Rangers
[[folder:Commander Anubis "Doggie" Cruger / SPD Shadow Ranger]]
!!Commander Anubis "Doggie" Cruger / [[gray:SPD Shadow Ranger]] [-(Actor: John Tui)-]
!!! Eventually promoted to Supreme Commander, as revealed in ''Series/PowerRangersOperationOverdrive''
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/prspd_rg_doggie.jpg]]
->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/TetsuInada (Japanese dub), Darryl Kurylo (''VideoGame/PowerRangersSuperLegends'')

--> ''You have taken what was dearest to me, Benaag - but that has only made me stronger. I am SHADOW RANGER!''

Originally from the planet Sirius, Cruger was part of the original SPD when Emperor Gruumm attacked his planet. However, despite their best efforts, he was the lone survivor of Gruumm's attack, and lost his wife, who he believed was killed. Years later, he became the commander of the Earth Branch of SPD, and served as the mentor to both the A and B Squad Rangers. Eventually, he joined the fight as the Shadow Ranger.
----
* TheAce: As the Shadow Ranger, he easily outclasses the B-Squad in combat.
* AdaptationalAngstUpgrade: Doggie Kruger didn't have a DarkAndTroubledPast involving his entire planet dying or losing his wife to his enemies like Cruger here does.
* AdaptationalJerkass: Is a little more rough around the edges compared to Doggie Kruger from ''[[Series/TokusouSentaiDekaranger Dekaranger]]'', which is justified by the fact that he has a DarkAndTroubledPast unlike [[AdaptationalBackstoryChange Kruger]]. Fortunately, as the series progresses, he grows nicer.
* AloofAlly: He's not as active alongside the rangers when it comes to the frontlines, especially after Sam joins as the Omega Ranger. Justified since not only is he their commanding officer, but he also doesn't want the rangers to depend on him so much.
* BeastMan: Sort of of a dog man, if dogs had blue scales.
* BigGood: To the Earth branch of the SPD (and the SPD as a whole as of ''Operation Overdrive'')
* CommandingCoolness: His rank is "Commander" and he's one of S.P.D.'s strongest fighters. [[spoiler:He later gets promoted to ''Supreme Commander'' after Birdie's retirement]].
* CoolSword, HeroesPreferSwords: His personal sword the Shadow Saber, its guard is shaped like a canine and its maw can even open!
* CostumesChangeYourSize: Whenever he morphs into the Shadow Ranger, that helmet of his seemingly flattens his snout.
* AFatherToHisMen: The Rangers definitely come to see him as this, especially when he joins them in the field. As the series goes on, he pulls back somewhat in order to give the Rangers more independence, just as a real father would.
* FrontlineGeneral: He occasionally acts as the SixthRanger for the S.P.D. until the Omega Ranger's introduction. As Omega becomes the proper Sixth Ranger (role-wise), Cruger stays exclusively on MissionControl duties. Until the FinalBattle anyway.
* GoodIsNotNice: Cruger is a no-nonsense leader of a large organization, he doesn't hold back when he has to lay down the law.
* {{Hammerspace}}: So uh, where exactly is his snout supposed to be when he's wearing his Shadow Ranger helmet? If it isn't this, it'd probably smushed up against the side of its face.[[note]]Funnily enough, [[LampshadeHanging this was briefly addressed]] by his [[Series/TokusouSentaiDekaranger Dekaranger]] counterpart, but his only answer was an awkward "Don't ask."[[/note]]
* HeroicBSOD: Prior to becoming Shadow Ranger, he stays out of open combat situations due to losing his troops on planet Cyrius.
* HeroicDog: Yes, he's humanoid, but he's still a canine, so it counts.
* IconicSequelCharacter: Doggie is one of the most beloved mentor figures in the franchise's history despite appearing in the thirteenth season.
* ImplacableMan: In the finale, he just casually ''walks'' through Mora's last attempts at monster summoning, destroying every monster with a single stroke.
* ItHasBeenAnHonor: He states this word-for-word in the last episode when he and the Rangers are powerless and surrounded by Gruumm's minions. Fortunately, [[spoiler: Piggy has pulled a HeelFaceTurn by then, and shows up to rescue them.]]
* LastOfHisKind: [[spoiler: Or so he thinks.]]
* TheLostLenore: His wife Isinia was supposedly killed after his planet was destroyed. [[spoiler: Turns out she was actually alive and taken prisoner by Gruumm.]]
* MagicFeather: Doggie gives Jack his Shadow Saber in order to fend off a MasterSwordsman MonsterOfTheWeek. [[spoiler:Turns out it was a standard issue ''practice'' sword in disguise.]]
* MasterSwordsman: He's also teaching Jack some of his skills.
* MeaningfulName: His real name is [[Myth/EgyptianMythology Anubis]] and he's an anthropomorphic, alien dog. The Anubis in the mythologies was also the one who guided the dead to their final judgement by Osiris placing their hearts to be weighed with the feather of Ma'at, with the guilty getting their hearts eaten by Ammit, similar to how he and his team would judge the MonstersOfTheWeek before finishing them off.
* MovieSuperheroesWearBlack: When Kat is kidnapped. Doggie becomes the Shadow Ranger and learns that there is much that he doesn't know about the events on Sirius. When his superior officer Supreme Commander Birdie comes to Earth, Doggie is forced to split up the team. Since he doesn't comply, Birdie relieves him of duty. After Gruumm appears on Earth, Doggie must return as Shadow Ranger to save the team from Gruumm.
* OneManArmy: His debut as the Shadow Ranger had Doggie fighting off one hundred {{Mooks}} solo, and wasting all of them.
* PapaWolf: Endangering his Rangers is a very bad idea.
--> "Nobody messes with my Rangers!"
* RankScalesWithAsskicking: He's not afraid to lead his troops in combat, although as the series progresses, he accompanies them less to give them more independence in battle.
* SixthRanger: While Sam is the official Sixth Ranger, Kruger joins before the Omega Ranger's debut.
* SpellMyNameWithAnS: Just a reminder: Kruger, with a K, is his ''Dekaranger'' counterpart.

-> ''Tell me I didn't just fry the Quantum Enhancer. TELL ME I didn't just fry the Quantum Enhancer!''

A humanoid cat alien that serves as SPD's head scientist, creating the Ranger powers back in the year 2001. At one point, she became the Kat Ranger after using a morpher provided by Supreme Commander Birdie.
----
* AdaptationalSpeciesChange: For the animal part of Kat. In ''Dekaranger'', Swan Shiratori / [=DekaSwan=] was half swan, while Kat Manx / Kat Ranger in ''Power Rangers'' is half cat, although her Ranger armor looks the same.
* ActionGirl: As she proves it as Kat Ranger.
* BadassBookworm: Kat is a great scientist who nearly fights off several kidnappers while un-morphed, leads the defense of the S.P.D.'s base during the Troobian invasion and puts up a pretty memorable fight the one time she uses her Morpher.
* CatGirl: Quite literally.
* CatsAreMagic: She is given a one hour morpher from Birdie that she uses to morph into Kat Ranger to stop an old rival of hers who was working with Broodwing.
* CombatParkour: As the Kat Ranger, Kat does some impressive flipping and dodging during her one battle, while delivering some devastating kicks and taking out a whole squad of {{Mook}}s single-handedly in under three minutes.
* EmpoweredBadassNormal: Kat is nearly as formidable of a combatant as the Power Rangers under normal circumstances. While morphed, she's even tougher than some of the regular Rangers.
* HourOfPower: Her morpher can only work for a short time.
* MeaningfulName: Kat is a CatGirl.
* OlderThanTheyLook: Look below.
* ThePeterPrinciple: She was briefly promoted away from Earth SPD to run a scientific research post, with the rest of the team agreeing that she deserved the promotion. However, once Kat realised that she was now mainly supervising others' projects rather than doing her own work, she swiftly took advantage of an opportunity to return to Earth and her usual lab. It was never stated that she would be ''bad'' as a supervisor, but the problem was mainly that she enjoyed being hands-on and no longer had the opportunity to work to her strengths.
* ReallySevenHundredYearsOld : It's hard to believe, but Kat is actually aged 147 in ''Earth'' years. Then again, she is an alien.

[[folder:SPD Omega Ranger]]
!![[spoiler:Sam]] / [[white:SPD Omega Ranger]] [[spoiler:[-(Actor: Aaron James Murphy; voice actor: Brett Stewart)-]]]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/prspd_rg_sam.jpg]]
->'''Voiced by:''' Tomokazu Yoshida (Japanese dub), Creator/YuriLowenthal (''VideoGame/PowerRangersSuperLegends'')

In the present, [[spoiler:Sam]] was a child that could teleport objects to different locations. After being used by Mora and Bugglesworth, he joined SPD as a young recruit. Years later [[spoiler:Sam]] became the Omega Ranger, and traveled back to 2025 to stop Morgana from destroying the Earth. While the time travel caused his body to be trapped in a light sphere when unmorphed, he continues to fight with his friends.
----
* AdaptationalNiceGuy: He starts as a SmugSuper, but aside from that he is far more polite to the core Rangers than his counterpart was during his debut episodes.
* BallOfLightTransformation: After the time travel caused him to become a light orb. He can regain a solid, humanoid body form when he morphs into the Omega Ranger.
* CompositeCharacter: In Dekaranger, [[spoiler: the kid with teleporting powers and the SixthRanger were separate characters.]]
* CommutingOnABus: See below.
* DecompositeCharacter: Tetsu/[=DekaBreak=]'s backstory and personality are given to Sky despite Sam being his counterpart.
* DemotedToExtra: He was demoted compared to his counterpart [=DekaBreak=] from the source material. Disney forced a FakeShemp situation that the writers didn't want to deal with, and they wouldn't have included Omega Ranger at all if they weren't stuck with so much [=DekaBreak=] StockFootage.
* FutureBadass: [[spoiler:He's from the year 2040 and travels through a time portal to 2025 to aid SPD from an attack from Morgana and her friends Shorty & Devastation. He stays in 2025 after this fight but due to him traveling through a time portal, his corporeal form was turning into light energy, staying this way until he returned to his time.]].
* GoodWearsWhite: He befriends the SPD Rangers and grows up at the Delta Base, He eventually becomes the Omega Ranger by the year 2040.
* GetBackToTheFuture: During Omni’s attack on Earth, his friend, Nova travels to 2025 to bring him back to their time, returning him to his corporeal state.
* MysteriousProtector: At first. It took the Rangers a while to find out he'd been around for some time.
* PowerFist: The Omega Morpher acts like this, giving him access to different abilities.
* SetRightWhatOnceWentWrong: Was sent back in time to stop SPD from being defeated by Devastation to avert his BadFuture. Unlike [[Series/PowerRangersTurbo the Blue Senturion]], he actually ''succeeds'' in his first appearance. He just continues fighting alongside the present-day Rangers until Nova comes to pick him up.
* SixthRanger: Seventh to be exact. The first official Seventh Ranger. However, he acts more on the battlefield compared to Cruger, and is the first to help the Rangers.
* ShockAndAwe: One of his main attacks is the Electro Mode, which turns his fist into electricty.
* SmugSuper: Starts out as this, as his tech is miles beyond what the other SPD characters have.

[[folder:A-Squad Power Rangers '''(Spoilers)''']]
!!The A-Squad
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/asquad.jpg]]

The elite team of Power Rangers SPD had and were the first active squad of Rangers seen when the season began.
----
* AlwaysSomeoneBetter: Was this to the main heroes.
* AllThereInTheScript: Charlie's name is only mentioned in the end credits.
* BreakTheHaughty: At first, their superior skills were able to best B-Squad, and they even taunted them for being nothing but back ups. However, the B-Squad quickly proved them wrong with S.W.A.T mode, not only besting them on the ground, but in the Megazord fight.
* {{BFG}}: Their main weapons are some very big guns.
* CanonForeigner: They were created exclusively for ''SPD'' and have no Sentai counterpart.
* DirtyCop: Sided with the alien criminals they're supposed to be fighting.
* FaceHeelTurn: They willingly join Gruumm and were NotBrainwashed, although the comic adaptation retcons this to BrainwashedAndCrazy.
* FlatCharacter: Due to the short amount of screen time they have as villains, they have no real characterization beyond being egotistical evil rangers who switched sides.
* {{Foreshadowing}}: In the first episode, Bridge says their colors are a little off. Fast forward to later in the series and they're revealed to be working for the BigBad.
* NotBrainwashed: They're the first rangers to turn evil of their own volition, instead of being brainwashed or created to be evil.
* PsychoRangers: Unlike a lot of other examples, they started off as a legitimate heroic Ranger team, only to turn evil and end up facing their B-Squad counterparts.
* RetCanon: The concept of team members going bad is used as a major plot in the ''Dekaranger'' 10th anniversary movie (though there it's only the new red and yellow rangers).
* SmugSnake: All of them are very confident in their abilities. Charlie, as the leader, voices it most.
* TokenNonHuman: The A-Squad Blue Ranger is the only member who is an alien.
* TomboyishName: Charlie, [[SamusIsAGirl the red ranger]].
* URExample: Charlie is the first ever female red ranger in both sides of the pacific.

!!The Zords
[[folder: Delta Runners]]
!!Delta Runners/Delta Squad Megazord
S.P.D.'s main Zords on the Earth Branch. They serve as both the A-Squad and B-Squad's Zords and can combine to form the Delta Squad Megazord.
----
* AdaptedOut: The Dekaranger Robo, Full Blast Custom formation was not used as footage for that came from the ''Dekaranger'' summer movie and none of the footage from said movie was used.
* CombiningMecha: Five Delta Runner's that combine to form the Delta Squad Megazord.
* CoolCar: Delta Runner 1 is a sleek police cruiser themed Zord.
* CoolPlane: Delta Runner 2 is a futuristic gyrocopter themed Zord.
* CoolSword: The Delta Megazord's secondary weapon is the Delta Sword, a sword combined from the sword blade stored in Delta Runner 3 and the hi beam roof from Delta Runner 4.
* FinishingMove: Once fully charged, the Delta Megazord fires a series of lasers at the alien to confine them, or destroy an enemy Robot.
* GatlingGood: The Delta Runner 2 sports Gatling blasters under its engines.
* HandCannon: The Delta Megazord's main weapon is the Delta Blaster, a large hand blaster holstered in Delta Runner 3. Said Zord can use it in battle by itself.
* ImpossiblyGracefulGiant: Despite being a normal bulky Megazord, the Delta Squad Megazord can perform jumps, leaps, and rolls during fights.
* KilledOffForReal: [[spoiler:It was destroyed in the finale by the combine efforts of the compromised Delta Command Megazord and the A-Squad Megazord]].
* LeaderFormsTheHead: Delta Runner 1 forms the main torso and head of the Delta Squad Megazord.
* ShrinkRay: The Megazord sports a pair of Shrink Cuffs that can shrink an alien back to human sized if the Judgement Scanner deems them innocent.
* UnorthodoxHolstering: The Delta Squad Megazord normally keeps the Delta Blaster inside the leg Delta Runner 3 formed. This technically makes it the Megazord equivalent to Robocop.
* WreckedWeapon: [[spoiler:In the finale, the Delta Sword is destroyed shortly before the Megazord itself is.]]

[[folder:Delta Command Base]]
!!Delta Command Base/Delta Command Megazord
The home base for S.P.D on Earth. After Kat upgraded it to transform into the Delta Command Megazord, it serves as the Shadow Ranger's personal Zord.
----
* ArmCannon: The Delta Command Megazord sports hands that can shoot lasers, or Super Crime Scene Tape to tie people up.
* AwesomePersonnelCarrier: The Delta Command Crawler can carry the Delta Runners into battle.
* FinishingMove: At full power, the Delta Command Megazord can fire a powerful energy wave from its chest. Wootox taking it for a test run blew up a nearby mountain.
* GrandTheftMe: There were two instances where the Delta Command Megazord was taken over by criminals. The first time was Wootox, and the second time was Broodwing and his goons.
* HomeBase: It serves as the home base for S.P.D on Earth.
* HumongousMecha: The largest Megazord the S.P.D team has.
* MightyGlacier: The Delta Command Megazord is the largest, strongest, and toughest Megazord on the heroes' side, but its sheer size means it doesn't tend to move much if at all, so a fast enough enemy can run rings around it and rack up the damage.
* TransformingMecha: The Delta Command Base can transform to the tank like Delta Command Crawler, and then into the humanoid Delta Command Megazord.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Omegamax Cycle]]
!!Omegamax Cycle/Omegamax Megazord
The Omega Ranger's personal Zord.
----
* BareFistedMonk: As the Deltamax Megazord, it lacks weapons but it makes up with powerful punches.
* BladeBelowTheShoulder: The Omegamax Megazord wields two blades that can stick out from its arms.
* CoolBike: A giant bike Zord the Omega Ranger pilots. On some occasions, the Delta Squad Megazord can ride it like a normal motorcycle. [[spoiler:In the finale, B-Squad use the Cycle to storm the Delta Command Megazord to take it back from Broodwing.]]
* FinishingMove:
** '''Delta Squad Megazord Rider''': A sped up version of the Delta Squad Megazord's normal finisher.
** '''Omegamax Megazord''': ''Omegamax Spin-Out Attack'': The Megazord charges forward before flying into the air and spinning downwards while using its blades to slash through its target.
** '''Deltamax Megazord''': The Megazord charges at its target at full speed and launches a flurry of punches to defeat them.
* MechaExpansionPack: The Omegamax Cycle can combine with the Delta Squad Megazord to form the Deltamax Megazord.
* TransformingMecha: The Omegamax Cycle can transform into the Omegamax Megazord.
* WreckedWeapon: During the fight with the first Dragoul, the monster manages to melt one of the Omegamax Megazord's blades, which also marks the point the Megazord starts getting pummeled into the dirt.

[[folder:S.W.A.T. Flyers]]
!!S.W.A.T. Flyers/S.W.A.T. Megazord
The B-Squad Rangers' secondary set of Zords create by Kat. They are primarily used while the Rangers are in S.W.A.T. Mode.
----
* {{BFG}}: The S.W.A.T. Megazord's Flyer Cannon Mode is a humongous cannon. In the battle against Dragoul, the three remaining Megazords held the S.W.A.T. Flyer Cannon no different than using R.I.C. in its Canine Cannon Mode to defeat the monster.
* CombiningMecha: The S.W.A.T. Megazord is comprised of five S.W.A.T. Flyers.
* CoolPlane: All the S.W.A.T. Flyers are sleek futuristic jet fighter themed Zords.
* DavidVersusGoliath: In the finale, [[spoiler:it's the David to Omni's Goliath, who is more comparable in size to the Delta Command Megazord. Despite the disadvantage, however, the S.W.A.T. Megazord triumphs via shooting Omni in an exposed weakpoint courtesy of Cruger.]]
* DualWielding: The S.W.A.T. Megazord wields two blasters as its main weapon.
* FinishingMove: Once the S.W.A.T. Megazord transforms into the S.W.A.T. Flyer Cannon, it fires a powerful blast at its target to end the battle.
* FlyingFirepower: Its major advantage over all the other Megazords is that it's the only one capable of full uninhibited flight.
* LeaderFormsTheHead: S.W.A.T. Flyer 1 forms the main torso, upper legs, and the head of the Delta Squad Megazord.
* TransformingMecha: The S.W.A.T. Megazord can transform into the gigantic S.W.A.T. Flyer Cannon.
* WeNeedADistraction: [[spoiler:B-Squad has Sam pilot the S.W.A.T. Megazord in the finale to distract Broodwing in the hijacked Delta Command Megazord so they can board it and take back control.]]

--> ''I'd be psyched if I were the Red Ranger!''
--> ''You'd be psyched if you were the Pink Ranger...!''
--> ''({{Beat}}) True...''

A former SPD cadet who flunked out of the Academy only a few days in and serves as Kat's assistant and Chief Gadget Tester.
----
* AscendedFanboy: He's a fanboy, all right, but the "Ascended" part is averted; he's one of the few cast members that ''doesn't'' get a morpher at some point.
* BadassNormal: Despite getting kicked out of the academy, not being a Ranger and never showing superhuman abilities, Boom proves his skills during the final battle with a RousingSpeech and manages to get through without a scratch on him. Of note is the fact that in the first episode, he was throwing around the three best students at the academy like they were rag-dolls during a training simulation.
* TheChewToy: He tends to be on the receiving end of Kat's experiments, regardless of whether or not it was intended to do something painful to him.
* EinsteinHair: Boom works in a weapons laboratory (albeit as the assistant and test subject), and his hair is often uncombed and sticking up a little.
* RousingSpeech: Delivers one before the final battle, convincing everyone to stay and fight. Oddly enough, this speech has more of a GoYeHeroesGoAndDie vibe, yet no one runs away after he gives it.
* PluckyComicRelief: From start to finish, [[CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass though he does have his moments]].
* WellDoneSonGuy: Boom dons a Power Ranger costume (one without actual powers) to make his parents think that he's a Power Ranger and not a washout when they come for a visit.

[[folder:R.I.C.]]
!!R.I.C. (Robotic Interactive Canine)
[[quoteright:282:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ric.jpg]]

A robotic canine that serves as the Rangers Canine Cannon after being upgraded into R.I.C. 2.0. He later served as Jack's Battlizer armor after another upgrade.
----
* {{BFG}}: He turns into one, aka the Canine Cannon.
* BigFriendlyDog: Robotic version.
* CloudCuckooLander: Before his upgrade, he would make any sound ''except'' for a dog barking, such as a rooster crowing or a monkey squealing. There's also the fact he would randomly discharge coolant in such a way it looks like he's peeing (he still does it after the upgrade, but far less obviously and frequently) and suddenly start sparking and emitting smoke at random.
* DoAnythingRobot: Even after he was rebuilt, he had a list of auxiliary functions a mile long.
* HeroicDog: He's a heroic robot dog.
* HeroicSacrifice: Takes multiple shots to protect Syd from an ambush by Troobians. [[WeCanRebuildHim He gets better]] though.
* KarmicJackpot: They wanted to junk R.I.C., but rebuilt him instead. Besides the help and saves he gave throughout the series, in the final episodes, summoning R.I.C. freed Kat and Boone after Broodwing's takeover of the S.P.D. Base/Zord, enabling them to shutdown power to the Zord, enabling B-Squad to overcome A-Squad, Broodwing, and Broodwing's Generals. The outcome of the series rested on loyalty to a dog they wanted to put down.
* RetCanon: R.I.C.'s sentai counterpart Murphy also becomes capable of turning into the red ranger's battlelizer during the ''[[Series/MahouSentaiMagiranger Magiranger]] vs. Dekaranger'' team up movie which premiered the same year as S.P.D.
* RobotDog: He's a robot and shaped and programmed as dog. At the start of the series, he was set to be deactivated and retired due to glitches in his programming along with the obsolete nature of his design, but he got new life bred into him thanks to his repairs and upgrades after his HeroicSacrifice.
* TeamPet: To SPD.
* ThereWasADoor: The first time they use his tracking capabilities, he's so eager to go he crashes through a metal door while it's still closed. Later in the episode, when he hears Syd is in trouble, he smashes through the now-fixed door ''again''.
-->'''Cruger:''' I just had that fixed.
* WeCanRebuildHim: After his damage saving Syd, he was to be thrown away. Syd was too grateful that she got Bridge and Boom to rebuild him. He becomes both a finishing weapon and Jack's Battlizers.

* BackForTheFinale: He shows up as part of the SPD reinforcements in the finale.
* BullyBulldog: Owns a bulldog version of R.I.C.
* DrillSergeantNasty: As shown in the episode focused on him.

* NoCelebritiesWereHarmed: Like every DrillSergeantNasty in the last few decades, he's basically an Creator/RLeeErmey caricature.

----
* AdaptationalJerkass: Numa-Oh in ''Dekaranger'' was never even close to how much of a jerk and obstructive commander Birdie was at first.
* BadassBureaucrat: He has ''many'' flaws, but cowardice isn't one of them. He's willing to take the fight to Gruumm personally.
* BigGood: Of SPD as a whole.
* BirdPeople: He's a bird.
* CurbStompBattle: On the receiving end of one, courtesy of Emperor Gruumm himself.

----
* AbhorrentAdmirer: All of his direct interactions with Syd, from seemingly checking her out to blowing a kiss at her, suggests he has something of a crush on her. If so, it's a crush Syd more than likely doesn't reciprocate given she openly calls him disgusting, [[InsultBackfire something he finds flattering]].
* BigDamnHeroes: In the finale, he dresses as a Krybot and shoots down the rest of the squad sent to execute the depowered S.P.D.
* CanonForeigner: Has nothing remotely close to an inspiration in Dekaranger.
* DirtyCoward: The only reason he's helping all sides is fear of what either one could do to him.
* DoubleAgent: ''Triple'' agent for Gruumm, Broodwing, and SPD.
* FateWorseThanDeath: He says he'd rather be vaporized by either Gruumm or Broodwing than be imprisoned within one of the Rangers' cards.
* GiveMeASign: In the finale, Piggy's guilty over betraying the Rangers and shouts this. [[LaserGuidedKarma His food cart is promptly struck by lightning, sent careening down a hill, and explodes]].

An intergalactic bounty hunter in search of Hydrax, but was mistaken as a criminal by the Rangers.
----
* AdaptationalHeroism: In ''Dekaranger'' he was a vandal with a FreudianExcuse. In ''SPD'' he's a bounty hunter (though a bullheaded one) tracking down a dangerous thief.
* AntiVillain: He was a bounty hunter that was looking for the real bank robber, Hydrax. He only fought against the Rangers due to the Rangers (minus Bridge) thinking he was the bank robber, and that Broodwing forced him to grow giant sized.
* BladeBelowTheShoulder: He has one on his wrist that is strong enough to cut through steel.
* OnlyKnownByTheirNickname: Z calls him T-Top because she has trouble with his actual name. It sticks.
* PoorCommunicationKills: One reason he's made out to be a criminal is that he doesn't bother to tell B-Squad anything about why he's on Earth. In fact, when they ask, he blows them off.
* TheScapegoat: Was made to be the bank robber due to the Ranger's wrong interpretation, and that Hydrax tried to frame him.
* SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome: Even if he was not the bank robber, he was still punished for causing destruction around New Tech City, albeit being banned from going back to Earth instead of being confined in a card like Hydrax.

* LockedOutOfTheLoop: Due to originating from feudal Japan, Katana had no idea what a Power Ranger was. This made him easy for Broodwing to manipulate him.
* NobleDemon: At one point, he knocked Jack's weapons out of his hands, only to give them back to him not long after.

!Troobian Empire
[[folder:In General]]
* ArmyOfThievesAndWhores: Apart from Gruumm and the Krybots, the Troobian forces seem to mostly be made up of criminals Gruumm recruited to join his campaign of world-plundering.
* TheEmpire: They apparently have a trail of conquest that spans across galaxies, though we see very little of their actual empire.
* OddlySmallOrganization: They're stated to be an evil empire, but most of the time their roster only consists of Emperor Gruum and Mora. They seem to get all of their {{Mooks}} from Broodwing, and most of the monsters of the week they send out are just alien criminals they employ. It makes you question just what exactly a "Troobian" is.

->'''Voiced by:''' Tetsuo Komura (Japanese dub)

--> ''You returned with nothing. [[YouHaveFailedMe Therefore, you shall be nothing.]] [..] I need another.''

The leader of the Troobian Empire whose ultimate goal is to conquer other worlds. He sets Earth as his next target.
----
* ArchEnemy: He and Cruger share an intense loathing for one another, given how Grumm destroyed his homeworld. Grumm's enmity is ultimately pettier by comparison, since Cruger cut off one of his horns, leaving his helmet asymmetrical. Despite that, Cruger is the only member of SPD whose name he bothers remembering, and he only ever leaves his ship for the sole purpose of battling him after he becames the Shadow Ranger.
* BadassBiker: When he actually fights. Only Cruger outclasses him.
* BadBoss: Gruumm likes to beat up or destroy minor henchmen who offer bad suggestions or fail to defeat the Rangers. He also constantly gets upset when Mora demands to be treated more seriously and threatens to transform her back into the adult body she hates, eventually going through with that threat.
* BigBad: Leader of the Troobian Empire who plans to take over the Earth. [[spoiler: That said, he's revealed to have a master.]]
* TheBully: His interactions with his minions and Piggy show him to be this. He pushes them around and threatens them because he knows they can't really do anything to him. This is probably shown best when he steals a doll from Mora just so he can have it as a trophy.
* CanonForeigner: He and his empire have no counterpart in ''Dekaranger''.
* TheComicallySerious: In his interactions with Mora, doing things like forcing Broodwing into a tea party with her or playing with a toy.
* DisproportionateRetribution: His long enmity with Cruger comes from a battle where Cruger cut one of his horns off. [[spoiler: [[LaserGuidedKarma He loses the other one]] in the FinalBattle.]]
* EnemyToAllLivingThings : ''Flowers wither'' in his presence when he first arrives to Earth.
* FashionableAsymmetry: Cruger cut off his right horn. Does little to diminish his appearance.
* GalacticConqueror: Has conquered many worlds, boasted entire galaxies, prior to coming to Earth. [[OddlySmallOrganization What he has for an army doesn't reflect this]].
* GeniusBruiser: He is a formidable fighter, and also a schemer who successfully got Cruger to send the A-Squad away from Earth by attack elsewhere before launching his invasion. Despite the defeats his underlings suffer, he manages to score victories by using a MonsterOfTheWeek as a distraction while he takes resources from Earth.
* GetItOverWith: "Show me no mercy, Cruger! No mercy!" [[spoiler: Depending on your definition, Cruger doesn't - he lops off the other horn and imprisons him.]]
* GlowingEyesOfDoom / RedEyesTakeWarning: His eyes are glowing red.
* GreenAndMean: Him being green just makes his skeletal appearance seem even creepier. He's also an evil conqueror who [[BadBoss treats his minions poorly]].
* HateSink: He destroyed hundreds of planets, killed nearly the whole population of at least one (because of his personal grudge against Cruger), and treated his minions unfairly. He stands out as one of the most irredeemable villains in the history of the franchise.
* HiddenAgendaVillain: He launches schemes that steal resources from Earth in addition to the typical MonsterOfTheWeek plans, which eventually causes the Rangers to realize he has a secret plan since he could just destroy the planet from orbit like he did to one he deemed of no value in the first episode. [[spoiler: Turns out that was to build a body for Omni.]]
* ItsPersonal: He harbors a longstanding personal grudge against Cruger relating to his missing horn. Said horn was chopped off by Cruger's Shadow Saber when the two faced each other in battle an unspecified number of years prior to the start of the series.
* LargeHam: You can count the number of times he doesn't ham up the scenery on your fingers.
* LastVillainStand: [[spoiler:After the rest of his army has been defeated and captured and [[GreaterScopeVillain Omni]] has been destroyed, Gruumm emerges from the rubble and challenges Cruger to a final battle.]]
* MoralMyopia: Conquering and destroying planets and abusing his minions is totally fine by him, but Cruger cutting off one of his horns trying to stop him (while he also invaded his homeworld) is considered an unforgivable slight to the point where he vows to spite him in any way he can, in addition to killing him.
* TheOnlyOneAllowedToDefeatYou: Insists that only he is allowed to defeat Cruger, to the point where he has told underlings to stay away from him because he wants to kill him himself.
* OrcusOnHisThrone: Naturally being a Power Rangers BigBad, he rarely gets up to face the Rangers himself, but to his credit he is more active than the typical main villain for the franchise.
* OriginalGeneration: No Sentai counterpart for him.
* PostFinalBoss: The climax of the finale is the Rangers' battle with Omni, after which Gruumm and Cruger have one last battle.
* TalkingToThemself: Early in the series, there were brief moments where Gruumm would sit alone in a dark room, seemingly talking with himself regarding the Rangers and how to defeat them. [[spoiler:The end of Shadow Part 2 reveals that in reality, someone or something is in the room with him. It would later turn out to be the room in which he speaks with Omni.]]
* TrueFinalBoss: With ''Series/PowerRangersCosmicFury'' marking the end of the original continuity and it taking place 2 years before ''SPD'', Emperor Gruumm serves as the last known opponent faced by the Power Rangers.
* TheSociopath: Not only does he lack empathy for victim and subordinate alike, he is extremely petty in his rivalry with Cruger and he's good at using huge distractions to create a body for Omni. This also extends even to his master, as when Omni was destroyed, Gruumm was more concerned with finally settling the score with Cruger than taking any time to mourn his death.
* VillainHasAPoint: He decides to stop paying Broodwing for his services that his minions can't afford and demands ''free'' weapons, anathema to an OnlyInItForTheMoney arms dealer, but considering the fact that Gruumm was paying good money for robots and weapons that consistently get destroyed despite Broodwing's improvements and insistence otherwise, one can't blame him for deciding to stop throwing away money.
* VillainousValor: For all his faults, cowardice isn't one of them. Despite previously losing against Cruger, he relishes the chance to fight him again. [[spoiler: Even when the rest of his army is defeated he refused to give up.]]
* VillainsWantMercy: Inverted. Gruumm refuses Cruger's help when he seems to fall to his doom and when he loses the final battle, he insists that Cruger show him no mercy and finish him off, becoming pissed off when he realizes that instead he's been imprisoned.
* WreckedWeapon: [[spoiler:Cruger ends their final showdown fairly decisively by breaking his staff in two]].
* YouHaveFailedMe: He's not afraid to murder the people who fail him, be they his own robots or hired mercenaries.

[[folder:The Magnificence '''(SPOILERS!)''']]
!!Omni / The Magnificence [-(Voice actor: Geoff Dolan)-]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/hqdefault_981.jpg]]

A giant brain housed in a orb tank in a room on Gruumm's spacecraft, and the secret leader of the Troobian Army.
----
* AttackOfTheFiftyFootWhatever: The Magnificance as he calls it, a body that Gruumm made from his ship. It's even larger than the Delta Command Megazord.
* BrainMonster: The real form of Omni is a giant brain with an eye stalk and tentacles.
* TheCorrupter: Well, Mora was already evil, but exposure to Omni's gases made her lose interest in her childish ideals, even tossing away her doll.
* {{Expy}}: A CompositeCharacter of three characters from different ''Franchise/SuperSentai'' series.
** The majority of its character comes from [[Series/TaiyouSentaiSunVulcan the Omnipotent God]], being [[spoiler:a living BrainInAJar who stays in the shadows]] and secretly gives orders to another villain for most of the series.
** Some of Omni's other attributes come from [[Series/BakuryuuSentaiAbaranger Wicked Life God Dezumozorlya]] (who did not have a direct counterpart in ''Dino Thunder''), being a visceral, tentacled entity worshipped by the villain faction.
** Finally, it manipulating the villains from behind the scenes and then using their base as a body to rampage with brings to mind Vulgyre from ''Series/ChikyuuSentaiFiveman''.
* FinalBoss: The last major threat the SPD Rangers face in the series. Cruger's fight with Gruumm is a PostClimaxConfrontation.
* GenericDoomsdayVillain: Spends the majority of the show offscreen, and as a result, when he ''does'' show up, he doesn't display much of a personality.
* GiantSpaceFleaFromNowhere He doesn't show up at all until the 35th (out of 38) episode and no origin is ever given for him, nor an explanation as to why Gruumm is serving him.
* GreaterScopeVillain: It only appears in 3 episodes and speaks in 2 of them, but it is Gruumm's master and all of the plans were to turn Gruumm's ship into a new body for it.
* LargeAndInCharge: It's a giant brain in a tank even larger than Gruumm. Especially when it gets its body.
* TheMagnificent: Almost a literal example. Omni appears to be its true name, but it's also referred to as "the Magnifience."
* TheManBehindTheMan: We don't learn Gruumm is its minion until the very end of the series.
* PragmaticVillainy: His reason for rejecting Gruumm's requests to kill Cruger is this. Settling a petty grudge does not help Omni's plans for a new body in any way.
* NiceJobFixingItVillain: Refuses to allow Gruumm to kill Cruger and the Power Rangers when he has the chance, until The Magnificance is completed. This allows Piggy to sneak aboard the ship and free the Rangers.
* OriginalGeneration: Like Gruumm he has no counterpart in ''Dekaranger'', although he is partially inspired by several ''Sentai'' villains.
* WalkingSpoiler: Only appears in 3 episodes, but plays an important role overall in the final episodes.

!!Generals
[[folder:Mora]]
!!Mora / Morgana [-(Actress: Olivia James-Baird / Josephine Davidson)-]
[[quoteright:320:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/morgana_fight_mode.jpg]]
->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/ShizukaIto (both forms, Japanese dub)

A 10 year old girl who serves as Gruumm's monster creator. Her real form is a young women named Morgana, although she hates being in that age.
----
* AmbiguouslyHuman: She looks human, though she's capable of bringing monsters to life and energy blasts. Although given the season's setting, she could be an alien.
* ArtInitiatesLife: Can [[MakerOfMonsters create monsters from her drawings]].
* AscendedExtra: Morgana's ''Dekaranger'' counterpart was simply one of the three villains of [=DekaBreak=]'s introductory arc (explaining why she was active when Shorty and Devastation showed up) and later showed up in the ''Abaranger'' crossover. She's one of the core villains in ''SPD''.
* BrattyHalfPint: As Mora, though she retains this personality as Morgana.
* TheBaroness: Morgana fits the sexpot variety, but for some reason sees herself as ugly and wants to remain young. She's also shown to have NoSenseOfPersonalSpace when she uses her body to pin Z against a tree after combat.
* CompositeCharacter: Her design is taken from ''Dekaranger''[='=]s Reversian Hell Succubus, but her personality, change between a bratty child-like form and a still-bratty adult form were all taken from [[Series/BakuryuuSentaiAbaranger Apostle of Dawn Lije/Lijewel]], whose character went unadapted in ''Power Rangers Dino Thunder''.
* CreepyChild: As Mora.
* DarkActionGirl: As Morgana.
* TheDragon: Gruumm's primary henchwoman throughout the series.
* DroppedABridgeOnHer: She shows up in ''one'' scene in the last episode and is arrested, then not spoken of or referenced again.
* EnfantTerrible: As Mora, displaying a total lack of regard for anyone else and treating people as toys.
* GrowingUpSucks: So much that it is used ''as a punishment''.
* ImmortalImmaturity: Quite literally wants to be a little kid ''forever'', which would make her effectively immortal. She also keeps acting childish even when she is returned to being Morgana, which is implied to be her real form.
* InexplicablyAwesome: How she is able to create monsters is never explained.
* ItsPersonal: She holds a grudge against Z for zapping her beloved doll Cindy Sunshine in "Sam"
* MeaningfulName: Mora comes from the word "Morado", which is the Spanish word for "Purple", and she wears purple clothes in her adult form.
* MysteriousPast: Who she was and why she wants to remain a child were never explored. Cruger seems to have known her prior to the series, but it never goes any further than that.
* NotEvenBotheringWithTheAccent: Compared to the other actors, her New Zealand accent really stands out.
%%* OlderThanTheyLook: Justified as Mora is actually an adult woman who wants to remain young.
* PsychopathicWomanchild: As Morgana she retains much of Mora's childishness and all her sociopathy.
* PurpleIsPowerful: As Morgana, she wears a purple battlesuit and is quite powerful as she was capable of martial arts and energy projection.
* TattooedCrook: She has a purple lightning bolt tattoo under her left eye. It's significance and how she got are never brought up.
* WorkingForABodyUpgrade: Well, ''she'' considers it an upgrade.

[[folder:Broodwing]]
!!Broodwing [-(Voice actor: Jim [=McLarty=])-]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/full_0.jpg]]
->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/MasamiIwasaki (Japanese dub)

--> '' That was not a very clever plan you had, Broodwing. If the Rangers find out about you. It may jeopardize my mission.''
--> '' Understood your excellence. I'm just trying to make a living.''
--> ''I do A LOT of business with you, did you show no allegiance? The highest bidder gets your devotion. I should end our relationship now… for your betrayal.''
--> '' Or you could just pay me more.''

A three-eyed vampire bat-like alien who is encased in an artificial environment as demonstrated by the jar on his head. He serves as the Troobian Empire's arms dealer, providing robots and weapons to use.
----
* AdaptationalNiceGuy: He's still a greedy ArmsDealer with no good inside him, but Abrella also did it for the fun of it as well and has supported and assisted in even the most severe and perverted crimes. Given some of the Alienizer crimes would not be appropriate for this family-oriented adaptation, Broodwing is a lesser known criminal who works for the highest bidder instead of the leader of a criminal empire.
* ArmsDealer: Sells Gruumm his weapons.
* BadassCape: His outfit has one.
* BatOutOfHell: He appears to be an alien bat monster. He has a swarm of bats follow him whose bites can cause growth.
* BigBadWannabe: Once he turns against Gruumm, he tries to conquer Earth himself. While Broodwing proves a legitimate threat, he is never able to pose the same level of threat Gruumm is.
* DemotedToExtra: Like [[Series/PowerRangersTimeForce Gluto]] and [[Series/PowerRangersLostGalaxy Captain Mutiny]] before him, Broodwing's Sentai counterpart Agent Abrella was the BigBad. Unlike Gluto and Captain Mutiny, though, Broodwing was still a major antagonist throughout the season.
* EstablishingCharacterMoment: The above conversation, quoted from "A-Bridged"; Broodwing's loyalty belongs to whoever pays him well enough.
* EvilVersusEvil: He eventually turns against Gruumm, but only because he was pissed at Gruumm refusing to pay him. He's still against the Rangers partly because he knows defeating them would make Gruumm look like a laughingstock, and partly because he knows he can't buy them off.
* MakeMyMonsterGrow: In a rare occurrence to a series that mostly averts this trope, Broodwing has a bat come from his swarm to bite the MonsterOfTheWeek, making the monster grow.
* OnlyInItForTheMoney: Unlike most villains in Power Rangers, he just wants profit.
* SharpDressedMan: Part of his body makes him look like one, complete with a tie around his neck.
* SmugSnake: He likes to talk a big game about his robots and weapons, but the Rangers keep tearing through them time and time again, no matter how powerful they are or who utilized them (even Broodwing himself couldn't beat them with one of his own robots). In fact, it was this little fact combined with the expensiveness of said arsenal that caused Gruumm to refuse to pay him anymore if his monsters can't afford it.
* SparedByTheAdaptation: Like every other bad guy who got confined to a card.
* TheSociopath: He is only concerned with money, with anyone suffering under the tyranny of the Troobian Empire beneath his concern, and only turns on Gruumm after he decides to stop paying him, not altruism.
* TheStarscream: Unlike most versions, he's not interested in taking Gruumm's place, but wanted him out as payback for refusing to pay for his services any longer.
* VoluntaryShapeshifting: Can shift his arms into a set of wings, or take the form of a swarm of bats.
[[/folder]]

!!Mooks
[[folder:Krybots]]
!!Krybots
Robotic drones that serve as the Troobian Empire's grunt force.
----
* ArmCannon: They are armed with mounted blasters on their hands
* {{Mooks}}: For the Troobian Empire.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Blue-Head Krybots]]
!!Blue-Head Krybots
->'''Voiced by:''' Derek Judge
Elite versions of the normal Krybots that serve as Emperor Gruumm's personal guards.
----
* DegradedBoss: The first Blue-Head was a MonsterOfTheWeek.
* EliteMooks: They are a step up from a normal Krybot. They also occasionally pilot giant robots.
* FakeUltimateMook: By the second half of the series they are treated no differently than normal Krybots, to the point that people without powers and unmorphed rangers can easily defeat them.
* WhatMeasureIsAMook: If they fail Emperor Gruumm, he will destroy them, reducing them to a small metal chip, then turn that chip into a fresh new Blue-Head.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Orange-Head Krybots]]
!!Orange-Head Krybots
->'''Voiced by:''' James Gaylyn
Elite versions of both the normal Krybots and the Blue-Head Krybots.
----
* ConservationofNinjutsu: How much of a threat these pose depends on their numbers. If there is just one of them, they prove a challenge. If a large number of them appear, the Rangers will use a power up to mow them down.
* DragonInChief: The first one served as this to Bugglesworth. Bugglesworth had no real capacity to fight, but the Orange-Head easily beat the Rangers in their initial battles.
* DegradedBoss: The first Orange-Head was a secondary MonsterOfTheWeek, being strong enough to require the Canine Cannon to destroy it.
* EliteMooks: They are the most powerful grunts Gruumm has. Every time they appear, the Rangers have a hard time defeating one. (At least initially, averted in future appearances.)
* FakeUltimateMook: By the second half of the series they are treated no differently than normal Krybots, to the point that people without powers and unmorphed rangers can easily defeat them.
* WakeUpCallBoss: Of these was the first villain to hand the Rangers a defeat.
* TheWorfEffect: [[KingpinInHisGym Morgana is seen easily destroying these]] before launching her plan with Shorty, showing how dangerous she was. Gruumm complimented her and said she would train with Krybots in the future because he couldn't have her destroying his best robots.

!!Others
[[folder:Alien Criminals]]
!!In General
* AdaptedOut: Gimonian Angorl, Tenkaonian Raja Namunan, and Zabunian Don Blaco were not adapted from ''Dekaranger''.
* NonLethalKO: Every evil alien S.P.D. fights against are ''captured'' in a giant explosion via confinement cards. [[SetSwordsToStun Even Cruger's Shadow Saber merely captures the perps.]] The only other Ranger team to do this are the '"Time Force'' Rangers (and unlike Time Force, [[{{Bowdlerize}} this was not carried over from the Sentai.]])
* SparedByTheAdaptation: Unlike in ''Dekaranger'' where the criminals are deleted if proven guilty, in ''Power Rangers'', they're arrested and contained in cards. However, there are cases where the criminals do die at the end of their episodes, so they will be noted under their sections.

!!Praxis
-> '''Voiced by:''' Bruce Hopkins
A blue diamond themed bee-like alien created from Mora's drawings. He wields a diamond shaped gun when battling the Rangers.
----
* AdaptedOut:
** His human form from ''Dekaranger'' was not used.
** Also, he had a dragster like vehicle in the Sentai that was not adapted.
* DemotedToExtra: Downplayed. Praxis' ''Dekaranger'' counterpart appeared in the first two episodes, but here, he only appears in one.
* IHaveManyNames: In the video game adaptation, Praxis was incorrectly called Salimoht.
* StarterVillain: The first proper criminal the B-Squad Rangers fought against as the first two episodes had them fight against a Blue-Head.

!!Ringbah
-> '''Voiced by:''' Bruce Hopkins
An alien bounty hunter Gruumm hired to take on the B-Squad Rangers.
----
* TopHeavyGuy: Has huge shoulders and looks bulky on his top half than on his lower half.
* WeNeedADistraction: His main purpose, other than fight against the Rangers, was to distract them long enough for Gruumm to steal the diamonds. Made no better that Sky purposely ignored Jack's orders to stay and watch them out of spite.
* YouHaveFailedMe: Nearly suffers this fate from Gruumm when he retreated from a battle with the Rangers, but Mora convinces him to spare him by noting that not only is he a good bounty hunter, but he lost because his robot ran out of energy, rather than any mistake.

!!Parsnippity
-> '''Voiced by:''' ??
A minor monster.
----
* CanonForeigner: He had no ''Dekaranger'' counterpart as he was made from leftover costume bits from previous ''Power Rangers'' monsters.
* HarmlessVillain: His evil plan to turn people into parsnips. Gruumm tosses him aside into space with only the barest glance to an unimpressed Mora.

!!Scaleface
-> '''Voiced by:''' Mick Innes
A minor monster.
----
* CanonForeigner: He had no ''Dekaranger'' counterpart.
* HarmlessVillain: His evil plan to use hand puppets for unknown reasons. Gruumm doesn't even hesitate to just blast him into nothingness with his staff.

!!Rhinix
-> '''Voiced by:''' Mark Wright
A rhino-like alien criminal who buys a chemical from Piggy that turns humans into an ooze, which can be used as energy.
----
* BattleBoomerang: Wields two steel boomerangs.
* TheBusCameBack: Sort of. He was cloned by Slate in ''Reflections''.
* HornAttack: He can fire his horn as a projectile that regrows. However, should the horn be damaged otherwise, as when Syd slices it off, it stays broken.
* HumanResources: His evil plan is to turn humans into slime that can then be used as energy fuel. Mora is impressed, and Gruumm actually approves of it.
* MadeOfIron: He had very durable armor, which made it difficult for the Rangers to face off against him without the Canine Cannon.
* NoOntologicalInertia: Once the Rangers contained him in a card, all his victims returned to normal.
* RammingAlwaysWorks: He uses this for attacks.
* RhinoRampage: An evil rhino alien.

!!Hydrax
-> '''Portrayed by/Voiced by:''' Sarah Thomson
A Fernovian intergalactic bank robber who tried to frame T-Top.
----
* AWolfInSheepsClothing: Took on a human disguise by the name Diane.
* TheBusCameBack: Sort of. She was cloned by Slate in ''Reflections''.
* CoolSword: Wielded a plant themed one in her fight against the Rangers.
* MakingASplash: She can generate high-pressure water blasts from her limbs, strong enough to cut through metal.
* PlantAliens: Her species is described as plant-based.

!!Bugglesworth
-> '''Voiced by:''' Kelson Henderson
A Cthulhu-like monster created from Mora's drawing that tricked Sam to use his teleportation powers for evil.
----
* AndIMustScream: Any victim he turns into dolls still has their conscience intact. But, if they remain dolls for too long, then they are permanently trapped in that form.
* TheBusCameBack: Sort of. He was cloned by Slate in ''Reflections''.
* TheCorrupter: To Sam.
* HandBlast: Can fire energy blasts from his fingers.
* MagicStaff: Wields a special Doll Staff that allows him to turn his victims into dolls.

!!Dru Harrington/Giganis
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/monster06.JPG]]
->'''Portrayed by/Voiced by:''' Dwayne Cameron
->'''Voiced by:''' Creator/NobutoshiCanna (Japanese dub)
A Tangar alien that was once friends with Sky back at the SPD academy. However, he secretly defected after meeting Broodwing.
----
* AdaptationSpeciesChange: Enhanced human in ''Dekaranger'', alien in SPD.
* ArmCannon: Has this in his alien form.
* {{Bowdlerise}}: He grew in ''Dekaranger'' by gulping down a handful of pills. Probably because this was too imitatable, in ''SPD'' he just uses an electronic growth device instead.
* BeleagueredChildhoodFriend: To Sky.
* DirtyCop: Former SPD officer turned criminal.
* FaceHeelTurn: He was an SPD officer until he met Broodwing, who taught him to only look out for himself.
* EasyAmnesia: He claims to have this in regards to what happened to him over his year of absence. Jack doesn't buy it for a second.
* MakeMyMonsterGrow: One of the rare criminals to grow, which was done by using a special device.
* TheMole: For his one episode.
* {{Shapeshifting}}: He can switch from human to his natural Tangar form.
* SpottingTheThread: The first hint Sky gets that Dru isn't being truthful is when he runs a background check and finds that the criminal Dru claims to have been chasing before his disappearance, Zantor, was still in prison at the time.
* WeUsedToBeFriends: With Sky. Dru put an end to that when he shot Cruger, then shot Sky.

!!Sinuku
-> '''Voiced by:''' James Coleman
A snake-like alien scientist who escaped from KO-35's satellite prison thanks to Broodwing and Emperor Gruumm.
----
* TheBusCameBack: Sort of. He was cloned by Slate in ''Reflections''.
* CoolSword: Wields one as his main weapon.
* DemotedToExtra: Downplayed. His ''Dekaranger'' counterpart appeared in a two-parter, where Sinuku appeared in one as the aforementioned episodes were compressed.
* FaceHeelTurn: Sinuku used to be a kind hearted scientist, but somewhere along the line, he turned to crime.
* InformedFlaw: According to Bridge, he has bad breath. If he did, no one else ever commented on it, and even then, the only times he would have been close enough was when he wore his helmet, which would have made smelling it difficult.

!!Debugger
-> '''Voiced by:''' ??
A balance-themed monster created from Mora's drawing.
----
* AdaptationalLateAppearance: He was one of the first criminals that appeared in ''Dekaranger''.
* NonStandardCharacterDesign: Debugger's appearance is more alien like and diminutive when compared to the rest of the criminals the Rangers fought in this season.
* SoreLoser: It actually cried when the Rangers were beating it.

!!General Benaag
-> '''Voiced by:''' James Gaylyn
One of Emperor Gruumm's most powerful generals, and the one that led the attack on Sirius.
----
* ItsPersonal: How Cruger viewed Benaag as not only did he help Gruumm destroy Sirius and Cruger's people, but kidnapped and Cruger also believed Benaag killed his wife. [[spoiler:Cruger is wrong about the last one]].
* MookLieutenant: He's higher-ranked than the typical MonsterOfTheWeek, being one of Gruumm's top generals, but isn't prominent enough to be a major antagonist.
* NotMeThisTime: Cruger believed that Benaag murdered his wife after capturing her, but his Patrol Morpher registered that he did not. [[spoiler:Benaag did NOT kill Isinia Cruger]].
* PreExplosionGlow: His defeat has him do this before exploding, as opposed to the Dekaranger version [[SpecialEffectsFailure who had a bunch of sparklers stuck to his chest.]]

!!Drakel
-> '''Voiced by:''' Mike Havoc
A Vampiranoid that stole an evil stone to help with his weakness.
----
* OurVampiresAreDifferent: He's a vampire alien criminal who has the traditional weakness of sunlight.
* WeakenedByTheLight: As a Vampiranoid, Drakel can't stand sunlight, which was why he stole the evil stone. However, its power proved too much for him, allowing the Rangers to defeat him.

!!Valko
-> '''Voiced by:''' Jason Hoyte
A warrior with a reputation for destruction. Mora recruits him in order to gain control of a powerful cyborg named Goradon.
----
* TheDragon: He was hired with the intent of becoming Gruumm's second in command.
* MookLieutenant: A replacement for Benaag.

!!Tomars
-> '''Voiced by:''' Campbell Cooley
An alien hired by Morgana.
----
* TheBusCameBack: Sort of. He was cloned by Slate in ''Reflections''.
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: It is unknown what happened to him after being defeated.

!!Wootox
-> '''Voiced by:''' Jeremy Birchall
An alien that needs a translator to speak English clearly.
----
* AxCrazy: At one point, he nearly breaks his own cover early because he gets the urge to attack a guard who ''didn't'' know he was an imposter and has to flip a coin to decide whether or not to go through with it. It lands on "no", prompting him to tell the confused guard that today's his lucky day.
* FreakyFridayFlip: He swapped bodies with Sky in order to take control of the Delta Command Megazord.
* HeadsOrTails: He makes his decisions based on the flip of a coin.
* KickTheDog: Almost literally, as he ''shot'' R.I.C. when the latter [[EvilDetectingDog started growling at him]] (thankfully with only the taser gun). This bit him in the ass twice though, as he did it right in front of Kat, who realized something was definitely wrong and attacked him, and later on R.I.C. is the one who exposes him once and for all during the SpotTheImposter scene.
* PersonOfMassDestruction: He's apparently wiped out 50 planets in the past, and intends to use the Delta Command Megazord to make Earth the 51st.
* TranslatorCollar: He wears one to communicate with others, and when he switches bodies with Sky he makes sure to break it so Sky can't reveal the truth.
* TheUnintelligible: Without a translator, Wootox speaks in incoherent noises. He takes advantage of this after swapping bodies with Sky by smashing his personal translator, preventing him from telling anyone what happened.
* VoicesAreMental: Played with. He briefly speaks with his own voice when he switches bodies with Sky, but spends the majority of the time when interacting with those unaware of the swap using Sky's voice, only relapsing to his own when he's alone or fighting someone who knows otherwise.

!!Invador
-> '''Voiced by:''' ??
A green-headed criminal that attacked Newtech City with a Robot.
----

!!Green Eyes
-> '''Voiced by:''' Matthew Sutherland
An alien criminal sent to steal gold at a depository.
----
* GigglingVillain: Almost all of his screen time has him laughing hysterically.

!!Shorty
-> '''Voiced by:''' Ray Trickett
The second-most wanted alien Morgana hired to help her take over Earth.
----
* BigNo: Let one out before his destruction.
* TheBrute: The biggest and dangerous criminal the Rangers fought against.
* ExactWords: When he and Morgana are building a device of some kind, Shorty boasts that "devastation will be brought to Earth". At first it seems like they are building a weapon and he is boasting how it will destroy the world, but it turns out it was actually a fireworks machine that sends a message to Shorty's big brother "Devastation", calling him to Earth to help fight the Rangers.
* FluffyTheTerrible: The second most wanted criminal in the galaxy, named "Shorty."
* KilledOffForReal: Oddly enough, for a season that arrests the Aliens, Shorty is one of the few criminals that ''died'' in battle.
* LightningBruiser: He is capable of absorbing lots of damage, even taking a shot from the Canine Cannon (which only knocks him back). He is also able to jump incredible heights.
* MakeMyMonsterGrow: He achieved this by ''eating'' the Canine Cannon's attack.

!!Devastation
-> '''Voiced by:''' Kelson Henderson
The most wanted alien summoned by his younger brother Shorty.
----
* AvengingTheVillain: He doesn't take well to the Omega Ranger killing his younger brother.
* TheBusCameBack: Sort of. He was cloned by Slate in ''Reflections''.
* CurbStompBattle: The fight with Morgana and Shorty quickly turns into this when he shows up, with him personally dishing out one against Cruger. Later, he manages to easily drop the other rangers like flies.
* EnergyAbsorption: He uses the circle of fury to trap the Rangers and attempts to drain their energy.
* HopeCrusher: The Rangers have nearly defeated Morgana and Shorty, then he shows up and the fight turns into a CurbStompBattle in the villains' favor. If Sam hadn't come back, Devastation would've enabled Gruumm to conquer Earth.
* ItsPersonal: Him originally showing up? Just helping his little bro. The Omega Ranger killing his bro? Oh, now it's on.
* NearVillainVictory: Would have succeeded in defeating SPD if not for the Omega Ranger's arrival.

!!Mysticon
-> '''Voiced by:''' Barnie Duncan
A magician that turned to crime.
----
* HypnotizeTheCaptive: Hypnotized Syd into being his LovelyAssistant, but the spell is broken once she morphs.

!!Al
-> '''Voiced by:''' Barnie Duncan
The assistant to Mysticon.
----
* {{Invisibility}}: Used this thanks to Mysticon's powers, allowing him to rob banks.
* PerpSweating: Went through this after the Rangers arrested him, and only broke down after Bridge started rambling.
* WhatHappenedToTheMouse: It's unknown what happens to him after the interrogation, but he most likely was arrested.

!!Slate
-> '''Voiced by:''' Jeremy Birchall
A copycat {{Shapeshifting}} criminal.
----
* CollectorOfForms: Can only take on the forms of those whom he's scanned the "bioprint" of, and pays Broodwing an exorbitant amount to gain the bio-data of Devastation, one of the Rangers' most powerful foes.
* MeaningfulName: His name is a reference to the expression "blank slate", due to showing no distinct features.
* MesACrowd: Was cloned by Morgana into six copies so each could turn into a past criminal.
* {{Shapeshifting}}: With some DNA provided by Broodwing, Slate was able to transform into past criminals.

!!Mirloc
-> '''Voiced by:''' Mike Drew
A dangerous criminal with the power to travel through any reflective surface. He was also the criminal that killed Sky's father years ago.
----
* AdaptationalBackstoryChange: In ''Dekaranger'', he killed Tekkan's (Sam's Sentai counterpart) parents. In ''Power Rangers'', he killed Sky's father.
* ArchEnemy: He becomes Sky’s most hated enemy, after the latter learns Mirloc is the criminal who killed his father.
* FauxAffablyEvil: He has an air of politeness while talking to Sky in prison, but quickly makes it clear he is an utter {{Sadist}} who loves nothing more than making people suffer.
* IShallTauntYou: When he realizes that Sky is the son of the Red Ranger he killed, Mirloc goes out his way to taunt Sky about it, as well as mock him for letting him escape.
* HeroKiller: Killed Sky's father a previous Red Ranger.
* ItsPersonal: After Sky learns Mirloc was responsible for his father’s death, he becomes determined to arrest him and avenge his father.
* KnightOfCerebus: As far as [[MonsterOfTheWeek Monsters Of The Week]] go, he is easily one of the darkest. He gets Sky to talk about the painful memory of his father's death, and then mocks him for it just to make him shed a tear, allowing him to escape. Right afterwards we learn he was the one who killed Sky's father in the first place.
* LaserGuidedKarma: Makes a lot of sense that he would be brought in by the son of the Ranger he killed years ago.
* LogicalWeakness: As he needed reflective surfaces, Mirloc was initially detained in a prison with none of those, with even visitors having any reflective materials covered, ''including'' the eyes. After he was arrested again, Mirloc was sent to a prison on Verinox 12, where there is no sunlight, meaning that no reflections can exist for him to use as a means of escape.
* ManipulativeBastard: In exchange for info on Slate, Mirloc demands Sky tell him the worst memory he has. Sky reluctantly tells him about the day his father died, and Mirloc takes advantage of Sky being unable to hold back tears by using their reflective surface to escape the prison.
* PhantomZonePicture: Can trap his victims in mirrors.
* ReflectiveTeleportation: Mirloc can travel through any reflective surface. The high-security prison cell he is held in takes extra precautions to keep anything reflective away, including covering SPD badges and giving visitors opaque sunglasses (since human eyes are themselves reflective). [[spoiler:However, when Mirloc asks for Sky to tell him his worst memory in exchange for his help with the VillainOfTheWeek, Sky's SingleTear gives Mirloc the opportunity to escape. Even worse? The memory was of Sky's dad's death, ''which Mirloc himself was responsible for''.]]
