After joining the Timerangers, Tatsuya decides to move out of his father's house and uses his savings to rent the building that would be the Timeranger's home. Tatsuya works as a Karate Teacher at Tomorrow Research. When operating the Robo formations, Tatsuya is usually in charge of accessing the finisher moves to recapture the Londers Prisoners by wielding a miniature version of the Space-Time Sword/Chrono Divider to mimic the movement pattern. Although Yuri is the team leader, Tatsuya is the driving force of the Timerangers, essentially acting as field commander during the battles.

However, Domon who comes from a large family is the only one who truly misses the 30th century and had some resentment towards Captain Ryuya for trapping them in the 20th century which he took out on Tatsuya when they first met due to his resemblance to Ryuya. Although Domon works as the self-defense teacher at Tomorrow Research, he never got any students. Domon also argues with Ayase frequently. !! Naoto Takizawa/Time Fire

->'''Portrayed by''': Shinji Kasahara

Tatsuya's 28 year old [[TheRival rival]] and leader of the City Guardians established by the Asami Group. Unlike Tatsuya, Naoto came from the other side of the tracks, getting by on a scholarship as the two of them attended prep school. Naoto [[GreenEyedMonster envied]] Tatsuya and wanted to be the better of the two. After becoming Time Fire, the Asami group attempted to analyze the technology for mass production, but could not fully understand the 30th century Technology. Later he found out through Sion that the Londers monsters are just prisoners and only need to be recaptured. He then learned that the Timerangers came from the 30th century, and because of his desire for power he chose to find a way to use his new knowledge of the Timerangers to his advantage. Near the finale, after Wataru Asami was hospitalized in a previous episode, Naoto was able to use that knowledge to gain full control of the City Guardians. Naoto also owned two pet birds, Tora and Sakura, which he later gives to a little girl.

%%* LawOfChromaticSuperiority
* PerpetualFrowner: He is always seen without a smile on his face.
* RedemptionEqualsDeath: Despite his rivalry with Tatsuya, what he does towards the end of the series easily makes up for it. That includes him [[spoiler:voluntarily giving his V-Commander to Tatsuya]] to help end the disaster plaguing the 20th century when he is killed by [[spoiler:a Zenitt]].
%%* RedOniBlueOni: The blue to Tatsuya's red.
* TheRival: He views Tatsuya as his rival, given that Naoto grew up in poverty.
* SixthRanger: While he never officially joined the Timerangers, he was labelled as the sixth ranger as of ''Gokaiger''.

[[folder:Londerz Family]]
!! Don Dolnero
-> '''Voiced by''': Creator/RyuzaburoOtomo

* AlliterativeName: '''D'''on '''D'''olnero.
* BenevolentBoss: At least by the standards of mob bosses, he deeply loves his family.

* TheDon: He's the leader of his mob boss and appropriately enough, his first name is Don.
* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: Saved Gien's life after the latter helped him hide from his enemies and genuinely cares for both his moll Lira and the criminals he inducts into his family.
* EvenEvilHasStandards: He may be a ruthless mafia boss and a murderous thug, but even Dolnero draws the line at killing for pleasure and he knows there are some things worth more than money.
* EvilSoundsDeep: Creator/RyuzaburoOtomo voices Dolnero with a deep and guttural growl.
* FatBastard: He's overweight and is a mob boss.
* TheHeavy: The focal antagonist and driving force for most of the show, at least until [[spoiler:Gien goes crazy and kills him]].
* HeelFaceTurn: Towards the end of the series, [[spoiler:Dolnero attempts to help the City Guardians and the Timerangers stop Gien from becoming the main threat to the 20th century. [[RedemptionEqualsDeath His final attempt results in his death]], but not before handing over all of the remaining Londers prisoners to the Timerangers]].
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Despite his maliciousness and greedy personality, Dolnero deeply loves his family to the point that [[spoiler:he asks the Timerangers to take his remaining criminals back to the 30th century in his dying moments]].
* MoneyFetish: In Case 14, Gien says that he doesn't really need money since he can just take what he wants. He responds that he just loves ''having'' money. However, he does know that there are some things that aren't worth money.
* MyGodWhatHaveIDone: He deeply regrets what happened when [[spoiler:he turned Gien into a robot]].
* OneLastSmoke: [[spoiler:Dolnero attempts to smoke his last cigar after Gien mortally wounds him, but is unable to do so]].
* RedemptionEqualsDeath: [[spoiler:After realizing the depths of Gien's insanity, Dolnero turns over the remaining criminals to the Timerangers and goes to try and talk some sense into Gien, but is killed in the process.]]
* WouldHurtAChild: Or at the very least is willing to hire a hit-man to take out an entire family just because the father was a detective investigating Dolnero's criminal organization.
* [[UglyGuyHotWife Ugly Guy Hot Moll]]: With Lira.
* UnwittingPawn: Everything he did at the start of ''Timeranger'' which kickstarted everything was allowed to happen by [[spoiler:Ryuya]].

!! Lira
->'''Portrayed by:''' Asami Kuru

* AmbiguouslyHuman: Though she is shown to be able to eat.
* AmbiguouslyBrown: In one episode, after she went on vacation at a resort, she returned ALL brown. Back to normal the next episode though.
%%* DarkChick
* GirlsWithGuns: Notable, as villainesses from [[Series/GekisouSentaiCarranger Zonnette]] to [[Series/KyukyuSentaiGoGoV Denus]] all use swords.

%%* MasterOfDisguise

* DarkAndTroubledPast: [[spoiler:He used to be a normal boy who befriended Dolnero. When Dolnero's enemies found him, they killed him. Not only does Dolnero rebuild him, but he soon realizes that Gien has actually gone insane from the conversion]].
* TheDragon: He serves as Dolnero's second-in-command.
* DragonAscendant: [[spoiler:He takes over as the main villain in the present after killing Dolnero in the final episodes of ''Timeranger'']].
%%* EvilGenius
* FinalBoss: [[spoiler:After killing Dolnero, he becomes the main threat to the 20th century. Even though Captain Asami is the true BigBad of the series, the FinalBattle was against Gien]].
* ForTheEvulz: He has a disturbing love for causing destruction, even when there's no benefit to it. He even admits that he considers it a hobby. And his desire for destruction only gets worse as the series progresses.
* TheHeavy: [[spoiler:After killing Dolnero, Gien takes over as the driving villain of the story, even though Ryuya's the actual main villain]].
%%* RoboticPsychopath
* SanitySlippage: Over the course of the series, he goes insane due to his conversion into a robot and eventually [[spoiler:becoming the main threat to the 20th century]].
* TragicVillain: One of biggest examples in ''Franchise/SuperSentai''. [[spoiler:Once a human who developed a friendship with Dolnero, he was killed by a rival gang. Dolnero, saddened by his death, rebuilt him as a robot. Unfortunately, the process starts to drive him insane, and by the end of the series, he kills Dolnero in his madness and nearly destroys the present. To make matters worse, he was nothing more than a weapon of mass destruction to Ryuya, who used him as a pawn to save his own life]].
* UnwittingPawn: [[spoiler:To Ryuya. In order for Ryuya to be saved, the catastrophe caused by Gien in the present had to happen]].
* WasOnceAMan: [[spoiler:He was originally a human before Dolnero's enemies killed him. Dolnero himself has Gien rebuilt as a result]].
* WoobieDestroyerOfWorlds: [[spoiler: He was once just a human boy that Don Dolnero befriended while hiding from a rival family. Said family found him, tortured and killed him for fun under the pretence of being for not revealing Dolnero's location. Dolnero brought him to a friend of his to transfer his mind to a robot body, that had side effects that were driving him insane. That's right, the FinalBoss of the series is a cyborg ''with the damaged mind of a human boy.'' Quite possibly one of the most tragic Sentai villains.]]

[[folder:The Mastermind]]
!!Captain Ryuya

-> '''Portrayed by''': Masaru Nagai

The stern captain of the Timerangers. He helps the Timerangers by sending them mecha and weapons, should the rangers need this.

In actuality, he's the true villain of the series. Having received a vision of two possible catastrophes - one in the past, one in the present - Ryuya is concerned solely with the fact that he dies in both possibilities. As a result, he took actions to ensure that the catastrophe in the past would occur and that his own life would be saved. To do this, he set Don Dolnero free, kickstarting the entire plot and putting Gien in a position where the catastrophe could happen. When the Timerangers barring Tatsuya return to the future, they make an attempt to escape to help Tatsuya, during which Ayase fatally wounds Ryuya, prompting him to reveal all he's done.

* AmbitionIsEvil: His ambition is to change the way he died in the futures that he visited.
* BadassNormal: To an extent. While he's not The Heavy and doesn't get a proper fight, he's the only normal human to be the BigBad for the season. While there have been former humans or humanoids as main villains, all of them, even the final villains of ''Flashman'' and ''Liveman'', had some sort of superhuman powers. Ryuya, as part of his plan, gave up his powers and only briefly took Tatsuya's Time Red powers.
* BigBad: The main antagonist of the series. Dolnero and Gien were nothing more than pawns to him.
* BigGood: What he tries to come off as. As the series goes on, his benevolent image slowly breaks apart until he reveals his villainy.
* TheCaptain: He serves as the captain of the Timerangers, communicating with Tac to help provide weapons and mecha.
* CharacterDeath: He is killed during his scuffle with Ayase in the GrandFinale.
* TheChessmaster: He manipulates time and history to correct the disaster that would happen in the future and his death. In the end, however, he fails at preventing his own death from occurring.
* EvilAllAlong: He's not nearly as well-intentioned as he appears. The whole series is a result of his actions, and he likely manipulated everything before the start.
* FaceHeelTurn: After learning that he was destined to die, Ryuuya decided to turn his back on the Time Patrol and become a villain.
* FallenHero: He was the original Time Fire who later changed time to prevent disasters and his own death from occurring after learning that he was destined to die.
* IdenticalGrandson: He is Tatsuya's descendant from the future.
* LightIsNotGood: Dresses in white, yet is far more evil than the Londerz Family - Dolnero and Lira have good qualities while Gien has the excuse of being driven insane.
* TheManBehindTheMan: Dolnero would never have gotten out and Gien would never have gone crazy if he didn't let them.
* ManInWhite: As a requirement for all Time Patrol members, Ryuya wears a white uniform.
* NonActionBigBad: Despite being able to wield the Time Red and Time Fire powers, he does little actual fighting in the series, preferring to manipulate everyone else instead.
* TyrantTakesTheHelm: Takes the Time Red powers from Tatsuya near the end of the show in a bit of a {{Jerkass}} move. Come TheReveal, it's played perfectly straight.
%%* TheUnfettered
* TheUnfought: There was never a full battle with him, but instead, he was killed off while trying to stop the Timerangers from going back and stopping Gien. Gien took FinalBoss status while Ryuya remained one of the few final ''Sentai'' Big Bads to not get a proper fight, shared only with [[Series/ChoujuuSentaiLiveman Great Professor Bias]] and [[Series/ChoushinseiFlashman Great Doctor Lee Keflen.]]
* WalkingSpoiler: It's hard not to talk about the character without mentioning a huge twist that occurs in the second half of the series, much less his wham of a death speech.
* WhamEpisode: More like a Wham Scene. His dying speech accomplishes quite a lot, as he effectively reveals that he was a far greater threat than Dolnero or Gien, even if he was less powerful.
* YouCantFightFate: Ryuya attempts to correct time and history to prevent his death, but ends up getting himself killed regardless of his actions.
